Her name is Gloria, she knows people at the sorority, and she does not know good music when it's mentioned to her. "Ugh, no!" "But the piano solo -" "Who cares about the piano solo? Have you listened to those disgusting lyrics?" "Who listens to lyrics?" "I do!"

Nonetheless, she condescends to accept a coffee over which to continue the discussion.

This guy she shares a class with can butt right out, though.

StrangeSpot, Round Seventeen: Vu

Things go pretty swimmingly for the Vu family this round. Finn explores his passion for science, Dakota is adorable, Crystal becomes an interpretive dancer, Scot hires the omnipresent butler Scott Darga, and dormie Gloria Mundi approves of Scot and Crystal’s makeout sessions by the pool. The danger of falling in is part of the fun!

That’s what Travis says through tears when Natalie tells him she’s going to help search for his brother whether he wants her help or not.

Jackie didn’t mean to but what happened between her & Travis also wasn’t his fault & what the others did to him that night definitely wasn’t his fault. He was drugged against his will without his knowledge & totally out of it. I think that’s a big part of why he won’t talk to Natalie right after the events of “Doomcoming.” Obviously it had to to with his anger over their previous breakup but also stress over finding Javi but also I think it had to do with shame.

The scenes toward the end of the season 1 finale when it’s juxtaposing the past & present will always get me. Here you have Jackie Taylor homecoming queen remembered with slideshows & speeches, versus exiled loser freezing to death alone. Here you have young Natalie promising to help Travis versus Natalie alone & older (& much more ate up) crying over Travis’s autopsy photographs because he promised her he’d never kill himself but it’s not a promise he could keep.

Travis was just a vulnerable teenager with no romantic experience. It becomes so increasingly clear that his occasional early misogyny toward Natalie was pure idiotic inexperience + maybe him mirroring his dad, who was a dick. I also find it interesting that Kevin, who didn’t know Travis well, mentions how he loved Natalie at the high school reunion. Of course, this could be a writer mistake forgetting what the characters vs audience knows. But from a Watsonian perspective, maybe Travis always kinda liked Nat. Or maybe Nat talked about it a little, after the crash when she came back home considering she was once so close with Kevin.

I just know Travis is honestly so sad to me as a character & that it should be recognized the absolute horrors he went through.

StrangeSpot, Round Twenty Seven: Fraternity (Uni)

Both pleasure mains, Cosmo and Finn are having different college experiences. While Cosmo is madly in love with DJ Verse (they've even talked about getting engaged one day), Finn has no clue how to navigate the social aspect of being a frat lad. He takes solace in the fact that he's doing well academically, while Cosmo is teetering on the precipice of expulsion, but still... it would be nice to make it through a conversation without finding the dormies so dull! Poor Gloria Mundi didn't know what she was in for. My advice for Finn: chuck a shirt on and ask questions to get people talking!
