realistic

On the one hand, likes to be in a position of power and likes to look intimidating because she doesn’t want anyone fucking with her.  On the other hand, kind of aggressively non-controlling due to her history.  I’m sort of imagining she has this inner feeling of a sort of lust for power and control, but actively fights it a lot of the time because there’s just a certain line she wants to stay faaaaaaaaar away from crossing.

Hmmmm actually.  Extremely funny to imagine her having intricate shower arguments with herself.  Would absolutely piss herself off about something someone did/said in her mind. Mad at you because you were annoying her in her dream last night.

painful and fun to inflict

I already touched on this in a fic but it’s v important to me lol – with her kind of forceful personality, it’s not as obvious as with someone more placating, but she is absolutely hyper-attuned to people’s mood changes and very good at distracting/defusing.  If she wants to pick a fight, it’s going to be on her terms.

Personally I like to pretend the calliope thing is a little less…….intense?  than the game makes it.  I think of it more like Persephone kind of has a habit of begrudgingly picking up strays, they got involved and it got messy, and now Persephone more just kind of feels bad about the way things ended and weird about grace technically having her soul or w/e, rather than truly not over calliope and still in love with her.  because otherwise grace/Persephone just feels……..weird in an unpleasant and un-fun way, for me personally LOL.

Stray gods should have portrayed hades wrong for kidnapping persephone but not abusive towards her. But I do think make him and persephone eventually just divorce with her running the nightclub and him still in the underworld bitter about the divorce. Make him react to a lot 0f the other pantheon killed 0ff and confrontations with Orpheus still bitter about what happened centuries ago and tries telling him he needs to realize he never tricked him and its his own fault. Maybe during a romance run with her try reconciling them where they put their differences aside and finally bury the hatchet. And hades if you romance persephone says he gives you his blessing to care and love his ex wife. Basically have their relationship be influenced by hadestown. Also thrown in lethe and minthe to hades where he could mention his strung of failed romances. Minthe could portrayed as the side person he regrets cheating on persephone with or she's his ex who he set aside to pursue persephone and tried and failed to make him cheat while demeter put a stop to it.

Basically portray the gods with complexity? Yeah they should’ve done that.
