celeb_gossip not long after his split with actress emma vanity, sirius black has been pulled into some unexpected dating rumours with fellow rockstar, y/n l/n. the two singers have been leaving some interesting comments under one another's posts recently, and fans claim to have seen them together at marlene mckinnon's shows and several other occasions. the alleged couple, however, has not been photographed together yet. what do you think? 🤔 is this just another senseless rumour? 🤨 or is there something more going on? 👀 drop a comment and let us know your thoughts 😘💋

how was the concert? I'm going to the one in London so was curious what the line up might be like
It was really cool! The setup is like this, they have a big screen and play scenes from the game while the orchestra plays.
They might have a slightly different setlist than what they played in LA, but from what I remember, it went something like this (not necessarily in order):
Main Theme Medley
Battle Theme Medley
Queensblood (so good ahh)
Costa del Sol (great fun)
Rufus’s March (also super fun)
Cosmo Canyon (My all time fave. Almost cried)
A Gold Saucer medley
Loveless Medley (from the Gold Saucer performance)
Zack Fair Medley
Galian Beast ❤️ *I ramble about this below hehe
Jenova Medley (this one was sick. The Jenova Battle Theme performed live is incredible)
Sephiroth Reborn
Aeris’s Theme (Very emotional)
One Winged Angel (Obligatory encore piece. Every FF concert I’ve ever been to ends with this one XDDD)
***
Pro tip: They might play 2-3 encore pieces so do not get up to leave until the orchestra does XDDD
***
*Yes, Vincent got his very own section all to himself. ❤️❤️❤️ It was so… strange because throughout the entire performance, Vincent was nowhere to be found in any of the film segments, *except* in his own. (I affectionately call this “Vincent erasure” ;_;) I kind of get why they did this, it increases the suspense and of course he is kind of this dark secret of the FFVII narrative. It was insane to see him on a giant screen, very surreal and emotional. I think my heart was pounding the entire time 😂Middle school me would not have believed it if someone told me this would be happening in 20+ years!!
#ff7#ff7 rebirth#ff7 rebirth concert#i wanted to film the vincent part but I chickened out I am sorry everyone 😭#ask

It feels like Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal are lifelong friends, even though they insist their bond formed while working together on All of Us Strangers, the new drama from Looking and Weekend filmmaker Andrew Haigh.
On a Friday afternoon in Los Angeles in November, the pair remain in their own world. A cacophony of publicists and camera operators swirl around them, in the thick of a string of media interviews, but Scott, 47, and Mescal, 27, sit calmly shoulder-to-shoulder in a press room having their own private, whispered conversation. It's difficult to make out, which only makes you want to know what they're saying that much more. And when you pry, they shrug it off.
Perhaps this was what Haigh was talking about when he said, during an awards-season Q&A for the American Film Institute, that the three of them went to a concert in London together and his actors "completely ignored" him most of the day. "We didn't!" Scott insists. "That's not true," Mescal adds, laughing. "That's a little bit of hyperbolic directorial license," Scott says. "We need to have a word with him." *
*(emphasis entirely mine, because, seriously Andrew Haigh, wtf was that interview)
It's no wonder the internet has fallen for the bond between these Irish gents, fawning over photos of Mescal attending Scott's birthday party at a club.* The pals say they only knew of each other "a little bit" prior to All of Us Strangers, but "not as well as we know each other now," Scott quips — alluding to the sex scenes they shot together for the movie. "We know everything. The whole kit and caboodle!" However, once people see the film — part romance, part ghost story — it's their emotional bond they forge on screen that stands out... and often leads to overt sobs from the audience.
*(a club that was definitely NOT in Spain, no matter what you may have read on Twitter, just so we're clear. It was also the wrap party for Vanya, which had just ended that evening in London, so unless he has super powers, Spain's not possible. Also, Andrew was surrounded by other friends and practically everyone involved in the play, not there with just Paul FFS. Sorry, sorry, carry on. )
...
Scott and Mescal joke how it was their Irish heritage that helped them understand what Haigh was going for. "The means to express is something that we as a culture are still processing," Mescal says. "I think that's why Irish actors, generally speaking, are good at playing the stuff beneath the surface. A good healthy dose of repression helps the ol' acting." The connection these actors forge through performance is palpable. It was a surprise even to them how affected the audience became when they attended their first public screening of All of Us Strangers in Los Angeles earlier in the week. "I was balling," Scott recalls. "We had to do a Q&A afterwards. I was really emotional."
...
"To play being in love or falling in love with someone, it's the best, completely wonderful thing to be able to do," Scott says. "We were starting to get to know each other [as people], as well. Beyond our preliminary friendship, it was like both of those experiences were coexisting."
This was a very good article, you should absolutely click through and read it all so that EW knows that we are interested in this film and these actors!
(Thank you for indulging my asides, I just had some things I needed to get off my chest 😆)

I do feel sorry for Louis because I think he suffers from internalised homophobia from growing up in Doncaster where he would have witnessed his peers being bullied for being gay. Unlike Harry who has two gay managers, gay band members, support acts and close friends like Alessandro who are gay, Louis is largely isolated from his community as an adult especially when he's touring.
Hi, anon!
I disagree with you that Louis suffers from internalised homophobia. I think you are reading this all wrong and like the gp would. I've talked about this before too.
Louis probably grew up in a place where gay was used as a slur by kids, that i agree with. However, when Louis moved to London i think that was very freeing for him and he blossomed. Louis is proud of being gay and proud of his relationship with Harry. Louis has a triangle tattoo ffs, and half his tattoos is complementary to H's tattoos. He was behind the bears too. He sings i love him i hate it and has songs about holding H at an Ed Sheeran concert. He's bathing his fans in rainbow lights at his concerts.
The reasons why it might seem like he's suffering from internalised homophobia is because he is harshly closeted. Probably one of the worst cases of unwillingly closeted in history. Believe me, if he had a choice he'd be out and proud. Both him and Harry has been banging on the closet door for years wanting out. It hasn't been as visible these last few years perhaps, but he does what he can to tell us who he really is. You just need to look past the surface and his constructed het image to see he's gay and closeted. I don't neccessarily think Louis would be the poster child for gay men when he's out and go to pride etc, but that doesn’t mean he isn't proud of who he is and hasn't accepted he's gay.
I think Louis is close to his childhood friends, and they know about him and H and support him. Louis doesn’t have as many public friendships with queers, that's true, but then again he's more harshly closeted than H is. He is being kept from his community, but that's due to his closet. He does have queer openers and he does have queer members on his touring team, but i get what you mean.
Louis' public twitter account has been one of the most important tools for closeting him. People think it's him tweeting and it has a wide reach. It's easy, because it's low effort and high reward. You hide behind a screen and you don’t have to stunt or say anything on camera where the lies can easily be detected. It's super effective and to the point. You can gaslight the fuck out of people. You get the narrative you want out there. Everything that "Louis" says on twitter shouldn't be trusted. Same with things in printed interviews.
It's a fight to look behind all the bullshit and gaslighting they throw at us, but don't let them fool you into thinking he's an insecure, scared man who hasn't yet accepted he's gay and isn't proud of it. That's simply not true.

I work with finance guys and a lot of them are competitive gym bunnies with great bodies. Times have changed since nerds ruled the industry. The traders in particular are all about lifting weights before going off to party and show off their muscles.
right??? lol my first ex is the definition of a poet stuck in a finance guy. He did - when we dated and even now in our 30s - gym and play enough sportz to legit have a six pack. He still has one now afaik. He made me feel insecure during my ED phase that I was just really thin and not gymming enough because I think he’d try be helpful but like I didn’t want to eat and I wanted to be size 0 so idk like hearing “but you could be better at sportz” didn’t help much at that point. He also used to go to my lit lectures with me if he’d read the book for fun (which he often did) because he wanted to hear other interpretations. The man reads a fuckton and as I said has a six pack into his 30s now but he’s the DEFINITION of a poet stuck in a finance guy like he also listens to semi obscure music (that’s why I know a lot of late 00s early 10s The National so well 🤦🏻♀️) and collects vinyls and shit. Like his poetry’s not great I’m ngl and even the stuff he says in prose isn’t that interesting but I can’t deny he’s got the look and body of a finance guy and that he tries on occasion to be like really creative and interesting.
btw he took his fiancée to eras in London (and sent me videos) so like good for him but also ffs man lol like why did I need to see that your fiancée and you had a great time at the concert of the woman I’m obsessed with? Happy for u but also go die in a ditch idk 😂🤷🏻♀️

Dumblr won't send my asks through again ffs why do you hate me so much you dumb shit site 😩😩 anyway I'm back cause I've been thinking about the gals being soft like you know you're just doing something normal idk talking to someone or making food or smth and they look at you in that one way with so much love and a little smile and they're thinking (or maybe even saying outloud) thing like "how did I get so lucky" and stuff. Like you're in the hall during a feast and just eating and having fun with the drengr and Eivor has that absolutely lovestruck expression and everyone who sees it is like "yeah she's down bad". Or when you were in your Chambers with the jarlskona and you fall asleep and Soma just looks at you with adoration a caresses your face with her finger. Kassandra sees you playing around with some children and laughing and smiling with them all of you having fun and she just stands there against a wall with the most genuine smile on her face, her heart beating a little faster and her love is literally radiating off her cause her body can't possibly contain all of it before she goes to join your little group. Dani sees you just jamming out to some songs on the radio, you don't see her, you have no idea she's standing in the doorway. And you're just ha in a blast, singing a little with the song, dancing around a bit, unknowingly giving her a private concert. And she's just looking at you with a a smile, laughing just a tiny bit in the most endearing way and she can't help but think "yeah she's the absolute best I'm going to marry her someday" and she suddenly surprises you by joining in and then you're singing and dancing together. In conclusion I need a buff, nice woman to be soft with me and be lovey dovey, who doesn't. 🦅
((I got your other ask, if it was just the one, that was a little ahem spicy but it was midnight and I just got back from 12 hours in London so a bitch was tired))
Don't you just love love?? The idea of being enamoured by the person you love doing something normal is so sweet. I want to see the lovey-dovey looks and ;lhhgfdhjghkjdfhl yes pls good soup bestie

I think we will get backstage photos in livestream next week. They did insta tv before from concerts. But i think that this time it will be all in that footage. My opinion is that he did this for free, but it still must be payed. And no i dont think that because he has money, he have all pay on his own. So i think it is from his merch drops and livestream. Dont know how many people will this time buy tickets, i think it could be less than in december. people know that it will be avaliable after
yeah we’ll get all that backstage content on saturday. my tags were more about the general lack of content coming from his own channels ie not lthq or his team (or his dogwalker..) I have the same - maybe even bigger - issue w Harry’s channels. like.. engage you f… fans ffs! the lthq and hshq accounts are such a damn stupid idea it makes my blood boil. louis and harry doesn’t even need to lift a finger but they do need to tell their teams to do the work and not doing so is a choice..
about the financial side of the festival he’s (supposedly) an independent artist now so yes he’s footing the bills himself. but he’s also keeping a much larger bite of the earnings of both his shows, merch and eventually music. and an event like AFHF doesn’t come cheap. I don’t remember who brought up the idea originally but I do believe the choice to make the festival free was in part to avoid a mess of refunds and insurance issues in case they needed to cancel cause.. covid. (we’ve all witnessed the absolute mess that is harry’s tour…) but then money’s gotta come from somewhere else and yes that’s merch and livestream tickets. makes perfect sense to me.
I’m not really worried about fans not buying tickets tbh. the stream might not hit the same numbers as live from london (200k !!) but louis got such a loyal fanbase so I’m sure he’s already sold a ton of tickets. even if he only sold 100k at $15 a piece that’s 1.5 million dollars..

Thank you so much for the tag @blossomanarchy ! Love you Maud💙
Name/Nickname: Mercy, Mer by a few (reminds me of Grey’s lol)
Gender: Female
Zodiac Sign: Cancer♋️
Height: This is really embarrassing... but I actually don’t remember😭 It’s been forever since it’s been checked
Birthday: July 19th
Lucky Number: 7/13
When did you create this blog?: Late March or Mid-April 2020 I guess?
What do I post?: Choices, Taylor Swift, One Direction, and occasionally Grey’s Anatomy, Marvel, Percy Jackson, and a whole lotta bs
Last thing I googled: The WEH walkthrough on the Choices wiki
Do I get asks?: Yes. Bunch of lyric completions (love you @nikki-2406 💙), and Ethan Ramsey stuff
Why did I choose my URL?: I mean, it’s kinda obvious😅 ts- Taylor Swift, rookie- Ethan’s nickname, my two first loves (pun intended)
My current projects and WIPS: I’m sorry... what? If my incomplete school presentations count, then that’s pretty much it😞 But in all seriousness, I was working on an ILY fic till December, and I wanted to post it, but simply couldn’t complete it. So it’s just sitting in there😕
Favourite artists(s) atm: Taylor Swift, One Direction (solo careers included) and Little Mix. These three, forever and always💕
All time fav: The three I stated above (I’m not kidding, they comprise more than half of my 500+ songs playlist)
Favourite song of all time: Call It What You Want by Taylor Swift (lol maybe I should just put this on my bio😆)
Last movie: The reputation Stadium Tour
Last show: My Little Pony Game of Thrones/ Grey’s Anatomy. They took GA off Amazon Prime after I finished season 3, so I’m surviving on YouTube now.
Favourite food: Dosa, Pizza, Pasta, and basically almost anything chicken
Food I hate: BAN SPINACH FFS
Favourite colour: Blue, Fuchsia, White, Black and Red
Favourite animal: Puppies!
What I’m currently wearing: T-shirt and one of my favourite comfy pants. I’m gonna sleep after this.
Dream job: Still undecided, but I’m leaning towards a writer
Dream trip: A Taylor Swift concert, London, Paris, Rome, Australia, and maybe NYC? (Ya know, if Taylor still lives there) I mostly just wanna touch some fucking snow before I die GET ME OUT OF INDIA PLEASE
Currently reading: NCERT textbooks😒
Currently thinking about: The With Every Heartbeat soundtrack, and a fic idea I’m never going to write down
Fun Facts:
1. Maud I’m with you on the first one. I downright hate insects. Every single one of them. Even the supposedly pretty little butterflies
2. I have pretty bad mood swings all the time.
3. Avengers Endgame was spoiled for me two days after it’s release. I was sitting in the middle of the night doing my homework when some m*****f***** (look, I REALLY hate that person, okay?) on YouTube posted a video with the title “IRON MAN DEATH SCENE AVENGERS ENDGAME”. I’d only become a Marvel fan three weeks prior, and Tony was my favourite character. So you can guess what happened after that🥲 I spent two whole days walking around like a zombie, and cried in my room at any given chance. Tony Stark was the first fictional character who made me bawl my eyes out.
3. I can sorta sing?
4. I have a Taylor Swift pillow that I hug and kiss more than my family (I love them tho😂)
5. I once wrote a song. It wasn’t entirely crap, and I was even kinda proud of myself, but then the memories associated with it became way too painful to hold on to, so I tore it up and threw it in the trash. So there’s some sappy stuff about me.
6. ...I really love My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, and I re watch it whenever I get the chance. Judge me all you want, but that show is so much better than some of my other childhood shows *cough* Winx *cough*.
Top three fictional universes: Choices, Percy Jackson, My Little Pony, MCU
Tagging @nikki-2406 @aworldoffandoms @oceanofsaturn @caseyvalentineramsey and basically anyone who wants to do this! I’d love to get to know more people here and I’m too sleepy

Peckham Classical
Found another old (2013) piece for a Vice offshoot that no longer exists, so re-upping again. I was a little bit try hard with the Vice language here, but it’s OK otherwise...
OK, let's name the elephant in the room and get it out the way. Peckham – The New Dalston™, the hippest place on the planet right now etc etc etc – is the gentrification frontline, and that can be uncomfortable. We've already seen it in the squirming language of things like broadsheet property pages (“darkest Peckham” FFS), and restaurant reviews (dogwhistle use of the word “crack”? Jesus, please!). And it's there right all up in our faces when we head to the first Friday night of the two-weekend London Contemporary Music Festival, in the clusters of nervous classical music lovers on Rye Lane clutching their bags closer as they look for the hidden away venue, and in the packs of absolute Fucking Ledges and their Sloaney girlfriends on safari from Clapham to Frank's Bar, coked off their nut, dressed like LMFAO and braying extra loudly and giving each other the finger to compensate for their own on-edgeness while the locals either look on in slightly tetchy bemusement or just studiously ignore them all.
And the gig... well the gig – a set of recitals of Ennio Morricone scores – is a powerful archetype from the off. There's a grand piano, a load of other classical instruments and a load of expensive PA kit set up in the middle of a multi-story carpark floor that I know only from voyeuristically browsing phone-shot road rap videos on YouTube, and milling around are probably the highest concentration of entirely caucasian people for half a mile in each direction. The first piece, a circle of violinists sending skittering abstractions bouncing between one another, is punctuated by the 20:33 to Selhurst pulling into Peckham Rye station next door and people shouting in the street below, while on the other side the sunset is dousing the Allsop-designed Peckham Library and behind it the glass cathedrals of The City in a bright pink sci-fi sheen. It's absolutely fucking glorious.
That's the thing: this rarefied music is glorious, and performed in a concrete shell beset by the sounds and sights of South London coming in from all sides, it's glorious to the power brilliant. Even the bit on the Morricone night when a pianist clatters on pseudo-randomly for what seems like an hour, reaching inside the beast to pluck the strings, hammering the keyboard with his elbows etc etc – a performance which my friends assess simply as “long” – is glorious in this context. There's none of the “shush”-ing tedium of the concert hall, you can wander off to look at the view or grab a drink whenever you feel like it, the entirety of the place is part of the performance, it feels alive and new. When a line of trumpeters start muting their instruments with water-bottles, making swannee whistle type noises and clattering their valves percussively, as the night closes in around the building and car subwoofers add to the ambience, it's impossible not to love the majestic, foolish, Bohemian wonder of it all.
The next night, the ambience is all different. As if there were some celestial lighting director in the employ of the LCMF, the backdrop for the performance of veteran No Wave noisenik Glenn Branca is towering thunderclouds, with hot wind whipping in through the sides of the carpark. We're made to wait behind a rope as soundchecks are repeated in a series of rumbles and clatters. The audience is a little more rough and ready this time, a few more obvious freaks in attendence, but it's all relative; we are all still pale and geeky by any standards. When Branca and his circle of guitarists start up, it is electric. To my shame, I've heard little of his work before this, but having grown up on My Bloody Valentine and then Mogwai, to hear the sounds he makes up is like discovering the motherlode. Huge forked lightning flashes across the skyline, while the racket builds up and up – sometimes smashing into free jazz / Beefheart rhythmic derangement, generally chugging along on a motorik drum framework. If I believed in that sort of thing, I'd say it was transcendent, but there's certainly no question it's mind-altering – as the volume increases it's the rawest kind of hypnotism.
Then suddenly the spell's broken, by a tirade of swearing from Branca at the soundman – which said soundman has turned into a little bit of sound art here: https://soundcloud.com/erik-nystrom/sitting-in-a-car-park-with-a Branca storms off, the night is over and again, it was glorious. I sneak backstage to see if I can break through his fury, and find a grizzled old drunk guy (the band were constantly handing round what looked like quadruple measures of neat whisky through the performance) chainsmoking filterless fags and fuming about how this was the worst venue and show he had ever experienced in his life. I sit and sympathise for a while, suggesting that surely back in the punk / no wave days of New York's downtown desolation he must have seen more disorganisation, but he insists that no, he has ever witnessed such a mixture of pure evil and incompetence. Then an equally hobo-ish looking Charlemagne Palestine (who'll be performing his piano-drone pieces the next day) materialises, is beatifically sweet to everyone, and Branca calms down, admitting that the show was good, he's just furious that the climax – which was the whole point – was “destroyed”. I ask if these guys like playing this kind of venue, if it reminds them of the boho days of the 70s and 80s. Branca “couldn't give a damn”, by Palestine laughs lightly. “Ahh,” he says, “we artists always come into these parts of town, we change them, then the architects and lawyers come and get rich from them... but not us... never us!”
The next day is a perfect comedown from the delirium of the Branca show; a day of drone music, which I attend with my 3-year-old. We sit on a crate eating Jamaican patties and drinking fruit punch and listen to Jem Finer playing a Stooges album at 1rpm so it's reduced to waves of dinosaur growling, and once again it's so perfectly ridiculous in its cultural inappropriateness that it's impossible to take the context seriously and all we can do is just enjoy the monstrous sounds and rough beauty of the place. The end of the day's session is an acoustic ensemble performance of Brian Eno's 'Music For Airports', and once again with evening sun lighting up London on either side of us, it all just feels too blissful for words. While there are layers upon layers of anxieties to unpick and jokes to be made about cultural encroachment – as well as the radically contrasting thrill of being smack bang in the middle of one of the interface points of a living, evolving city to enjoy – on the most immediate level, as an artistic, aesthetic achievement, the LCMF was simply stunning to the senses. As we leave I spot an angrily scrawled, probably deliberately misspelled, graffito on one of the car ramps with an arrow pointing up in the direction the concert venue and Frank's Bar saying “TRIUMPH OF BOURGOUSIE”, helpfully adding “(UPSTAIRS)” in case we didn't get it. It isn't that – things are far more complicated than that as you trace the movement of art across a city – but it certainly does have a discreet charm.
