FEBRUARY PROMPTS.

Prompt-ary is a February Prompt Challenge with Valentine’s Day and Love-Themed Prompts from February 1st up until the 14th of February. Feel free to participate, if you love prompts & love!

Love is in the air—and on the page. 💌 In honor of Valentine’s season, I’m dedicating this month’s writing challenge to all things romance.

Fentonic 2024 - A February Danny Phantom, Art/Writing Monthly Prompt

Heya fellas! As I seen February did not have a monthly prompt yet for DP so I created one just for the kick of it! I made on for MLB with a very specific theme last October and I enjoyed it a lot so i thought i'd create another one, this time for DP as am mainly drawing for this fandom these days.

This challenge/prompt can be taken as a pure DP or a DC x DP (Batpham) one. If u wanna spice it up? You can even mix in other fandoms too! Go wild!

This challenge/prompt can be taken as both an art or a writing one, whichever you'd prefer. I tried to make it so all days can be both drawn and written with the given prompts (at least one of the two). Hope i managed it well enough.

As February is mainly know for Valentine's it will contain a few romatic prompts but most can be taken as platonic. For those not comfortable with writing or drawing romance: feel free to leave out that half of the prompt or even skip that day, no pressure.

Birds (Ángel/Krester)

There’s a nightingale singing outside the window. Krester listens in silence, the book of European birds open on his lap. It’s a song he’s never heard before, strange and sweet, like the foreign tongue of the words his love sings under his breath when he thinks no one is listening.

Krester is sitting up in bed, not yet under the covers, not yet drowsy enough to lay his head upon the pillow and try to sleep. And he’s alone, the light shining from under the door telling him Ángel has no intention of sleeping for now. The lights are on; but it’s nighttime outside, and no birds should be singing. Like his love, the nightingale doesn’t seem to care.

This winter is cold, and Danny needs braces, and she can't make him quit band. She haven't seen him this happy in a long time.

(Her parents didn't get a new contract in three months, and the stash she hides in the closet gets smaller.)

She doesn't need much.

She doesn't need orchestra. It only gives her more time to get a job, or do something actually productive with her life.

She is 15, she isn't a child, and there are bills to pay and meds to buy and a brother to keep warm and alive.

There's snow on her eyelashes, and a lick in her wall, and the world is cold and biting.

It's okay. She can't take it. Other mammals don't eat so much during the winter. She can take it.

Other people have it worse.

She can take it

Birthday Coffee ☕️

February 2, 2025 / Short / Word Count: 980 / 🔥 Makeout Session

From my Feb '25 Writing Challenge Masterlist:

"I thought you’d forgotten me." / "Never."

Staring out her open kitchen window, barefoot and with coffee in hand, she thinks about him. It's been years they have been apart. The letters, phone calls, and video chats, they all have helped to fill the void, but that void may never be entirely full - not without him.

The only thing that will fill the void is his true warmth, his caressing touch, the way he'd press a kiss to her forehead, like they would be doing that for the rest of their lives.

She sighed; he is her birthday wish every year.

It's her birthday, but it's just another day without him. A normal day of reading, cooking, and watching the sunset. That's what she planned for her day, even if she couldn't celebrate it with him, she would still try to make the best of it.

The coffee she drinks is warm to the touch; it warms her insides as the hazelnut taste slips into her stomach. This morning is wonderful, and peaceful. Birds are chirping, she is taking in the fresh air.

Then she hears a knock.

Slightly tense and slightly curious, she sets her mug down and makes her way towards the front door, her robe slightly fanning as she walks. Her slippers scuff against the hardwood, oversized, but at least warm.

When she opens the front door, she is breathless at the sight of who is in front of her with a smile spreading across his features.

It's him...

Him.

A look of shock crosses her face, her hand reaches her chest in effort to try and slow her super-fast heart rate. He is still as tall and he was before, about a head and half taller than her. His curly blonde hair still stood out despite his effort to keep it reined in. His calculating yet soft eyes, as blue as the sky, still sparkled in the light. His stubble from days, if not weeks of traveling, shown that he was in a rush to make it.

On her birthday.

She doesn't wait a second longer before wrapping her arms around his neck and jumping so he can catch her thighs, wrapping her legs around his torso.

"You're here." She sighs in his neck and takes in the scent of him. He's wearing the cologne, the one he wore to their first date, their second... all the way up to their first night together, their engagement, their wedding, and every special occasion in between.

She didn't forget the smell, she always craved it, the mahogany musk; but smelling it here, smelling it now, did something to her physically. His fingers fell like fire on her robe and skin, and his breath in her hair and on her neck felt like longing.

She pulled back to look in pools of blue that are his eyes, emotion swirling about in them. Love, adoration, lust.

"You're here." She whispered again, mostly to herself as she was trying to convince herself. She smiled up at him.

"Of course, I am. I wouldn't forget your birthday." His deep voice rumbled from his chest to which she felt it.

He pulled her back in the embrace except this time kissing her. It still felt like their first kiss. Soft, wet, tongues playing tag, butterflies in their stomachs, fireworks going off all around.

Except there actually are fireworks going off all around.

Wait.

Her next thought is faded as he puts his face back into her hair, as if trying to learn the smell of lavender by memory like his life depended on it. He let out a sigh that turned into a growl.

"I missed your smell." He said, reverberating his voice again. This time it was her turn to moan as he started to kiss her neck and suck in the places, he knew all too well would make her go to mush.

"Fuck baby, I missed those little noises you make. Shall we go inside so I can get more of those out of you?" He asked meeting her eyes as if asking her permission to enter her house.

"Yes, lets." She smiles at him, but he doesn't want to let her go. He bends down to pick up his belongings with her in his arms, like he's showing off his strength in the sexiest way.

He eases them inside, puts down his belongings, then sits her on the counter in the kitchen right next to her forgotten, now cold, coffee.

He wastes no time before his lips find hers again, his hands weaving around her waist to the back of her neck and then back down to her thighs.

Her hands run through his hair, tugging, and pulling the strands in every direction making him moan in her mouth.

"I thought you'd forgotten me." She admits breaking the kiss and meeting his eyes with her longing ones, hands still tangled in his hair.

"Never." He said before picking her up once again and taking her to her bedroom.

She is woken up by her racing heart.

It felt so real.

She is panting as she checks the other side of the bed which looks like it hasn't been slept in. She doesn't remember the last time she slept next to him.

Him.

Her dream was about him, it always is. She reaches to her nightstand to check her phone.

5:20am 2/2/2025

She sighs before setting her phone back on the nightstand. Her birthday. If only he were here to celebrate with her...

It was just a dream.

People don't come back from death...

Silence fills the room as her breathing evens out. The sun starting to peak through her curtains.

Beep. Beep.

Her trance is broken at sound of the coffee machine kicking on. She swings her legs around, stretches, then grabs her robe and walks to the kitchen barefoot to get a fresh cup of coffee.
