God the fucking parallels between Kamen/Fiona and Hollow/Levi are driving me insane

Fiona helps create Levi, treating them with compassion and even giving them her voice

Fiona sacrifices everything to join Kamen on the Demeter 227 in a desperate attempt to salvage their marriage

Kamen, through negligence and selfishness, destroys Fiona

Hollow controls Kamen by feeding him images of Fiona and tormenting him with memories of all the ways he failed her

Kamen gives in to his guilt and lets Hollow consume him

Hollow, while carrying Kamen, purposefully destroys Levi

Levi comes back changed, filled with organic material and able to experience physical and emotional sensation

Kamen realizes he wants to live, he wants to do right by Fiona even though she’s gone

Levi destroys the overgrown form of Hollow, reducing it to its original form and freeing Kamen from its control

Levi goes on to live independently, working symbiotically with the environment of Vesta

Assigning AMC's The Terror characters music

[if they were cooler....I mean tbh none of these guys other than Blanky would have any music taste at all. Or at most they would have one big Spotify Megaplaylist with no defining genre]

Crozier: The Cars, Bob Dylan, The Who, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, The Police, Tom Petty, Live, Rush. Sometimes can get into stuff like TOOL.

Blanky: probably one of those people who talks about all the concerts he went to in his heyday, i.e. Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, KMFDM, Depeche Mode, The Who, Skinny Puppy, Tool, etc. He brought Crozier along too sometimes. Has the coolest music taste but you never know until something is brought up and he says "I remember that show...it was great." and adds nothing else.

Fitzjames: Mitski and Kate Bush lmao. Other than that, just whatever's popular. Anoying to listen to music with him cuz he's one of those people who thinks everyone will be impressed by him singing along to Paramore.

John Franklin: Hank Williams Sr, David Allen Coe, Joe Rogan podcast and believes everything Rogan says.

Hodgson/Little (Little wouldn't listen to anything if it weren't for Hodgson): fun or chill stuff like Third Eye Blind, Blink-182, Moby, Oasis, Smashing Pumpkins, Yellowcard. Hodgson plays the guitar a little bit and plays for Little and Irving sometimes.

Irving: Music that they play in Walgreens; i.e. GooGooDolls, Matchbox Twenty, Maroon5, The Fray, Semisonic, Train, Hoobastank, Counting Crows, TobyMac. Also has been caught listening to stuff from bands he claims have Christian members/influences (Evanescence, Slayer, Skillet, Black Veil Brides)

Jopson: Ska/rap metal, surprisingly... 311, No Doubt, Mindless Self Indulgence, Butthole Surfers, The Prodigy, knows how to get jiggy to Marilyn Manson, orgy, and NIN.

Tozer: Who Let the Dogs Out, Baby Got Back, Limp Bizkit, Creed....stuff like that. Once was caught singing a Taylor Swift song to an unconscious Heather tho.

E talvez você só tenha achado uma capítulo bobinho sobre Franky, mas entregou muita coisa importante e pistas para o próximo arco de SxF. (Talvez.)

O capítulo já abre com Franky acordando em um dos muitos esconderijos que ele têm.

Para quem não lembra, Franky é um informante. Ele vende informações para quem pagar. Sendo muito acionado pelo o Twilight (Wise) em suas missões. E trabalha como vendedor de tabaco, assim, conhecendo e sendo conhecido por muitos, como mostrado nesse capítulo.

Muitas vezes fazendo o trabalho de babá, cuidando de Anya e Bond enquanto Twilight e Yor não estão em casa.

Mas vamos para o que interessa nesse capítulo.

A caça aos informantes pela a SSS.

O capítulo além de mostrar o cotidiano de Franky, mostra também essa operação da SSS que não é desconexa e nem criada apenas para esse capítulo.

Na Missão 02 Franky aparece com arquivos da prefeitura. E na Missão 11 vemos a captura de um informante de dentro da prefeitura, que vendeu esses arquivos das moças para que Twilight encontrasse uma esposa.

Seguindo, é Franky que informa sobre a Garden, organização de assassinos de elite, na Missão 43 que abre o Arco do Cruzeiro com foco em Yor.

Na Missão 60, temos Franky e Fiona como protagonistas. Buscando um falsificador para uma missão Nightfall procura Franky por conselho de Loid. Eles acabam encontrando o contato do informante, mas a SSS estava atrás dele. Nela acabamos vendo mais do porque Franky faz o que faz.

E com o Arco do Wheeler, vimos que até dentro do Serviço de Segurança há informantes. Com isso a SSS se mobilizar é natural.

SxF é uma guerra de informações que podem ajudar tanto a provocar conflitos como mina-los. E esse Arco do volume 12-13 nos entrega bem essa disputa de ambas as agências (Wise x SSS)

Por isso Franky é tão necessário na obra. É ele que muitas vezes ajuda nas missões de Loid e nos trás informações importantes.

O próximo arco!

E vamos para as teorias. Já têm um tempo que estamos tendo um foco na Anya, seja em ilustrações, capítulos curtos como foi o de seu nome na M95

A Fiona aparece nesse capítulo (M105) e pede informações para mais uma missão. Que será em uma universidade científica.

Isso pode significar mais descobertas sobre o Projeto Apple (Vol. 4) e o projeto que envolve Anya (M01).

Temos também as drogas criadas para aumentar a força de um humano na M31, com o Arco do Tênis Clandestino.

E mais recentemente a inclusão de dois personagens que não têm nada suspeito (ainda), na M90. Sigmund e Bárbara Authen. Sendo que o Sigmund lecionava em uma Universidade.

Uma curiosidade desse capítulo é que o Sr. Sigmund têm uma memória fraca e esquece onde está, fazendo com que Anya e Yor o ajudassem. Anya passa todo o capítulo lendo a mente do velhinho para o ajudar.

What do you think would of happened if Debbie never had franny? Like if she miscarried or just couldn’t conceive.

I know for a fact both of those options would of absolutely destroyed her. She would of been mortified, i wonder what her life would of been like without franny.

Fiona obviously would of been happy and I know that would be the end of any chance for Debbie and Fiona to be as close as they used to.

So..thoughts?

i honestly don’t know.

the thing is, if debbie didn’t end up getting pregnant, either because she couldn’t conceive or just that one time with derek didn’t get her knocked up, i don’t think she would’ve ended up the way a lot of people thought she would. i think a common belief is that debbie had all of this wasted potential because she had a kid, but honestly i think she would’ve ended up fucked up even if she didn’t have franny. i don’t know- if she had graduated high school i could possibly see her going to college, but it’s also so hard to decide what she would end up doing. debbie’s really always just wanted motherhood; she was a genius and very gifted, but despite her brains she never explicitly stated what she wanted except for a baby. she was on the debate team and class president in season 1, so maybe she could have gone into politics or something? i don’t know. i truly believe welding ended up being her calling, but she only found that because she had a kid and dropped out so… had franny not been born debbie would’ve been an entirely different person.

had she miscarried, i think she would’ve just been fucking destroyed. i don’t agree that fiona would be happy. i think she would be relieved that debbie wasn’t having a kid but a miscarriage is extremely traumatic especially if you’re a fourteen year old girl who’s already extremely traumatized. i think that if she did have a miscarriage it would just be the end. not like she would die or something like that, but i don’t think she would ever recover. it would destroy her mental health and she would be fucked up for good. she has such bad abandonment issues and if her kid had died… she wouldn’t be able to handle that at all. she’s strong but considering everything she had to endure and her age she would just be fucked.

this may be controversial, but i truly believe that without franny, debbie wouldn’t have been successful. and i get that teenage pregnancy isn’t something to be encouraged, but it seemed like it was the right thing for debbie. that was her only goal in life and franny ended up saving her. franny gave her perspective and debbie learned so much upon becoming a mother. she was bound to get pregnant early, and again, she didn’t seem to have any direction anyways. getting pregnant was in a way, a form of self sabotage, but it also ended up going in debbie’s favor. because of franny, she dropped out, because she dropped out, she learned welding, because she started welding, she discovered she was a lesbian, because of this, she learned more about herself, because of both of these facts, she was able to make her business work + with the experience she’s gotten from the life she’s lived, she learned how to turn a mugshot into a successful business. and by the end of the series she’s earning more money than all of her siblings, so… i think that even if the road to success was rocky and fucked up a lot of things, her getting pregnant ended up leading to her having a better life than she may have hoped for.

in conclusion, any scenario where debbie couldn’t have a kid would’ve been a worse scenario, and it’s definitely a good thing she had franny.

SMB: The Koopalings’ Biological Parents

Not much to say, but they are just the biological parents of the Koopalings. Before they raise them, Morton Koopa Sr. falls in love with a pretty Koopa lady which is Jacqueline Von Koopa, of course. 

Jacqueline likes to give Wendy makeovers, and she wears sunglasses, but not too much, so she offers it to Roy. Most lovely of all, Jacqueline teaches Ludwig how to play the piano. She can be cheerful when listening to music with Larry, and Jacqueline offers a gift chain chomp for Iggy who wanted to have a pet for his family. Morton Koopa Sr. loved his children as Jacqueline does, and he names the Koopaling that looked like him after his name. Morton Sr. plays balls with Lemmy, and he does the same things his wife would do for their children. Sadly, they have a sudden cause of death, which was unknown as the Koopalings were growing up. Both Morton Sr. and Jacqueline have passed away soon after, leaving their children orphaned for adoption.
