Zack is a very affectionate person. Everyone knows it cause it’d be pretty hard not to considering how willingly and how often he drapes himself on anyone near and pulls them close whenever he feels like it.

The fact has both worked out greatly and worked against him horribly for the last two weeks. Because in that time he had subtly been trying to hint at maybe wanting something more from a certain blond trooper and it has been completely flying over his head.

Zack has tried everything from sitting Cloud in his lap and hiding his face away in the crook of his neck all the way up to literally kissing him on the cheek whenever they part ways. But the blond stays stubbornly oblivious and doesn’t catch on to any sort of change.

we talk about how cloud is haunted by the zack in his head but we dont talk about zack who survives the cliff and is also haunted by the cloud in his head. i need them to be weird and codependent and reunionified with each other. i need them to have shared memories, synchronised fighting styles, they speak the same words at the same time, their body language and the way they move is identical, neither of them quite remember who was born in nibelheim and which got trapped in a touch me frog transformation cycle for 6 hours as a kid, and i need them to not even realise how fucking weird this is because its just their normal
