Realized that making the fitblr a sideblog instead of an independent second main was probably not the cleverest idea, then again we all know I definitely don't go that extra mile it takes to manage two main blogs with always logging off and in. So... Sorry fitblrs, you gotta live with interaction/follow/like coming from my chaotic nerd main.

Folks, I made a fitblr sideblog, called poh-fitblr (aren’t I creative? xD). I’ll use it for some accountability stuff for myself, and made it a side blog so I won’t bother those of you who don’t wanna see that. But if you wanna give it a follow and an occasional cheer to help me get my ass over to the gym, that is much appreciated. :D (Also, if you need someone to cheer YOUR ass over to the gym/ a walk/ whatever you’re working on improving, do hit me up, I’m great at cheering at people!)

Day 5 of 5 day workout week:
It’s Friday! 🙌🏽 I am hella tired! But, also in a very good mood! It’s the last workout of the week for me and I am SO ready for some rest and recovery. Perhaps even a date night! 🥰 I definitely feel like I deserve it! As I am winding down my duo 30-challenges, I’m feeling a difference in my strength and in my clothes! I am so very encouraged to keep it going! I’m adding a much needed sleep challenge for myself in October. I’m also keeping an eye open for cardio and lower body challenges I may see in the Fitblr! I’m always striving for balance. 😌
-Today’s workout(s) started earlier than planned as I was again accosted by my boxer-beagle, who decided he needed an impromptu training session. For a while, I was walking him everyday! But, my allergies have been an issue, lately. Today, allergies be damn, he got a jog in! Well, more of a sniff, jog, inspect, pull, walk…but it was a good warmup all the same! 🐾
-Now, Mom’s turn! I went back to my circuit today! It really does work everything. Again my intervals are one round lower body, followed by upper body, followed by cardio. Then repeat. I used dumbbells, resistance bands, weight bench, ankle weights (pictured above) and a step platform (for elevated lunges).
Total calorie burn = 427 kcals 🐶
Bonus: I did a burpee round w/squat jumps for 16! And a pushups round for 35! Progress! And less soreness in my upper body today. Day 27👉🏽🗑️

A bit about me
Hey, i'm Jon. I've been on tumblr for far too long but can't seem to stay away ha!
Took a break for a few weeks but back now! This blog used to be my fitblr / wellbeing-focused blog and over the years I lost my way but I'm working on correcting that now! This blog is focused on well-being, and mental health and creating a space to share my journey and struggles with it. Bare with me while I get my headspace on track and aim is to be back in the gym, eating right, working on my mental health and getting back to what the core of this blog was about, bettering myself

I've set up a separate blog @analogue-dreamer for the other stuff like romance posts, movie/tv gifs, music, creativity etc, Go follow that for other content.
Plus will be sharing my art under that blog. Anyone who's followed me for a while will know my passion is my art. My artist name is Drawstax and have sold my prints worldwide via Etsy. My art is centred around tattoo themes and heavily influenced by traditional and new traditional tattoos. My Etsy shop is currently closed (not by choice) but will be back eventually.

Fitblrs Activate!
Now that I got your attention, is anyone out there?
The more and more I share about my life on my podcast, the more I come to realize im not doing it anymore on here. I have so many memories of this place from my first shit post to my first introduction into the fitblr world and to my first live stream... I can confidently say that its because of tumblr that im more confident in putting my face out there from now on.
But where do we go from here? Im not deactivating. Too many memories for me. I've posted all my episodes on here and I feel like its all I do now.
That is until I went to go check my A1C which came back to a 6.7.
I noticed I lost a lot of weight (down 225 lbs in an unhealthy way) So the doctor upped my meds and told me I needed to start lifting weights or go walking but keep checking the sugars.
So its back to how my life was like in 2021 when I got the diabetes. I know my sugars are not going to go back down to the 100s over night but im trying. Back to eating healthier food and limiting myself from drinking anything thats not water to once a week.
And after not using it for 10 years, I reactivated my Zombies, Run! account which now has a Marvel version of the game.
This place looks like a ghost town these days. I checked my follow list and some OGs haven't updated for months, a few for a year. So if you happened to come across this post and are still around, let me know. I know I only post the episodes of the podcast but thats because I've shared my life from good or bad on here since I started and I figured I could continue to do that with the pod. And now that I have some news about my diabetes and my A1C I might continue to share those updates as well.
Maybe im the one thats "crawling out of the rubble" and there are still other fitblrs around and if so, im slowly making my way back to this place.

March 14, 2023
I didn't get out of bed until 2 p.m. but I sure turned the day around. I was able to shower, and then, instead of getting back in bed, I came downstairs and read on the living room couch until Lace was done with work. Then I helped her with dinner and went to get Billy. He worked 12 hours today.
After dinner and cleaning up I did the following for this week's Fitblr Games challenge:
Cardio: 30 minutes on the elliptical
Sumo squats: 40
Wall sits: 3 minutes
Crossbody mountain climbers: 70
Front kicks: 40
I feel a lot better. Hopefully I kicked this episode of depression in the ass!

On my mind: Feeling worried that my going back to posting fitblr content is going to trigger my followers; worried that I lost a couple mutuals who are going through it(TM) right now, and not being sure how to actually help them; general anxiety; excitement over making new friends and reconnecting with old ones; and generally just being my usual anxiety riddled cucumbery self.
Lmao @ cucumbery. I don’t know what it means or but I find that description hilarious for some reason. Anxiety’s a lil brat tho.
Remember that somebody else’s triggers aren’t your sole responsibility. I’ve had to unfollow people I genuinely adore because of triggering content when I couldn’t manage, and it sucks, but that’s just what life is like sometimes. I didn’t block them- they could still send messages or comment and talk and engage, I just couldn’t handle seeing all of the body checking, for example. I’m not saying to say fuck it and post without any thought for others, but if you tag your stuff appropriately, then it’s on them to use tags to filter content they don’t like. I have a permanent filter on the thinspo tag so if a post has been tagged as thinspo, even if it’s not the person reblogging it to my dashboard, tumblr filters it and tells me it’s marked thinspo. Fitblr or fitspo is harder because a lot of fitblrs ARENT triggering but sometimes triggering content wiggles in and I just like… cope? Tbh tho I actually unfollowed two people recently because their content was just getting to be too triggering for me to spend mental energy coping with it. Like I COULD but I also gotta save some of that for other things in my life.
I’m word vomiting but I think what I’m trying to say is: it’s great to be mindful about what might trigger followers, but you don’t need to avoid being you and posting content YOU like out of fear of triggering somebody else- just tag it appropriately and let people decide how they want to engage with it. Maybe make a post saying what you’ll be posting, tags you’ll be using, and then let each person decide. Beyond that, though, each individual is responsible for their own triggers, whether that’s avoidance or coping or some combination.
It’s hard to know how to help people who are struggling, especially so when it’s online and you can’t really DO (like, for IRL friends I can help cook or clean or whatever, can’t do that with tumblr friends). Perhaps the best thing is to just be there if they decide they need an ear. If they have anons turned on, send a thinking of you / hoping you have a good day message or even a random anon compliment. Something about anon love is just so warm and fuzzy. One of my favorite old tumblr pastimes is sending anon love to anybody who seemed to be having a hard time (I still do sometimes). It’s hard to sit and feel like you’re doing nothing practical tho. I hope they find peace soon.

What does sw, cw, gw mean?
Start weight, current weight, goal weight. Some people put in their bios as motivation/accountability. Back in the early days of fitblrs you would follow people who are the same height or same sw as you for extra motivation. Glad it's not like that anymore and tbh I should probably go ahead and remove those from my bio. It's about health now, not the scale :)

I’ve had multiple new followers to this blog and I thought I would reintroduce myself. 😄💜
My name is Carri and I made this blog way back in 2014. The main reason I kept it all this time is it feels like a time capsule of my journey to a healthier lifestyle. Back then I wanted to lose weight and gain muscle, but nowadays I just want to be healthy physically and mentally, with the goal to become stronger. Not really focusing on getting specific physical results like I did back then, and more on accepting my body for what it is, to be happy and grateful for all it does. I’ve also stopped restricting foods, I used to have the mentality of “good” and “bad” foods, but I’ve stopped thinking that way. I just eat what I want and make sure not to overdo it, listening to my body when it’s full and content.
My aspirations have changed alot since I created this blog, but I made some new goals for this year that will help me stay on track towards being active frequently!
Run a 5k race in April
Run a half marathon race in September
Do yoga or stretch every morning
Meditate at least once a day
Write affirmation daily
Slowly introduce more food into diet to gain weight

Some history to my weight journey
I'm not new to the fitblr and weightloss world but I have been gone for awhile.
In Dec 2010 I had reached my highest weight at the time, 221lbs. I started my weight loss journey, documented on tumblr, and by April 2012 I was at my lowest of 154lbs.
Then I met my husband, I got comfortable, I got lazy, and started to slowly gain back weight. I still ran (including the Chicago marathon in 2013!) but slowly I was going back to my old ways.
In Feb 2017 I found out I was pregnant (at 234lbs) with our daughter. It was a complicated pregnancy with preeclampsia, and a premature birth at 30w1d with a 64 day nicu stay but before the end of Oct 2017 we were all home.
I'd attempted to lose weight here and there since then but nothing stuck. I wanted to be back down to at least 170 before we tried for baby #2 just so I could give us the best chance of a healthy pregnancy but as time went on and I wasn't losing the weight I decided I just wanted to get pregnant now instead of waiting.
In June 2020 I got my IUD removed and we started trying for baby #2. With our first I got pregnant right away, first month after my IUD was out. So I thought for sure that's what would happen this time. Unfortunately month after month went by with now positive test until finally in Dec 2020, less than a week before Christmas I finally got a positive test! But by Feb 2021 we learned we had lost the pregnancy. I was devastated. But we immediately got back to trying as soon as it was considered safe. By October 2021 I met with my OB to discuss infertility and we began my first round of clomid a couple weeks later. That first round didn't work so we tried 2 more rounds before switching to letrozole.
During that journey I also learned I have PCOS. I worked hard and went from 289lbs in Oct '21 to 246lbs in Mar '22. I got pregnant in January of '22 but was in the middle of a workout program when I got pregnant so my doctor said I was ok to continue even if it meant I was losing weight while pregnant. Over the pregnancy I got to my highest weight ever of 303lbs on the day my 2nd daughter was born in October 2022. Almost immediately after she was born I dropped back down to the 270s where I've been for a little over a year now.
We're hoping to try for 1 more baby, hopefully in the later half of 2024 so I'd like to get my weight back under control.
I'm going to be doing a Beachbody On Demand (BODI is what they call it now I guess) workout as well as eating healthier and getting back into running again. I'm thinking if I can get into a good running habit in the first month of 2024 then I'll commit to a local race series that does 6 races on different holidays throughout the year.
My daughter who is 6 has really loved doing some 1 mile races lately so I'd love to do some races together with her this upcoming year.
