I know I am Juvia biased and I am aware of how Hiro decreased her potential like he did with every secondary character ( Aka Mirajane) but when someone comments about Juvia's obsession with Gray making her the reason why she isn't as cool as before, I can't resist the urge to roll my eyes, the truth is there, but also not, because her being "obsessed" is why she is funny and a unique character, plus it's refreshing to see a female character openly loving somebody without making her weak, saying that obsessing over Gray is the reason of her underdevelopment beats the whole message behind it, love makes her stronger not weaker.

And I admit that I am frustrated with Hiro's poor character writing, however I literally don't want to hear this from anyone tbh. It sounds pathetic but believe me I only want to hear this from Juvia fans and myself, not haters.

I swear alot of the other ships are moving so far along in terms of romantic development. Gray and Juvia both mutually have feelings for each other and it’s just a matter of time for Gray to verbalize those feelings to Juvia and make them official. Jellal and Erza are also moving forward with their relationship (we just need to have Jellal hopefully join the Fairy Tail guild so then he and Erza can no longer be separated from each other) their only issue is mainly due to them not being around each other as much. With Gajeel and Levy they became canon during the final arc of the series and 100 year quest only adds to their dynamic showing people how happy they are to become parents and showing us how their lives are now as a canon couple.

However with Nalu there are hints of Lucy having romantic feelings for Natsu (even tho she continues to deny them) and Natsu himself just still remaining oblivious to romance. But I think with them it feels like the overall ship hasn’t progressed the way the other two soon to be canon pairings have. I think it would be nice to at least have one of them confirm that they do have romantic feelings for the other at least soon in the manga so then we can see more progression for these two. Idk if anyone feels a similar way but Nalu just feels like (despite how strong the ship is; we haven’t made much change since the end of the main series ☹️)

Little headcanon: IF nalu got together, I'm definitely sure Lucy would ask Natsu to help with her cramps and all. He doesn't mind since he gets cuddle sessions 😉 But with a magical heating pad replacing him? While he is with her? He said, "Nah, this is stupid. I'm here for God's sake!"
