I saw a comment on a post that made me a little angry. I decided to just block that person, but I need to vent about how it's transphobic.

For context, this commenter was complaining about the poc, intersex, and trans inclusive lgbtq+ flag used in the post.

Yeah. You know why you're seen as a villain? Because being uncomfortable around trans people is fucking transphobic. "Trans people make me uncomfortable!" Well, boo fucking hoo. I'm so sorry the evil transgenders existing where you can see them makes you uncomfortable /s

We did not ask to be born the way we are. We are trying to be comfortable in the bodies we were born in. We are trying to live our lives in peace. If you are uncomfortable around an entire minority group, I need you to take a good long look in the mirror and ask yourself why that is. Why does the existence of a minority make you uncomfortable? It sounds to me like you are transphobic, and you need to work on that.

It is racist to say black people make you uncomfortable. It is homophobic to say gay people make you uncomfortable. And it is transphobic to say trans people make you uncomfortable.

"If I voice my concern, suddenly I'm the villain." So you're saying that seeing a trans inclusive lgbtq+ flag makes you uncomfortable, so you say, "Hey, trans people make me uncomfortable. Can we just use the standard rainbow flag?" So, you're trying to persuade people into not using a pride flag, not because of any valid concern, but because you hate the fact that it is explicitly including a part of the community.

My response? Yup, you guessed it! That's transphobia! You are being transphobic. And being a bigot is a surefire way of being seen as a villain, especially in the eyes of those you are bigoted toward.

Address your biases and stop whining about how your transphobia gets you labeled as a villain. You are capable of not being transphobic. Trans people aren't capable of not being trans. We can't change how we are. You can either learn to accept our existence, or you can stay the fuck away. We are an integral part of the lgbtq+ community, whether you like it or not.

why does the ffxiv modding community have such a weird problem with fetishizing trans bodies... it feels like no matter where you go or what you try to find there's always going to be a trans body mod that uses slurs (kniku's bottom mod naming the penis toggles "futa", mars being described as "for twinks, twunks, femboys", etc) (i don't think kniku should even be considered a trans body mod- it's clear why there's a penis toggle in the first place). and, like, these are good mods; kniku is a good alternative to YAB's focus on the buff dommy mommy body with big boobs (not to mention one of the leg options being literally called "skullcrushers" ?!), and mars is genuinely a really cool trans-focused mod that accurately portrays one flavor of trans bodies. i use them on my characters! because i like them! but there's something about the way they're made and marketed that stinks so bad.

you can make an argument that ffxiv's modding community just has a problem in general with fetishizing even cis bodies (i don't like the way bibo+ is built and how it focuses entirely on the size of the female model's tits and ass. it provides a useful framework for asymmetrical textures and messings around with how your character looks- god knows i've abused it- but it's hard to ignore how its primary function is to make your character sexy and naked, and i hate YAB on principle because it's just an extension of this, even if it's to a more extreme extent), and you could say a reason why these other mods are like this is because of the way the modding scene specifically is so focused on sex and this fetishized fantastical version of it, not to mention that ffxiv is still an anime game with anime fans as its primary fanbase. but i still don't like it.

When you start to understand that Lou never really stood a chance in this fandom, the things said and done on here about him sorta begin to hold less and less weight. The narratives just don’t stick the way these people want them to.

Ryan Guzman has publicly and proudly admitted to using slurs against black people and other people of color. This was during an ig live where he was defending his wife, who also used the N word, and told black people they had no right to be upset about it. His apology was surprisingly just as thoughtless and insulting as the confession. Both still searchable online. He also called a black woman ghetto in the comments of her ig live. He even shared anti vax conspiracies from accounts that post nonstop antisemitism, transphobia, and weird right wing rhetoric on insta. His brother even recently openly admitted that his entire family voted trump.

Oliver has deleted tweets calling women sluts on Halloween that you can still search up online.

Callum blue is a proud right wing trump supporter who followed a crap ton of republicans before mass unfollowing them when he was called out a few weeks ago. The entire cast still adores him. Adores him enough to practically throw him a send off parade on social media recently.

i very much don’t think that men are non-oppressed? i know that men are oppressed by the patriarchy, in ways that are subtle and often overlooked. men as a whole are oppressed on a societal scale, because the patriarchy oppresses all that are in it. men who are in some way marginalized— queer, non-white, neurodivergent, physically disabled, etc— will have to face this oppression in tandem with the other identity (or identities) for which they are marginalized. this is a fact, and not one i have ever tried to deny?

I found this on Reddit, and all the comments were totally onboard with it because Reddit is hell, actually.

It just bothers me so much cuz like, why do we assume “e-girls and blue haired people” can’t also have autism/adhd/ocd/etc ? I’ve certainly met people who would fall into these categories and have disabilities. In fact I don’t even think they’re particularly rare??? There’s a real undercurrent of misogyny and arguably transphobia in the framing of “e girls and blue hair people” as being vapid, shallow people who blindly follow trends without consideration for those it affects.

There’s also the implication that the only real, valid disabled people are those who are professionally diagnosed and constantly miserable. There’s no consideration for those who are, for any number of reasons, unwilling or unable to get diagnosed. Nor is there any acknowledgement that people with disabilities may sometimes want to joke or poke fun about aspects of their own condition.

There’s just a lot going on in this post and I don’t like any of it. Rant over

Remembering VikkiPNKcaptions (aka PrincessVikkiPNK)

Between the first half of 2022 until May 2024, there was a caption blog named VikkiPNKcaptions and it went on to become one of the most influential feminization caption blogs of the new generation. From starting as just another sissy blog, she had a change of heart and reverted to identifying as a femme blog. She went on to amass over 17,000 followers, though the amount of people who loved and shared her posts through reblogs and unofficial reposts were significantly higher.

Then, somewhere in the middle of this month, her main blog was gone! Meanwhile, her other account is also missing content. I am not sure what happened, but I am pretty sure it was deleted by Tumblr. For what reason why it was deleted remains a mystery. I wanted to bring awareness or find an answer or two because it seems that the only one that brought it up was ggs-trans-inspo, another amazing caption creator from the same time period. I only found out about it just two days ago after I got my computer fixed and was thrown off as to why I was missing one account from my “Following” list. I still find it unbelievable she’s gone. I’m not sure if she’s coming back or if she will be taking a hiatus, but for now, let’s keep her legacy alive by sharing her captions and thanking her for the amazing support and influence she has played on changing feminization captions for the new generation.

P.S. Seriously, Tumblr? First, you delete trans blogs like Alltr, flag affirming posts, and censor blogs as NSFW, even though there’s hardly any NSFW content. Then, you play it off like there’s no problem going on and later proceed to make a post acknowledging and denouncing anti-LGBTQ sentiment without doing any action. Now, you decide to take down trans artwork from Paxiti and caption blogs like VikkiPNK because you still haven’t took action on investigating the obvious transphobia going on in your HQ.
