Something something White Lily and Elder Faerie having to watch each other basically walk to their possible deaths, unable to do anything interfere. Because they know it's something the other is doing out of their own will, because they know they share the same goal. Something something White Lily representing freedom, not just her own freedom but the freedom of all living life. With that comes with the deep respect for other's free-will. She'll never asks for Elder Faerie to be free of his duties/not to give up his life protecting the Silver Tree. Because that's selfish. Because she understands he's doing it all by his own volition.

thinking thoughts but that one letter where Kit is talking about Mina and he mentions how he kinda gets why Ty did what he did. because now he has a sister of his own, he can understand Ty's feelings more than he did at the time. like it doesn't magically fix anything but he understands better now.

but that's partially because as much as Kit thinks about Ty and what he did to get Livvy back, it wasn't the reason he left. forgiving Ty is complicated because it's the easy answer for why he ran, and to forgive him would mean facing the reason he's avoiding as much as he can. that he's the first heir, and he possesses some unknown amount of power because of it. before the riders showed up, Kit was mad at Ty but not to the point of fleeing the country. he still cared about him, and wanted to go back for him when Emma drags him away. but finding out about Auraline and his mom, that's what changes everything.

Kit was mad about Ty raising the dead, but he understands it now. Ty is mad about Kit leaving, but he doesn't understand that in the same way yet. what it's like to have a massive bombshell reveal about your ancestors, and wonder how who they are effects you as a result. the possibility of power, the isolation that comes with being something that almost impossible to wrap your head around. but he will.

okay so! fancasts are SO difficult for me to do bc i have such clear visions of what characters look like in my head, that it makes it almost impossible to compete with anyone in real life!

HOWEVER! for you (baby g), i tried and honestly i'm kinda chuffed with the actors i've selected <3

KIT HERONDALE - RUDY PANKOW

i just simply loved rudy pankow as jj in outer banks and i find it freaking hilarious that he’s described in the first episode as a “mild kleptomaniac and a future tax cheat” bc it is sooo kit!coded, idk i just feel like rudy has a surfer dude vibe and so does my lil blondie

TY BLACKTHORN - TOM STURRIDGE

i saw somebody on here once say that this man gave a ty vibe and honestly i can’t stop thinking about it. he’s got those sherlock holmes vibes and those wise eyes. plus this man is gorgeous and we all know that ty is out of this world so this fits perfectly

DRU BLACKTHORN - BARBIE FERREIRA

just the vibes, the aesthetic, the attitude. dru, dru, dru, dru, dru, drooling wait what (nobody saw that right? right?!) -> but seriously, i'm obsessed with this fancast, i think barbie has strong badass female character energy and looks like she could kick your ass and i'm all for it (plus i'm kind of obsessed with the fact that she has black hair just like tlkof first chapter!dru has icl)

ASH MORGENSTERN - WILLEM DE SCHRYVER

okay so this actor actually reminds me a LOT of kit (especially his role in wtfock), but look-wise, he is giving hardcore ash vibes and i love it! and tbh this guy is a sweetheart just like ash AND he looks unreal and ofc ash is an ethereal faerie prince sooo it fits, okay?
