Why do you ship Rory and Logan? What do you like about their relationship? What makes you feel they are compatible? What do you say to haters who don’t like Rory and Logan together?

Before the Revival shot everything to hell, Rory and Logan were probably the most healthy and stable relationship on the show. They grew and evolved together, helped to bring out the best in one another and got to a place where they knew how to work through their problems maturely and communicate well with one another.

Logan is like a good combination of Dean and Jess’ best traits. He matches Rory intellectually and in intelligence and is adventurous and a little bit of a bad boy, like Jess. But he adores her and commits to her like Dean and is a lot more stable than Jess ever was. He complements her - his wild side offsets her more responsible side, and they help to balance one another. Their relationship forces Rory out of her comfort zone and helps to bring her out of her shell and show her new things and new experiences, and it helps to ground and stabilise Logan, forcing him to grow up and accept responsibility and commitment.

It’s really amazing to watch their relationship evolve, from casual sex-buddies, to a deep, committed partnership. I like how assertive Rory is in the relationship, a nice change from the way she would accept Jess’ bad behaviour. When she wanted to stop being casual, she had no problem telling Logan this and did so with confidence. When Logan screws up in Seasons 6 and 7, she has no problem in telling him off about his behaviour. Likewise, Logan does not pander to her the way Dean (and even sometimes Jess) did, often calling her out when she crosses the line or displays shitty behaviour or treats him badly. They know how to stand up to one another and help each other overcome their flaws and shortcomings.

They also encourage and believe in one another, are there for each other and strive to see the best in one another. Rory is very supportive of Logan striking out on his own and in turn Logan encourages her to pursue her dreams, regardless of him. It’s such a pity that Season 7 ended their relationship so abruptly (and in a somewhat OOC manner), as Rory and Logan definitely had the foundation upon which to build a strong marriage, and we know that Logan would not have held Rory back in the slightest - quite the opposite, in fact.

Rory and Logan were an amazing pairing. They communicated, worked through their issues together, grew individually and as a couple and brought out the best in one another. They changed because of one another and became better people for it and I will always love their relationship, despite the way the Revival screwed it into the ground.
