Facing your Husband seeing his disappointment and sadness in his Eyes for hiding this from him made you feel bad , you apologized "I am sorry"

Okay, I wanna talk about this scene and what it might mean for Loki and Mobius in S2.

Sure, they stood here so Loki could point at the panel showing all the Kangs fighting, and the full mural is meant to be the story of how the Time Keepers created order out of chaos, but what if it also means something else.

Let's look at Mobius first, then Loki.

Mobius POV

Mobius is standing with his back to a panel representing chaos and looking at one that represents order, showing the Time Keepers appearing as gods to shocked people below. Seems very religious and mythological, right?

Mobius had always believed in order and that what the TVA were doing, ripping people from their lives, was necessary.

He also has previously likened Loki's origins, which is literal mythology in mcu form, as similar to his own experiences in the TVA.

"If you think too hard about where any of us came from, who we truly are, it sounds kinda ridiculous."

Now, he knows the Time Keepers are fake, that he wasn't created by them. By this point in the episode, he's already acknowledged to B-15 that their gods are dead.

What he isn't aware of is who exactly was behind the curtain or that all-out war is coming. That's something Loki reveals to Mobius, showing him the truth in his blindspot (the panel behind him).

This revelation for Mobius feels pretty similar to how the truth was revealed to Loki in S1E1.

Mobius is also looking at a panicked Loki. He's seen him teary-eyed before, but not this distressed.

What Mobius sees before him is his fear, that Loki won't be able to escape the bonds of the sacred timeline, that he's doomed to die, and that pains him.

And one last thing. Loki is a god of mischief, and I can't help thinking about the comparison of a real god Mobius can see in front of him and the fake Time Keepers in the panel behind Loki.

Loki POV

Meanwhile, Loki is looking at chaos that scares him. The panel has several Kangs all fighting for supremacy in a pose that was similar to that shown by Kang in S1E6.

Loki is the god of mischief, who thrives on chaos, and yet the prospect of all these Kangs frightens him.

War is the only thing preoccuping his mind. It's the only thing he can see.

But behind him are the Time Keepers, and we know they are fake, but what if the truth Loki has to face is that while he no longer wants a throne, he might need to take it to save the people he cares for, his found family.

Loki is looking at Mobius, who's concerned about him and a little rattled, but ultimately keeping his calm. I think this calm is likely to fracture the more season 2 progresses.

What Loki sees before him is his fear, that Mobius will be caught up in the war and lost to him. It's a reminder of what's at stake if he doesn't restore order. And he's already experienced a Mobius who didn't know him, and that was heartbreaking.

What this scene also does is continue both Loki and Mobius being mirrors for each other, revealing truth and reflecting one another.

They are similar to each other in many ways. We saw glimpses of Mobius embracing chaos in S1, which I always love to see. And I can't wait to see more of these soulmates. They are important to one another.

And I haven't even spoken about all the touching, that Mobius doesn't want to lose Loki and Loki is just so desperate to get to Mobius, but I think other people have covered that.

And just a wee note to everyone that this is just me theorising, and usually my theories do not happen, but I couldn't help pondering if this mural had an even deeper meaning. I just like theorising for fun.

Smug because he wielded enough power to deeply concern and frighten the entire realm from civilians to governments, causing Midgard to mobilise a unit of six exceptional beings to take him down. And he’s also ashamed on a deep, visceral level for the person he has become and the hatred he feels for himself and his actions, and of course his true lineage. Because of this, Loki gets off on receiving public humiliation for his misdeeds. This kink doesn’t necessary require a partner – but rest assured he was hard beneath his leathers whilst he was cuffed by the wrists, ankles and neck, as ten guards led him into a the Great Hall like an animal. His heart pounded in his chest and he smirked as he was verbally ridiculed for the atrocities. A fantasy scenario he would repeat with partners in the future, once he claimed the throne after faking his death on Svartalfheim.

I’mma preface this by saying I adore your writing, you are one of the best and most prolific writers I have ever had the pleasure of reading from. Also I am only on chapter 46 of ATOTT if anything upcoming might contradict my following statements.

I adore the Robin Hood sugar you’re providing in ATOTT. A lot of writers I’ve noticed favour Loki or oversimplify Robin and Loki as a Shoulder Angel Shoulder Devil situation. Some YT theorists outright disregard Robin as “fake” just because of Akechi’s hypocrisy and take the one line Morgana said in English about one being a Persona for Akechi’s hatred and the other for his lies at face value. Your interpretation is far more compelling.

Going off of the Jungian concept of Personas and Shadows that canon interprets (in which Personas are the masks we wear within certain contexts and Shadows being the “undesirable” parts of ourselves we hide beneath these Personas) my takeaway from your interpretation of Robin Hood and Loki is that Loki is a Persona like the rest of the Phantom Thieves have which reject the expectations placed upon them by polite society, hence why Akechi only wears the signature Black of the Phantom Thieves after summoning Loki rather than the largely white Prince costume.

Meanwhile Robin Hood as a Shadow would be the parts of Akechi that he hides specifically from his father. Shido WANTS Loki and the Call of Chaos. Shido WANTS the unfeeling monster he’s convinced himself his son to be, but Robin Hood represents Akechi’s capacity for love (hence why Robin always talks about Sae and Ren) and his desire for justice for people like himself and his mother. Akechi goes berserk with Loki in the engine room and goes on about how teammates and justice is bullshit because caring for those sorts of things is a weakness that would get him killed in Shido’s world, and he must hide or outright deny the existence of these parts of himself for survival. You can just SEE how Akechi turns away and clenches his fists in suppressed disgust when talking to Shido in canon. Loki and Robin are not simply made up of either “hatred” nor “lies”. Neither is one “good” while the other is “bad”, they just manifested from the multiple masks Akechi wears within different contexts not unlike a wildcard does. The two only appear to be opposites because their goals oftentimes conflict with each other.

Also if my theory that your decision of giving Shadow form Robin Hood glasses as a reference to both Clark Kent for the Superman allusion and Ren Amamiya whom Akechi canonically admires deep down for being “a person who sticks to their justice” I will go Nucking futs.

Funny you should say that because I specifically wanted neither Loki or Robin hood to be wholly one-dimensional. They're both protective and aspects of how Goro shows his love, both at his anger towards wanting to protect / avenge his loved ones and the capacity he has for nurturing and justice, that as you point out, he actively hides not only from his father but from others. He categorically -refuses- to let the thieves humanize him, unlike Ren, who is constantly pointing at him going -that's pookie-.

Ren sees the light that Goro desperately tries to hide from others, because categorically, Goro doesn't believe his good side means anything when in regard to how his actions should be viewed.

One of the reasons I had both Robin and Loki agree that Goro should sabotage Sumi (sorry Sumi) was to show that Robin isn't this wholly angel figure. At his core, he's still a thief, still a representative of Goro's ideas of justice. So having Robin being perfectly fine with stealing Sumi's man if it came to that was my little wink at that. I love Robin Hood dearly and I'm glad I got to show off how much deep down, Goro just wanted someone to love and care for, just as much as he wanted to be cared for ;3;

Here’s my theory on Loki’s “death” in The Dark World.

1. First, it’s not possible to create an illusion directly involving another person without their cooperation.

When Loki created the illusion that he’d cut off Thor’s arm, Thor was playing along. It was part of their plan to fool the Dark Elves, and it worked because Thor wasn’t lifting Mjolnir with that hand, or throwing it, or doing something else that would break the illusion or show it to be false.

So, when we see Loki get stabbed through the chest by The Cursed baddie, he really got stabbed. In the chest. The Cursed would not have collaborated with Loki to fake his death; they were in a real life-and-death struggle to kill each other.

2. Second, when Loki was dying in Thor’s arms, we saw something we’ve never seen before; his face mottled and turned grey.

We’ve seen a lot of Jotun and Aesir die in the MCU, but none of them underwent this kind of face mottling in their death throes. So, what was this? …

3. Loki is a sorcerer—the greatest sorcerer of Asgard, according to Kevin Feige.

This is Asgard, where magic is everywhere, and even Thor has some magical powers of his own. The greatest sorcerer of Asgard would be exceptionally powerful indeed.

We still haven’t seen the full extent of MCU Loki’s powers because he’s been deliberately underpowered to fit into the storylines of other characters.

(Now, let’s play along, Lellie) We haven’t seen the full extent of Loki’s powers because, as we learn in the Loki series, he, himself doesn’t know how powerful he is.

Also, remember, we are dealing with the sly and cagey God of Lies and Mischief. It’s not his way to put all his cards on the table, and he benefits from being underestimated by his enemies.

4. Loki was born a Jotun (Frost Giant).

We’ve seen him use Frost Giant powers (in Thor 1), both freezing Heimdall with the Cask of Ancient Winters and resisting the burning touch of a Jotun warrior.

We’ve seen other Frost Giants use additional powers; most notably, the ability to freeze their limbs so that ice weapons extend from their hands.

So, what do these points tell us?

Loki really was mortally wounded when the Cursed Dark Elf stabbed him through the chest.

Something strange happened to Loki when he was dying in Thor’s arms; something that flushed all color out of his face.

Loki was capable of using sorcery or some Jotun power to freeze his own body.

Loki, as a Jotun, was capable of surviving having his body frozen.

When you freeze a liquid, it turns to ice. Loki was dying of blood loss, and perhaps cardiac arrest. Since Loki was capable of turning his blood to ice, he stopped the blood loss.

Ice cold is a preservative. That’s why we have refrigerators and freezers. It’s a well known fact that freezing an amputated body part protects it from decay and improves the chances of a successful reattachment.

So, faced with death, Loki deliberately froze himself to save his own life, perhaps anticipating that Thor would have the sense to bring him to an Aesir physician, where his wound could be healed. (But Thor didn’t.)

In the cold of winter, many animals hibernate. Their body temperature drops and they fall asleep. Their heartbeat slows down, so their bodies use very little energy and can survive without food for months.

Suppose Loki went into a hibernative state—not dead, but deeply asleep. Suppose he was able to work magic, even in this state, and was able to slowly knit his wound back together.

Thor left Loki behind as a massive sandstorm approached on the Dark World. Suppose the storm covered Loki’s body in a protective mound of sand, just like a muskrat hibernating in a hole.

All Loki needed was enough time to heal himself before the Einherjar (Asgardian soldiers) found him and provided the means for him to return to Asgard in disguise.

Loki didn’t fake his death on the Dark World. He managed to save himself through his own quick wits and sorcery. And Thor was too stupid to realize what Loki was doing and too self-absorbed to think about what could have happened to Loki, rather than assuming Loki had deliberately faked his death.

No wonder Loki didn’t advertise the fact that he’d survived.

some time in the early 19th century you found yourself being surrounded by other friendly gentle ladies of your age of which you pretended were your long time friends as you have decided to befriend them and make you part of their community, since when you arrived had nowhere to reside, of course we're talking about when you arrived at that time.

when you were working at the TVA, always forever unhappy wasting your neverending time in your cubicle, having tons of paperwork with no interest whatsoever. Never had motivation for anything rather than the slight hope of some miracle that could pave the road to the exit to your new life.

That's when that new loki you heard about putting the TVA in distress and making everyone finding out that they had a life, never were created by the so called "time keepers" and only because you were always curious and realized all your made up theories were right. So you wasted your time no more, and took action while everything was out of control. You read lots of book in your free time, one of them was a guide book written by a loner called "ouroboros" and knew there will be free tem pads in plain sight for you to take. So you headed down to a place people never went, repairs and advancement department, slowly lurking around the place trying to find a tem pad that was already fixed. Right when you were about to grab one, a tiny man jumped out from the other side of the station desk, made you jump and scream.

Time passes and there was this lovely sunny day, walking down the enormous green field with your group of friends, feeling as graceful as ever, going back to the boarding residence chatting and laughing.

When you got closer, you recognize these two men, loki the variant and mobius... that if he knows who you are, will snatch you right back to the tva. You were seconds away from losing everything, you couldn't resist and kept on looking at them in shock while still walking, unfortunately loki caught your eye, and made you extremely nervous, however you tilt your head back up and notice loki whispering to mobius only to then having both of them glancing back at you, with suspicious. You stopped looking, heart beating faster. Fortunately, a distraction saved you from the moment, a superior woman of the house greeting them. Gave you enough time to rapidly hide behind the wall between the two main doors. If you were to have the tem pad in your hand, would've been really useful but it was very well hidden inside a wooden floor in the house, so you would have to escape the ordinary way.

Never felt so tense about a situation, knowing this life of yours could be at risk. All three were standing in front of it, you were too nervous to make the first step, on going back, there. Loki noticed, so he gently grabbed your hand, and smirked sweetly at you.

I did it, y’all, I figured it out

So waaaaaay back in 2011 or so, my scheming child brain had come up with all these Loki-level theories on how Leland actually survived the oil rigs. I had it all figured out. I knew how he did it. And the real kicker is that it was all technically canon compliant which anyone who has seen the movie will have my 13-year-later response of “how the fu-“

Like it’s just not possible!! That scene was unambiguous. He was very extraordinarily DEAD.

BUT! 9 year old me was like nahhh he’s alive. They’re keeping him locked up in a secret dungeon at the bottom of one of the oil rig legs! Like I was convinced!

So it’s been bothering me ever since I got back into the fandom a few months ago. How did I work that out? Then finally. It came to me.

I FIGURED IT OUT!!!!!

This may have kept me up for the majority of last night BUT!!!!

What if Torque was already on the oil rigs when Leland got there? What if he was on the boat?? What if he heard rumors of this British spy they had captured, found him and was like "ey I got this, don't worry fellas, I'll take care of this one."

Then throws the lemons out of the room, turns to Leland, and is like "what in the star spangled fuck are you doing?!"

So they're on a boat and Leland has already been captured. He's got frickin blow torch burns and the lemons are planning on bringing him back to the rigs for further questioning but Torque is like "I've got a better idea. Let's fake your death then I'LL sneak you out of here."

So we all know Torque's disguise is not just projected. He's got an actual physical disguise. Now any well-prepared agent would be carrying a spare disguise devise in case the first one failed—LELAND FRICKING TURBO WHAT THE HAEL WERE YOU DOING— but here's this poor bastard about to be tortured to death so Torque uses the spare to run a scan of Leland and then puts it on some idk wheelbarrow??? and voilà! it now looks just like him!

But Leland is like “it looks like me, but it’s not going to take them long to figure it out.” But Torque is like, “Don’t worry about it,” and runs the decoy into a trash compactor and we get an ironic scene of Leland like "damn that could've been me..." then Torque hides him in an empty crate while he gets the other lemons and is like "haha look what I did to that crummy agent! I killed him haha!" And they're like "moron!! We could've gotten information out of him!"

But they unload the crates from the boat. Leland is waiting on Torque to get him out of there. He knows Finn is coming, but he can't call him now. The lemons probably took his comm. they probably broke his axles too or something to keep him from getting away. So he's totally at Torque's mercy here. Then he hears a commotion and shit, that's probably Finn. *rapid gunfire* *screeching tires* *huge explosion* yeah that's definitely Finn. Then there's just dead silence. And shit that's the worst part.

Okay after this, it really gets complicated. Finn wreaked havoc on those bastards so there was a great deal of confusion. Torque has to play along. Maybe he got sent to the boats again? But he wasn't able to make it back to get Leland out of the crate so the lemons unload the crate first and are like how in the fuck?

So now we've got ourselves a pickle cause Prof Z figures out someone helped Leland fake his death. There's no way he could've done it by himself. Now they've got either a traitor or another spy on board. They try questioning Leland about it but he doesn't give out so they toss him a holding cell in one of the oil rig legs to stew in the salt water and contemplate life. I'm sure they told him Finn was dead.

Torque comes back and awwwSHIT the crate is gone!!! And now all the lemons are on edge so he can't even ask about it without outing himself. All he can do is assume they killed that poor agent after all, and he had to keep on with his with mission, now even more precarious.

Some time passes, Torque goes to Tokyo with the main crew so he can offload the intel he got but he never makes it. And we all know what happens after that.

Finn keeps up his killing spree. We get the events of cars 2. The lemon operation gets shut down and the oil rigs get cleared out except, there's still a pretty red Jag stuck in one of the oil rig's legs :) (don’t worry we’ll rescue him)

less than 2 hrs til the winchesters finale so here are my quickfire last minute predictions / theories / questions

we'll find out where this is all *really* taking place. is this actually earth, 1972, canon timeline or are we in an alternate universe / is this all happening in the empty or fake heaven or some other third, fourth, fifth thing ???

we'll find out (some) of the reasons for dean doing this in the first place. why did he knock over that first domino? why is he here? what's his endgame? hopefully we'll get a CRUMB of an answer

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS DEANNA CAMPBELL??? for the past like week or so the deanna-is-the-akrida-queen-vessel theory has been growing large in my mind and i swear...........deanna is either gonna show up w/ samuel to help them take down the akrida or she will be revealed as the queen (and possibly be thee cliffhanger bc mary cannot kill her!!)

WHAT are the akrida and what do they really want? if this *is* the canon timeline on earth and not taking place in the empty / heaven / some illusion then my theory is that the akrida ARE somehow linked to the empty or chuck / amara.

will we see a surprise spn guest other than dean ?? since mary said they were 'out-numbered' in the trailer i've been thinking they're gonna try to get all hands on deck (which is why i think IF deanna is not the queen then we might see her come in to town to help with the fight). which also makes me think maybe they'll try to utilize ALL their resources and they *do* have a trickster god (who may or may not be an archangel) trapped in a mirror rn. and if they DO call on Loki to help them well that would fit nicely with my last big theory....

TIME LOOP FINALE. you can read my whole post about it here. but the gist of it is, they realize they can't stop the invasion or defeat the akrida but they *can* contain it, in a time loop. so as soon as the akrida start invading, the time loop starts (perhaps courtesy of Loki / Gabriel) and takes them back to the day john and mary meet (and the day john gets the letter from dean). this would be the easiest way imo to do what robbie said which is, close out the season in a way that it Could stand on it's own as an ending w/ not too many huge cliffhangers if they don't get renewed, but also remain open and with enough intrigue to allow for more seasons.

clownery and misc questions / theories i have that probs won't get addressed unless there's more season:

my main realistic destiel clownery / prediction is that we may hear dean mention his buddy / best friend in his narration (or when we see him in person). i could easily see him narrating and saying something like "my best friend once said good things do happen" or some other obviously cascoded quote about love / friendship / family / free will that we may not have heard in spn but like, you just know he's talking abt cas.

what is up w/ the samulet? is he using it to try to warn if god is near or is it literally just a prop to appease the sam girls / j//2s djfkdgfd

i think dean will leave the impala to john and mary creating a loop where the impala was always *his* baby. (also it fits well with that dream jensen had abt the spn finale)

Mathildis and Dagny are the only main characters that have naturally given powers, which is manipulation of natural science (follows rules or theories). They only have it under control if they completely understand it- testing out stuff that is not completely proven is forbidden and could lead to a suppression of powers. Mathildis lays his powers heavily in the laws of physics, the main thing he did before he actually understood it was producing light. Dagny uses Chemistry to understand hers. People that are truly in control of their powers are mostly scientists- although no one understands everything and it’s limits are what their body can bear. Maybe 0.01 % of population have naturally given magic. Other characters use artifacts that mostly can only execute one function. In the museum archives, they use written- out spells that can be performed by everyone.

I don’t know for certain, but Maura would probably have some sort of protective magic, Ed illusion, and Norna something like telekinesis. Else, I think others would have powers based on their jobs or none.

I haven’t entirely thought it out, but someone wanted him out of the way because he is supposed to carry on his father’s legacy, and so he just went „nope.“

“Baldur“ is functions as a sort of symbolism for Mathildis. „Loki“ is Treeve. So Loki (Treeve) essentially „kills“ Baldur (Mathildis’ old self) with the „Mistletoe“ (the bomb based upon his own powers/theories)

The „archive“ stuff is based upon the fact that museums have archives stuffed with things that aren’t currently exhibited, which have SOMETHING to do with their story. The characters themselves are part time historians, part time protectors of the mortal realm since white ppl sniffing around old Egyptian stuff during the great expedition times lead to the boundaries between the living and the dead being damaged and now stuff leaks through. It’s an actual, public job in their universe btw.

Most of the mind burglars are in America (the American effect 🥲) and museum archives ppl too. The mind burglars live in a their cool little warehouse criminal base. Museum archives just live in a provided housing complex like the just graduated losers they are. Baldur‘s death ppl live… somewhere. Fantasy world yanno. Their story spans a very long time- one thing that‘s certain is that they live in dorms in their student era. The Kilmoores live in a heavy industrialized city that has a haven and a river maybe?

Mathildis. He‘s done a lot of crazy stuff at the end of his storyline and does a lot of theoretical stuff with other peers, but mostly keeps to himself and only really gets bothered by his curious students and either gives cryptic warnings or beats them away with a ruler (not really he likes them too much). The only person he ever truly talks to about everything is journalist student Rose because she’s stubborn as hell and reminds him of his best friend Dagny. The whole story being told is basically him telling her.

Umm Malik I think.

Jules when she realizes she can‘t cross the river of the dead to see a beloved person again; Malik when he finds out he isn‘t supposed to be alive and is literally just a soul stuffed into a body; Cian when he realizes he‘s become a completely different, messed up person, can‘t hear very well anymore and gets socked by PTSD; Mathildis when the project meant for intimidation kills and he goes and destroys it and actually survives and now has to live with what he‘s done and Treeve‘s betrayal; Cecil when he finally gets the revelation that his father never truly loved him and now left him out in the open; and Norna, struggling with having left her old life behind (although she really does love her new criminal family)

I don’t really think I do, actually. Most of my stories do have elements that change over time, but they’re always one, solid storyline. The closest it could come would be describing a time before their story started.

It wouldn't have been a problem if it weren't so close to home. Now all the Avengers spend the time between their mission to try and find who is running the account!

What stories would Loki tell?

WiP Chapter 6 of that Thorquill fic I will totally not be able to work on again until after Easter. Uh, spoilers if you haven't read Chapter 5 yet.

It was as they scrambled down the embankment and were far enough from the parking lot edge that Natasha felt it was safe to talk again.  “What’s with you and Goldilocks?”

“Oh, Thor?”  Explaining this was always fun for Peter.  “Yeah, Dad planned this whole arranged marriage thing to infiltrate Asgard.  He planted one of those Celestial Seed things right outside of the palace.”  

Loki had multiple theories about why Ego had placed it in that exact spot but Peter had always thought it was because it was out of plain sight.  The more important thing, in Peter’s opinion, was the timing, which he shared with Natasha.  “I think he was going to set it off during the ceremony.”

Natasha made a non-committal grunting noise.  She’d heard worse.  

“And once the one in Asgard had been set off, all of them would activate.  The one on Xandar, the one here, the one on Hala—”  Peter paused, a dark thought washed over him.  “I just realized something,” he said.  “The one here at the Dairy Queen isn’t the only one that went off.”

“Wait.”  Natasha held up a hand.  She was trying to keep up with what Peter was saying.  “You’re saying when this one turned to goo, all of them across the universe did too?”

“Yeah,” Peter said.  “If I had followed Dad’s plan, the Earth would have been destroyed months ago.”

As a member of the Black Widow program, Natasha was used to compartmentalizing.  The existential horror of what Peter said went right into a neat little box for her to examine later and scream about when everything was safe.  

Instead, she moved on.  “So, why is Thor insisting on this ‘intended’ thing if the engagement was fake?”

“I—,” god why did she have to put it that way?  Peter felt bad enough about the whole “Thor being in love with him” thing.  “I escaped my Dad to tell the Asgardians what was going on and I kind of, sort of—”  There was no good way to say it.  “Gave their Prince a handy in a truck stop bathroom.”

Natasha looked like she was about to die laughing.  “Oh my god.”

“I didn’t know it was Thor at the time, okay.”  

She kept snickering.  

“He was hot, I was hot—”

Natasha cut him off.  “I don’t need to know the mechanics.”

“And I wasn’t gonna tell you about it,” Peter said in a huff.  Thank god the base of the goo was directly in front of them, it was a perfect distraction.  With a flourish, Peter drew his quad-blaster and shot a nice neat hole right in the blue goop.  It did not regenerate.  

“Look at that,” he said, completely deadpan, “made a hole just like I thought.”  With two blasters and Natasha’s cutting tool, Peter didn’t think this was going to take long at all.  

Which was a good thing, because Ego had already spotted the jet.
