Okay so I have a theory for you guys, by the way this whole theory falls on the theory that the Natsu that we know is just recreation of the originals soul. good? good. What if the original Natsu is E.N.D. basically what I'm saying is that there are two souls in Natsu's body, the recreation (the Natsu we know) and the original (E.N.D.). this theory would require a lot of things to be true for it to work but I think it sounds reasonable. And yes this theory was the whole inspiration for The Demon's Bond.

to natsu, nalu is basically canon

i've had this thought for a while now but

i think natsu dragneel already has it in his mind that he and lucy are.... Together together. Girlfriend Boyfriend. Husband Wife. Married With Kids.

one day lucy gathers enough guts to confess to natsu and he just goes "lucy i dont get it why are you confessing are we not already together but yes i love you too you weirdo"

and lucy is like ... "what did you just say"

and we finally figure out that natsu basically thought they were dating this whole time. and lucy's losing her mind and going "why didnt you SAY anything???" and natsu, dumb dork that he is, just goes "you have to say it???"

AND I GET IT!!! like,,, she's his number one priority every time, sleeps at her house, spends most of his time with her, puts his head in his lap when he's motion sick, saves/catches her multiple times, basically has seen her naked (and only ever showed physical attraction to her and no one else), considers her his best friend and with happy they make this little quaint family, and he doesn't understand why she thought they weren't together. she rewrote his book ffs and saved his life.

HE UPROOTED A WHOLE RAINBOW TREE AND SAILED IT DOWN A RIVER FOR HER. even natsu dragneel, "i love my nakama" incarnate, wouldn't do that for anyone else. so of course he thinks they're together. and lucy just thinks they're tethering on the edge of romance and friendship.

in every universe there was, natsu and lucy were always together. edo-natsu and edo-lucy who have a kid now, and even in "fairy nail" nakku and lusha.

they're just meant to be Together in every way sense and form. natsu knows that!!!

If I could I would like to talk about the very second "nalu moment" in the series that takes place in episode 2. (The first I would like to believe is him telling her he's taking her to fairy tail.)

But this moment...

This was a major nalu moment for 2 reasons, 1 way more obvious than the other.

So let's start with the obvious.

First of all, for those who haven't made it to the grand magic games arc for any reason...

MAJOR SPOILER WARNING!

This is how Natsu remembered this moment. Which automatically gives it points for NaLu.

If you recall, towards the end of the grand magic games arc when the dragons attacked, Lucy was targeted by future rogue. Future Lucy, however, used her body as a shield and saved present Lucy's life. We then find out that the way we initially thought Natsu would remember the moment she officially joined was not how he remembered it at all, but instead remembered it as what seems to have been one of his core Lucy memories.

But I have a theory as well.

Here we can see that Lucy's favorite colors are pink and blue. However, unlike everyone else in the guild. Her outfit nor hair even once match her guild mark (with the exception of pajamas). Gray usually wears black pants to match his, erza wears a blue skirt to match hers, wendy wears blue in every outfit to match hers, and even natsu at least once wore red to match his, which if I'm being honest the color of his guild mark could have more to do with igneel seeing as his scales are red, but that's a totally different topic for another time. But lucy primarily wears blue and white. Neither of which is the color of her guild mark.

Why is this important?

As you may have guessed it has to do with my personal theory.

Does anyone remember how excited she was to show her guild mark to Natsu specifically? The moment she had it she ran to him to show him without hesitation.

I promise there's a reason for all these points.

Well my personal theory has to do with her guild mark, if that wasn't obvious already.

Again several times with everyone else in the guild we see them wear outfits to match their guild marks, but the only outfit lucy has ever matched with her guild mark was her pajamas.

So why did she choose a pink guild mark?

My theory is...

Because it matches Natsu's hair!

He was the first one she wanted to show her guild mark to.

He was the one that brought her to fairy tail.

AND he saved her from bora and his men!

To me, this was her way of showing her appreciation for Natsu.

And to me this also ties in with the "natsus core memory" bit.

Another headcanon is he remembered this because this moment touched him. He was the first person she wanted to show and her guild mark is the same color as his hair. To him, seeing her guild mark for the first time could've meant the world to him. But they just met so he couldn't let her know that.

It's just my personal little theory/head-canon. But it's still so cute none the less to think that this might be a possibility.

The first thing Natsu does after getting separated is, try to track Lucy’s scent. And when that doesn’t work, he just gives up. He could try to pick Happy’s since that’d lead him to both.

My theory is that either he thinks Lucy and Happy are separated from each other as well, so he tries to find Lucy first but that’d be weird because once Natsu realises he can’t trace her scent, he just gives up and doesn’t even bother mentioning Happy. Or it can be that, he prefers following Lucy’s scent than anyone else’s because that gives him inner peace? Some sort of relief that she’s somewhere around. He stated more than once that being around her gives him comfort. Maybe it’s the reason why his first instinct after losing sight of her is to trace her scent.

I also like the fact that, over the time, Natsu has learnt to control his protective tendencies. He looks calmer now when Lucy’s not around him despite always worrying about her. It’s because he knows she has gotten stronger and she can protect herself now. I don’t know, this little detail just caught my eyes and I felt the need to let you know about my thoughts.

Summer Rose Is Sleeping Beauty Theory.

So obviously there's many theories out there on where Summer is or what happened to her and so I'm not sure if this one has been done or talked about yet.

Recently I got my friend into RWBY and she's a mega fan of all things fairytale. As we were watching and I was explaining different character backgrounds/who they're based on, we got onto Summer. She stated how Sleeping Beauty's real name is Briar Rose. Obviously the last names matched but the more we talked about it the more I can see RT doing something similar to Summer.

My theory is that somehow Salem cursed Summer and put her into an eternal sleep that can only be broken by some form of true love. As we've seen in the show, the silver eyes power is based similarly, it activates when you think about your loved ones, happy memories, and the desire to protect. At some point we'll find out that Salem is using Summer to make the hounds while she's in her coma, and Ruby will use "True Love" or her Silver Eyes to wake Summer up. Alternatively, RT can change it from "True Love" to a "Daughter's Love" and bounce off of what they set up in V.9, "A Mother's Promise" -> "A Daughter's Love."

Part 2: Natsu’s Beloved Scarf

Every Fairy Tail knows how much Natsu cherishes the scarf given to him by Igneel. It is his last physical connection to his beloved father. He is rarely seen without it. He was very upset when Zeref’s attacked caused the scarf to become black after protecting him. He loves the scarf beyond measure.

The scarf is made from Igneel’s fallen dragon scales (turning from red to white). While Natsu never gave much thought to how the scarf was made, it is obvious that Igneel can’t make a scarf for a human (being a huge dragon and all). Anna Heartfilia - celestial mage, teacher to the dragon slayers, and ancestor of Lucy - knit the scarf for Natsu.

The invisible string connects Natsu and Lucy beyond their own interactions. A part of Natsu past is connected to Lucy’s family 400 years ago. The scarf remains with him through thick and thin.

Additionally, Lucy knows how important it is to Natsu. She is often seen keeping the scarf safe and is the only one who Natus allows to use to the scarf (especially in the 100 year quest). Essentially, this demonstrates how a simple scarf connects Natsu and Lucy.

Colour theory ramblings

as someone who's still getting used to digital art.

Gray was done entirely in grays. And not a particular large variety of them either, theyre allll blue grays. If you were to try and find any other colour here you'd just be nitpicking stray pixels. The base colours r allll blue grays.

I'm hoping the effect I tried is visible, where it seems like a skin tone at glance? the blue for the background is a warmer more saturated blue and the blue for the skin is cooler and desaturated.

This natsu was interesting too because I wanted his shirt to appear green and his hair needed to appear light reddish pink. I hope I succeeded.

I do like the way Loke’s and Aries’s abuse by Karen was done. Albeit i wish they continued the after effects of Aries and Loke healing together instead of having Loke immediately be fine after Lucy and just never addressing Aries probably trauma induced insecurity. Plus, despite all the sexism, there could be something to note about a woman abusing another fellow woman and a man (i think).

And wtf you mean Hibiki dated Karen? Should we ask him what he thinks about celestial spirit rights??? Bet he didn’t know, would he excuse it if he knew? Jk jk jk but he would’ve saw Aries and Bob knew too. Despite all that they loved her? Sorry but i don’t like her, feel grief all you want for human life but she was cruel.

The manga says it’s “theorized” that Karen influenced Loke’s womanizing behavior, but this is directly from the manga so it’s a clue/hint in canon. I thought Loke was like that because of Blue Pegasus’s trio of male hosts, but that made me second guess something else. What if Karen just did the same thing to Loke what she did to Aries by making him “entertain” woman guests. As in she forced Loke to work as a host instead of him picking it up naturally.

Sadly the author never expands on Loke and Aries with Blue Pegasus and their connections, so this is all speculation on some japanese to english translations that could be misinterpreted. But this really shatters Aries’s and Loke’s one-note personalities into borderline offense.

Just remembered the time I wrote a whole fto theory on how Blake and David could be siblings based on the Salode arc

Like I had a whole word document to explain this theory and it all boiled down to two points:

Blake shares a lot of physical similarities to David's mother to the point that when David's episode was premiering, some people weren't sure if it was Blake or his mother that David was hugging in the thumbnail, myself included

Blake mentions that David's birthtown looks similar to her village which kind of implies she's from a similar area, maybe not the same village but a neighboring one which yes, might not mean much but still something I kept in mind

and we already know David's dad is a bit of a scumbag so it wouldn't be too surprising for him to potentially have sent away one of his children due to unknown reasons

As for sibling relation... twins is the most likely as they're the same age. We never get confirmed birthdays for characters so another piece of evidence I would have used would be how close their birthdays are to each other

I think the most heartbreaking part of this is because in the first picture, that’s Future Natsu doing the forehead touch with Future Lucy, and he promises her that they’ll be okay.

But in the second picture, that’s Present Natsu doing the forehead touch with Future Lucy. Present Natsu who had no idea that Future Natsu did that with Future Lucy. He did that gesture out of his own love and gratitude to Future Lucy for going back in time to protect their future.

And the reason Future Lucy is crying in the second picture is because she remembers how her Natsu from the Future did the exact same thing. And her Natsu is dead. And this one, still alive, made her remember how her Natsu did this gesture and she lost him after.

In this one shot alone, you can see the love, sadness, gratitude, and fear that Future Lucy and Present Natsu is experience.

And I just love them so much more for it.

I was wondering can I hear your thoughts on this what if scenario?

I read this Nalu fic and Lucy even mentored she has no right to be angry at natsu for leaving he lost his father and she might have lost Aquarius but she's still out there somewhere .

Now I'm wondering what if after Lucy broke Aquarius key, Aquarius did get reborn along side her key .

The Aquarius that Lucy knew is gone, the Aquarius Scorpio was dating is gone. Now what remains is a different Aquarius maybe it's a child Aquarius ( shout out to her child design) or a completely different Aquarius who still has the mermaid tail and the water magic. But hair color different (example green) and maybe her personality is low-key similar (loud and sassy ) or completely different (quite and wise)

Just think of the angst potential.

👁️👁 What an interesting concept. I love the potential angst in this situation. Like Lucy reminiscing about something in an attempt to jog her memory, depending on Aquarius’ new personality she might indulge her hoping that it can help her navigate her grief. Of course none of these would work because the old Aquarius is gone.

There could also be a situation where they meet another Celestial Wizard who made a contract with Aquarius before Lucy could find her. Like they’d meet this new wizard under friendly terms, and when Lucy notices the Aquarius key, she would ask the wizard to summon her so that they could talk. Only to be met with someone she doesn’t recognize, or someone who doesn’t recognize her. This would force Lucy to both accept that Aquarius is gone, and let her go.

Just to circle back to the first part, I feel like it’s a bit unfair to think Lucy doesn’t have the right to be upset that Natsu left, especially cause he left without a proper goodbye (I feel like she deserves more then a note). Like she just lost Aquarius, who was part of her family, and in this spiral of sadness and grief, her best friend leaves her, and to add an extra layer the guild got disbanded. So while yes I agree that she shouldn’t be upset with Natsu for processing how he needed to, she definitely should be mad that he just up in left while she was going through arguably one of her most intense emotional periods.

But yes 100% yes I love the idea of Keys being reborn.

Minerva's Mother Theory

So, I am currently writing a blog talking about Minerva's character development and I realized something... We have never seen or heard about Minerva's mother. Of course she is a background character so I'm not surprised, but it gave me a theory.

We know when she was a child Jiemma always pushed Minerva to be rid of any weakness and even kill members of her own guild to prove that she wouldn't be held back by anything.

This gave me the idea, do you believe its possible that Jiemma killed her own mother? It could still be possible Minerva was adopted, but say her mother had enough and stood up to him. She didn't want Minerva to turn into such a monster like her father was. Jiemma isn't held back by love and has no sense of humanity in any bones of his body. I wouldn't be surprised if he would have killed her as he left Minerva in the forest by herself as a child.

It was just a not-so-fun theory that I had which is honestly very sad. I still don't like her character but she has one of the sadder backstories when it comes to villains in Fairy Tail. Jude over Jiemma any day.

Sometimes I think about this fanfic that had a Headcanon about Natsu's hair is pink bc of uh something (it was like the power that made him end) so in this fic he was coming to terms with his hair now being black, like Zeref's, and I wish I could give you a link but it was so long ago

LITERALLY NO NEED BECAUSE I KNOW THAT THEORY AND FUCKIN LOVE IT.

The theory went that Natsu's hair, originally before he was revived, was black and it was the etherion Zeref used in his revival that turned his hair pink.

It was a theory that popped up around tartarus' end using Wendy's own ethernano powered dragon force transformation as evidence (and also to provide a reason as to why Natsu and Zeref hardly look the same before that one flashback of the parents dropped).

It's quite literally my most favourite ft theory ever of Natsu's hair being black in the past. Even if canon basically held a gun to the back of its head and shot it in the dark I still adore it. I packed that theory lunch, I gave it my blessing and I picked it up from football practice.
