Someone absolutely NEEDS to write a fanfic of the Squadron of Justice(basically a bunch of Fawcett superheroes) meeting the JL and Cap being like: oh yeah, these guys all live and fight in the same city. I’ve known them all since I was a toddler. We do karaoke sometimes.

Idk why, but I feel like they’re the type of team to go out like almost every day and call it a team bonding exercise. They just have fun without holding back ya know?

A Valentines Day-esque piece in a medium I (fittingly) have a love-hate relationship with - gouache.

This is the first real attempt I've made with gouache after college, and I think I'm starting to warm up to it, at least used this way, rather than being concerned about blocks of clean, flat hues.

I make no secret of the fact that I *loathe* the January-February months, and this holiday in particular, but I'm really rather proud of this piece, and I'll likely be playing around with it a lot in my spare time (members of the Corvid Conspiracy on my Patreon will have access to my adventures with gouache experiments as I go along).

Anyway! To stationary-hell with Valentines Day, and a truly Happy Discount Cinnamon Candy and Chocolates Day for my fellow Corvid Friends! May your discount deals be plentiful, and where desirable, ✨shiny✨.

I've been studying the legacies and mantles of the DC universe for quite a while now and something that caught my eye was the fact that there is no golden age green arrow, or well, no golden age green arrow substitute.

I'm well aware that Ollie existed during the 40s but DC didn't bother to pull a young All-stars with him so my question is...

So marksman, Bowman and golden arrow are all characters that DC owns/made while arrow, scarlet arrow and young Robin hood are public domain heroes that I found.

Bowman technically is already the golden age equivalent because the freedom brigade started as a parody of the JLA but when it got merged into new earth it also meant that it predated it by at least 20 years but DC will never explore that.
