Page 3. ---- Norman Oglestone Is Victim of Amazons Close to Perdue --- MANHANDLED AND ROBBED OF MONEY === 35-YEAR-OLD BACHELOR SO TERRIFIED HE FORGETS TO TAKE CAR NUMBER ==== Special to The Star-Phoenix TESSIER, Sask., July 10. - Still uneasy over his terrifying experience, Norman Oglestone, 35-year-old Tessier business man, at present manager of the Lakeview Hotel here, told the police this morning that he was held up by three unarmed young women near Perdue at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon and robbed of his money and some valuables. The trio, aged about 20, 22 and 28, and one of them mannish and ferocious in appearance, so impressed Oglestone that he did not stop to report the crime at Perdue.

LEAVE IN CAR Oglestone had been visiting Perdue and was on his return to Tessier when he met up with the amazons. Four miles east of Perdue the girls signalled to him to stop, ostensibly to inquire how far it was to Perdue. Immediately his Chevrolet coach drew to a stop one of the trio jumped in. All three became unduly familiar. One tugged at Oglestone's suspenders, a second attempted to pull off his shirt, and the third helped herself to his money, a few dollars. Just how much money was taken could not be ascertained this morning. The valuables included a pair of silver sleeve bands. Oglestone was permitted to retain the watch. When they were finished with Oglestone, the women entered a coach and drove away west. Their victim was so frightened that he forgot to take the license number of their car.

Oglestone is about 35 years of age and unmarried.

Can you do reader who puts others need infront of hers, espically with her brothers and her so called "family" (mountain bandits) so usually risking herself for her family (Ace wakes her head somtimes causing a bump on her head). for example, when luffy almost got eaten by a crocodile she litterly jumped into the water and pryed the crocodile mouth open.

You were always protective of them and your family.

Like any good older sibling should

You did everything for them.

With the money you got at Party’s, you spent it on them

When someone got into trouble, you took care of it

You took watch at night in case someone came to attack

After a while of putting everyone else first and protecting everyone, you became somewhat emotionless and stoic.

No one liked this because they missed the version of you  that would smile and enjoy life.

Out of all of the boys, you were closest with Ace because you two were both really protective 

Sometimes he’d take watch with you

Luffy was the one that made you most nervous (you’d never show it though)

He was dumb and reckless.  Enough said

I started watching Bluey and when I say I was absolutely fucking ENLIGHTENED.

Me: Bluey’s such a popular show and even my adult friends like it…but why?? Isn’t it just a show for preschoolers

"THREE WOMEN OF THE WEST." Ottawa Journal. July 12, 1933. Page 6. ---- Out in Saskatchewan, where men are men, they are giving new thought today to the status of women in the modern world.

One NORMAN OGLESTONE of Tessier stopped his automobile to answer the questions of three young women the news story calls them "ladies" but possibly there is a certain poetic exaggeration ion in the term. At any rate the three females jumped into the car, seized the driver's arms, took his cash and jewelry, went on their way rejoicing. We have an impression "ladies" don't do that sort of thing, even in such of the West as remains wild and woolly.

One gathers that Mr. OGLESTONE was so surprised he didn't resist these more or less fair bandits, or perhaps it was gallantry. However he told the police about it, and the story is going around. The rough and tough he- men of the plains must be considerably agitated over the incident. They have been taught to be polite to women, beljeve no evil concerning them, defer to them in everything - in a word, to look upon these gentle creatures as a relief from their own roughness and toughness. What now are they to think of it all, when they hear that Saskatchewan women, not content with giving men hard competition in law and agriculture, in most of the professions and trades, now have taken up highway robbery-a business sacred to the male sex since ROBIN HOOD galloped through the dim trails of Sherwood Forest.

Clearly something should be done about this. We are quite sure Mr. OGLESTONE's fondest illusions have crashed to earth, and over the length and breadth of the Prairies the word is spreading that the women, having taken from men their barber shops and smoking rooms, their golf courses and rifle butts, now are attacking them in one of the few remaining male sanctuaries. What's an honest highway-man to do if he must meet feminine competition even in the valorous exploits of that historic avocation!.
