off topic from echoes of wisdom but i feel like sometimes people forget that the very first link in the legend of zelda series, the hero of hyrule himself, defeated ganon not with the help of the triforce of courage but with the help of the triforce of wisdom. that's very much what makes him stand out from all the other links (that and his sheer innate magical ability—there is not a single other link in the series who was capable of magic on the same level as the hero of hyrule was). or maybe people just don't pay attention to the original two games but i do and the hero of hyrule is definitely up there on the list of my favorite links.
