God waiting for LMK season 5 episodes to appear feels like this

So I had a kinda wild Lmk dream last night and I figured I could ramble about it-

So, in this dream, there’s another big world ending threat that they need help from a specific person to defeat the bad guy that’s behind this new threat to the world. This person they need help from is the long armed gibbon

Thing is, she (btw the long armed gibbon is female in this dream) was actually imprisoned by Wukong (she got the deluxe version of being trapped under a mountain like Wukong was, meaning it took a lot more to keep her contained) because she was incredibly powerful and dangerous. This means Wukong knows where she was and they go to where she’s trapped at, and when they get there, she’s gone, she escaped somehow.

So they have to go find her and when they finally manage to do so after a bunch of searching around and journey shenanigans that I can’t remember the details of, Wukong tells her they need her help and she looks at him and says, “No. I’m not helping you.”

And that’s what happened in my dream, I think I woke up after that so sadly it ended with the Long armed Gibbon telling Wukong no-

MK isn't actually a real monkey demon is he? Like is he from the same stone as SWK? Did he get abandoned on the side of the road or something??

Okay, this is something we don’t have the whole story on yet, so take what I’m about to say with a grain of salt, but based off what was shown, MK does seem to actually be a monkey demon, though I do not believe he is from the same stone that Wukong came from.

In season 4, MK has several visions or flashbacks when he talks to the scroll memory of Master Subhodi, some are very telling of what MK’s origin might be. These two images in particular are especially important.

These heavily hint towards that MK is not some human, he’s a stone money that was made by someone, who is believed to be Nuwa. That’s the only conclusion I can come to, why else would MK have these visions when asked about his past, the reason why is because this is his past, given he has absolutely no memory of having parents or a family, but was instead found and taken in by Pigsy. And given the fact that he goes monkey in the very next episode-

However we don’t know how exactly MK wound up in front of Pigsys shop, it is speculated that Wukong is responsible for this, since it is implied that he knew about MK before he was even around since cause of this screenshot

This is believed to be Wukong looking at the rock MK would eventually come from, it most likely is since we see the rock cracking open, almost like an egg.

So to answer your question, yes, MK is most likely a real monkey demon, but I don’t think he was born from the same stone Wukong came from since Wukong was already around before MK even existed, but we don’t know for sure what Wukong did with MK and we don’t know the full story behind MK’s creation yet. So I know I said I wanted to try and check out different things and make not just lmk art, but now that season 5 is said to be completed and they’re just waiting to release it, I’m scared LMK is gonna break into my brain again with a vengeance and that’s all I’m gonna make art of again even though I wanna try making art for multiple fandoms-

I really need to get around to making my own interpretation/design of the monkey boys, cause I have ideas of how I see them looking (along with other characters that I wanna/need to draw more but that’s besides the point) and have a general idea of how I wanna draw them but I’ve never actually applied these ideas to a canvas and see how’d they look outside of my head-

I know I don’t post a lot of art and stories, especially at a consistent pace, but I’m happy I was still able to reach my first milestone, I couldn’t have done it without all of you!! Hmmmmmmmm I wanna draw and share other things on here that aren’t LMK related, and sometimes not fandom related in general, but my brain goes, “But that’s all you post! What about the lmk oc’s, au’s and stories and such you wanna share and do stuff with? Are you just going to forget about them?!” And it’s frustrating cause it’s my blog and I should be able to share what I want to share, and I’ve been wanting to check out and maybe get into other things like Cult of the Lamb, Hollow Knight, Slay the Princess, Trigun, Dungeon Meshi, I could go on, but my brain is mean to me

Sometimes I just need to remind myself that this is my blog, I can make and share whatever I wish despite what my brain tells me, I’m not chained to only be into one thing and that’s it. Whether it be fandom, characters, art style, etc. I can explore and check out different things, if you stick to only one thing you’re gonna eventually get bored and things will stagnate and then you’ll get burnt out, it’s not a bad thing to take a break from something and try different things, it’s good for you actually

Hello, I'm a LMK fandom newbie, as in I stayed up until 5am binge-watching the show and hopped onto tumblr and ao3 for the fanart and fics before I finished S4 and got jumpscared by what I thought was spoilers only to proceed finishing the show and discovering those ideas are way too prevalent for them to end up...not in the show at all. So I'm wondering if there's like, some extra material I missed asides from the four seasons and specials, like. I would presume Macaque and Sun Wukong's backstory comes from The Actual Journey to the West the fandom decided to use because ain't nobody killing anybody here, JJK round two there for a minute and I was baffled...but I'm wondering where the other stuff comes from, there's so many characters I don't see in the show, I paused typing this for a minute to look up the origin of the Bai He stuff so I know that now lmao, but Princess Iron Fan and Macaque being siblings?? Ello? And I paused again while typing this because I was still baffled by the varying different "why did SWK kill MQ" takes that ain't no way that's all coming from a single story and apparently it was implied in S3 helloooooo 😭 fandom phenomenon of fanworks going so hard for no reason the expectations I built up on the final episode going "okay this is it, then I sleep, this has to be the one with the full flashback right...right?!" I think that's what fandom might've done with the side characters too lol.

Alright, so there’s a number of things to address here, but I will do my best to try and explain everything to the best of my ability-

So firstly, yes in JTTW, Sun Wukong kills Macaque, they weren’t sworn brothers or anything like that, they didn’t have any sort of relationship, Macaque swooped in, pretended to be Sun Wukong, fought Wukong a lot while literally everyone is trying to figure out who is the real one, but eventually Buddha exposes Macaque, and Wukong kills him. There is evidence to support that Wukong did kill Macaque in LMK as well, since in season 3 LBD says she brought Macaque back to the mortal realm, and Wukong and Macaque are shown to have fought, with Wukong coming out victorious, so it’s safe to assume yes, Wukong did kill Macaque in lmk as well, the reason behind why he did so is unknown currently, some people think it’s because Macaque attacked the gang in an attempt to save Wukong, but we don’t have a reason for it in the show, but I do hope we get one.

Regarding Princess Iron Fan and Macaque being siblings, that is just a headcanon the fandom made, at this point there’s nothing even implying such a thing in the show as far as I’m aware, I understand why you’d think that’s canon because when I first got into lmk, I thought that was true too. The lmk fandom does like to use characters that aren’t in show, but do appear in lmk Lego sets, such as Rumble and Savage, or characters from jttw, like Wukong’s four generals, Marshals Ma, Beng, Ba and Liu, for lmk fanfiction and au’s. Ultimately it does take some research to figure out what is actually canon, and what is just a fandom headcanon, a lot of side characters in lmk, like Jin and Yin, sadly don’t have a lot of chances to shine or do anything really noteworthy more than maybe once or twice, so we don’t get to really know too much about them, so we take what we can and add more to it, make our own interpretation and put our own spin on things.

I hope I was able to help clear up any confusion you might have, I’m sorry if I didn’t really help that much or if I missed anything or got something wrong, this is my first time being asked about something like this, but I hope that this helped, even just a little bit!
