Falcon's Fury — North America's tallest free-standing drop tower. Manufactured by Intamin, this 335-foot drop tower is the tallest point in the whole park. It's unique in that, at the top of the tower, it rotates your seats 90° degrees before dropping you 310 ft. in a free fall facing the ground. The worst/best part is that the wait time at the top is randomized! You can be up there from 1-5 seconds, which as a rider scared of heights feels like a life time!

summary : the morning the two get to the ranch only to discover the stay is longer than intended , Bucky meets her family some great and some honestly pissed him off , as if the seeing her judgemental family her ex was also there but still in all that she ignored it ready to show bucky they things that made her love coming home shitty extended family or not

warning: majority of this is fluffy some shitty people but bucky is there to keep her smiling

“ wakey wakey kiddo” Clint's voice boomed throughout the room sending her startled form out the bed. “ we’re leaving in 20 minutes. I was also informed to tell you that  Bucky will have food and coffee  on the jet” he chuckled seeing her on the floor glaring up at the man.

 “ gotta ask laura if she would enjoy the widow life , ” she grumbled heading towards the bathroom .

 “ nah she loves me too much and so do you ,  just not like how you love  bucky” he teased .

 “ Everybody knows I like bucky?”she came out a minute later.

 “ everyone but bucky , enhanced sense my ass” he muttered. 

“ it’s 5 am even steve knows to not wake me up so early bird man what is your deal ” she whined looking at the phone. 

“ Get dressed, you can sleep on the jet” he called, pushing her back to the bathroom with the clothes the girls were so kind to pick out for her the night before.

“ when did you become so bossy?” she growled 

 “ Oh shut up , get dressed,” he chuckled . 

“ told you she doesn’t like to be woken up , she didn’t stab you either that good” nat assessed. 

“ she didn’t get a chance” he winked.

 “ Nat Your MALE best friend is going to be visiting the bermuda triangle so say bye bye” she walked out rubbing her  eyes and yawning before shooting the man with another glare.

 “ Nice knowing you barton , you grumpy sit down” she saluted the man before taking the hair brush in her hand. She sat as nat tackled the bird nest that was her bed head eyes dropping slightly  .

 “ Ten more minutes” she mumbled before Clint lifted her up, making her yelp before walking out the room and down the hallway , Nat following after.

 “Are you excited to see your family kid?… Y/n … is she .. she’s asleep” he turned to see nat standing trying to suppress her laughter as the woman on his shoulders let out soft snores .

 “ oh this little shit”he grumbled heading out to the jet . 

“ hey doll” bucky smirked seeing  clint carrying her onto the jet. 

“She’s still asleep” he grunted, placing her down on the chair as she stirred , waking up again. 

“ Here's some coffee doll,” the man smiled .

 “ hey thank you bucky , good morning” she beamed before taking a generous gulp. “ Where was my goodmorning “ Clint looked to her, arms crossed.

“ back in the room when you scared it out of me” she took the tupperware filled with food.

 “ Just friends my ass” he turned, seeing the two filled with adoration for each other . 

The trip wasn’t long enough when Clint landed the jet near her family's ranch before rushing them out .

 “ Enjoy , have fun  and I'll collect you guys in two weeks” he called a mischievous smirk as the two spun around.

 “ Did  he just say two weeks?” she asked.

 “ he did and apparently we weren’t told” he held up the phone to see the team texting them to enjoy the time off.

 “ I mean I have Stark's black card so the second week doesn’t have to be here” she held the black plastic up and a devious smirk on her face.

 “  I mean I could use a vacation” he chuckled, both turning to see her mother and father coming out smiles painted on their faces as they walked up the drive. 

“ Natasha just told me we have you both for two weeks isn’t that exciting,” her mother cooed.

 “ she is not getting that prada bag.. Hey mama , pops where is everyone” she smiled softly hugging them. 

“ Nice to see you sir , ma'am,” bucky smiled, shaking their hands.

 “ Son, call me frank” her father pulled him into a hug . 

“ and me beth , your aunt owes me fifty  for this” she giggled, hugging  her then him . “So good to see you both  but i must say seeing her smile this hour of the morning is strange, you must have the touch mr barnes” her father chuckled. 

“ Please call me Bucky or James, please both of you and I didn't wake her. It is my secret” he laughed.

 “ I aint that bad” she grumbled. 

“ doll loki is afraid to go near your room in the morning and i think Clint learned his lesson” he nudged her softly.

 “ he’s not wrong , i mean you nearly stabbed jack” her mother nodded.

 “ Well my dumbass brother shouldn’t have worn a mask” she rolled her eyes.  

“ Speaking of Jack , he  and Helen and Izzy and Maya are staying at a hotel along with the rest of the family.”  her mother smiled as she and her father cheered.

 “ oh give it up to you two , grandma is still staying here” her mother rolled her eyes. `` which one?” she whispered to her dad while Bucky smiled at the close bond the two seem to share. 

“ Her mother ,  so the evil one” her dad winced. 

“ Bucky ..baby you’re catholic right? '' she asked .  

“ I mean I was back in the 40s” He almost melted at the pet name. 

 “ She's going bingo Thursday  so Izzy will propose to Maya then  it will be just us as a family rest will be out ” her mother sadly smiled.

 “ Why do we have to entertain these assholes?” Y/N asked.

 “ Because they are still family, '' her mother shot back . 

“ Well they don’t treat us like that,” she shook her head.

 “ it's not even for the full week we can do it kitty” her dad wrapped his arm around her as they approached the house. “ your mama set your room up for both of you so bring your bags up and join us for breakfast” he smiled as she froze turning to her friend.

 “ Sorry I didn’t think we’d have to share a room for a week, nevermind two” she winced. 

“ it’s ok we bunked together on a mission and sleepover in the compound” he brushed it off pretending his prayers weren’t just answered and frankly he thought his acting skills were Oscar worthy at that moment .

 “ ok we can do this” she nodded before taking his hand in hers . 

“ Show me the way, little cowgirl” he winked, making her burst into laughter.

Thankfully the rest of the morning was quiet once they finished breakfast ,she helped her mom with preparing lunch while Bucky offered to help her father with some of the chores on the ranch. 

“ My , my a  little kitty has gotten into the kitchen” she heard the voice before she felt him lift her up swinging her in a bruising hug.

 “ Jack in the box” she laughed excitedly. 

“ Where is this fella who thinks he’s good enough for my little sister?” he puffed his chest and stood a little taller.

 “Behind you” her father chuckled as the two walked into the kitchen .

 “ holy shit that’s sergeant james barnes' ' her brother's tough guy act fell instantly.

 “ aww shit i owe mama 50” her sister izzy pushed past the men before hugging her sister tightly. 

“  Who else owes you money?” She turned to her mother. 

“ A couple of your uncles and aunts,” she shrugged, heading back to the food. 

“ So where are my future sister in laws?” she asked quietly. 

“ how good at you with controlling that little gift of yours” jack stood back shooting izzy a worried glance. 

“ Why are you asking?” she crossed her arms as the man gulped. 

“They’re outside with Eli. '' Izzy called  hiding  behind jack.

 '' as in the cheating ,  dick of an ex left me alone in a big city alone , that eli '' she felt the heat on her finger tips til a sudden coldness snapped her back to reality  .

 “ I got you, '' Bucky whispered in that voice, instantly melting the annoyance.

 “ fuck please never leave” izzy patted the man on the back 

.” yeah took us forever to grow out our  eyebrows last time  , he’s my best friend and helen's brother” he smiled sadly to his sister . 

“ KITTY” her head whipped to see the two women pulling her to their arms. 

 “ good to see you Y/N” his voice had the hair on her body standing like bucky could sense it pulling her to him and wrapping his arm around her waist tightly.

 “ See my sister the avenger pulled sergeant james barnes” Jack smiled brightly.

 “ Please, it’s bucky” he waved to them .

 “I'm a big fan, Bucky,” Eli smiled.

 “ Mr. Barnes to you son” he turned, ignoring the outstretched hand pulling the knife out of his back pocket . " i forget i had this , hey beth why do i help you with lunch my knife skills are almost criminal " he smirked seeing the man pale .  

“ I like this one,” her father beamed.  

“ Me too” Helen chuckled before shooting her own brother a glare.

“ So how did y’all meet?” Eli asked, taking his seat across , most of the family arriving. 

“ work dummy” Helen rolled her eyes. 

“ oh yeah your mom told us you took to being an avenger , what are you the secretary? '' her uncle joked.

 “ No, she is part of the team , she beast on a mission.. But always safe, super cautious "Bucky spoke up ,then he added seeing the worry on her parents' faces . 

“ I mean she's always been a spitfire,” Jack chuckled.

 “ yeah she beat up those boys that picked on you when we were kids” izzy high fived her little sister.

 “ You allow her to do that,” another uncle scoffed. 

“ I don't own her so she’s free to do what she wants ma’am” bucky laughed thinking it was a joke but from her expression , he wondered what else she hid from the team when it came to her own family.

 “ We thought it was made up, “ her aunt laughed as her shoulder tense. 

“ Is  your son  out of rehab yet oh sorry i wasn’t supposed to say that was i? is he out of that college for drugs ” her father asked as she and her sibling hide the giggles. 

“Hey bucky wanna see my horse? '' she asked, feeling the man's jaw clench and tension build throughout the table .

 “ Sure doll” he smiled softly when his eyes set on her . Almost pulling him out the door as they all watched judging like always . she barely got out the door before he pulled her to a halt .

 “ ok what the hell was that” he asked with an almost sad tone in his voice. 

“ I may be the black sheep of a judgmental as hell family. I know I should've warned you,” she let out a sigh, wringing her hands.

 " Is this why you don’t visit home much?” he asked softly.

 “ You cracked that code huh?, i mean even if she can be bitchy i still write to my grandma and my folks visit and i ring siblings regularly but the rest i avoid because i’m never good enough and I thought maybe with a boyfriend and great job would help nope” she sighed. 

“ How long are they staying for?” he asked, wrapping his arms around as she melted in his embrace. 

“ They leave in a couple of days which is too long” her father's voice rang out. “ you ok kitty?” he asked softly.

 “ I'm fine papa , we're going to bring bucky on my trail ” she smiled sadly. 

“ What is this kitty I keep hearing?” Bucky asked, smiling as her cheeks heated. 

“ oh she ain’t told you that one yet , ” her father chuckled . “ After the madness i’ll tell you “ he added before walking into the house.

 “ Let's go see these horses” she rushed off before he could ask her more.

 “ Oh no back here doll face ” he chuckled, chasing after her as her father watched from the front door with a smile so wide he couldn’t remember the last time he saw it so free on her face not a force one as she took the battering of their words  . 

“ he's a bit old for her, no? '' her fathers eyes rolled walking in they barely waited til she was out the door before the nit picking started . 

 '' yeah isn’t he like a hundred or something” eli added.

 “ he was frozen doesn’t count” her brother shook his head 

“ he makes her smile i don’t care if he is a thousand years old” her father almost snapped at the guest at the table. 

“ That job is so unsafe, people are gonna know she one of those thing ” her aunt shook her head. 

“Well ain't we lucky you ain’t doing it , she could be a lunch lady and you’d find a problem in it and ain't nothing wrong with her ” he looked at the woman .

 “What is your problem with Y/N? least she not a junkie or a dim witted whore like your kids '' izzy asked hating how it was alway y/n they would attack or show disgust at . 

'' You know what our problem is? She’s not even … ''. 

“ everybody stop yelling and eat your food” the elderly woman yelled, instantly shutting them up, eyeing the sneaking touches from her eldest granddaughter before the two went to eat their food. “ Sorry mama” and “ grandmama” were uttered around the table as the woman looked out the window  at her granddaughter running around smiling . “ she is very happy” she murmured as the rest ignored her words, bragging about their fake lives .

 

“ Here bucky bear is star , she is the best horse in the state nah in the whole of the US although i might be biased”she winked as she patted the mare’s side. 

“ she is a pretty one, star nice name ,it's cute ” he mused but  a black mane caught his eyes . “ Who's this?” he asked, walking toward the one across. 

“ Oh moon,  he's the new one , my pops rescued him , the previous owner said he ain’t nothing good but my dad sees the best in everything i think i get that from him” she smiled . 

“ he seems ok to me” he patted the horse .

 “ he’s misunderstood like someone i know” she mused only for the horse to kick the stall . “ You must be fed up there huh buddy” she mused.“ What do you say bucket wanna  see my childhood being little cowgirl and all that ” she walked towards the saddles.

 “ Lead the way doll” he smiled as she handed it to him but the minute the stall opened the jet black stallion made its way toward the almost stark white mare's head rubbing hers.

 “ oh you dirty dog come kicking a fuss for the ladies huh ? ” she chuckled pulling them apart as she led star out both getting them ready before she hopped up with ease.  

“ you make that too easy” he chuckled before not so gracefully getting on the stallion before she took head.  Bought passing the window as her father and brother almost fell over each other seeing bucky easily walk by . 

“ catch me if you can” she giggled before taking off down the trail as his horse followed  after .

  “ Hey, this guy is doing the work” he called.

 “ That's because I think he is  in love” she giggled, enjoying the feeling of the wind in her hair , taking full advantage given she didn’t get to do stuff like this back in the compound. 

“ he’s not the only one” he sighed following after her. Watching her so free and smiling wider wondering if he could get tony to get something like this on the compound just to see her look like that more often .

The Spider and the Soldier

Prompt: After a lot of back and forth, Natasha Romanoff and Bucky Barnes finally get married.

Pairing: Natasha X Bucky

Natasha runs around in panic. She was stressed about everything. On one hand she is going to marry the love of her life. On the other hand she is going to marry the love of her life. Dani gently rubs her shoulders. "Relax sestra, it's going to be fine. I promise." Dani helps her with her veil.

Natasha smiles slightly. "And you wonder why I chose you to be my maiden of honor." Nat points out with a smirk. Dani smiles back. "I want you to have this." Dani says taking off her dahlia pendent necklace and giving it to Natasha. Natasha looks shocked.

"But.. t-that's the necklace mom gave you..." Natasha says shaking her head. Dani smiles. "And I've always had it when I needed good luck." Dani says with a smile. "Besides, mom would've wanted you to have it."

Natasha takes a deep breath and puts on the necklace. "Thanks, солнечно." She says with a smile. Dani gives Natasha her flowers and Natasha walks out to where her bridesmaids were getting ready. These included Maria Hill, Yelena Belova, Aurora Rogers-Barton and Wanda Maximoff. Whilst Dani wore a crimson red dress, the bridesmaids were all dressed in vibrant pink.

Yelena smirks as she sees Natasha. "I can't believe the poser is getting married." Yelena says with a smirk. "Cut it out before I kick you out of my wedding." Natasha says crossing her arms before going to the others. "She is a poser though." Dani whispers in Yelena's ear. "I know right? Such a poser." Yelena whispers back.

Natasha smiles as she sees Maria, Aurora and Wanda. "Why don't you look stunning?" Maria says with a smirk. "I know right? Just gorgeous." Wanda says with a smile. "Dad's going to be flabbergasted, mark my words." Aurora says with a grin.

Meanwhile with the Boys

Bucky paces around the room. "Buck, it's going to turn out fine, I promise." Steve tries to reassure his best friend. "I'm just worried something is going to go wrong." Bucky admits. "Everything is going to be fine." Steve says softly putting a hand on Bucky's shoulder. "You love her right?" Steve asks.

"I do." Bucky admits. "Then that's all that matters." Steve says softly. Bucky nods. He then leaves to see his other groomsmen. Steve Rogers is his best man and he is wearing a dark blue suit. Sam Wilson and Clint Barton are his groomsmen. He wasn't close to a lot of people. The groomsmen wore light blue suits.

Hunter was also there as Natasha and Bucky's ring bearer. As their adopted son he is really important to the both of them. "Hey punk." Bucky says affectionately to his son and ruffles his hair.

"Hey Dad. I know you're probably nervous, but I've seen the love you and mom have for each other long enough to know that it's real." Hunter says with a warm smile. "Thanks kid." He hugs Hunter protectively. "You know I love you right?" Bucky says softly.

"I love you too, Dad." Hunter says still smiling. Bucky then goes to see Sam and Clint. "Hey guys." Bucky says. Sam smirks "We have taken the liberty to be in charge of being the two DJs, since you and Nat haven't planned that part yet." Clint grins "Yea, the Bird Boys."

"Assuming Dani won't kill me for not giving her the money because I lost a bet with her." Sam states. Steve shakes his head. "Dani won't kill you." "Exactly!" Clint and Bucky agree and Sam still looks nervous.

Natasha smiles as she sees Melina and Alexi. Though she had some trouble with them in the past but now it's all worked out. "I'm proud of you, honey." Melina says with a smile. Natasha smiles warmly at that.

Natasha then takes Alexi's arm and walks down the aisle. She's followed by Alpine and Liho who each charmingly carry a red rose in their mouths. Bucky is already standing there in shock at Natasha's beauty and grace. Clint is, as Aurora predicted, is flabbergasted at his best friend.

Natasha smiles as the Wedding starts. Nick Fury officiates. "We are joined here by two of the most remarkable people. Two people with a remarkable story of finding love. Two assassins healed by their extraordinary love for each other." Fury says with a smile.

"Now, without further ado, speak your vows." He says. "James Buchanan Barnes, I never thought that I could ever even love anyone, but after I might you I realized that could change. I could be an assassin and still love. I didn't plan much because I kinda want this to be over and I just want cake." Natasha says smirking at the end.

"Natalia Alianovna Romanova, I never thought that I could ever love someone the way I love you. You are my, Doll. Forever and always. You changed me to be a better person. I promise to be a loyal and faithful husband to you. And yeah, ironically I didn't plan much either cause I just want cake too." Bucky says with a smile. Hunter comes with the rings.

Fury than smiles. "Do you, Natasha Romanoff, take Bucky as your husband, through sickness and through health?" Natasha nods "I do." Fury speaks. "Natasha, please take this ring and put it on Bucky's finger as a symbol of your undying loyalty to eachother." Natasha does just that.

Fury then looks at Bucky "Do you, James Barnes, take Natasha as your wife, through sickness and through health?" Bucky nods. "I do." Fury speaks. "Bucky, please take this ring and put it on Natasha's finger as a symbol of the strength you both have had to overcome battles in the past and have to continue overcoming those battles in the future." Bucky does this with a smile.

Fury speaks. "You may now kiss the bride!" Bucky and Natasha kiss each other passionately. "Also if you hurt her you're screwed, Barnes." Bucky pales slightly at that. The crowd cheers and Dani screams with happy tears in her eyes. "That's my sister y'all!!!"

"Give me my money, Wilson." Dani says angrily. Sam runs to the DJ area with Clint and the two play Fairytale by Alexander Rybak. And Natasha and Bucky slow dance. It was odd to see Bucky dancing as he usually refused to.

Dani records this with a smile. Soon Wanda and Vision join on the dance floor, then Aurora and Steve, followed by Maria and Nick. Yelena and Dani start to salsa and Hunter joins his parents in dancing. Alexi and Melina also try to dance together.

It becomes a full on party and the happiest day of the Black Widow and Winter Soldier's life.

Chapter 6

You stirred at the sound of metal on stone. It was terrible sound, making you want to plug your ears.

The next thing you noticed was the pain in your arm. You winced, looking at the mess of bloody bandages. God you hoped nothing else happened, but you really hoped it didn't get infected. That would be just your luck.

The last thing you noticed was just how cold you were. You curled up, wrapping your arms around you in an attempt to get warm.

Your head was pounding, trying to remember how exactly you had gotten to this point. Right, you'd gone to Starbucks and walked home by yourself. Damn, you should've just made crappy at home coffee.

You could hear shouting, something that sounded possibly like guns being fired, and zapping noises.

Suddenly, there were footsteps outside of your cell. You looked up just in time to see two of the five get shot down while the other three were tripped with orange chains before being shot.

Bucky and Stephen entered the cell. Bucky was holding a huge gun in his metal hand, a knife in his flesh. He sheafed the knife to come and kneel by your side. "You alright doll?"

"Arm hurts." You murmured, closing your eyes again. "And I'm cold."

You winced as you felt your body jostling, Bucky picking you up in his arms. "Open a portal back to HQ. I'll alert the others on comms that we've got her."

You could hear a soft whooshing noise and then the air turned from cold to a bit warmer. You were laid down on a padded hospital bed. Stephen was gone and then back, wrapping you in a grey fuzzy blanket. He kissed your forehead softly before Dr. Banner came over with a tray full of torture devices.

"I have to go back and get the others." Stephen said to Bucky, "Will you stay with her?"

"Of course." Bucky said. You could hear that whooshing noise again and Stephen was gone.

"How are you feeling doll?" Bucky asked softly as Bruce carefully gave you a needle for a light dose of anesthesia.

"We're all safe?" You asked, worried about everyone you hadn't been able to see yet.

"Yes." Bucky said solid. "It's hard to lose when you have two extremely angry Gods on your side."

You smiled a little, thinking of Loki and Thor being furious. "I'm sorry. Was stupid going out for coffee."

"Not your fault. We're the ones who're supposed to take care of you." Bucky said softly.

"Ah good." Fury said, walking in. Though he was trying not to sound it, his voice was full of relief.

"She'll probably go under in about. . . now." Dr. Banner said, and everything went black.

*Later*

You came to what felt like seconds later, feeling a little fuzzy, but nothing hurt- yet.

You slowly opened your eyes and almost started laughing. It seemed that everyone had fallen asleep waiting for you to wake up.

Fury had fallen asleep in his hard chair, arms crossed over his chest, head hanging.

Tony and Stephen were fast asleep on the sofa, Stephen laying on top of Tony, their arms hanging over the side of the couch.

Thor was sitting on the floor, legs straight out, hands in his lap, head hanging as well.

Steve, Bucky, and Sam had piled together on the floor as well.

Clint's head could be see as he was curled up in the vent.

T'Challa was sitting backwards on the chair, resting his head on his arms on the back of the chair while Rhodey had his back pressed against the back of the same chair, knees tucked up under his chin, fast asleep on his arms.

Loki had fallen asleep standing up, legs crossed at the ankle, arms crossed across his chest.

You sat up, feeling just a little dizzy at the sensation, "Lokes?"

He stirred easily, walking out of his position to come and sit on the bit of space on your bed. "How are you feeling, my Queen?"

"Fuzzy." You said with a small smile, "Were you really asleep standing up?"

"It's an ability I've developed over the years." Loki said with a small smile.

"Is everyone okay?" You asked, worried for the health of your soulmates, "And my sister, what does she know?"

"Everyone is fine." Loki said, the smile turning into a smirk. "And your sister is here, though I think she's fast asleep upstairs. Wanda and the robot are with her. She knows you were taken and were hurt, but we told her not to worry. You'll recover in a couple of weeks without a mark if the green giant is accurate."

You leaned forward, Loki opening his arms so that you could snuggle into them. "Thank you."

"Anything for you my Queen."

They all took turns sitting with me, talking to me, or just being a comforting presence. I had explained to a select few like T'Challa, Clint, Loki, and Rhodey about what had happened in there, about how they were trying to find a way to end soulmate bonds forever.

But I couldn't share that with like Stephen and Tony or Steve, Bucky, and Sam. I just couldn't. Not that Steve ever visited for me to tell him anyways. Well, he stopped by to check in how I was, but he never spent much time with me.

Of course, there was always someone else, but I would've liked to have talked to Steve for more than ten minutes every day.

Fury was extremely busy, but he made sure that he always made time for me.

Bucky and Sam said that Steve was busy organizing training schedules and was barely getting sleep at night. I said nothing. Besides, I was really starting to enjoy T'Challa and Clint's company when they were together. I enjoyed hearing the stories of how they were once fighting against each other during the Civil War fight.

Loki was equally fun to talk to, especially if Thor or Stephen was in company with him.

Thor kept bringing up wedding ideas and finally, Loki set the binder on fire, making Thor almost cry. It was hilarious.

Then Thor had produced a second binder that was practically identical, claiming that he always knew Loki would set it on fire.

I giggled and then asked Thor if I could see the binder.

There was really a lot of cute ideas in here.

"You should go into this business Thor." You complimented, looking over his ideas for a beach wedding. It was absolutely beautiful, like something out of a movie. "You really have an eye for this stuff."

Thor beamed and Loki coughed.

"You know," You said after a moment, handing Thor the binder back, "I wouldn't mind marrying sooner than you guys plan. I don't. . . I don't think we have to wait the whole two years. I mean, it's up to you guys, there's eleven of you after all, but for me, I think I wouldn't mind at the one year mark or something."

"Yes! This is excellent!" Thor said excitedly. "So much to plan! What design was your favorite?"

"I really liked the beach one." You admitted. "Or the church one, but I don't think everyone is religious, so the beach one would probably be better. Especially since, you know, you two are Gods. I think it would be a bit ironic to marry the two of you in a church."

Loki chuckled quietly. "Very true my Queen, very true."

"Reindeer games, Point break, we need ya." Tony said, sticking his head through the med-bay doors. "How are you Penguin?"

You rolled your eyes. He'd started calling you Penguin after your show with the umbrella because that's what Penguin from Batman used as his weapon.

"I'm good tin man." You shot back, "Where are you guys going?"

"Short mission. Even shorter if the Gods come along." Tony said, stepping into the room to come over to where you were sitting. He took your good hand in his. "We'll be back before you know it."

"Okay." You agreed. He bent down to kiss your cheek and you returned the favor. "See you guys later then."

The three of them headed out, leaving you by yourself for the time being. T'Challa was back in Wakanda for the moment and Nick had left for space yesterday with Hill. They'd be gone for about a month. Stephen was training an onslaught of new magicians. The super solider trio, Clint, and Rhodey were probably going with them on mission. So that left you alone.

You settled back in your hospital bed, thinking about getting in a nap.

You weren't allowed to leave the hospital bed until tomorrow morning because Bruce had discovered a special device TYPHON had inserted in your foot that had damaged some nerves in your right foot.

You managed to get a few hours of sleep, though it was off and on. When you came to again, you heard voices outside the hallway and tried to stay awake in order to hear what was happening. Had someone been hurt?

". . .since then everything has been disrupted." Steve's voice wasn't particularly low, though not loud. "We're going to have to get things back to the way they were. Just the three of us then, I think."

Just the three. . . Steve, Bucky, and Sam? Meaning. . . without you.

"You'll have to say it in a way that won't, you know, piss them off." Bucky said. "But I agree, that's probably for the best."

You felt your heart drop in your chest. Bucky agreed?

"How soon?"

The third voice startled you. It was not Sam- but Nat.

The voices and footsteps soon faded away, leaving you uncomfortable and wishing you hadn't overheard it.

Maybe you were overthinking it.

'Since then everything has been disrupted.'

Well, ever since you'd came into their life, that was true. Things had certainly changed around the Avengers Tower, at least as far as you could tell. T'Challa, Loki, and Thor spent more time here for one thing. And I had started getting between the three of them. . .

'Get things back to the way they were.'

How? Would Steve not go through the soulmate bond with you?

'Just the three of us.'

But you had assumed that he was deeply in love with Sam. So why was Nat part of the conversation? Unless Steve just wanted to talk to Nat to get an outside point of view. That was the part that confused you. Surely, Steve and Bucky weren't sneaking around Sam's back with Nat?

You shifted uncomfortably in the bed. Did you tell Sam?

But maybe you were still overthinking things? Maybe they were talking about something else. Something like. . .

Like what Y/N? You thought to yourself. Your own parents didn't want you around, what makes you think just cause you have a soulmate bond with someone makes any difference?

Just your luck, Sam walked into the room a few hours later. It was near dinner time, and he had a huge plate of Mac and cheese, some baby carrots, a bowl of blackberries, grapes, and currants, along with a glass of milk.

"I would've brought you chicken fingers as well," Sam said as he put the plate down on the tray that you ate off of, "But I didn't want to overload you with to much food either."

"Thanks." You whispered, moving your fork around the cheesy pasta, but not eating it.

"You okay?" Sam asked, looking concerned. "You don't look to good. I can just get you some saltine crackers and ginger ale if that's what you need."

You shook your head, "I- I overheard something, that's all."

Sam was immediately wary. "What? Who? When?"

You looked at him and then away. "It was um, Steve, Bucky, and Nat."

"Oh? What did they say?" Sam's paranoia dropped for curiosity.

You repeated the conversation- the bit that you had heard- and then immediately voiced your worries for both yourself and him.

"I think you've got a misunderstanding there baby." Sam said softly. "Nat and Bruce are extremely in love. And Steve isn't the kind of guy to just drop a soulmate cause things get difficulty. Or even just a friend. He likes you a lot babe."

"But-" You fidgeted with the food a little more and then said, "What if he got the option of having his soulmate bonds. . . gone? TYPHON is trying to find a way to get rid of soulmate bonds once and for all. And then maybe. . . maybe without the soulmate bonds, he'll choose Bucky and Nat."

Sam was quiet for a moment. Now that you had put the pieces together, you felt sicker than before, pushing the food away.

Sam sighed quietly, moving the tray to the bedside table if you wanted to eat it later. "Let me see what's going on, okay? That doesn't sound like the Steve I know."

Sam leaned forward, kissing your forehead before getting up and leaving the room.

Well, Sam could do that. You had your own plans.

*Sam's P.O.V.*

Sam walked took the elevator to the meeting floor, where he knew most of the others were already going to be.

Upon entering the room, Bucky, Tony, Thor, and Steve were messing around with the hologram over the table.

"There you are, where were you?" Steve questioned, a cinch between his eyebrows.

"I was visiting with Y/N. Which, by the way, can I talk to you, Buck, and Nat real quick?" Sam questioned, jerking his head slightly towards the door.

Looking confused, the three of them followed Sam out into the hallway.

"What's wrong?" Nat questioned.

"Y/N overheard a conversation between you three." Sam said with a sigh before repeating exactly what Y/N had overheard and told him, and then letting the three of them know what she thought the conversation meant.

"Shit." Bucky cursed. "No, we were talking about the training of new agents. How after the episode with Sharon and the way fire gun everything went wonky. And that it should be the three of us training since Steve and I can take it and then Nat has a lot of experience with the trainees."

"I figured there was a misunderstanding." Sam sighed. "I just wanted to get the entire story so I had something to tell her."

"I'm not surprised." A new voice said from down the hall. They all turned to see her sister standing there.

"What do you mean?" Nat asked.

"Neither of us are exactly used to having people want us around. Except each other. So it would've been natural for her to immediately jump to the conclusion that Mr. Rogers here was talking about excluding Y/N from the soulmate bond."

Steve looked absolutely terrible and Sam put a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, it's not your fault Stevie. You didn't know she was awake and there was most certainly nothing wrong with the topic you were talking about."

"No, but ugh I haven't even been spending much time with her because of all the missions and reports. She probably does think I hate her. I need to go talk to her right now. Start the meeting without me."

Steve took off down the hall, booking his ass towards the hospital wing.

"I'm going to go and check on her too." Bucky said, quickly taking off after Steve.

"Well, let's get the meeting started." Nat said with a shrug, "Thank you Y/S/N for alerting us to that. You want to step in with the meeting? It's not really confidential."

"Sure." Y/S/N said with a shrug. "Sounds like fun."

"Where's Capsicle and Manchurian Candidate?" Tony asked when they stepped into the room.

"Oh they went to see Y/N." Nat said with a shrug. "There was a misunderstanding between them so they're sorting it out."

"Misunderstanding?" Loki asked with an ice cold edge to his voice. He had really taken after his soulmate more than Thor had ever seen him take to a person, except perhaps their mother and a little bit with Thor.

"Y/N overheard a conversation between Steve, Bucky, and I." Nat explained. "She took the words out of context and thought Steve and Bucky didn't want to be soulmates with her. Completely off, we were talking about the training mishap. But the words we used definitely were misconstrued. Anyways, they're down there talking to her. Steve said to start the meeting without him."

But before they could even finish contemplating Nat's words, Steve and Bucky came through the doors.

"Is something wrong?" Bruce asked, immediately getting to his feet in case he was needed in the med-bay.

"Yeah." Bucky said as Steve strode past the others to grab his shield. "She's gone."
