Genso Manege coming west for Switch, PC
From Gematsu
PQube will release MAGES.-developed otome visual novel Genso Manege, also known as Rever d’un Manege, for Switch and PC via Steam in the west, the publisher announced. A release date was not announced.
Genso Manege first launched for Switch on January 30, 2020 in Japan under MAGES.’ LOVE & ART brand, followed by iOS on October 9, 2020.

LeakWatch: Prototype versions of Sonic mobile games found after major iOS app database leak
Early development builds of Sonic Jump, Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing, and Sonic Dash have been found.
This is after the builds on a content delivery network for TestFlight, a previously independent beta-testing system for iOS, were released to the public.
Described at a similar scale to Nintendo's prototype "gigaleak" in 2020, the database containing terabytes worth of in-development and unreleased iOS apps.

As fans continue to dig through the database, the apps, dating from late 2012 to 2015, may give us a wealth of information on how popular Sonic mobile games like Dash took shape.

Alright people. Buckle up cus it's finally time i tell you the history of Animal Crossing!!!! (After putting it off for awhile)
Originally named どうぶつの森 (Doubutsu no mori) in Japan meaning Animal Forest. It was introduced at Spaceworld 2000 in Japan and many people have claimed there was a playable demo there. I believe there is a bit if footage you can find on it but I may be wrong.
Doubutsu no mori released on April 14, 2001 on the Nintendo 64 exclusively in Japan. Only 8 months later on December 14, 2001 they released Doubutsu no mori + for the Gamecube which contained extra features left out of the 64 version such as the museum and the Able sisters (along with house upgrades I believe) and used the Gamecube's built in clock.
Finally, they localised and released the game under the title Animal Crossing: Population Growing in North America on September 16, 2002, Australia on October 17, 2003, and Europe on September 24, 2004 on the Gamecube
However, on June 27, 2003 Japan release yet another version of the game titled Doubutsu no mori e+ where they added even more new features for villagers such as: extended dialogue, the best friend system, sickness, likes/hates, catching fleas, etc. In this version of the game you could use the e card reader to obtain certain items. In this version of the game you could also buy an island from Tom Nook which you could access through Kapp'n. Once you got to this island you could name it, create a flag, and download it onto your Gameboy Advance to continue interacting with your islander or even trade islands with other players.
Animal Crossing Wild World released for the Nintendo DS in Japan on November 23, 2005, North America and Australia on December 5, 2005, and in Europe sometime in March of 2006.
On June 1, 2006 a Chinese version of Doubutsu no mori called 动物森林 (Dòngwù Sēnlín) was released for the iQue Player, a Chinese Nintendo console. Dòngwù Sēnlín is the original N64 version of the game despite featuring characters from Doubutsu no mori + on the cover.
Animal Crossing City Folk was releases in North America November 16, 2008 for the Wii followed by its release in Japan on November 20, 2008, Australia on December 4, 2008, and Europe on December 5, 2008. City Folk was compatible with the Wii Speak microphone, which allowed you to talk to other players who had it- essentially a form of voice chat. Fun fact: there's an add for the game where it is featured being used!!! One feature i absolutely love in this game is the fountain , where you can throw an axe into it and a special character named Serena will appear and she is how you obtain both the silver and golden axe.
Now onto Animal Crossing New Leaf was released for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan and South Korea on February 7, 2013. After that, it released internationally across June of 2003: June 9 in North America, June 14 in Europe, and June 15 in Australia.
Animal Crossing Happy Home designer was released for the 3DS in Japan on July 30, 2015, North America on September 25, Europe on October 2, and Australia on October 3. This game was very different from the others and the main goal was to design houses for villagers.
In November of 2015 we were cursed with Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival for the Wii U. The game only sold 490,000 copies and was considering a failure.
Animal Crossing Pocket Camp was released on Android and iOS mobile devices on October 25, 2017 and 40 other territories on November 22, 2017- but other sources say it was the 21. Sadly, in the last year we received news that it will be shutting down, but apparently from what i know they will be making another version of it or something of the sort.
Animal Crossing New Horizons was released on March 20, 2020 internationally for the Nintendo Switch. This game introduced DIY crafting and in later updates, cooking. Eventually they added the Happy Home Paradise DLC on November 5, 2021 which essentially functions like Happy Home Designer, but unlocks new skill you can use on your island.
I must say, we've come a longggggg way with this game. It helped a lot of people through 2020- including me. Can't wait to see what's in store for us next. When did you start writing?
I remeber as a lil tentacle in human 3rd grade writing this meandering, long, just where was this boat going like 25+ page story for English class and just had a ball in making up the story. I didn't care that the story was a hot mess, I unknowingly realized I liked lore building. But, I realized that after I wrote it one, I went way over what the class wanted cause of my overachieving tentacle tendency and two, that I hated editing, grammar and all the boring English stuff. I didn't try to write a story again till many years later and realized the story itch had come back to me.
Are there different themes or genres you enjoy reading than what you write?
I actually, genuinely like slice-of-life and very inspirational/good vibes type of stories. But I simply like writing drama and assholes too much to write that sort of stuff often.
Is there a writer you want to emulate or get compared to often?
My writing style recently got compared to the book House of Leaves. I need to read this but considering the few pages I've seen, I'm honored and can see the comparison at points.
Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?
My big black desk with a standing desk attachment to force my tendriled self to get up, covered in paper that sometimes gets neatened only to get it ruined again due to time or my cat familar. Headset, dual monitors, pc w normal tentacle ergonomic peripherals, crystals, eldritch symbols covered in dark purple black ichor. Normal desk set up.
What's your most effective way to muster up a muse?
Do a ritual seance with burnt wormwood and channel into Nemesis' headspace. Find myself mentally projecting on the 56th astral plane with spoitify playing something dank and bizarre to mortal ears and chant ioioioioioio-
Are there any recurring themes in your writing? Do they surprise you?

What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?
Um, I can make up shit on the fly and not need drugs to do so, ig?
How do you feel about your own writing?
Eh, my pre 2010 stuff I think are lame but meaningful as my baby steps as one has to start from somewhere in this dimension?. I think I hit my stride in 2020 when I entered my erie sacrilegious era but so far, I'm pleased that my writing is passable and singularly me.
When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, or do you write purely for yourself, or a mix of both?
Pfft I've never given a damn about what is popular in the greater fandom or fleeting reading trends. Readers will get from me stories under my terms as I've had to fight tooth and nail to get to where I'm at and so, this tentacle writes for themself first and foremost and secondarily to entertain. I am a showtentacle at heart after all. I do enjoy when readers read, mind, but love it most when they take this betentacled offering from me and savor it, like really eat into it and see the wormy layers of plot and intricacy I've baked into there. Just envisioning them consuming, ingesting my work, feeling the trailing of my worms down their throat, into their belly to really get what I'm putting down is wonderful. Hoy, my minions! Pokémemories: Pokémon Masters
As Gen VII was coming to a close in 2019, an IOS app game called Pokémon Masters was released, and it's basically a Pokémon fan's wet dream. Characters from all across the franchise, every generation and every region, are gathered together on the artificial island of Pasio where a tournament to determine the strongest Pokémon Trainer is held by the island's creator and ruler, the arrogant Prince Lear. Every Trainer is able to form what's known as a Sync Pair with one of their Pokémon, using the power derived from their bond in battle: essentially taking the best of Gen VI's Mega Evolution and Gen VII's Z-Moves to create something that's, IMO, better than both. While the gameplay was clunky at first, a revision in the following year of 2020 (complete with a rebranding as Pokémon Masters EX) fixed this.
But really, the main draw is the story content. All these characters crossing over and interacting with one another is amazing enough, but the game's writers also manage to deepen the characters with storylines many fans had been wanting to see for ages. To this day, it's so satisfying to see what character or relationship is going to be developed next.

Sometimes I still can't comprehend I live in a world where Sonic has a film franchise. Hell, just doing good in general.
I'm not kidding it is so hard to comprehend cause when I was growing up Sonic was "big" but still super niche compared to mr Jumpman, early youtube the only people really talking about Sonic were people who already liked him and poked fun lovingly when they weren't making something just inspired by him.
Then the 2010's happened, all of a sudden youtuber's all collectively came together to the consensus that "Sonic was never good" or "you're all just nostalgia blind" while claiming anyone who considers themselves a Sonic fan to be hyper weird creeps.
Not helping was the flip flopping in quality, the disaster that was the launch of the Sonic Boom brand (The Wii U game especially), and the brand essentially doing it's best to please both a more casual audience. Truly dark times for fans.
Then THIS happened
THIS. This legit in retrospect feels like it could have killed Sonic. Some mid to bad games? He could live through that shit like it's nothing. The only people that affects are the people who play games. But a movie? Especially when they do the bad movie thing of changing the iconic look and removing anything likable about it? That feels like a death sentence. And there he was
With his fucked up lips and everything. And everyone trashed on it, not just fans, not just haters, everybody thought it was bad, sensationally bad.
It could have all been over right then and there, but they got themselves a second chance and locked in immediately.
And after that everything's just fallen into place. It's just been W after W after W. Even something like IOS game is considered to be a dub now.
And he's everywhere. Back in my day I would have to leave my small ass town and find the nearest form of moderately big mall or town that had Toy's R Us for some Sonic merch but these days you can just find it at damn Walmart. And he's getting shit like music tours.

Not to mention the fan content that's better than ever both because of the ease of access to better tech and the ever growing amount of inspired artist.

Really couldnt be a better time to be a sonic fan.
There's a moment where it really feels as if fate had to be on Sonic's side and it's that the first movie came out and managed to make enough of an impact financially right before shit went all the way south in 2020. Imagine if the pandemic just instantly destroyed its theater release and left the studio unable to see the success they had on their hands. It would have almost been Sonic's luck too but they made it. To be here right now in this time where Sonic has reached these newfound heights almost feels like it should have been impossible but maybe it was always meant to be.
Also, funny you bring up Toys "R" Us because I had to go to one outside of my city as well to get this Sonic game watch.
I loved the hell out of this thing.

Tim Sweeney, the CEO of Epic Games, had always worried that his company’s victory last year in a multimillion-dollar legal battle against Google’s app store monopoly wouldn’t be enough to open up competition. Even if Google could no longer keep alternative marketplaces out of Android, phone manufacturers could make them harder to access. In a US lawsuit filed in San Francisco today, that’s exactly what Epic alleges Google has conspired with Samsung to do.
Some newer Samsung phones have required settings changes to install apps from the web such as Epic’s app marketplace, according to Epic, which also develops Fortnite and Rocket Racing. The requirement became effective by default in July, and Epic launched its app store in August. Samsung claims the feature it calls Auto Blocker protects against “applications from unauthorized sources” and “malicious activity.” But it extends the installation process from 15 steps to 21, Epic alleges. The company says that it has found in the past that the greater the number of hurdles, the fewer people complete the process.
“It is not about reasonable measures to protect users against malware,” Sweeney told reporters in a briefing ahead of the lawsuit filing. “It's about obstruction of competition.”
“Contrary to Epic Game's assertions, Samsung actively fosters market competition, enhances consumer choice, and conducts its operations fairly,” said a Samsung spokesperson in a statement. “The features integrated into our devices are designed in accordance with Samsung’s core principles of security, privacy, and user control, and we remain fully committed to safeguarding users' personal data. Users have the choice to disable Auto Blocker at any time. We plan to vigorously contest Epic Game's baseless claims.”
Google didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on the lawsuit.
The litigation builds on an effort Epic launched in 2020 to deliver more choice to mobile users and boost its own bottom line. While downloading apps any which way from just about any source is generally easy on desktops and laptops, Apple and Google have used warnings and varying policy and technical curbs to keep users downloading from the iOS App Store and Google Play, which deliver enormous profits to the tech giants by virtue of sales commissions they collect.
Epic, through a lawsuit, won a minor concession from Apple that is still being fought over; penalties against Google are expected from a judge soon.
In the press conference, Sweeney acknowledged that Epic doesn’t have clear evidence that Google and Samsung collaborated to roll out Auto Blocker. But emails and notes presented by Epic during its jury trial against Google last year showed how the search company regularly engaged in discussions with Samsung aimed at limiting competition. Google denied those accusations.
Early this month, Sweeney reached out to two senior Samsung executives to ask them to rethink the approach with Auto Blocker and allow for a smoother process to download legitimate software. Sweeney said a resolution couldn’t be reached that benefitted all developers, prompting the lawsuit. “We are going to continue to fight until there is a level playing field,” he says. He added that it “sucks” to sue Samsung, which has promoted Epic’s offerings in the past.
Epic has notched over 10 million installations of its mobile app store, short of a goal to reach 100 million by the end of the year, Sweeney says. He believes Auto Blocker and other new impediments, as he views them, have hurt Epic’s ability to gain traction. And his focus on fighting Apple and Google is costing Epic significant sums, with no end in sight to the litigation. “The benefits only come in the future, when the obstructions have truly been eliminated,” he says.
