I HAVE HAD AN IDEA.

What if I started a comic series where Sherlock and Watson never met until they were both dead?

Say they were buried next to each other, by coincidence, in a graveyard. And then they met for the very first time as ghosts. And then they go solve crimes together as ghosts.

I can just imagine them chilling by their graves until they hear a murder has taken place, and then spring into action. What if they had unfinished business to help dead clients get justice? Even better, what if there were rumours about them returning as ghosts/spirits, and people are deliberately looking for them, or trying to protect themselves from them, making it difficult to solve cases?

The world around them being overly superstitious would make it interesting I think. I can envision them dodging ghost traps and avoiding some sort of powder that would make them visible to the living eye if thrown at them, or even them occasionally messing with an infuriating criminal just for the funsies. God forbid if they leave all his cupboard doors open!

I hope no one else has had this idea and has already made a whole story out of it because I am actually INVESTED in this.

Man, it's cool and all if you see a metaphor for marginalisation in the monstrous, and if you want the power fantasy of 'what if you could just eat anybody who threatened you/pissed you off'. Me too.

However, as soon as you start saying 'no, these monsters are a 1:1 on Specific Marginalised Group, and you have to treat them in the fiction like they are directly representative of real human members of the marginalised group', BUT you also, in the fiction, make them hurt/kill/eat humans? And then try to shame me, your audience, for noticing or engaging with the bit where they kill people, because you made them directly representative of a real-world marginalised group? You have lost me, and also, I think, the plot.

ngl Matangi in Moana 2 was kinda gay. like just a little gay. i mean my girl is a "crazy cat bat lady", calls Moana "babe" twice in her song (the way i audibly gasped in the theater when i heard it lol), and is like sooooo queer coded i love it sm. she just gives off the vibes of sapphic-coded older woman who's played as suave and confident and makes the mc just go "haguphuk" and we all know if this was old disney they would've leaned so hard into that. but i could not have been the only one to keep catching Matangi poking her buttons, the hand on her chin in one scene, just being a total fucking vibe like please i know what you are. that whole scene felt real gay and don't think im leaving Moana out of this one. she is gay, i don't make the rules. i'm stickin with this hc no one can stop me from making Matangi the cool lesbian aunt and NO ONE will stop me from turning Moana gay (Auli'i Cravalho knows what she's doing)

ok im gonna be so real for a second i was simping HARD over Moana's character design in this movie.... like even more than baby me was dying during the first one... like this girl is just- oh my gosh. baby-gay me from 8 years ago would have actually DIED if she'd seen this Moana. it's almost embarrassing how down bad i was during that movie like she's so fucking pretty i wasn't ready for her design. like girls are just too much sometimes, i cant cope .

also side tangent but the lazy ass rewrite of Moana 2 from its planned version as a Disney+ series into a freaking MOVIE was just- so painfully obvious. like they didn't even try reworking it. the structure of the whole movie is painfully episodic and it was just so blatantly shoved into movie format without any care for the integrity of basic movie versus tv structure, so the char dev and pacing was just so rough. like what were the writers even thinkingggg. pretty disappointing but that's ok i have the fandom to make me feel better (moana fan art save me....)

I genuinely think the main issues with Nandor and Guillermo is that they have completely different types of love language. Nandor isn't a words guys. He's never gonna say "I love you" or "You matter" or anything like that. He's never gonna tell someone how he feels deep down because that's not how he is. He's an actions dude. He holds hands, he protects, he, he jokes, he gives gifts. He sees acts of service as these deep intimate moments. Likewise, words mean very little to him so it doesn't occur to him to say anything because why would he need to. Guillermo, on the other hand is someone who needs words of validation. He needs to hear things, say things. And I think a really nice theme that's been prevalent throughout is their coming to mutually understand one another. To where we're at a point where Nanador is realising that Guillermo NEEDS to hear him say it. He needs him to say "You're super cool. You're a warrior. Fate brought us together. Come home." And Guillermo is realising that grabbing Nandor's hand and looking into his eyes is more intimate for him than anything else. This isn't a slow burn. This is the story of two people realising they've ALWAYS loved one another and I personally think that's really fucking beautiful tbh
