One thing I wish original Fairy Tail had done, was to at least have a scene with Igneel and Lucy talking. Even if it was when his spirit was glowing and disappearing as he died but he was talking to her in her mind. I’ve always wondered if Igneel would have liked Lucy. Did he approve of her? What did he think of her Natsu together? Heck, Natsu doesn’t even have a chance to tell Igneel about her or his new life. What would Natsu have said to Igneel about her? Would Igneel have asked Natsu why they weren’t mates yet? It could have started the gears in Natsu’s mind going about romance.

I just feel like we were robbed of good bonding/sweet moments, not having that and all.

Grandeeney: “Just Natsu? No family name?”

Bickslow knew where the dragons were

Unless there's some other shenanigans going on or something I forgot about, Bickslow would have totally known where Igneel, Metallicana, et. al. were the entire time because he would have been able to see their souls inside the dragonslayers.

Either he a. Didn't realize and thought that was just a 1st/3rd gen dragonslayer thing, or b. He's an asshole.

Quite frankly, both are very in character.

I finished the Tartaros arc and I have feelings. I’m making these feelings other people’s problems.

Lucy never wanted to be alone or neglected. So as a kid she always summoned Aquarius to be her friend. Aquarius only convinced Lucy to summon the Celestial Spirit King by telling her that Lucy has friends to lean on. But in the end, Lucy was alone again. Natsu and Happy left and Makarov disbanded the guild.

Juvia effectively killed Grays father. She loves Gray so, so much and had to take away his only remaining family. But the most heartbreaking part for her is that she told him. She said that she doesn’t deserve to love him but yet still does. And he thanked her.

Gray met his dad. But he ended up leaving too. The hug will never not make me sob. Sometimes a father’s hug is all you need and Gray will never have another. He didn’t want to fight Silver, let alone kill him. But he had to for his new family, Fairy Tail.

Erza finally admitted to the Tower hurting her. She locks everything so far away that any raw emotions are confusing. I don’t think any of the Tower kids will ever heal.

Natsu. All he ever fought for was to see Igneel. He wanted to talk with him, show him that he learned to write, and cook, and is powerful. It is all Natsu wanted. But he never got it. Igneel was murdered in front of him and they never truly got to talk and ask questions and be a father son. Igneels parting words were to “Look to the future, where the power of life lies,” so Natsu did just that. Acnologia would probably attack again in the future, so Natsu left to become stronger and protect his remaining family.

Sorry for the rants, this arc is so heartbreaking and good. Don’t get me started on Believe in Myself.

Hi I was wondering do any of uses know what this fics called ? It’s a Nalu story where Natsu keeps travelling to different universes ; the first universe is where him and Lucy are dating but Ingeel dead ; the 2nd universe is that Ingeel alive but Lucy dead and Natsu has to choose which universe he has to live in and I remember at the end Lucy and Ingeel push him into different universe (Lucy wants Natsu to be with Ingeel even if she’s no longer alive , while Ingeel wants Natsu to be with Lucy Even if he’s gone from this world .)

And at the end Natsu woke up in his own universe.

It was so good to read !! However I lost it and I forgot what’s the author called ; can anyone please help me please 🙏 💗

i think natsu's going through a dilemma in the hyq. remember how elefseria said that the reward for finishing the quest would be to have any wish granted? how we heard lucy, wendy, erza, gray and happy share their initial thoughts on this wish? well, we didn't hear a word about it from natsu. and i think it's because he only wishes for one thing - to get his father back. but the problem is that he's dead - igneel can't come back, and natsu can't wish him into reality again, not just because it's probably not possible, but also because natsu can't allow himself to act like zeref. he knows that igneel deserves rest, and he knows that it was zeref's tampering with life and death that gave him that curse. so he's stuck in this limbo, not knowing what to wish for. does he follow his heart, that tells him to take his chance to finally get to know his father, or does he listen to his brain and all the signs that are leading him away from playing god?

also, i think natsu's standard for wishes is pretty high. it goes beyond just a normal want - if he wants something badly enough, he'll go get it, but a wish has to be something that's normally out of reach. that's why i think his only wish currently is to get igneel back. i'm sure he'd be content with just a week, or even just a day.

Anyone else thinks that Natsu's fixation on Erza as his ideal strongest person and someone he really looks up to is also influenced by the fact that Erza's hair is the most similar to Igneel's color not to mention flames?
