p sure Luna's got knee pain. mom'll be talking to the vet today to see if we can get her in before christmas, or at least get some painkillers or her in the meantime

#assuming we'll get an x-ray to see how it looks in there #way back post surgery i know there was one final followup (last xray) that fell through and its been gnawing on my mind ever since #her knees have felt different all along but i wasnt there for all of it so i dont know whats what #bby :(#incredibly frustrating because ever since the surgeries she's been doing well #and in the last year shes been GREAT #so hopefully this is isnt anything catastrophic #this dog has the mental constitution of a marshmallow. cant allow bad things to happen to her

Took Kaija to an informal baby nosework class today where she learned how to search for and retrieve a piece of a red deer antler 🦌

#3 years #australian shepherd #dogblr #dog training #nosework #my tentative plan is to get a full roe antler from somewhere (i.e. probably from a hunter) and switch to using that #and maybe actually go out looking for real shed antlers at some point?? i've always wanted to try that.#a couple of things from today:#1) i don't really think this is something kaija has loads of natural talent for 😅#considering that at some points she was walking right past the antler or seemingly relying more on her eyes than her nose #but i guess time will tell maybe we'll figure it out eventually #2) we have a retrieve to hand now :')#i remember i was working on a (more formal) retrieve at some point but then the RO trial season started and that fell to the wayside #her retrieve atm may not be pretty but it works! and i'm happy about it!#3) nosework really tires her out fast. those wheels in her head were TURNING today and she's sooo exhausted now #so if nothing else then at least we have a fun new activity that we can do both indoors and out

I could talk about how female characters are almost always watered down to the responsible friend or the voice reason or the badass character with no feelings, etc etc and how it's not only harmful but usually ooc for most of the characters it includes (Nya, Annabeth, literally every girl from PjO, Shoko and Nobara, etc) for hours but I have to sleep

I agree with you about Capcom bringing Nash back for SF6! I even made a post in my Threads account about him if Bison comes back, then there is a chance he might return! Please Capcom! Bring my boy back in the series! You been neglecting him for far too long!

I could go on about how I think they could bring Nash back in SF6 for AGES. The sheer fact that F.A.N.G. lived and is in SF6 (Fang Fei/Foo, A.K.I.'s master) makes me think that Nash probably survived his bout with Bison in some degree and could come back but there's so many ways they can go about it they could make it really insane if they wanted to.

They could have the Secret Society/Illuminati revive him again to use as an agent to gain ground against Shadaloo and potentially leverage Gill/the Society into higher threat standing (villain).

They could tie Darkstalkers semi-into Street Fighter and say that the Nash we would see is him after escaping the Makai and give him some more wacky magic-like powers (and give Darkstalkers fans like myself some more crumbs to survive on for a while lol).

They could lean into the Nash/Shadow setup from Marvel vs. Capcom and say that Shadaloo had/has him and the Nash we get to see is totally brainwashed into servitude by Bison or has escaped his brainwashing but like Cammy has no memories of his past. Or hell, just bring 'Shadow' back and it's just Nash but under a different name with different goals in mind!

But those are just my ideas after all.

Capcom needs to give us Nash STAT. I need to see my boy again!

#year 4 #it me #short version my grandma went to the er last week bc she was feeling ill #suspected it to be some long covid side effects. they put her on fluids & nutrition for most of the week #saturday she was scheduled to go home #mere hours before her discharge she fell and broke her hip #so she had surgery to repair it the following day #but post op she couldnt bear to eat anything and was very tired #so they did more tests #turns out shes like. terminally ill #in a kind of vague and nonspecific way related to being Just Very Old And Frail #but there is very definitely some stuff going on inside her that WILL eventually kill her #we just dont know when exactly #but we though maybe itd be sometime this week #but today she seemed to be rallying so now we are like #okay well do we send her to rehab for her hip or does she need to stay in like a more robust care facility #and its simply a whole thing #and we would really like for her to be able to go home before she dies so she can have unlimited access to her dog #who she loves very much and who is not allowed in the hospital #idk it is just ROUGH. not unexpected but on top of the other shit that has happened this year?#my aunt recovering from brain surgery still #my dog being very old and fragile #my fucking hamster died #its just a lot!!!#cw death #cw pet death #cw animal death #cw terminal illness #day 124

if my abusive ins*nely controlling parent didn’t randomly just show up to our place of residency WHOLE STATES AND MANY HOURS AWAY from where they live with absolutely no warning other than “I had a change of plans, we’re coming up there and you’re coming to breakfast with us” and when I say “that actually doesn’t work for us can we plan something in advance?” I’m met with “no. I’m coming, it’s not a big deal” that would be great if this could fucking end
