FEBRUARY PROMPTS.

Prompt-ary is a February Prompt Challenge with Valentine’s Day and Love-Themed Prompts from February 1st up until the 14th of February. Feel free to participate, if you love prompts & love!

Fentonic 2024 - A February Danny Phantom, Art/Writing Monthly Prompt

Heya fellas! As I seen February did not have a monthly prompt yet for DP so I created one just for the kick of it! I made on for MLB with a very specific theme last October and I enjoyed it a lot so i thought i'd create another one, this time for DP as am mainly drawing for this fandom these days.

This challenge/prompt can be taken as a pure DP or a DC x DP (Batpham) one. If u wanna spice it up? You can even mix in other fandoms too! Go wild!

This challenge/prompt can be taken as both an art or a writing one, whichever you'd prefer. I tried to make it so all days can be both drawn and written with the given prompts (at least one of the two). Hope i managed it well enough.

As February is mainly know for Valentine's it will contain a few romatic prompts but most can be taken as platonic. For those not comfortable with writing or drawing romance: feel free to leave out that half of the prompt or even skip that day, no pressure.

Also let's not forget about the other half of it: winter. So stuff associated with it like cold, hot drinks, winter sports and more-

Birds (Ángel/Krester)

There’s a nightingale singing outside the window. Krester listens in silence, the book of European birds open on his lap. It’s a song he’s never heard before, strange and sweet, like the foreign tongue of the words his love sings under his breath when he thinks no one is listening.

Krester is sitting up in bed, not yet under the covers, not yet drowsy enough to lay his head upon the pillow and try to sleep. And he’s alone, the light shining from under the door telling him Ángel has no intention of sleeping for now. The lights are on; but it’s nighttime outside, and no birds should be singing. Like his love, the nightingale doesn’t seem to care.

This winter is cold, and Danny needs braces, and she can't make him quit band. She haven't seen him this happy in a long time.

(Her parents didn't get a new contract in three months, and the stash she hides in the closet gets smaller.)

She doesn't need much.

She doesn't need orchestra. It only gives her more time to get a job, or do something actually productive with her life.

She is 15, she isn't a child, and there are bills to pay and meds to buy and a brother to keep warm and alive.

There's snow on her eyelashes, and a lick in her wall, and the world is cold and biting.

It's okay. She can't take it. Other mammals don't eat so much during the winter. She can take it.

Other people have it worse.

She can take it

Poem (Ángel/Ramiro)

Ramiro thinks it’s probably past midnight. He should be asleep right now, getting what rest he can before he has to wake up the next morning and do everything all over again. Working for the Ballesteros family has proved more demanding than most other families he’s worked for, though it should be the opposite considering there are only two people whose demands Ramiro has to meet.

But oh, how demanding those two people are.

The lady of the house is bad enough, but her son is perhaps even worse. Ramiro isn’t sure whether Ángel is more or less demanding now that they’re lovers, or whether he can still view him as his employer when he finds his way into Ángel’s bed so often.

Are they even lovers? Ramiro is no stranger to the casual relationships between men, the unspoken agreement to fulfill a need without inviting danger in the form of attachment. But Ángel calls for him so often for the smallest of things; he pens Ramiro’s form in the sketchbook Ramiro bought for him; Ángel in turn buys him books and asks if he likes them, engaging in conversation about them even when Ramiro can see he isn’t very interested.

For God’s sake, Ramiro’s written him love letters. Ángel promises he burns each one as soon as he’s finished with it, but he sometimes lies with such ease that Ramiro can’t see through him. Ramiro almost wishes that he doesn’t burn all of them, that there’s one special letter that Ángel keeps somewhere secret, somewhere known only to him. Maybe the one where Ramiro wrote that terrible love poem.

He sighs, deciding where to place the first line of this new letter. Writing to Ángel is a practice he saves for these past-midnight hours. He’s not sure why: maybe it’s because he has privacy here, he knows no one will bother him for some task or find out his secret. Maybe it’s because this is the time of night he sometimes spends in the man’s bed; maybe he wants to be reminded of him while they are apart, to feel close to him somehow.

Day 6: smug

(The Cyclist AU)

The librarian at the front desk is the same one Jason asked in his first day at Amity Park.

She sees him enter, and immediately there's that smug smile is on her face.

“Come here again, I see,” she raise an eyebrow. “You really like the library, I see?”

He's not sure what she mean.

“Always come here,” she continues. “Don't have a library card, don't look at books, only look at good girl like you are Romeo and she's Juliet?”

He can't help but blush. “We're not like that –”

Her hand slaps the counter in a loud noise. “Romeo die. And so did Juliet. Jazz is a good girl. You don't go make her feel uncomfortable, young man!”

What the– he only think, as the terrifing harpy turns back into the sweet little grandma she looked before.

“We can make a card now. Not a problem.” She stand up and call someone to seat at the desk, and drug him back to the back room.

“Now for the card,” she says. “I need to ask you questions. Please answer honestly. I know if you lie.”

(He's got a feeling that she's like a feminine version of Alfred.)
