I mean Hinny shipper, I couldn't let this day pass without doing something "special" for it 😉 Read on: AO3 Written for the Ginnyversary Bingo Challenge with the Prompt: #B13 — "As he flicked through the letters, a small, handwritten envelope caught his attention and his heart began to thump" A Poem in his Letters Gin felt winded, after four hours of Transfiguration, two hours of Defence against the Dark Arts, and two even more dreadful hours of Potions with Snape, he just wanted to lay down and not speak to anyone except the good book about 18th-century Quidditch he had gotten from the oldest of his six sisters, last Christmas.

He stumbled into his dorm room, lazily hurling his bag towards the side of his four-poster, before-, and with a loud thump, -he promptly fell into it, face first, relishing in the softness of his mattress.

It was Valentine's Day, yet he didn’t feel like going or looking for a date, no one of his year had caught his interest in the slightest, he and his best mate Lunar had gone over all the girls in their year, but Gin just wasn’t interested in any of them. Not with her around anyway.

He closed his eyes and saw the long jet-black hair, the emerald green orbs contrasting so beautifully with her pale milky skin…

No, he groaned to himself as he ruffled through his hair, she didn’t see him as anything but her best friend’s younger brother. He used to be so awkward around her when they were younger, doing things like accidentally putting his hand in the yogurt bowl.  He physically cringed as he remembered all the awkward moments between them.

Yet he couldn’t but notice that things between them had changed recently, it felt like she had been distancing herself from him a bit, excusing herself when he joined the trio-, his older sister Ronnie her best mate Hermion, and of course Herry, -in the library.

Gin had no idea why Herry started being so avoiding towards him, but with Umbridge at the school-, who seemed to target Herry especially, -he couldn’t blame her for being more on edge than usual, which meant something.

But enough with the pining after his sister’s best friend he thought, as he pulled himself onto his bum, now sitting on his bed he spotted the little pile of letters on his bedside table, eyeing them curiously.

He spotted his mum’s familiar handwriting on the top one, as he grabbed the whole stack, only skimming over the ones his family had sent him for now. Putting the one addressed by Frida and Georgina Weasley a bit further away, just for safety reasons. He would read them all in peace later.

 As he flicked through the letters, a small, handwritten envelope caught his attention and his heart began to thump. The paper was red and there were little black heart stickers on it. A love letter? It couldn’t be, no one would send the scrawny ginger boy with the many freckles a lover letter, it must be one of Frida and Georgina’s pranks he thought.

He gently brushed his fingers over the envelope before he turned it around and his heart started beating even faster. On it, it read: From H, to G His mind started racing and he went over all the names beginning with H that he knew, but only one of them kept popping up again and again.

Shakily he opened the neat-looking envelope, careful not the damage it in the process. He unpacked it and pulled out a tiny folded piece of parchment, it smelt like Broom Polish and Hyacinth, somehow feeling so familiar to him, yet he couldn’t pinpoint from where.

He put down the envelope, now tightly clutching the little folded letter in his hand.  Gin closed his eyes for a second before he opened it, slowly and carefully. He swallowed as he took in the neatly written lines on it. As he read them out loud.

Eyes so brown in that chocolatey frown, hidden behind a bright gingery crown, he is so funny and sweet, I blush when we meet, in his freckly gown, makes my heart skip a beat…

Gin felt his cheeks heat up rapidly, and his mouth felt dry as his world was slowly turning upside down. He shakily put the letter away, trying to not lose his balance as he only muttered one word- “-Herry…”

08/21/24: Another hot and humid summer fleamarket day! The morning got progressively more hot as I was searching, but I got the prizes at the end! First finds were all in that first pic for $19 bucks. I found some UK Harry Potter books with alternative cover art I've never seen before. A Halo game for Xbone and Motorstorm on ps3. Two Studio Ghibli movies, Asian Kung-fu flicks. Plus some blurays too. The next seller had some interesting toys. He had some kiddy easy Transformers from a few years ago and a decepticon jet. But what caught my retro eye was something that I've never seen before, but I could instantly tell by the mold that it was something special. It's called Jet Garry. And it's got a Japanese Bandai logo from 1983. So it's a Go-bot daddy! Sadly, despite me looking in the old box, I couldn't find a missing silver wing on the car. It must have fallen off decades ago. I then picked up a knockoff Ponmi plushie and a nice looking jigsaw puzzle. And I was surprised when the guy said $16 for everything. I got more discs again at the next sellers stall, a music cd, a DS game and three blurays all for $10 bucks. And I got some single tuff for a dollar each from different places. A ps2 game, two more blurays and two dvds. Despite the humidity and me pushing through it, its not a bad day!

Wait cackling about the Ib/HP crossover idea because you know if Garry got Harry out of the Dursleys he would take one look at the acceptance letter (after shrieking at the owl that had dropped the letter off of course) and just put his head in his hands.

He isn’t even surprised when Ib came running to their cramped little flat with her own letter (Garry fought the urge to frown that she had come across town all on her own at eleven. He knew she wouldn’t understand his concern. They were still working on the whole “Children Should Be Protected Not Ignored” thing.) If anything he was grateful. Neither of them would have taken the separation well. Hell they still won’t probably take the separation from him well but as long as there were no living paintings it should be fine right? Right?

He gets a frantic letter the morning after they left telling him that the paintings and statues are in fact alive and he has to fight the urge to run to Scotland to help them.

it’s Harry potters birthday today. it’s actually crazy bc i haven’t looked at any harry potter tag since 2019… it’s crazy how much i’ve missed. maybe i should join the fandom again??? idk

It used to be that when you turn on a garry's mod trolling video you'd get a peak into a fucked up esoteric power structure exclusively found in like Starwars Storm Trooper RP and watch the troll violate social norms you thought didn't even exist and the odd dynamic of the staff absolutely hating this guys fucking guts but knowing this is the most activity the server has ever had and maybe even knowing getting into a video would be free server advertisement so theyre in a low-stakes catch-22 situation where they can immediately ban a guy for naming his new harry potter oc Poopy Fartman or they can grit their teeth and see how much aimless dicking around they can stand before they activate the physgun + finger wag combo because he just called the guy paying you 100$ a month to use a virtual vape pen and an anime skin a "stupid cunt" nowadays its just "I disagree with the server rules so i am going to crash the server" there's no drama or comedy anymore its just watching some british dude glitch in his darkrp base for 20 minutes

at some point I wanna do one of those characters watching (or reading) fanfiction type things (you know, kinda like those Harry Potter fics where ethe characters read the books )

I kinda have a couple ideas. Like one will be more angsty and the other humorous. The funny one will probably take place during Chippewa. I just can’t figure out how I wanna do that one (and if you have any ideas, please tell me). I was thinking maybe it could be something like Garry and Becky have a special guest coming to the camp for a visit and of course Wednesday (and Pugsley and Joel) will do their best to ruin the visit 

Idk. I really wanna do a funny one but I just don’t know if I like the idea or not
