#artist milestone

Today, I surprised myself with a bit of a milestone. A couple of days ago, I realized that the sketchbook that I had been drawing in only had one page left. Today, that page has been used.

It's a small feat, but I'm very proud of myself. I know I don't draw professionally like I would like to, but I'm still proud.

I don't care who sees this, whether you have seen my art before or not, or even if you care, because I am happy and proud to have finally done this again after so many years of abandoned sketchbooks because of how much I hated my work. I am learning to love my art again, and while this would be seen by many as a small step, to me it is the biggest milestone I've crossed in almost a decade, and I couldn't be happier. 🩷🩷🩷

So, I just reached 100 followers?? I’m super happy and thankful to be able to get to this point, I’m grateful to all 100 of you guys for sticking around and enjoying what I make!! I know I don’t post a lot of art and stories, especially at a consistent pace, but I’m happy I was still able to reach my first milestone, I couldn’t have done it without all of you!! Y’all have I finally ascended as an artist?? I Finally hit a true milestone in my art, aka my fanart got popular enough to be reposted on Pinterest for the first time (AFAIK). I’m not mad lmao it’s just really amusing, I did such a double take at seeing my own art on my Pinterest home feed.

Anywho, I’d just like to say thank you to everyone for all the love on my fav Gorty drawing, I truly appreciate it and just a little update; He is in the process of being turned into keychains rn! I’m planning on opening an Etsy shop once I get a few more designs finished.

And since this has happened now, I might as well clarify my repost boundaries. I am okay with CREDITED reposts, I don’t mind them as long as you credit me or link to my original post!

I personally find reposts to be a good method of engagement/getting my art more reach and such, so I do not mind reposts overall! I appreciate them, Just credit me or ask beforehand! 🫶

Even my wife was not spared from this war that is devastating my entire family🧒🧒👩‍🦰👶. I was pregnant for 9🤰 months and unfortunately my daughter died at birth, due to poor nutrition😪🥺 and unhealthy living conditions for her and our baby.

We lack basic human needs, no food, no electricity, no water. We have been poisoned and infected🍞 by the unhealthy water🥛 we drink. During this period, she felt remorse at how difficult it was for a mother to see her children sick and unable to treat them because she is also very sick. I hope to provide us with support in order to cover the costs associated with ensuring our safe passage to Egypt across the border.
