When President Joe Biden was asked if there’s any more resources that the federal government could be providing hurricane victims, he said:

“No. We’ve given them … a significant amount even though they didn’t — hadn’t — asked for it.”

This is fucking bullshit. People are homeless. People are dying. The government doesn’t care about Appalachia. It never has and never will unless we make enough noise. They gave Israel $8.7 billion while saying hurricane victims have enough money that we didn’t even ask for even though we’ve been BEGGING for help. They need to STOP funneling money into the Israeli death regime while their own countrymen fucking suffer and die under the boot of capitalism!!!!!! This country is fucked!!! They value Israel’s continued destruction of Palestine over their own people!!!!!!!!!!!! The lives of murders will always be more valuable to other murderers than innocent lives, no matter the country. Free Palestine, support Appalachia. Fuck the United States government.

Coming back after being almost a week without electricity, phone, and internet connection. Huge storms with lightning and rain, and winds. We have never have winds like that here and the roof of so many houses were ripped off, stuff flying, etc. All this bc global warming, and the deforestation and mining in our lands. At this rate, in 5 years we will have tornadoes, a thing we have never ever have here. Nor our lands, infrastructures, states, and culture are prepared for this. Areas of the country are devastated, ppl have died, many are without electricity nor Internet connection so they are isolated. The houses are flooding with water, and the ones that not, are leaking from the ceiling. Too many neighbours and compatriots don't have roofs and the streets are full of fallen trees and pieces of roof material, no electricity, no signal, food rotting, but suffering at the same time for the cold of this terrible winter, and trying to do something, patching even when its gonna go to hell when the storm comes again this next days. More than 33,200 people affected and 41,500 isolated due to 5 days of rain and windstorms. In just a couple of days there were 170,000 homes left without power due to wind and rainstorms and even more as time went by.

Edit: the weather is better (is finally spring at this current date 24th nov), but I still need to fix were I live/sleep bc the walls are broken and one of the walls is not a wall, but like 1cm wide stuff and all was bad build so even the door is twisted and dont work correctly, there is black mold that i think is damaging my ears, the paint is falling, the lamp has fallen, everything is broken and ugly, etc. I still need to buy food, meds, and everything so please, please, share or donate if you could. I don't want to survive like this and here, no one mask even when they were the ones giving me covid and they have making me also catch flu the other day bc they cogh over everything and don't care if they kill me, they are abusive and really violent people and are working to put me and everyone in danger. Let me make it real simple for y’all, since we’ve got some fence-sitters on here:

You vote for Trump -> Trump wins

You don’t vote at all -> Trump still wins

You vote Harris -> we have a chance to prevent another Trump presidency

Choosing not to vote isn’t a neutral position. You don’t have to, and in fact shouldn’t, love Harris. She will have some terrible policies, and we will fight them when we get to that point.

But we have to air on the side of harm reduction. Whatever damage Harris would do in office, Trump would do unfathomably worse.

A vote is not an endorsement; it’s a strategic move to mitigate something worse from happening. This isn’t about wanting Harris to be president; it’s about preventing Trump from becoming president again.

Trump and Harris are unfortunately pretty evenly matched atm, so we need as many people as possible to vote Harris in order to keep him out of office. I don’t think any of us can truly imagine how catastrophic another Trump administration would be, especially for LGBTQ+ folk, people of color, immigrants, and any other oppressed group.

Update on the Situation of LGBTQ Refugees in the Rainy Season🙏🏳️‍🌈

Hello everyone,

I want to take a moment to give you a quick update on what’s happening with our LGBTQ refugee community. Right now, we’re in the middle of the rainy season, and it’s been raining for almost seven hours each day. These heavy rains are causing devastating floods that not only seep into our temporary homes but often dismantle them entirely.

As you can see from the pictures , the rain gets everywhere soaking every belonging we have and sometimes sweeping them away altogether. The situation is incredibly dire, and with nowhere to turn, it feels like an endless battle just to stay dry and safe.

These conditions have made it even easier for diseases like malaria, cholera, and typhoid to spread. We desperately need stronger, more reliable tents to provide shelter. Each tent can accommodate at least 15 people and costs around $350 to $400.

We are pleading with well-wishers and the global LGBTQ community to stand with us during this incredibly difficult time. Your support could make a world of difference in protecting our lives and giving us the dignity of a safe space to weather this storm.

My State of Brazil is becoming almost all water, the floods don't stop entering houses, buildings, and causing deaths... Unfortunately, as I'm underage, I can't do a crowdfunding or anything like that to ask for help here, but I still want to ask for good luck, a prayer, so that everything will be fine soon.. This is the biggest flood in Rio Grande do Sul in history, so.. The situation is really complicated and needs support...
