— ♥ the incident of his career hadn’t just affected him physically, a mental toll was in state along with it including his bit of possessiveness for you.

— ♥ he can’t help it. after all, you’re on his list of most cherished. and as cheesy as it sounds, he’d hate losing someone so precious to him as he’d lost his occupation.

— ♥ so when he sees this person shamelessly hitting on you, of course he’s going to step in and say something.

— ♥ glaseado mountain has a few forms. sometimes calm, sometimes sharp and unforgiving as if mad at the people climbing its skin. grusha’s cold persona towards the person embodied that.

— ♥ would probably threaten to pokémon battle. just because he’s an ice type gym leader doesn’t mean that he’ll just have ice type pokémon on hand every time, so he’d most likely use varieties including those you’ve traded with him.

— ♥ he’ll be levelheaded as much as he can until the other person initiates a snap or an aggressive show, but either way in the end he’ll definitely come up to you and ask if you’re okay.

— ♥ expect a brief hug after, and maybe a few kisses or two. he’s not too big on pda, especially if some people come by to watch him battle and he’s waiting for the area to clear up.

— ♥ but the best part is him being in denial about being clingy afterwards. that’s when teasing him is essential.

— ❀ he’s the type to be suspicious and accusatory first, ask later.

— ❀ will cross his arms and be sassy. maybe something like, “is this person bothering you, (y/n)? i can deal with ‘em.”

— ❀ when he’s jealous he’s obvious. he’ll pull you in more, scowl and throw sarcastic comments at the other person, and he’ll suggest to go somewhere else.

— ❀ WILL throw in a regular pokemon challenge to the other if it gets to that point. like might as well make it a tradition or smth to go up to someone and challenge them whenever lmao ,, wait that already happens

— ❀ arven would also grasp onto your arm or sleeve subconsciously, afterwards backing away and apologizing after the person’s gone for just grabbing your arm.

— ❀ “i hate it when people just keep persisting on someone even when they’re obviously taken…” arven would sigh, “…but hey, it means you’re hot stuff if people keep coming to take you away from me!”

— ❀ then he’d offer to go on a picnic or something, whatever you’d like. he’s just glad that you’re there with him, no matter what.

❝ jacq ❞

— ☾ the other person isn’t gonna take jacq seriously. i mean, he does look like he just woke up, with his laid back attitude and ruffled clothing. but the charm in it was something you could admire, and clearly the other person didn’t see that.

— ☾ he’s a lil irritated. not just because this person’s competing against him, but also because they have a solid chance.

— ☾ they looked better and dressed better, they were smooth with talking, and in no way did jacq feel as if he could compete properly against them.

— ☾ you seemed to sense his thoughts, holding his hand comfortingly. his heart, as if a weight was pushed off of it, immediately lightened.

— ☾ THEN he had the confidence to say some things. and after you both left the scene, a semi-heartbroken person left behind, he’d kiss you on the forehead thanking you for everything.

— ☾ sure, it was just a small scenario that doesn’t hold much significance in one’s eye. but it strengthened your relationship in the end, and as dorky as it seems, it mattered.

— ☾ jacq’s a good person. he just needs you there to remind him of it. give him one compliment and he’ll pay back tenfold.

Are you kidding me! I love this so much! I have been WAITING for someone to request Grusha, so i thank you for this adorable request! To add an extra little bit of cuteness i am giving you a shiny Applin because he deserves it! I also sprinkled in some general head cannons in there.

Grusha Relationship Headcannons | Galarian Reader

Let’s get the Applin thing out the way first: When you presented the Applin to him, he was EXTREMELY confused, why are you giving him a grass/dragon Pokemon? But when he sees your flushed face looking away from him with your arms extended out to him with the little green Applin - The gears start turning.

Then it clicks, you are confessing to him! Finally remembering you are from Galar and not Paldea dude turns bright red. He’d read up on some of the Galarian customs to make you feel more at home in this new region and he did find out about the Applin confession. Though usually the Applin was red. Did you find a shiny one just for him?

This man is speechless, he literally cannot utter a word over his own shaking breath, But he will take the Applin once he’s back down on earth again. And he is not letting the lil guy go.

He is cold all of the time. Even when away from his gym, he is cold. It could be the middle of summer on a beach and he’s there in a winter coat, fuzzy hat and gloves. And yes, he has bought you both matching scarfs, even if you don’t wear it, if you just have it that's enough for him.

Speaking of matching scarfs, you also have matching gloves, hats, warmers, anything. For some reason he just loves matching with you. That reason? Because I said so. That being said he’s also an opposite kinda guy too. If he’s wearing white, you’re in black and vice versa. Essentially its: Colours = Matching, Shades = Opposites.

Will not take you snowboarding unless you practically beg him to take you, or you already did snowboarding or any other winter sports before meeting him. You getting hurt is the last thing he ever wants to happen, so expect him to dot on you alot.

Grusha worries about you ALL OF THE TIME. If you are not in the same room as him, he worries. He is by no means possessive of you, he just cares so much about you that he tends to come off as clingy.

PDA is a no to him. He does not like being touched in public, he can’t explain it, he will rub your arms if you get too cold or give you his scarf though so don’t worry about any cute form of affection like that. 

In private though, kisses, hugs, cuddles, dancing, laughing you name it. Privacy is his thing.

Speaking on privacy, your relationship didn’t get announced until you were closing in on your 1 year anniversary. Thanks to his fame as a gym leader and a snowboarder, his personal life is something he doesn’t get to have.

You are the only thing he has left to keep him grounded so please let him keep you to himself whilst he still can. Before the Media gets they’re grubby paws on you.

The first time he visits your home region is when your relationship goes public. Raihan ain’t about to let this go unposted!

Jealousy is a difficult thing for him. Not because it makes him difficult but because he doesn’t exactly… experience it. When Grusha sees you uncomfortable or someone invading your personal space, he doesn’t go into jealous boyfriend mode, he goes to protective boyfriend mode. Asking if you are okay, if you need anything, if you want to go somewhere, if you want him to leave ect ect. He may not even register that the other party is even there at all.

When he met Leon it was an… interesting experience to say the least. Leon legit spent the first hour of your meeting walking into everything because he was so busy asking Grusha questions about Paldea. Surprisingly enough, Leon is one of the few people from Galar he keeps in contact with. The others being Piers, Melony and Milo.

The only time he ever showed visible irritation was to Raihan. Leon’s questioning didn’t bother him at all, Raihan’s constant social presents however? That got under his skin.

If it wasn’t for the fact you were with him; when Raihan announced your relationship on live he almost punched him. Dude just revealed the most important detail of his personal life to most of the Galar region and new spreads FAST! Things are gonna boil up in him but, instead Grusha just gives him the cold shoulder for the rest of the trip's duration. They have made up since but he still won’t talk to Raihan unless he absolutely has to.

Sleep. He sleeps all the time. If he isn’t training, talking to the media, battling, or spending time with you. This man can be found sprawled out on his stomach, one arm under his head, the other dangling of the bed, legs in some kind of cross pose on the bed, hair a mess

He is an indoor person when it comes to personal time. Grusha spends so much of it outside; being able to lay back on the sofa with you encased in his arms, warming up by the fire is his ideal pass time. 

Cannot cook for anything. He will set the oven on fire and most likely burn his hands trying to put it out. Baking on the other hand now THAT is something he can do. Rika still hasn’t forgiven him for beating her at a gingerbread contest.

He didn’t confess first but he did say I love you first. This man didn;t even realise he had even said it, he was so in the zone just admiring what was happening and boom he said it and now he matches a cherish ball. 

Sleep schedule, what's that? Grusha sleep is completely random. He could be up at 4am and asleep at 12am: Or he's asleep by 10am and awake at 3am the next morning. Sometimes he sleeps for 3 hours, sometimes 15 hours. It's honestly a game trying to guess how long he’ll be out for.

With that said however, he is NEVER late to anything important. Whether that be a day out with you, a gym challenge, a meeting. Sometimes though, if he’s in a bad mood that day he will be late on purpose. 

Sour food is his enemy, his sour tolerance is in the negatives, he might actually die if you gave him toxic wastes so for your sake and his stomach please don’t. 

Hand kisser, that is how he greets you, says goodbye, randomly shows affection. Grusha will lift your hand up, lower his scarf if he’s wearing it and gently kiss the back of your hand then won’t say anything after.

Not a note leaver. If you are asleep and he needs to go, he is waking you up to tell you he is going and that he loves you. “No piece of paper is worthy of his love for you.” At least that's how Tulip put it.

Athletic as hell, he snowboards for Arceus sake! He’s gotta have some athletic ability. Grusha’s climbing ability is honestly scary. This man could give Sneasler a run for its money

You Get Seriously Injured

Nemona

Just because she can be reckless, doesn't mean you can

When Nemona hears about what happened to you, she can't process the information at first

Once she does, she immediately rushes to where you're being treated, her heart racing

Nemona is told that your injuries are really serious, a broken leg and the fact that you need a lot of stitches

Her loud personality disappears in an instant when she hears this, and she feels like she can't breath

It feels like time slows down as she sits in the waiting room

Finally, when she's allowed to see you, Nemona isn't sure she's ready to find out what state you're in

Seeing you laying unconscious in a hospital bed makes her want to cry

There's a cast on your arm and a bandage wrapped around a large portion of your leg

She remains silent as she sits by your hospital bed, holding your hand with a frown on her face

She stays with you until you wake up

When you do, she starts lecturing you on how you should be more careful, and how worried she was about your safety

You can see the tears in her eyes as she speaks

Finally, she allows herself to cry as she gently pulls you into a hug, careful not to cause you any pain

Penny

Penny is terrified when she hears the news of what happened to you

She doesn't say anything, but there are tears welling up in her eyes as she rushes to see you

It makes her even more worried when the nurse tells her you're in surgery

She can barely think as she takes a seat in one of the waiting room chairs

She can barely breathe as she waits to be told any news about your condition

Finally, after what feels like forever she's allowed to see you

Seeing your leg wrapped in a cast makes her worry even more, despite her relief that you're still alive

She sits next to your hospital bed, hoping you'll wake up soon

Once you do, she almost starts crying tears of joy

She silently hugs you, just glad to see you open your eyes

When someone runs up to him in his gym, he wasn't expecting to hear the news that you had been so injured

He immediately makes his way to the hospital, his thoughts jumbled and his head filled with worry

He finally makes it to the hospital where you were being treated, trying not to have a breakdown

When he's finally allowed to see you, he almost can't hold in the things he's feeling

He sits by your bed for who knows how long until you finally wake up

He can't help but stare at the cast on your arm, wishing he had been there to keep you safe

When you finally wake up, he doesn't cry, but he wants to

He simply talks to you, making sure he wasn't dreaming, that you were still alive

You can take protective Grusha for my cold dead hands.

My absolute favorite head Cannon to write is that You were there for Grusha after his accident, depressed at the lowest point in his life, healing over injuries and going to physical therapy, and that's why he's so protective over you. He doesn't like how needy he is for you, but he can't help but feel the poison in his heart and overall uneasiness when he doesn't know where you are.

What if something were to happen to you?

Especially when you're with other people. Especially if it's people he doesn't know or you just met. It's not that he doesn't trust you. He trusts you with his life. It's other people that he doesn't trust.

Add a reader who is a little bit of a pushover doormat in the mix and you got a storm.

Grusha, either your boyfriend or someone who's crushing on you, being your scary dog privilege, noticing a guy practically undressing you with his eyes. And when that same guy looks up, he sees death's gaze staring into his soul. If looks could kill, that man would have an icy grave.

Grusha never asks for affection out loud even though he secretly craves it. He may seem grumpy and asking you what are you doing but he never stops you ever in fact he's so quick to ask why you stopped.

Warm light bathed the room as the soft crackles of the fireplace broke the silence. You sat curled up in the corner of the couch with a book, waiting for Grusha to come home.

Snow was coming down in thick flakes outside the window as you heard the front door give a soft click.

You smiled and turned to see your boyfriend coming home from a long day at the gym, a multitude of snowflakes littering his sky-blue hair.

Grusha shuffled about the foyer shedding his heavy winter gear, and the sagging slouch of his shoulders told you that it had been a long day indeed.

He simply plopped down on the couch next to you with a huff.

You closed your book and set it on the coffee table then reached over and squeezed his hand, rubbing your thumb soothingly over his knuckles. He squeezed back lightly, his icy fingers clinging to the warmth of your palm.

“Long day?” you opened your arms and leaned back on the arm of the couch.

“Something like that.” he mumbled and immediately accepted the silent invitation, melting into your arms and laying his head on your chest.

You wrapped your arms around him, lightly tracing soothing lines on his back.

“Wanna talk about it?”

He closed his eyes and sighed deeply, listening to the steady thudding of your heartbeat.

“There was a rude interviewer at the gym today… it was like she was purposefully trying to get under my skin with her questions.”

You simply hummed in acknowledgement, running your hands through his silky blue locks, massaging his scalp. His chest rumbled against yours as he made a noise of approval, melting further under your fingers.

“Mmm that’s annoying…”

“I held my tongue so she never got the reaction she was obviously trying to get, but it was still aggravating.”

You continued to chat casually about menial things, the words seemed to flow as naturally as breathing.

Grusha could feel his sour mood melt away with every passing word, your sweet voice always put him at ease.

The usually cool and collected gym leader was like soft putty in your hands as soon as he felt your loving touch. You were his cozy hearth he longed to return to after every draining day at work.

In your arms, he was home.

He would never admit that to anyone but you. It’s you who is his greatest weakness, the loving warmth that melted his icy exterior.

“...oh and a little girl asked me if I was a prince today.”

You giggled, “What did you say?”

“I told her I was, but she had to keep my identity a secret.” he smiled gently as he recounted the scene.

His big dark blue eyes and long fluttering eyelashes gazed up at you, quietly admiring the smile on your face.

“Well she’s right y’know, ‘cuz you’re my super-duper handsome prince charming.” you spoke with an sickeningly sweet tone and made a sappy kissy face dramatically as you spoke.

He simply scoffed and rolled his eyes but the lovestruck smile on his face never left.

Eventually as the conversation dwindled he stopped responding, his breaths growing slow and steady as he dozed off, the exhaustion finally catching up to him.

You simply smiled and pressed a kiss to the top of his head, stroking his hair softly as the fireplace crackled gently in the background.

Brassius

You'll have to drag him away from his work otherwise he will just be hunched over painting the whole day instead of taking breaks to eat and hydrate. Is also a bit stubborn when it comes to taking a break, but if he sees that you're getting upset or frustrated then he'll put his paint brush down.

Constantly watching you. When you two are on dates or just doing something like grocery shopping together, his eyes are watching your every movement. You're his muse and he doesn't want to miss seeing something that can spark his inspiration.

Likes to go to museums with you. Museum dates are something he always likes. And when he travels due to Gym Leader business, he's sure to take you with (if you want to, it's fine if you don't), but he's going to show you other museums in other locations.

Grusha

Wants to go snowboarding with you a lot. He's unable to do it professionally due to his injury, but he's happy to go on a date where he snowboards with you. There're some bittersweet moments with him while snowboarding, but he assures you that he is very happy to have these moments with you.

Grusha tries to seem like he has things together when he's with you. He's actually rather stressed out, but he doesn't like you seeing that side of him. Pull aside and hug him and he'll give the deepest sigh of relief because he really needed the hug.

Not the most emotional person. His scarf hides his face, so you really only have his eyes to tell you how he's feeling. But even with his emotions not really on his sleeves, he always gives you the softest looks.

Hassel

Lots of soft music playing throughout his house. Or even when you visit his classroom at the school, there's some soft music in the background. Even though he didn't go into music, he still very much loves it still.

Remembers lots of things about you too. Knows exactly what drinks you like and how you like to eat certain foods. Anytime he notices you're a bit stress or anxious, he's there with a comfort item he remembers you mentioning.

You get to witness his grumbling when he's doing schoolwork and he ends up smearing ink or pencil on his hand because he's left-handed. Just little pouts on his face because he thought he was careful this time. It's very adorable.

Larry

He is so tired and overworked all the time. And he's not going to hide his tired appearance from you. He won't complain (too much) in front of you, but he's not going to try and seem like he has his crap together in front of you all the time.

Real big on staying home and hanging out. He doesn't mind if you want to go out and do something, but he prefers staying home and relaxing. Doesn't mind doing typical house husband stuff either. Yeah, he worked all day, but he doesn't mind male wife-ing it up for you.

Either falls asleep too easily or cannot sleep no matter what. If you two are watching TV or something, then he'll end up falling asleep halfway through. But when it comes to actually laying down in bed, he is awake. His body is tired, but his mind is awake as he just holds you close and let's his eyes rest at least.

hello could you write a one shot on Grusha where he falls in love with a shy challenger who is chilly and owns fire pokemons please

When you first challenged Grusha at the Glaseado Gym, he thought he could easily brush you off like snow on his shoulder.

You just didn't give him the best first impression.

For instance, he witnessed you shivering nonstop as you headed over to the gym test. Despite being all bundled-up and having a fire-type at your hip, you couldn’t stop chattering your teeth and stuttering while the the gym representative explained the test’s rules.

It wouldn’t surprise him if you caught a cold before you even completed the test. But by some miracle you passed with flying colors, although it didn’t seem like the smoothest trip down for you and your strange reptilian motorcycle Pokémon. 

Even though it looked pretty powerful, he figured you only brought it to show off. He didn’t know if it was a dragon-type or not, but if so...the battle certainly won’t work in your favor.

When you finally met the ice-type trainer, he discovered you were rather shy, looking flustered when he told you not to let the test completion “go to your head”. And you didn’t seem to have much confidence in yourself, speaking so quietly that he barely heard you over the howling wind and feeling nervous about battling him.

Regardless, you were determined to win...and so the match commenced.

Only then did he see the spark in your eyes as your strong fire-types melted the competition; they defeated most of his own Pokémon without a hitch. Even his Cetitan went down fairly easily, which opponents before you have struggled with.

And at the finale of it...he felt like the wind got knocked out of him when your Skeledirge’s Torch Song defeated his Altaria in a single hit. That attack surely would’ve incinerated the battlefield if not for the high winds and snowstorm that brewed during the final fight.

But the turbulent weather was no obstacle for you.

Grusha was absolutely floored by your performance, finding himself shaking your hand in congratulations and getting excited about how much fiery passion you’ve put into this battle-

Only to stop and regain his composure, tugging the scarf up his face more to hide his growing blush as he remembers you still needed the ice badge as proof of your victory. You were very much overjoyed to receive it and take a picture with him to commemorate this event.

Even after you departed for the next gym, he couldn’t stop thinking about you.

For some reason his chest felt..warm. And it lingered long after you left, too. He wasn’t sure what it was, but Ryme certainly knew and lightly teased him on the matter.

Though she backed off when his reaction got heated, saying you only impressed him with your battling skills and nothing more.

Grusha thought that would be the first and last time he saw you.

Surely the freezing mountains would deter you from ever coming back up here. The small towns didn’t have much to offer, so he couldn’t think of a single reason that you’d willingly return.

But much to his surprise, you came back as one of Paldea’s newest champions, stunning the usually coolheaded gym leader as you walked through the doors.

It turns out you’re revisiting each gym on behalf of Geeta to survey the performances of its leaders: which basically meant you’re gonna rematch all of them.

That made him feel uneasy.

Of course, he knew the chairwoman of the Pokémon League wasn’t mean or cruel, but she had quite the high standards for gym leaders. And he couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if he failed to meet her expectations.

It honestly felt insulting that she’d send you, a challenger he could never hope to beat, instead of showing up here herself, but he couldn’t blame you for following orders.

His only fear was being dismissed over his failure. 

If he couldn’t be a professional snowboarder or gym leader..what else could he do with his life?

“It’s not like a pass or fail test, Grusha.” You try to reassure him, although in-battle you could see the distress in his eyes as he tried to change things up by including a Weavile on his team. 

Clearly he’s been training them a lot since you left, as they were able to take more hits from you. But your team remained full of even stronger fire-types, with the addition of a Ceruledge/Armarogue that was once a brave little Charcadet--now a mighty knight of flames that defeated Altaria.

You grinned excitedly as its ice tera jewel shattered, although it disappeared as Grusha recalled his ace. He stood there shocked..like a frozen status condition was inflicted on him.

Part of you suddenly worried that you made his gym fight look like a cakewalk, considering it was supposed to be one of the toughest in Paldea. You knew he had some kind of falling-out with his snowboarding career...but surely your victory won’t put him out of this job, too. Geeta wouldn’t do that to him.

After calling out Arcanine to keep you warm, you approached the shellshocked trainer, hands in your pockets. “H-Hey um..if you’re worried about what Geeta will say, I wouldn’t panic.” You smiled shyly, trying to remain upbeat. “I think you did great. I’ll tell her nothing but good things about our match.”

“You don’t have to sugarcoat anything.” He insisted. “I’d rather she knows the cold hard truth about my performance...but as frustrated as I was during the fight, I felt..inspired.”

“..r-really?” You blinked several times in surprise, feeling warmth spreading across your face.

“Yeah, I mean...I didn’t think I was cut out for this kind of job. But seeing you and your Pokémon working together has rekindled my passion. So..thank you, [y/n].” He smiled underneath his scarf. “I mean that.”

“Awh, don’t mention it.” Chuckling, you stepped forward to shake hands with him once more. “I’m glad I stopped here first.”

“Wait, you..didn’t revisit the other gyms yet?”

“Nope.”

Grusha’s blue eyes widened in surprise. “Huh...but I thought you hated coming up here. You looked miserable before. I figured my gym would be the last place you wanted to go.”

“I don’t hate it here. It’s cold, yeah, but..with my fire Pokémon I can handle it.” Smiling, you briefly looked to Arcanine, who nodded as it nuzzled your arm affectionately. “The journey is worth it..i-if it means I get to seeyouagain.”

Even you were surprised at the bold words coming from your mouth; but you then realized the crowd from before was still hanging around the battle grounds. And he was just staring at you now, not saying a word. 

So you coughed nervously let go of his hand, turning away. “F-Forget that. I uhh...gotta go. I’m on a very tight schedule so I’ll leave you be-”

“You know you don’t have to visit me only for battles, [y/n].”

Stopping short, you looked back at Grusha, feeling guilty when he frowned at you for attempting to ditch him. You felt even more embarrassed than ever before, but he did make a good point.

He’s more than a gym leader, and he clearly wanted to get to know you beyond Pokémon training.

“O-Oh I know..I just---hey!” You jumped as Arcanine nudged its head against your back, pushing you closer to him. It only stopped when you were just a few feet away from each other. You could see the amused smile on his face, your own turning bashful. “S-Sorry. I must’ve sounded like Larry back there, huh?”

“Yeah, a little. I understand, though..I wouldn’t want Geeta to nag at me either.” Grusha grimaced. “But whenever you’re finished assessing the other gyms, maybe we can meet up and grab a coffee..or hot coco...or whatever you want.” He suggested, a light blush growing on his face. “Or if you’re sick of the cold, we can go somewhere else.”

“Sure!” You agreed readily, rubbing your gloved hands together. “I’ll message you on my Rotom phone when I’m done. Until then...um..I should probably get going before she does nag at me.”

“Go on, Champion. I’ll be waiting.” He winked before he turned and left the battle grounds with his Cetoddle in-tow, heading back inside the gym building.

The whole way there, his heart was hammering nonstop. It was beating faster than ever before.

Idk if this has been done or not, but could I request a Pokémon SV X reader who has a Hisuian Pokémon team (Especially Hisuian Arcanine because it's a good fluffy volcano dog and who doesn't love that) and whilst the SV characters are freaking out over the past Hisuian Pokémon the reader just causally says something along the lines of "Oh yeah, I got sent to ancient Sinnoh for a while"

Author's Note: So here is one of the Pokémon things. I'll have one for Steven hopefully soon.

When sleeping with Grusha one must always be prepared for the cold.

Cold nose, cold toes, cold fingers, and cold ears.

And yes, this is before you get into bed as more likely than not your heater isn’t the best and a fireplace can only get so far. 

(Please pray for your pipes, also it’d be good to have like half a dozen fire pokemon laying around. I recommend Coalossal just cause.)  

Grusha is a man who has had his dreams stripped from him, a very telling part of that comes from his line, “Get ready to feel the icy bite of reality.” 

So coming home to you after a long day means the world to him. An empty home is almost never fun for a heart in pain.

When Grusha gets home he stomps off the ice and snow off his boots at the door with his Cetoddle right beside him. 

Cetoddle watches him and decides to mimic his trainer with a silly gesture of “wiping his feet” 

So when they both get into the house Cetoddle is off to find the snacks while Grusha uses his built in sensor to find you and give you a big (cold) hug.  

Pulling you close he rocks the two of you side to side before sticking his freezing fingers under your shirt

After your near death experience thanks to Grusha you make him a hot steaming cup of hot chocolate to warm up his hands. 

Anyway while he unwinds and mentally logs out at the kitchen table, you go ahead and put on a hot shower for him. 

It is mostly for your benefit though because if you don’t warm this baby up he’ll turn you into an icicle. 

So, while he washes up you get his pajamas ready, grabbing the long silk pants and long sleeve for him. 

And because you're there you strip and change as well, adding a fuzzy pair of socks.

Yes, I know. It’s controversial but bear with me.

By the time you’ve finished changing and prepping for bed Grush wanders out of the bathroom with steaming trailing after his feet and his hair up in a towel.  

You let him change and head back to the kitchen to fix up some food for the both of you. 

By the time dinner is done you’ve fed Grusha and he helped you feed your pokémon as well. 

And now finally it is time for a good sleep. 

But it isn’t, because Grusha is secretly an ice type and his toes are ice (this is what the socks were for) 

Unfortunately that doesn’t stop from feeling the cold though your pajamas

Grusha does love to cuddle and is always willing to be either spoon big or small. Or even having you lay on top of him. 

Overall, Grusha is a 8/10 sleep buddy simply because while he may be cold most of the time he doesn’t move an inch.

This is such a cute idea! I incorporated my own personal headcanon that Grusha’s Cetoddle is a service Pokemon, though I admit my experience is practically nonexistent on that subject.

Grusha Sees You Being Affectionate With His Cetoddle

- Where Grusha goes, his Cetoddle is not far behind. While it’s not a Pokemon he actively uses on his team, Cetoddle is a very important part of his life. It helps support him in day to day life after his accident. If it becomes harder to walk, his injury causing more problems than usual that day, Cetoddle is there to lend support. If Grusha experiences a flashback, Cetoddle is there to ground him. You try not to distract it from it’s job most of the time, though when it passes you by you offer it a kind smile or a pat on the head.

- During and before Gym Battles, Cetoddle is stationed next to you from outside the arena, happily cheering along with you. There’s no denying the little Ice-type is adorable, with its round eyes and cute smile. Now that it’s got some time off, it wouldn’t hurt to play with it. Just a little bit. You are not built to withstand a face that cute.

- Before the match, Grusha looks over at you and can’t help the blush that stains his cheeks. You’re quietly building a little snowman, no bigger than your hand, Cetoddle at your side as you roll each ball to size. It’s jumping up and down as you laugh affectionately at the little Pokemon. Gently, you place the snowman on top of Cetoddle’s head. You must feel Grusha’s eyes on you because you look up, your own face tinged pink from being caught goofing off, and wish him luck. Grusha manages to blush even harder. So bad, you could probably see it from the bottom of the mountain.

- If his opponent comments on it, Grusha rolls his eyes and says it’s because of the cold. He’s not very convincing. Just when he calms down, you let out an audible laugh, and he’s bright red all over again.

Grusha Romance Headcanons Pt. 1 : Pre-Accident

Warning: Not sfw, questionable tense...slight angst. 

A/N: Doing several parts. Your relationship pre-accident, post-accident and if you met him after everything happened. 

General:

Before his retirement Grusha was arrogant, impulsive, daring and slightly immature. Chances are you came second to his snowboarding career more often than not and he wasn’t the greatest boyfriend. 

Of course he loved you, but he was also a globally successful athlete, highly ranked with lots of demands on his time. Grusha also received more sponsorships than the average pro-snowboarder because of his good looks. He was rolling in endorsements and his agent was constantly interfering with the rare moments of quality time you got with him. However, Grusha was very upfront about these things from the beginning. 

He does feel bad that he isn’t be around more, but also Grusha at this stage in his life probably would have argued that if you don’t like it you can just leave. He made it clear that snowboarding is his priority and making him feel bad about not being around would just piss him off.

However, Grusha tries to make it to important events and would happily reschedule a training session, photoshoot or interview, but the week before competition and competition weekends are non-negotiable. If your birthday falls around the time of the winter games, you’ll be celebrating on the side of the slopes in spectator booth. 

And he expects you to be at every event he competes in. Grusha would get pouty when you’re not there and often complained that you not being there hurt his performance. 

If possible, he would take you to all of his global competitions. Grusha would make sure to put you in super nice hotels even when he had to stay at the athlete accommodations. Whenever he had some down time where he wasn't practicing or talking to the press, he'd visit you to see the local sites and try delicious food. After the compettion ended he would stay and travel the entire region with you before he had to get back to training, making sure to pack in as many fun experiences before he inevitably had all of his time sucked up. 

The good thing to know is that Grusha doesn't play games, so if he was dating you he’s serious about you as a partner. He wouldn’t subject such a hard relationship on someone he didn’t think would stick around. 

With that in mind you probably got really close to his family. Sitting with them in the stands, traveling with them etc. 

Your family can come to his competitions too. He doesn’t mind, more supporters plus he’s pretty sure he wants to marry you at this point so it only makes sense that he gets to know your folks. You provide a warmth quickly closing in on the intensity of the one he feels for snowboarding and he wants to make it up to you for all the sacrifices you’ve made for him. 

He can take you for granted from time to time, and he’s not always fast with the apology, but he loves you and doesn’t know what he’d do with out you. Once he’s cooled off he’s trying to talk things out even if he isn’t the best communicator. He has a tendency to be a little too blunt sometimes and doesn’t always understand exactly why his words upset you, but he actively tries to be better. 

And honestly chances are the two of you bicker more than you ever actually fight. Most things aren’t serious and the serious fights tend to be about the same things.

Grusha never got too enraptured by the attention or fame, but he appreciated being acknowledged for his skills and was prone to showing off when he knew other people were watching. 

He was never shy about boarding up to the side lines and planting a kiss on you. 

Chances are he gets a body pillow that he brings to competitions after you start sharing a home because he can’t sleep without you.

Grusha was (and still is) a huge cuddler.  Nothing is more romantic than snuggling with your on a cold winter night in a cozy chalet. 

His courageousness extended into many parts of your life. Grusha's favorite dates, were hiking, camping going to amusement parks, fun competitive activities and of course snowboarding. He would most definitely teach you. He also likes skiing for something a bit less strenuous. Also he's a great ice skater (skateboarding too but Grusha loves ice skating dates. He even knew how to do quite a few moves. 

Grusha was known for his blunt and witty sense of humor. Very nonchalant about it and half the time he's not even trying to crack a joke but he has a natural wit and playfulness that keep you laughing.

Grusha used to (still does) get impatient when he’s horny. 

When he was young he had a tendency  to rush foreplay if you didn't ask him to slow down.
