Uzi meets Cyn in some robo-soul shenanigans idk.

Uzi is hobbling through an endless void where she finds Cyn hunched over on the floor. It sounds like she's crying. Uzi would be on guard but something was telling her that this wasn't the trap she'd assume it to be. She takes a deep breath and approaches her, eventually her disposition softens realizing what she's really seeing. Uzi kneels down in front of Cyn and takes the little drones hands in her own. They lock eyes and it's made clear: This is just a worker who's trapped in her own body. Alone, afraid, and powerless to stop the Solver who's used her body and likeness to do terrible things. Uzi understands what feeling alone and powerless is like, she understands what Cyn is going through. She gently pulls Cyn into a hug and holds her tight. Cyn slowly returns the hug, her whimpering growing quiet. Uzi slowly shuts her eyes in the warmth of Cyns hug.

Then Uzi wakes. She's in Ns arms and everything hurts. N smiles at the sight of her growing conscious she smiles back.

Whether that tender encounter was real real or not is up in the air but she knows an unspoken message was exchanged between Cyn and Uzi: "Everything's gonna be okay."

I imagine a situation like this stems from Cooper’s attraction to you. 

Barb hasn’t really ever considered bringing a third party into their marriage, because for the most part they’re happy. 

If this is before Vault-tec, you’re a little happy go lucky PA working on one of Cooper’s sets. 

He likes how inexperienced you are in the industry and in life in general. His wife is one competent, confident woman, and he loves that about her. But Fallout is set in an era similar to the fifties, he wants to feel needed, to feel like a real man. 

You provide that for him. You are someone he can guide and mold. You’re enamored by him, practically worship him because he is the Cooper Howard. 

Barb sees this, sees the way her husband watches you like you’re something precious and vice versa the way you follow his every word like gospel. She rolls her eyes at it at first. This is the way of men, distracted whenever a pretty young thing like you comes around. But then he starts inviting you over to the house and she gets to know you. 

You really are sweet. You think the both of them are so amazing. You gush about how incredible both of their successful careers are and she loves the little ego boost. 

To avoid any friction in their marriage she softens up around you and lets you over to the house more often. But eventually it changes from just reluctantly letting Cooper invite you over to spending one on one time with you. 

You stop becoming a chore for her and become just as much of a treat as you are for her husband. 

I don’t think they ever have a real conversation about your role in their relationship. 

They’ve been married for so long that they don’t need words to understand each other. You’re simply a part of their life now, something that belongs to them both. 

For Cooper you provide the much needed feeling of having someone to take care of and guide. 

For Barb you’re someone she can relax around. She doesn’t need to prove herself or her worth to you, you just innately understand her.

If this is during the tumultuous Vault-Tec period of their relationship, I think this dynamic would be more sexual in nature. 

Barb needs Cooper under control. She can’t risk losing her husband during the nuclear fallout but her leash has been slipping and he’s getting suspicious.

You’re not truly aware of how evil the company you work for is. You’d taken the job to prove yourself. You’re not some naive idiot that just follows others blindly.

Under normal circumstances their sex is pretty vanilla as they haven’t really been clicking like they used to. Cooper’s normally in control. 

And that remains true for you, the both of them guide you and use your lack of experience against you to get you to obey.

god. I'm thinking of one-sided shockbee again

Love the idea of Shockwave being the one crushing on Bee first, maybe that little crush starts on boot camp. Bumblebee is always around him, trying to seem cool and great at everything, Shockwave thinks it's annoying at first, he can't wait for this mission to end and offline this annoying thing.

But then he gets used to Bumblebee. He actually listens and pays attention to every word that comes out of Bee's mouth, the minibot's grown into him, and he hates it. Bumblebee's annoying, immature, and a loudmouth, traits a bot who's trying to be part of Intel (and also hiding the fact they're a Decepticon) shouldn't find endearing. And yet, he has found himself more than once looking at Bumblebee and listening.

Bumblebee doesn't help the situation at all, he's making it worse. He'd go around holding Longarm's hand to drag him somewhere, or get too close during a simulation while trying to get cover and it makes Shockwave a mess, Bumblebee doesn't even try to keep his EM field to himself, it crashes into Shockwave's own when he gets close.

Toleration becomes something else, it starts making Shockwave go slowly insane about it, he's spending time with Bumblebee after he becomes head of Intel, buys gifts for him or other stuff Bumblebee has shown interest in. Bumblebee's probably aware of more than friendly feelings going on by now, but god they're probably both so stupid about it, no one confesses. ever.

Shockwave is infatuated with the minibot, he can't deny it, Bumblebee continues to plague his thoughts like a virus, he wants to crush him and put an end to all, he wants to hold him tight, wants to feel their spark fields interlace and beat like one, he wants to rip his spark out, it's a mess, and he dug himself deeper into it by indulging his feelings.

not over it actually . that sol is a clone and what his response to that says about him as a character.

like okay. traditional clone angst shit is like "oh am i real/im not the original/im just a fake copy of someone else/etc etc etc" . and that route of a character arc might have even made sense w sols whole launchpad history - that he self-identifies as a sidekick. but also. maybe that rejection of being the main character is what allows sol to take a different route entirely. swag isnt just his prime clone, hes his "daddyself". sol doesnt really care about being the prime version of himself, he just wants family.

im so deeply fascinated by how the concept of clone-dom intersects w the concepts of family. what is a son but a version of you fated to go through all the same patterns of experience you have. what is a brother but a version of you whose choices has led him to a place you could never go. what is family if not enveloped in fear, love, idolisation and rejection. what is family if not a piece of your heart fragile and vulnerable and walking away from you.

anyway. so like. just compare how mothership sees clones (expendable identical bodies) vs how sol sees clones (brad & bron, youll always be a part of me you are me)

like. does that drive anyone else crazy.

and the original point of this post has completely flown away from me but in a feeble attempt to bring it back. my interpretation of sol is like. sol doesnt want to be a hero, he wants a purpose to fight for. he wants people to fight for. he wants to be part of this thing *bigger than he is* to dedicate himself to. and that used to be the mothership corporation, and has now taken the form of his friends and family. its only natural he would have adapted the spore network, as someone so clearly driven by his connections to other people. it makes so much sense he would see his clone identity this way because ultimately he sees himself in terms of his relationships to other people

(and if you want to be insane like i am, then you can think about sol as a child abandoned and alone in a derelict waterpark, so desperate for any kind of connection that it comes to form a defining character motivation for the rest of his life) 👍

Okay but the emphasis on Ada being axed in the abdomen specifically?

My current headcanon fer her death is that Ada was a maid who had an affair with a rich man she worked fer and fell horrendously in love with this man who likely just saw her as a pretty toy to enjoy on the side. At one point, Richboy tries to break if off with her, and Ada persists because she so wholly believes what they have is real and special meanwhile Richboy is just tryna get rid of her before this scandal gets out to the public.

Ada follows her ‘lover’ into the woods where he she knows he likes to chop wood to destress, and when she finds him she starts begging him to take her back because they’re oh so in love you can’t you see? He tries to push her away, but Ada screams out, “You, you can’t leave me!”

“Ada, for the last time, leave me alone-“

“I’M WITH CHILD! IT’S YOURS!”

A stray wind rustles fallen foliage in the distance, the silence that has befallen the pair so heavy that the man could faintly count each individual leaf. Even as he stands stunned and speechless outwardly, from within a thunderous hammering of his heart begins to stir.

“… what?”

“I am going to bear your child! Please, can’t you see? You can’t leave me now!”

Shaking his head, the drumbeat man’s heart continues to bang against his eardrums louder and louder. It’s as if the bloodied thing was trying to break out of his ribcage and run away shrieking.

“No, n-no it can not be.”

“It can, it can,” wide green eyes stare up at him with a frenzied gleam, the maid’s broad smile stretching across her features like a slash, “It’s yours, you know I would never touch another.”

Ada steps forward, clinging onto the arm of her one and only. The man tries to take a step back and dodge her hands, but it’s already too late, the maid’s fingers frantically dig deep into the flesh of his arm and pull him close.

“Ada- Ada st-stop, stop touching me-“

“This is fate!” She crows desperately, completely ignoring his plea, her grip tightening on the man who gave her light.

“A-Ada! Let go!”

“No, I can’t! This child is a sign of our lov- AAAARRGHHHHH!”

Her backside slams onto the forest floor beneath her, but the bruises that shall surely form on her back holds not even a candlelight to the wretched, searing pain races from her stomach. Ada’s shaky hands reach up and-

Above her, the love of her life breathes unevenly, the axe clutched in his fist stained with a cruel, cruel crimson.

The immense pain rushing from her stomach is nearly enough to rob her of words completely, yet even this physical anguish can not hold back the aching in her betrayed soul.

“B-but,” she barely chokes out, hot tears streaming from her eyes, “But why?”

“Because you gave me no choice.”

Pov Ada is crumpled on the forest floor bleeding out and STILL girly doesn’t even try to get up and call for help.

The man above her runs his free hand through his hair, disbelief and desperation laced in his every movement. His voice, once so strong and sure, now tremors as the realization of what he has done settles deep into the marrow of his bones.

“Do you understand now, you worthless fool? Do you understand?”

Ada can only shake her head. Even now, even here where she is very nearly nothing but a corpse to feed the maggots that reside in the dirt beneath her, Ada refuses to believe that this man she has devoted her whole being truly doesn’t feel the same.

“You, you didn’t mean to,” the man bellows in frustration, but Ada continues to push on with a watery smile, “It was just a mistake, I-I made you mad, and you acted out. It’s- it’s alright, I forgive you. I, I still love y-“

“NO!”

Pov when Richboy realizes that nothing he’ll do or say can make Ada stay away from him he ends up chopping her to pieces and hiding her body in the swamp where other animals have long since become carcasses, her shrieks of agony a quick yet haunting melody that echoes against the silent trees forced to witness such a brutal end to life.

Andddd THAT’S how I headcanon why Ada’s spectre form is a screaming banshee with cut up limbs stained in dirt and decorated in forest animal skeletons :DD

a female character isn't allowed to be a character that is also female. she isn't allowed her own agency and complex motives nor any deeper emotions without it being centered around the male cast around her or a child. even if she's not a mother, she remains one because she could always potentially become a mother or she is the ‘mom character’ to the men/children around her and her actions MUST reflect that. if they don't, she's labeled a selfish bitch. if she is an (actual) mother than that's all she is—she isnt allowed deeper characterization or discussion because thats all she'll ever be, that's all she was made to be. male characters are allowed to be fathers (lireral or in the sense of providing for the people around them) with deeper feelings but a mother? never a mother.

I can't get over every little thing spencer reid does. like his little mannerisms are EVERYTHING TO ME. The way he talks with his hands, how he presses his middle finger to his thumb and rubs them together sometimes or moves it as if he's writing when talking, the way he scrunches his face up sometimes, the way he wrings his hands at all really like just playing with the fingers of his other hand or sometimes I've seen him just press his knuckles together and rub them together, the thin lipped pressed together smile he does as he awkwardly waves to new people he's being introduced to, when his hair is a long enough length and he tucks it behind his ears all the time. OKAY and while I'm upset about Izzy dying especially after all he's been through and grown this season, the scene where Ed is listening to him while he holds Izzy is so beautiful

The fact that we got a scene talking about how Ed can't be quiet, but he stays quiet for the most part when Izzy is talking to him, Izzy taking acountability for "egging blackbead on", which I think when he said "I needed him--Blackbeard, it was us" he means HE needed blackbeard to feel value in himself, because soft equaled weak to him. ALSO "Ed, you're surrounded by family. They love you, Ed.... just be Ed" AND WHEN ED STARTED SOBBING "There he is.." IT FUCKING KILLED ME, I WAS CRYING BEFORE BUT I STARTED SOBBING. I want to kiss Con o Neill for that delivery. I just wish Izzy got to tell the crew that they were also HIS family, and that he really, truly loved them--we only got a scene where he admited to it when not talking to them and I think that's sick, actually.

also I really think there should have been a scene with Lucius and the wooden shark Izzy whittled for him, but okay :( and on the topic of Lucius, him and Pete deserved a longer scene.. This whole episode should have been longer

I do think after all Izzy went through, all his years of chasing someone who would never love him back, he deserved to thrive amongst comfort, family and love with his crew. I know not everyone gets a happy ending but.. Idk, he needed more than that.

And, well... Izzy staying with them for forever THAT way was not what I wanted when I said I wanted Steddyhands in the finale but.. I'll take it, I guess.

hello trans people on my phone. here’s a new one. someone help me form a question for my essay? it is due next week 3000 words and i have not even formed a question </3 it can be on anything, just has to be a question and tangentially in some way related to work (and . easy to research) i have a lot of research on medical cisgenderism and implicit transphobia, trans rage, and emotional labour. unsure where to go from here tho. the main idea rotating around my mind is looking at how cis people project their sex obsession onto the trans community but idk where to go from there hugely :/ any suggestions or jumping points for research are very much welcomed !!
