I know winter will always be a difficult time for Persephone. But I wanted to portray new beginnings with Grace.

I keep thinking about the places in Stray Gods. Athena has an aseptic modern office crammed full of museum pieces and the memory of Old Olympus behind a door. The god of the wild lives in a beautiful but tiny walled garden on top of a skyscraper. The queen of the dead in exile has recreated the underworld in neon on top of the grave of disco (and Dionysus’ fiscal irresponsibility lol). Apollo lives in a fall-down shack on the shore of an ocean where a past version of himself was relieved to find himself drowning, like a sun waiting to slip below the horizon and out of sight forever. They’re half ghosts already

Unpopular opinion (kind of?): But personally, I think Stray Gods has one the best adaptations of Persephone that I've seen
