Verbal affection (?? this is from before they're officially an item or wtv)

Context is that i sometimes imagine this awkward (?) period between them where junkrat very openly has a crush on roadhog & while roadhog doesn't exactly reciprocate those feelings, he's not totally opposed to junkrat's feelings either. or sth like that.

that ask abt hog singing made me wanna draw some karaoke bar scenario.... altho the thing w drawing characters singing is that it'll never be as interesting looking (??) as in ur head bc songs are way too long and comics dont have audio bhbjvhbjh anyway.

context is theyre "undercover" and "gathering intel for a heist" at a karaoke bar (aka junkrat just wanted to have some fun for the night); this is late in the evening after most everyone at the bar has gone back home, roadhog's probably had a bit much to drink & getting sentimental, idk.

Random disjointed practice of trying to illustrate a singing sequence. I gave up in parts and skipped sections bc i didnt know what to do but whatever;; further context at the end of the post.

Context: junkrat's performing at a bar in junkertown bc why not. (??) Roadhog is employed by junkrat & they're friends but not super super close yet.

There's also a 3rd junker talking to roadhog that the scenario hinges on but idk who. Doesnt make much sense for it to be jq but maybe it could be. Otherwise it's just some random junker ig.

Song is a parody of "every baby needs a da-da-daddy" by marilyn monroe for, as usual, no reason in particular. (Tbh I dont rly recommend this song, has a lot of really dated and weird undertones)

unnecessary trans junkrat related clarification: i hc junkrat as not getting top surgery until some time after he and roadhog are banished (?) from junkertown

Tbh I kinda have enough dialogue before and after the singing scene to make this a oneshot but eh............ difficult. I'll think about it.

(it was really fun to just... do the lines without much sketching beforehand (usually i do a sketch on a sketch on a sketch and then lineart... but in this case, with the overall cartoony scribbly look, it's nice and fine and i'm glad i did it that way, would've cost me so much more time to render this perfectly)
