How about Grusha dating someone who has a bunch of Eevees and gives him a Glaceon? I'm new to this whole requesting thing.
⤷ 〝 new pokémon. 〞
➞ pairing : grusha x gn! reader
➞ summary : you , an eevee enthusiast , give grusha a glaceon.
➞ genre : fluff
➞ cw / other : none!
➞ a/n : yes i have made a full out eevee team before.
❝ grusha ❞
— ♥ you’d taken a trip to the farther side of the mountains to seek out the latest addition to your eeveelution collection—glaceon.
— ♥ sure, you could’ve just evolved an eevee yourself. but you figured that your team could use a bit of a workout, and the cold climate filled with tons of ice type pokémon would do just the thing.
— ♥ after catching a couple or two, you made your way back home—stopping by the glaseado gym.
— ♥ finding him in the lobby, you rushed up to talk to him.
— ♥ he’d asked about your expedition, if you’d caught anything and the like. then you told him you had a surprise.
— ♥ you handed him an ultra ball. he sent you a questioning look and let out the pokemon inside.
— ♥ the glaceon immediately chirped and slinked over to grusha, pawing at the cloth of his pants. he knelt down carefully, letting the pokemon into his arms.
— ♥ “is this for me?” he asked, you nodding in reply. he lowered his scarf fully from his mouth, smiling. “it’s a perfect addition to my team.”
— ♥ you knelt too, grusha scooting closer to your presence. “thank you. it’s only fair that i give you a pokemon too, so…”
— ♥ and then he gave you one of your favorite eeveelutions as a shiny (he’d caught it and had been saving it for you), which you responded with a short kiss on the lips as thanks.

I noticed there were some Eeveelutions that GameFreak forgot to give collars to, so I fixed them. You can send the check to ***** I accept hard cash too, thank you Ken Sugimori.
Individual posts with my thoughts on each design below!!! Everyone is welcome to draw these, change these, spread them, burn them, idc!!! The idea is out there, free to spread and breed anew!
[Espeon] [Umbreon] [Leafeon] [Glaceon]
#eevee#eeveelution#pokemon#espeon#umbreon#leafeon#glaceon#redesign#I don't actually believe in “fixing” art or character designs I'm just really normal about Eevee and their -lutions#and i always found it odd they dont have neck features when literally the first trio hammered the design aspect perfectly.

Shiny hunting is so funny to me personally because it will either make me grow to really appreciate a pokemon or hate it like,
After catching nearly 500 Abra, I’m so endeared to this little thing. They’re sleepy, they’re sweet, they’re like if a bug was a mammal. I love them, my shiny is following me and I constantly talk to it
Eevee??? One of my favourites from when I was little and Pokémon was new??? Bastard dog. I dread hunting it. So small I can barely see it, flees on site. Constantly breaks my chain. Overrated. Hides its terrible personality behind its cute looks like that togepi in that one anime episode
#I’m not sure which game would be best to shiny hunt Eevee#US/UM??? Let’s Go??? ScarVi???? PLA????#wait until they’re featured in a PoGo community day or ScarVi Mass Outbreak????#the last one would be the easiest but god knows when that will happen#I need seven. I have a shiny espeon and glaceon

eeveelutions but if they continued the theme of adaptability from eevee...?
inspirations under the readmore!
vaporeon: based on those chunky old scuba suits+otters+fish that can survive in different environments...
jolteon: solar panels+the idea of turning your own energy into electricity??? or something like that...
flareon: fireproof suits(the little "mask" on their face/the markings on their paws)+the color black absorbing heat(so i gave more dark spots)
espeon: yes they have an exaggeratedly big head on purpose bc theyre based on the adaptability of the brain :) i wanted the idea to be that the gem on their heads is small but no matter the size of it they can use it to channel their psychic powers...
umbreon: adaptations of a lot of nocturnal animals!(big eyes=tarsier+night vision+some racoon features)
leafeon: the adaptability of weeds, specifically dandelions in this case :)
glaceon: kind of basic but i wanted to give them a look like theyre dressed up in a winter coat also inspired by animals with winter coats themselves!
sylveon: yeah i honestly had nothing so i just kind of played around with the """dragon slayer""" fairy tale concept???
#pokemon#eeveelutions#vaporeon#jolteon#flareon#espeon#umbreon#leafeon#glaceon#sylveon#some of these arent my best but! im happy with others so....#Again not claiming to be an expert on this biology stuff or whatever so....#my art

_________________________ Disclaimers _________________________
*One poll per user means that if I've reblogged more than one of your polls, I'll only use results from one of them. The criteria I went for was the poll with the the least theming (i.e. shiny, region, or type) and the most votes (bigger sample size)
**For the purpose of this post, I counted regional variants and mega evolutions as separate species. I also counted all three Paldean Tauros's as a single entity. All regional variants counted towards the generation they were introduced in. All Mega Evolutions counted towards Gen 6 (Kalos).
For type totals, I pulled the numbers from Serebii and subtracted any duplicates based on the above criteria. Alternate forms counted for any additional types, but nothing that repeats types.
I.e. Arceus/Silvally counted as 1 for all (unique) types. Castform counted as 1 for Normal, Fire, Ice and Water. Oricorio counted for Flying, Electric, Fire, Psychic and Ghost. Etc. Etc.
All the above pokemon only counted for (overall) type total if the specific form was represented.
I.e. Arceus/Silvally/Castform counted only for Normal unless a specific form was mentioned. Oricorio counted for flying and the corresponding form's secondary type.

Two commissions made for @daroachie, both being his OC becoming real (designed)
One is Fabian, a smeargle whose tail lacks the fluid the species use for paint, he pursued making cooked and baked goods, using his dry tail almost like a food brush instead!
The other is Erena, a glaceon who is the main antagonist of Daro's story, you can read it here! c^^
Creative Process:
First commission is of Fabian (done in may), most of his lore was already set before, including his outfit which Daro had already doodled (left) which before starting I drew while pretending I didn't know what a smeargle looked like (right)
then came my genuine attempt
I choose to give Fabian a lil' red nose (like Rudolph) based on Daro's sketch (something he said was just him misremembering the pokemon)
I wanted the piece to involve Fabian doing some kind of multi-tasking, his hands on one thing while the tail is busy with another
it took a few drafts before landing on the version that became the final pic
Second commission was of Erena (done in august), it's been a long time coming considering her role and the fact her gf became real first
Daro notes for the design were just that she has a ice arm, and that she had "gremlim energy"
I started by drawing not her, but Sio and Cerys first (the main Daro OCs) so to use them as reference of how she'd contrast with them, especially Sio, who has something in common with her
designing process went by smooth, since Sio has more angular features than sylveons usually do, I thought Erena could then have more curled and rounded parts
most of my focus was on the face, I wanted her to have a meanine kind of look, using Jessie TeamRocket as reference for the eyes, plus I was dead set on giving her mouth a little "Lupin the 3rd"-type curve, Daro wasn't sure on it at first but now he considers it very important c^^
alongside a render of her standing on all fours, I wanted to do a pose that showed her "in action" of sorts
I first did the sketch that became the render, but before deciding on it I wanted to do another attempt, for a pose that also showed her back, which I thought could have unique markings kinda like a tattoo, unfortunately that pose wasn't working out
(unshaded version)
last detail was adding a black spot in Erena's ice arm, the arm was made after she got wounded, that spot is then is a trace of that wound
bonus cerys:

I've always looked back on the johto remakes fondly, as I know most people have. they're very beloved games, and for good reason! they brought johto to life on the ds and added lots of wonderful new features. pokemon fans have long since considered them to be the best remakes in the series, and I think they deserve that reputation. however, I've been replaying pokemon soulsilver the past few days and I've been coming to realize that they still suffer specifically because they're johto remakes.
my main issue with the johto games, a problem that continues to haunt their remakes, is that the variety of pokemon available is very limited. if you want to build a full team of 6, then most of your options are likely going to be pokemon from kanto. in the specific context of gold and silver, this makes sense. they were designed as sequels to the original red and green, with the primary hook being that 100 new species of pokemon have been discovered. the original 151 were extremely beloved, so it makes sense that they would continue to be featured prominently in gold and silver. that way, whenever you did find a new pokemon, it would be exciting for the player! I understand the approach that gamefreak took with the original johto games given this context.
the problem is that most johto pokemon just... aren't very good. most of the new pokemon have very poor stats - made worse by the fact that a significant portion of them are baby pokemon. on top of that, many of the ones that are good are often inaccessible until late in the game; skarmory isn't available until after you get the 8th badge (in an optional route that many players are likely to skip, no less), and tyranitar isn't available until mt. silver, the very last location you get access to. even some of the new pokemon which are mediocre at best aren't available until the post-game; houndour and slugma can only be found in kanto despite being johto pokemon, and misdreavus - the only other ghost type besides the gengar line - also can't be caught until mt. silver.
because many johto pokemon are unusable on a team, whether due to poor stats or inaccessibility, your team is most likely going to consist of kanto pokemon. again, I understand why this is the case given the context that the games were released in, but I find it frustrating! I want to build my team around the pokemon native to the region I'm playing in, and I feel my ability to do so is being limited!
so, did heartgold and soulsilver fix this? not really. the same problems mostly persist. one of the only saving graces is that some of the formerly weak johto pokemon received evolutions in gen 4. and you can obtain some of them! however, most of them are locked behind the post-game once again, and some of them are unobtainable entirely without trading. for example, there's no good reason that you shouldn't be able to evolve eevee into leafeon or glaceon in these games, but you need to trade it to diamond, pearl, or platinum to do so because there is no moss rock or icy rock in johto. they could have added them, but they didn't.
it frustrates me because the context these games were released in was different from that of the games they were remaking. technically, they didn't need to remake them; all johto pokemon were made available in gen 3, albeit many of them were locked behind the paywall of having to buy far too many games and accessories. the primary reason for these games to exist was to make them easier to obtain. it wasn't like firered and leafgreen, which were made specifically because the majority of kanto pokemon were completely unobtainable in gen 3 due to the gba not being able to connect with gb and gbc games.
speaking of which, it feels like they didn't learn their lesson from firered and leafgreen. one of the primary causes of frustration in those games is that you are completely unable to obtain any non-kanto pokemon until the post-game, for the sake of being "faithful" to the originals. this was a problem because they already weren't faithful to the originals, as frlg featured new mechanics from gen 3 such as abilities, but I digress. with hgss, the fact that gamefreak intentionally limited which pokemon you can access until the post-game feels like another attempt at being "faithful" to the originals, but they didn't even commit to it as hard as they did before. in frlg, if you maxed out a golbat's friendship, it would attempt to evolve into crobat every time it leveled up, before stopping prematurely. in hgss, you can evolve yanma into yanmega by teaching it ancient power and then leveling it up. if you want a togekiss though, too bad, because a shiny stone isn't available until after you beat the champion.
by this point in the pokemon franchise, I don't think gamefreak needed to remake gold and silver with faithfulness to their original context. hoenn and sinnoh were both designed to be new and refreshing, so it was reasonable for fans to expect each region to have its own identity, with its own pokemon being featured prominently. they could have adapted johto to suit this new convention for the series, but they chose not to, and I can't help but feel that heartgold and soulsilver suffer as a result.

Fun fact about the Eeveelutions
After Gen I, their evolutions were made to showcase new gameplay features!
Gen II/Espeon and Umbreon: Their time-based friendship evolutions showcase both the new day/night cycle and the new friendship mechanics
Gen IV/Leafeon and Glaceon: Their evolutions via the Mossy and Ice Rocks highlights the new location-based evolution mechanics of Gen IV (the other example being the Mt Coronet magnetic field evolutions)
Gen VI/Sylveon: Used to highlight the new affection mechanic as well as the new Fairy type. Although Sylveon is the only Pokemon to evolve via having affection points, it's still a very useful mechanic that gives you a lot of in-game benefits. Eevee also needs to know a Fairy-type move in order to evolve into Sylveon, which showcases the new type.

What other “special” line of Eevee are there?
I'll try not to list too many! There's many more than the below. Each eeveelution has MANY different lines.
Vaporeon:
Royal - Notably a deep, royal blue color. Their face fins don't have the ribbing structure holding them up, so it drapes next to their face instead. 7/10. Doesn't really lower their quality of life, but their face fins are a lot more delicate and easy to tear. Fine if pet-only, but not battling.
Lotus - Often more green in color, but not exclusively. Their key feature is with their tail fins, splitting and overlapping. 4/10. Makes swimming harder.
Flareon:
Charcoal - black flareon! Unlike shinies, albinism and melanism can be bred for. 8/10. Just a good ol flareon with dark fur. Score would be higher, but there's some issues with in-breeding, which isn't as bad of a problem anymore thank god.
Oh My Fluff - yes that's the actual name. They're bred to have more brown fur and are EXTREMELY fluffy, looking more like an eevee. 2/10. Their fur is HELL to manage and while flareon are fluffy, the fur on the their torso is typically short and not long. This messes up their heat regulation. Susceptible to heat stroke. How do you mess up so bad that FIRE TYPE can get a heat stroke???
Jolteon:
False shiny - bred to have that greenish color of a shiny. Not an actual shiny tho. Fairly easy to breed due to color variation and p harmless tbh. 9/10. I kinda don't care if they scam people lmao. Quality of life doesn't suffer genetically.
Elegance-Style - distinctive trait has their usually spikey fur draping down instead. 10/10. Looks goofy, but a p harmless line. This line is weaker fighting wise tho.
Jolteon in general actually has p okay lines.
Since I'm NOT AT ALL being brief, more below the cut for the other eeveelutions.
Espeon:
Lavender-Point - you may see this trait on other Pokémon, but the "point" gene gives Pokémon darker fur on their face, ears, paws and tail(s). This line has darker purple at those points. 10/10, entirely harmless. Looks cool. This gene shows on eevee! Although at that point it's a darker brown or black, not lavender.
Twin Tail - has a fully split tail! While typically harmless, I've heard of breeders splitting the tail a birth if it doesn't have a perfectly split tail :( 5/10
Snow - an albino espeon! Contrary to popular belief, not all albinos have red eyes. This line is noted for having white fur and blue eyes. 3/10 because this line often ends up with bad hearing issues and are very sensitive to the light... which isn't good for an espeon.
I've honestly got SO many more on espeon.
Umbreon:
Moonlight - selectively bred to have have very pale, nearly white yellow rings. Very pretty. 9/10. Linked to odd lethargy? But they're just a little more lazy and sleepy.
Starlight - another albino! Pure white fur, purple-blue eyes. Rings are tactile visible but are also white and not very noticeable unless it's dark. 5/10. EXTREMELY sensitive to the sun. Tends to have eyesight and hearing issues.
Halloween - their rings are more orange than the per usual yellow, more noticeable canine fangs. Bad history with being used in illegal, to-death fights. Wildly believed to be more aggressive, but this is false. 8/10, bad history, but not a bad Pokémon.
Umbreon and espeon face less issues than sylveon. The feelings involved to evolve are a LOT less strong than the ones needed for a sylveon. Emotional manipulation tactics aren't typically used on them. They're usually just treated well.
Leafeon (has the least amount of lines):
Bright Eyes - blue or green eyes! Not... really much else to them. 7/10 for eye sight problems.
Spring time - hybrid line! Often crossbred with other grass types, specifically flowery ones, to get leafeon with flowers. 9/10, doesn't typically cause issues.
Glaceon:
Princess - noted for paler, bluer coloration (similar to a shiny). The ribbons on the side of their head swirl in a curl like pattern. 4/10. They tend to have pretty bad joint issues, especially when they get older.
Snow - surprisingly, not an albino! White fur, very pale baby blues where they should have darker markings. 9./10, very pretty. Sensitive to sunlight.
Both leafeon and glaceon have false shiny lines.
Sylveon:
Flower - their bow is feathered into a several splits, forming a full circle that looks kinda like a flower. Their coloration tends to lean more peachy.
Butterfly - two sectioned bow that looks like a butterfly wing. They lean more purple in coloration.
No rating. The lines themselves don't have genetic issues, but the trauma they're put through is 100% not worth it. There's very, VERY few breeders that do this ethically. I do not trust a SINGLE sylveon breed line except for albinism and melanism since those are popular for ALL eeveelutions and don't require strict sylveon/sylveon breeding.
I could honestly talk about these breed lines all day. I see them a LOT at the daycare.

hello there hi! the name's Fog I'm a zoroark and I live in opelucid city with my human partner and his dragon partner and like a lot of other friends. my human let me borrow his face so I could take the others out battling to earn enough money to buy a laptop because it's really hard to use his phone with claws. my pronouns are she/her unless I'm in disguise and then it's whatever works best for the illusion!
our current battle-approved partners are Emmy the leafeon and Ada the glaceon and Basileus the politoed and Fish the ninjask and Vanilluxe and meeee but only when I'm not pretending to be the trainer. here's more about them. sometimes other friends join us though! and we crush our enemies' will beneath our feet!

TOXIC AND MONSTEROUS: The Dangers of Breeding.
Eeveelution look-a-likes to Venomous Beasts. Pt. 1
So I was watching Truegreen7(totally go watch him by the way) and I had made it to his "What If Eeveelutions Evolved AGAIN? 2" video. And an idea suddenly hit me.
What if people bred multiple breeds of pokemon to resemble the Eeveelutions, and the ones who bred them had such Toxic standards they wanted these pokemon to be, that it made them evolve into monsterous forms?
separate pokemon bred to be like the Separate eeveelutions, with their own evolutions. the evolved forms all gain the poison type, to represent the treatment for the species to meet the toxic standards of those that bred them, as well as becoming Mythical creatures, preferably those that are at least somewhat feline in nature.
Vapormew(Water/normal)(a cat pokemon bred to somewhat resemble Vaporeon, the end of its water resistant fluffy tail has a Hard paddle-like fin) -Vaporpent(Water/Poison)(this pokemon stands as tall as a Mudsdale, its previously fluffy fur around its neck and on its tail has hardened and molded into hallow, specialized inflatable swim-gear on its chest and along its feline body. this not even mentioning its most notable feature, its long, snake-like neck, paired with Retractable, Venomous fangs)(a Serpopard)
Joltimeow(Electric/normal)(a cat pokemon bred to have a Passing Resemblance to Jolteon, its Tail has been made to be Curled up into a High tensioned Bun with a Sharp point to make up for how Jolteon don't have visible tails)- Jolticore(Electric/Poison)(Joltimeow whose Tail has reached the breaking point in tension, suddenly lose control of them as they whip out uncontrollable, lashing the pokemon violently. the sudden pain has caused the pokemon to evolve in response. The fur of its tail has become a elastic, rubber-like carapace, with a Sharp, Pointed Tip, resembling a Stinger. a Strange Yellow Fluid drips from the tip.)(a Manticore)
Flaremrow(Fire/normal)(a Bulky cat pokemon bred to Pass as a Flareon, its Thick fur often catching an Unhealthy amount of dirt and debris. No matter how hard groomers try, they can never seem to remove the strange, Thorn-like debris that seems to always be caught in Flaremrow's fur)- Flaretus(Fire/Poison)(the dirt and debris that's been collecting it its fur finally reached its breaking point as strange thorn like growths sting it. the pain of being constantly stung have caused it to evolve so its growths form outside its fur, which has now hardened and formed into a Club-like shape making up its entire tail, resembling a Orange Cactus. when its tail smashes into something, Purple smoke billows from the seems of its armored fur)(Cactus cat)
For the first stages, I had their names resemble the corresponding eeveelutions names, but having the -eon part of their names being various words for a Cats Meow. Meow, Mew and Mrow!
The Breeders Toxic standards have been met with Poisonous, Monsterous results with their Evos, turning its Venomous Mythical Creatures.
