NEXT TOURNAMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Some of you were very diligent about submitting candidates for the Best Fictional Dinosaur Tournament, known famously(ish) as the Saurnament. You didn't hesitate to submit every single member of your favorite dinosaur themed group of characters... however, due to such injustices as "taxonomy" and "evolutionary lineage" and "fundamentally differing skeletal plans", you were unfairly forced to leave exactly one (1) member of said team out of your submissions.

Well, I've assumed and then heard your complaints, and it is for that reason that I am proud and somewhat terrified to announce the next tournament that I will host right here on this blog...

The Best Fictional Pterosaur Tournament, also known as the Ptournament!!!

The rules for this tournament are much the same as the previous tournament, except of course for the defining criteria being that all submissions must be fictional characters that ARE or PRIMARILY BASED ON pterosaurs!

In addition, UNLIKE the last tournament, you will be able to submit propaganda for any candidate, which will be added to every poll they are involved in!

Details to follow such as dates for opening submissions, etc in another post, but for now please just spread the word and get ready if you're interested! And if not, well, no hard feelings, feel free to unfollow, but please consider reblogging a few posts to potentially notify any of your followers if they are interested!

I know what you're thinking; "What is that ???? Fanart of another franchise???? Could it be done?????". I would be as shocked as you are, if not for the fact that This Moment in the glorious ArleFuri fanfic linked above, written by my beloved bestie @draconicstella88888, leads up to what might be one of the most stunning parts of writing I have ever read. Genuinely had me at a loss for words when I first read it, which I will brag about being one of the first ones to do, because I have been handed the honors of actually beta reading this beautiful story !!

If you haven't already, take this as a sign that y'all should read this too! You don't even have to know anything about the game lore to enjoy it enough to have scenes live in your head rent-free for days and weeks and months on end. Take me as an example of that lol <333

If you find yourself stressing over every action to be the most moral and going to debilitating lengths to make sure you're daily life never negatively affects someone in any way or..say, your favorite artists are "good" people before enjoying a song or a movie or something, or even treating other people badly for not going to those same debilitating lengths then remember Chidi Anagonye who literally made himself and everyone around him miserable and ended up in the bad place for having moral OCD when the reality was that you have no choice but to participate in your society no matter how flawed it is and while that's not an excuse to not try, you should not expect yourself or anyone else to be "perfect".

There was a theory post speculating that Hecate is another timeline's future Mel who time traveled back, and one of the points was "Hecate is hiding her left eye (which is red)"

and I'm sorry to bring the bad news that

Hecate isn't "hiding" her other eye, it's just shaded in the portrait but briefly visible when you beat her. And it isn't quite red.
