I don’t think the subtle mental health issues in Crisis Core are discussed enough. Two that come to mind is Angeal’s suicidal comments and the passing comment that Sephiroth has lost noticeable weight during the events of the game.

Also the general themes of depression, each 1st class exhibiting different symptoms.
