Machete and Vasco are so pomegranate-and-the-hand-that-slices coded. To me.

Pomegranates are seen as messy, bloody, inconvenient fruits. You slice or tear or bite and in return for your effort you come away underwhelmed, disgusted, and stained too deep to wash. The consumption of a pomegranate is a violent act of defilement, for both the fruit and the eater.

But that is because most do not understand how to open a pomegranate. They have little patience for the precise carving. They see no point in coreing the fruit gently, no reason to be reverent as they pull the quarters apart. When done correctly, opening a pomegranate leaves little mess. Your fingers will still stain, your knife will still slick, but there will be no pool of crimson drowning both you and the fruit.

The seeds are only sweet to those who understand the merit of a light hand and intricate slicing. Why put in so much effort for a food so bitter and clearly armored against consumption? Surely it must not yearn to be eaten.

He had to be sent out with a party, of course- they wouldn't send the teens in alone despite their proven experience this time. Odessa was probably busy or on break, so he's going in without her for now. If it did end up being something that needed to be slain or something though, she'll be the first one to know. Glaive in hand, kinsect on his head, Frosting makes his way toward the location described within the recess by himself for now. He wanted to scout ahead within the cave, a quick dip in and back out if he spotted any form of danger.

He'd wonder what the monster looked like, or if they had given it a name yet. Physical descriptions only went so far after all. The injury reports also imply some level of fire and ice control, like an Alatreon minus the other elements. Frosting was more interested in potentially figuring out what its whole deal was peacefully than having to put a glaive to its flesh though.

It'd... probably be fine- he trusted himself to get out of a bad situation. He's done it a few times now; barely escaping an angry Rajang, dodging a Raging Brachydios trying to pin him down... now he thinks about it, he wonders why so many of those monsters were so angry nowadays.

Coming up to the... briefly giant hole in the wall, dotted with clusters of bioenergy crystals- Frosting pauses, looking up at it with a small "huh." Standing outside, just to... admire it for a moment. He doesn't recall it being here back when he had to frequent the recess- at least, he thinks it wasn't here. It's been been a long time, and the higher ups probably also said it was new? Ah, well...

He peeks into the area, glancing around just to make sure there wasn't anything immediately before fully entering. It seemed pretty safe, for now. But as he walked deeper in, he'd get to see the creature that he was sent out to look into

So I take Astronomy 101, and it has been very interesting as a demigod. Everyone knows that all the planets except Earth are named after the Roman gods.

But apparently, modern astronomers are determined to keep up with the mythology theme. The planet Jupiter has upwards of 90-95 ish moons that we know of so far. Not all of them are named, but a lot of them that are, are named after obscure figures that even most demigods have never heard of.

For example, Praxidice. Never heard of her before. According to some brief research, she’s the goddess of carrying out justice.

Good to know. Next time something unjust happens, I’ll pray to Praxidice to help me set it straight.

Also, Jason! If you’re reading this, I got another goddess for you to design a temple for!
