#explain episode 7 poorly

I'm so sad to see this go. You created a wonderful story.
As for questions,
What happened to Tango? Why does his ear endermite have an eye? Would we ever be able to save him? What would a Tango redemption arc look like?
(Sorry if that's too many questions. I am INVESTED in this plot.)
I love Tango so much, I really wished for him to find some peace at the end. Tango's a mess. When he gets mad his anger just doesn't want to die down, he's gonna burn people and then feel bad he did so. The room never got to eat those strong emotions before he found the endermites and being bitten stifled his disappearance. At that point he was still not on the murderous path, he wanted to just get out and get Mumbo out too! He didn't fully get what was going on, or maybe he was in super denial about what was happening. Mumbo had his realization about it when Tango told him that no, Grian did not call for help outside, in fact he just dropped Tango into the same room, and wasn't Mumbo outside just a few days ago? How could it have been months? Mumbo refused to leave his chair while he grappled with understanding everything and Tango went off to find a solution. And he did. At some point, he managed to get out of the room. but maybe as a side effect of being turned into an endermite or maybe because of his long stay in the room itself, he couldn't stand the overworld, everything was too loud, too brigt and too overwhelming. He spawned into an unfamiliar shopping district and overwhelmed and hurt he dug a hole and hid underground. Only to fall in the newly constructed Decked out. In season 7.
Specifically, he ended up there when Tango, actual Tango was explaining decked out to Bdubs, I lost the link to the episode but i had it at some point. Our Tango, our messed up bug Tango, just.. listened to his copy speak. The whole explanation of Decked Out filled him with so much excitement, it was just the most beautiful thing! He'd missed redstone and creating and everything could be alright again- Then the game started, and every single redstone click and bell ringing made Tango's head explode with pain. He ripped out one of the bells just to shut it and escaped.
That's when it clicked into our Tango's head. He was not the real Tango anymore, was he? How could he be Tango when there was already one around and when he could barely exist in the overworld it seemed? When he couldn't do the things that used to define him. Was he just a copy? What was he? At that point he crawled back to the infinity room. It just so happened that False saw him reappear in the room, she wasn't completely lost yet, despite the room having been eating at her for a long while. She understood that Tango got out and wouldn't let him go without being let out herself.
Tango didn't want that, didn't want for her to have the same horrible experience he just had, but he wasn't able to explain that, and even if he did, she just wanted to leave. So he panicked and attacked her with his endermites, only to feel horrible immediately after. Then he hid away in some corner of the room. Only him and his mites. Then his sadness turned back to anger toward the only person he could blame for everything. Grian. There were still a few Grian's running around in the room and he took his anger out on them, not that it would fix anything but being angry and taking revenge makes him feel more real. Maybe that's what he is since he's not "Tango" anymore, he's just angry and vengeful. He tried being friends with Mumbo still, he gave him the bell he ripped out from decked out. That ended poorly. He respects the little hiding place the iskalls made from him, he wont bother them. He's so sorry for what he did to False.

For the council of head canon's consideration-
if one goes with the N is the one that got Nori with the nanite acid theory, it would mean than N "killed" Uzi's mom
however, he also went on to then save her from being killed for real during episode 7. Because if he hadn't distracted possessed Uzi with the hang-out message, then Nori would have been eaten
so he "killed" her but also saved her life, so like, they break even or something I think I'm explaining this poorly, I am very tired
#murder drones#I don't know if parallels is the right word to describe it#he did a bad and then did the opposite later#Doorman family bonding involves a lot of (literal) self-sacrifice and saving each others lives#also a fair amount of familicide but the saving each other's lives part evens it out

The character development/change that BT fans love to say Tommy has all happened in Bobby Begins Again, where he, Hen, and Chim are seen joking around with each other and getting drinks after work. It's what they love to bring up as proof that Hen and Chim are friends with him.
And I'm tired of telling people that these scenes can be interpreted as Hen and Chim tolerating Tommy, because they'll just say that I'm stupid and lack brain cells when I say that. They clearly don't want to listen to me trying to explain why I don't like the fact that Tommy (in particular) is with Buck now.
So instead, I'm talking about how poorly the writers handled Tommy's change. Because honestly, it's a half-assed job they did with it.
I know they couldn't show us all of his character development or him learning as a person, because at this point in Bobby Begins Again, he has only been in three (counting Bobby Begins Again) episodes. But they could've had written Tommy to be (more) remorseful in the "apology" scenes in Hen Begins and Chimney Begins that Tommy fans love to say happened.
In Hen Begins, all he says is basically "We would've figured it eventually, but you did good." It's a "Hey, you're actually competent" and it's nowhere close to an apology. And honestly, it lasts like maybe two minutes before Tommy and Sal leave and Chim comes up to tell Hen that the captain's waiting for her in his office.
In Chimney Begins, Tommy enters the lockeroom and starts telling Chimney stuff about himself as a way to try and bridge the gap that Tommy (and the others) had with Chimney. And then he says thank you to Chimney for saving him and they hug. Nowhere in that scene does he say that his previous actions were wrong or that he's sorry for them.
And I know Tommy fans would probably be like "Oh, apologies aren't required for people to change" and stuff like that, but when the writers don't have time to give a character in-depth character development (because he's only a recurring character), an apology goes a long way with giving evidence as to him changing and growing.
His past and the way the writers "bring" it up is a never-ending cycle of them having him continue to not admit all of what he did in the past and for him to show genuine remorse for it.
In season 7, Tommy talks about how working under Gerrard was a toxic place and how he had been a bad person back then, but he again never says he's remorseful for it.
And yes, Tommy wouldn't have had to say he's remorseful for it, if they had written him giving apologies to Hen and Chim. But they didn't, they continually had him never truly own up to what he did.
And that is what makes me side-eye the writers for bringing Tommy back in season 7. Because his change was handled so poorly in a way that yeah, of course some fans aren't going to accept the fact that he's changed and like him.
If the writers had written him as being genuinely remorseful (instead of him being only "remorseful" when Hen and Chim either saved him or when they saved the little girl in Hen Begins), then I would've been more than happy to tolerate him in season 7. (I say tolerate, because I'm not a shipper, so the most that I do for new LIs is tolerate them.)
TLDR: The writers, in my opinion, handled Tommy's change and character development poorly and that might (might) just be why some of us don't like Tommy despite him "becoming better."

Hardly a hot take, but I didn’t like acolyte. It’s the first Star Wars show that was legitimately bad (book of boba fett, Mando season 3, and Obi Wan I would consider guilty pleasures at worst). Overall, it had a lot of bad writing, cringy acting, and poor storytelling. Yes, there were some good parts, like Qimir’s character, the fight choreography, onscreen debut of cortosis, and Sol (until about episode 7), but for me, they weren’t good enough to make up for the lacking areas.
A few highlight critiques I have:
I hated the overall theme of anti-Jediism. Not because I don’t believe that the Jedi should be criticized, I just think that the way it was handled was nonsensical and idiotic. The flaws of the Jedi by the clone war were primarily complacency to a degree that they are basically puppets of the Senate, and stale teachings that haven’t changed in however many centuries or millennia that lead to Darth Vader. These flaws are issues that the Jedi should’ve recognized and tried to address, but they don’t warrant a total demonization of the institution as a whole. That’s the tragedy of the fall of the Jedi, the fact that they could’ve prevented their fall if they had simply been self critical and introspective. In acolyte, you have what effectively feels like real world political issues and criticisms forced into this universe and forcibly applied to the lens of the Jedi flaws. It isn’t explained why the Jedi being an institution is in and of itself a characteristic of the order, let alone a flaw, except from the perspective of the stranger, who sees himself as a victim of the Jedi because they won’t let him be a galaxy conquering Sith psychopath, which is a pretty weak argument.
Too many of the main characters are obnoxious and completely unlikeable. Neither mae nor osha feel like actual characters with actual arcs or development, just caricatures who make poor decisions and throw temper tantrums at anything they don’t like. Yord is an inflexible rule stickler who never develops any character besides rigidly following the rules and expressing bland disapproval at anyone who doesn’t follow his lead. Indara and Venestra were like Yord on steroids; they both reminded me unpleasantly of Luminara in TCW, but somehow with less personality. Sol, Jecki, and Qimir were the only characters that were interesting and somewhat likable.
The lightsaber designs are bland and boring. Before now, lightsaber hilts were always unique and had a profound or at least noticeable elegance to the design (Rey’s yellow lightsaber and Ezra’s blaster hybrid lightsaber are exceptions, those two were bland or ugly designs IMO). Pretty much every lightsaber in acolyte looks like interchangeable foot long pieces of discolored pipe with different cuts at the emitters, but apart from that, they looked pretty interchangeable.
The witches are cringe and poorly written. If these witches are supposed to be dark and creepy and potentially evil, why are they not just night sisters? If they’re supposed to be benevolent witches, Why did they act so night sister like? They play too small role in the story to be an entirely new kind of witch, and trying to blend nightsisters and other tribes of Dathomir witches was just confusing. We don’t understand their motives, and if we’re supposed to sympathize with them, it’s made very difficult by the fact that they’re pretty openly cultish and their intentions, for the twins seem pretty sinister. Overall, their inclusion just felt like a very weak and forced attempt to quickly add layers of demonization to the Jedi, and most of their time on screen countered that intention by making them cringy (that ceremony was beyond weird) and frankly unsympathetic due to their openly controlling and not so subtle Sinister undertones.
The ‘twist’ made no sense. Torbin was so homesick after a mere two months in the field doing drudge work that he thought bringing these girls would get him home? And he felt guilty to the point where he willingly and knowingly drank poison as atonement because… Sol understandably struck at one of the witches when she started turning into a shadow demon? And seemed to be attacking one of the girls they were there to save? And the witches, in retaliation/defense, tried to kill him? And then possessed a Wookie Jedi to try and make him kill them? And then they all died when they were expelled from Kelnacca’s mind? What?
I hated the bleeding scene. I love the concept of bleeding kyber crystals, and previous executions, like in Jedi survivor, and in the Vader comics, were freaking awesome. But in both of those instances, you had fallen Jedi having the focus all of their rage and pain into a crystal that was actively fighting back, and as a result, success usually meant in explosion of Force energy. This may the concept fuel more like a tragedy when a crystal was bled, and it made it seem like even building a Sith light saber was in of itself a trial. Osha casually and unintentionally bleeding Sol’s crystal while strangling him makes bleeding seem ludicrously easy or makes it seem like she is casually more powerful than Vader, even while he was using a Darkside Nexus, and then the light saber blade changing color while active after she bleeds it trivializes the whole process.
The fact is that the vergence thing does raise questions about Anakin’s unique nature in the Force. They could have said that Brendok might have some kind of Nexus in the Force, and that the witches were able to use this potentially unnatural focus of Force energy to affect the artificial conception and birth of an unusually powerful being, and could’ve left a clear implication that while the twins together might have been almost as powerful as Anakin, even together they would have been less powerful. Using the term ‘vergence’ immediately implies that they are on the same level as Anakin in strength, as well as in unique nature. It’s sort of like Kyp Durron in the early EU, randomly introducing a Force user who is such a prodigy that he easily outstrips even master Luke. It strips beloved characters of their importance.
It also raises questions about how unique Plagueis’ work is. I haven’t read the book yet, but from my knowledge of Darth Plagueis, his obsession with immortality is what led him to learn how to influence the Force to create life. His whole pursuit flew directly in the face of the Rule of Two, Which is part of what made him interesting. Now, the implication is that he stole the idea from the witches, which robs him of some of his appeal and makes his work seem like a cheap knock off instead of a bold and desperate gambit that fleshes out his character and further contributes to Palpatine. Yes, they may remedy this in future seasons if it is renewed, but for right now, it’s raising questions.
Basil. That rodent annoyed the hell out of me every time he was on screen after episode 4.
Overall, the show had potential, but I feel like poor choices in writing dragged it down and ruined the execution. At the end of the day, I literally just want to watch an enjoyable Star Wars show that I can get into, and acolyte kept dragging me out of it with these and other issues.

I love Lander despite hating episode 5, it feels pretty unnecessary, it's poorly written, I think it's an episode Rosy made mostly for self indulgence at The time... I'd cut the episode entirely and I feel as though Luke rejecting Zander or something would just regress him if anything and he'd just continue to distance himself. It could maybe work if another character to step in and confront him about being avoidant, Jake or Luke himself most likely... But it isn't ideal for me personally because I'm Lander-poisoned lawl
I think the best chance to have explored Zander's abandonment and how it still makes him feel today would be episode 10, right after Jake is kicked out. I overall wish we got to see the perspective of other characters (Outside of mostly Jake but also sort of Hailey) more in general but especially after heating the audio. The part that interests me most about Zander and Jake's relationship is how weary I'm sure Jake makes Zander feel, I'd really like to see Zander dealing what is (seemingly) all his fears regarding Jake coming true... I'd like to see him actually cry instead of just holding it in like in the hallway scene, (But I'd also like to see both! Him holding back and acting tough before letting go would increase the impact of course... ☆- >_▪︎) and if Zander really is fine with Jake back in the club; I'd like to have seen his perspective there also explained because I feel like his refusal and fear around accepting Jake into the club was very important and it'd make sense to reflect upon something pretty important for him in the first few episodes again in the last.
I think most characters outside of Hailey and Jake are a little to very lacking because we don't get to see their perspective much. The other TMC member's respective episodes 2-7 are even pretty weak, if you ask me... Milly's episode introduces her well but she doesn't exactly grow any, Luke isn't doing much but moping in his, Lander's is again poorly written/does nothing story-wise, and Sean barely features in his and you're only *told* that his music is important to him and his parent's argue a lot. (Show not tell, Rosy!)
Zander's also introduces him pretty well, definitely made him think about why Jake would go out of his way to help them out if he were just trying to ruin something in the end, and there is a noticeable difference in how he acts after but I still feel like after this his feelings towards Jake aren't explored as well/often as I'd expect when I feel like it was a bit important at the start that Zander didn't exactly feel comfortable around him.
I can maybe imagine a way that uses the both of them to help Zander's character though... Any issues I had with s1 regarding Zander's character has already be done though so... I think in season 2, I do NOT want for the finale to have entirely erased Zander's cautious behavior around Jake (Please, God. T_T) Luke obviously wants to be gentle and kind to his boyfriend doesn't seem unable to tell him when he's being unhelpful/acting poorly. I want Jake to do something(? Not sure what, but something that might not exactly seem like as big a deal to the others as it is for Zander. Maybe something to do with Hailey as well because Luke/Zander/Jake seem to be some of his most important relationships story-wise.) that makes Zander act out a bit and for Luke to maybe confront him about it? He'll want to resort to the usual, getting angry/running away but of course since it's Luke confronting him he'll actually think about why that sort of thing doesn't actually help him in the long run.
I like Zander best so this is all mostly about him... But I do like Luke a lot too!!! His writing issues are just a bit different, Zander has quite a bit more going on than him but ultimately none of it is explored it depth. Luke just doesn't seem to do much at all in the present. The most story-important things I can think of him doing is that I feel like it's definitely implied from the seasons MV that Luke helps Zander push him out of his shell and has been doing so since they were kids, and he also tells Jake about Hailey's stage fright? Obviously your characters should aid eachother's growth but Luke barely does that and he still doesn't do much else... I will meditate on the idea and think more about what sort of thing I think will improve his character outside of the usual "just separate him and Zander" and not the very obvious "make him actually do something"
Very long submission again and I think I also might be a bit repetitive here... Sorry and please ignore any typos

Casting Svt as Characters in KDramas I’ve Watched
Masterlist || Taglist Form
Words: Around 900
Category: Fluff I guess
A/n: If you disagree w any of these, I’m always open for healthy discussion
Disclaimers:
a) A lot of these shows I watched a while ago so if any character descriptions are inaccurate, please drag me it’s okay.
b) Some characters are, of course, very different in age than the members but just go on the emotions, will ya?
c) Character descriptions are kept vague on purpose because I don’t want to give spoilers. Also, if I’ve given any major spoilers unintentionally, I apologise.
d) Spellings of Character names are from Wikipedia, so if you find any inaccuracies, pls lmk
Taglist: @junhui-recs @drunk-on-dk @wonuhour @enhacolor
Fic specific tags: @wonwussy @bitchlessdino hope you guys like it!
1. Choi Seungcheol as Lee Young-Joon in What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim
The strong male character with childhood trauma who doesn’t know what to do with his feelings once he realises the love of his life, whom he had never confessed to, is leaving him screams Seungcheol to me. He’s awkward with his feelings, reacts poorly when hearing the news, is a true leader who silently burdens not only his trauma, but also his brother’s.
2. Yoon Jeonghan as Park Chang-ho in Big Mouth
I think, of all the people in the world who can deceive a prison full of inmates that they’re a criminal mastermind and you shouldn’t mess with them, no one else would compare to Jeonghan. The professional lawyer, who is framed and sent to prison, is a good person at heart, and helps other suppressed inmates and leads a revolution. Jeonghan is particularly quick to think on his feet, which matches the character’s energy.
3. Hong Joshua as Kang Tae- Moo in Business Proposal
A cold CEO who is super averse to dating and and is busy running his business meets and instantly falls in love with a girl who is posing as her friend on this blind date to get rid of him. He is devoted to his family, his passion for his company’s food products is only matched by our heroine. He’s a great cook and is also kind of nosy in his little brother’s love life.
4. Wen Junhui as An Min-Hyuk in Strong Girl Bong Soon
The cute, funny gaming company CEO who hires our Bong Soon as a bodyguard just screams Jun to me, both because of his passion for games and gaming development but also for his endearingly cute and shy demeanour and the sense of humour. Plus actor Jun deserves a fun, cool and handsome role like this, considering we might never get to see his c drama :((
5. Kwon Soonyoung as Jung Joon-hyung in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo
Ok so this is the latest drama I’ve watched and Joonhyung’s passion and commitment for swimming instantly reminded me of Hoshi and his passion for dance. A bonus factor is the fact that after seeing In the Soop S2, I can confirm his….ahem…abdominal area can easily pass for a swimmer’s.
6. Jeon Wonwoo as Cha Sung-hoon in Business Proposal
Yeah I don’t think I need to explain this.
7. Lee Jihoon as Wi Seung-Huen in Rookie Cops
I’m sorry but Woozi as a trainee cop along with an initial e2f2l storyline???? Sign me uppppppp… Plus, this character is like the ace trainee along with having daddy issues and a strong sense of morality that builds over time. Just writing this is making me crave a Woozi remake of this show.
8. Xu Minghao as Myul Mang in Doom at Your Service
Minghao, I think, is the best person in the world who can bring doom to the world while looking fucking stylish and having an angsty emo personality. Fuck the humans, what even do they have. Xu minghao is literally here to end us all. Plus the later developments in the show and the emotions this characters develops….I’ll cry watching if Minghao was Myul Mang. Also, I feel like Minghao is the most supernaturally member in Svt- you know the one who is into Tarot cards and palm readings.
9. Kim Mingyu as Ji U-Min in The Fabulous
Ngl, the Going Magazine episode was a big factor while giving Mingyu this character. This super talented fashion and street photographer, who sometimes struggles to find his aim and is stuck in the friend zone after breaking up with the female lead is such Gyu vibe honestly. This man is so supportive, encouraging…and might I say relentless?
10. Lee Seokmin as Baek Hee- Sung in Flower of Evil
The beauty of Dark! Seokmin is something to behold, a fantasy I will never give up on. A bright, perfect husband in every sense of the way on the surface with a dark past and even darker present….. is….so…..hot. And his wife is a police officer? Yup yup add it to the drama. Mars’ serial killer DK fic has arisen a fantasy in me that i don’t think is going away anytime soon. Plus I’m a sucker for complicated, grey characters whose layers are revealed slowly as the series progresses. He’s almost an anti- hero here.
11. Boo Seungkwan as Lee Seung-cheon in The Golden Spoon
Another grey character, probably the most complicated character on this list. I think, for me, our Boo is also the most emotionally complex and mature guy in seventeen so I think this character really suits him. Our lead guy, is born into poverty but changes his luck, along with his family’s, by switching lives with the richest guy in his school. Complications, along with consequences, haunt him.
12. Chwe Hansol as Goo Chang-seong in Hotel Del Luna
I’m sorry but Vernon as this character??? In great looking suits and constantly in service of ghosts to help them finish their last wishes and peacefully transition to afterlife along with having… probably the most emotional love story ever…..yeah I need a minute, or a week.
13. Lee Chan as Kim Do-ki in Taxi Driver
Taxi driver is probably my favourite kdrama till date. And Dino as the sexy vigilante who takes revenge for people who the system can’t help is such a sexy concept. Action hero Dino to the rescue! Plus the main character plays so many roles undercover and is so hilarious at times that Dino will fit perfectly in this character’s shoes.

Gale’s Top Ten: Least favorite episodes of Miraculous Ladybug (as of season 5)
With Season 5 finished and my posting of my top 10 favorite episodes, it’s time I crank the meter the other way. Now some rules
1. Like always this is my personal opinion, and if you liked these episodes, that’s great. I would love to hear your reasoning
2. I will be judging them SOLELY of what was shown in the episode, not by any leaks that came out before or after. I’m solely judging on what is seen and confirmed
3. Word of warning, I will be pretty vicious with my critiques. Also profanities will be thrown.
Now before I go into them, I should give some congratulations to some episodes no longer in my bottom 10
Captain Hardrock: You are still a lame episode, but not the worst you are actually decent in comparison to some of these.
Stormy weather 2.0: Clip shows still are awful, but there are worst things
Frozer: In the grand scheme of things this episode really wasn’t important and there are worst character writing
___________________________________________
10.Sole Crusher
Revisiting this, it really isn’t a good episode for ML. I don’t know what was more Shoehorned in, Zoe’s character arc of replacing Chloé or the lucky charm.
It also makes little sense that Marinette would be the one pushing for Zoe considering her experience with Chloé and her family (especially after Season 5 revealed her trauma).
Now Zoe isn’t a bad character, but she will always be seen as the replacement Good bee, and she deserves better writing.
Honestly it could be argued Queen banana should be here, but that episode is too much of a s***post that I get more enjoyment out of it. This is trying to play this straight and it don’t feel right.
9. Qilin
This episode has a some things going for it, great akuma design, decent action. But it also has a ton going against it. It’s in a series of episodes I like to call Thomas’ gets political” and I will tell you this, he sucks at it.
I would try and explain further but I am aware I would butcher the topic, all that should be said is, racism tackled poorly and Marinette says she will pay for a ticket that her mother didn’t deserve to get in the first place.
Also the animation looks off in the episode, it just looks so bleh.
8. Migration
Remember that whole reveal that Luka knows both Ladybug’s and chat noir’s identities and how he kept that to himself?
Well that FINALLY gets addressed. And are Ladybug and chat noir mad at him? No. No consequences for him.
The whole episode acts like he is such an important character but this is one of 2 episodes he’s in where he has more than 2 lines.
Then he gets to travel the world with his dad because monarch found out he knows.
Kagami got akumatized twice and she knew Ladybug’s identity, step up your game Luka.
Also the fake out with Rose was bulls*** and everyone knows it.
Also the entire episode had everyone but Luka lacking brain cells.
I don’t rank it lower because while it annoyed me greatly, there are worse offenders on the list.
7. Animaestro
Astruc complains for 22 minutes that nobody cares about him anymore.
Also Marinette teams up with her bully which after watching Derision, WOULD BE THE LAST thing she would do.
This is the worst example of the Creator calling out the audience, There are other episodes like this but this one is the least entertaining. And if the ending of season 5 is concerned. “I’ve seen your writing, so I can FUCKING CRITIQUE IT YOU ARROGANT PIECE OF…”
Okay, I’m calm. Point being. It’s his call out the critics episode and it sucks
6. Furious Fu
I HATE Su Han.
He is a worse version of Fu in every stretch of the imagination.
The episode where Su han shows up and starts making demands is stupid. The only thing he has going for him is his fighting style which he never teaches the two people that could have needed it!
The episode isn’t lower because despite Su Han’s impact, he really doesn’t do much and he is just there to be a nag later on. Also Fu’s akuma looks dope as hell and gave Fu some slack.
5. Feast
So remember how Su han showed up in the last episode. Well he and all the other guardians were gone for over 100 years because they lost to a 4 Foot blue dog made by a hungry child.
This episode isn’t as bad as the others as a stand alone, but knowing the lore makes it sound so completely stupid. Like Fu was HAUNTED by his past and we find out it was because he was hungry when training and the guardians COULDNT handle that? All trained to fight miraculous users should they go rogue, couldn’t beat ONE DOG. The mysterious order is incompetent as heck.
It’s just so stupid. Also Fu was acting irrational af over all this didn’t help.
4.Reflekdoll
I want everyone to know how massive this is, Reflekdoll is no longer my least favorite episode.
For anyone that follows me, my SEETHING hatred of this episode is well documented.
I won’t go on about how the tropes were horribly done or ignored, how off the banter was, or even how stupid everyone is this episode. Because I’ve discussed it in length.
I will simply say, Thank God there is Passion, so if people want a GOOD kwami swap episode they can watch that one.
3. Miracle Queen
I’ve talked about this episode to death on here. But really the only flaws with it are the last half of the episode.
The drama of the first half is great. But the ass pull of a memory wipe, the clear degradation of Chloé’s character, and just the simple giving up of Hawkmoth, he could have easily still won if he pushed a bit longer. The ending was depressing but also a clear example of how the writers put themselves in a corner with no way out.
The only thing that makes it worse is Fu’s replacement (Su han) ends up being a worse teacher.
Also considering how they spent season 4 quickly getting Marinette and Adrien out of the relationships with the love rivals, even they realize it was a dumb call.
__________________________________________
2. Ephemeral
Hey, let’s make an episode to explain why Adrien can NEVER know his father is the villain.
This episode is the go to justification of the writers on why Adrien will always be sidelined. It was also the unofficial reveal of the sentimonster theory before it was said pretty much outright in season 5.
The worst akuma design. Marinette gaslighting, gate keeping chat noir at its worst.
Gabriel wins and gets his wish.
And none of it mattered and no one remembers it except I think Sass. So it was pretty much pointless.
Not even the ladrien and cute reveal could save it.
And don’t even get me started on how pointless and avoidable it is.
It’s almost funny because despite how pointless this was, it’s still better than number 1.
1. Re-creation
So many cool concepts, great designs. Marinette dropping a piano on Gabriel. So many great things. But it also had some flaws, like having Adrien sidelined, and the focus on heroes from the specials for practically no reason. But all of that could be forgivable if the ending lands…
It really shows how an AWFUL ending can fuck up everything.
Imagine having 5 seasons of fighting to stop a villain from getting the miraculous to make the wish only for him to WIN! Yes he wins. He gets to make the wish, you know the wish that was said should NEVER be used. Of all the stupid, asinine, Shark Jumping BULL SHIT. Who the fuck APPROVED THIS HORSE SHIT?!
So he gets his wish, and he gets a statue HONORING HIM. What the fuck? Adrien, who was ABUSED now sees his abuser as a hero and EVERYONE THAT KNOWS THE TRUTH IN HIS LIFE IS HIDING THE TRUTH FROM HIM. Nathalie, Marinette, Felix, Kagami. Even PLAGG!
And the whole utopia crap, everything is just perfect now, because the villain got what he wanted.
That’s a great lessons for kids! (Blatant Sarcasm)
But let’s really dig in, the ending left a LOT of things vague. And hilariously ALL OF THE POTENTIAL OUTCOMES ARE SHIT.
1. Emilie was revived and Nathalie got healed.
So Gabriel gets everything he wanted from the wish, justifying everything he did and he gets treated like a hero and another person hiding the truth from Adrien. Marinette knows everything that brought this about and is keeping that from Adrien, but is justified slightly because it could encourage Adrien to try and get his father back with a wish. Also brings up the question of who took Emile’s place.
2. Only Nathalie was healed.
Gabriel ended up with Emilie like he wanted, gets treated like a martyr, Adrien is technically an orphan, Marinette is knowingly lying to him about his father and Adrien continues to get Gaslit.
3. Emilie is revived, Nathalie is healed, and memories were altered
Gabriel’s wish basically shaped EVERYTHING how he wanted, meaning he is still in control of Adrien’s life even in death. Even his own wife. So while this removes Marinette covering for him intentionally, it just means Gabriel was so much worse.
4. Nathalie’s healed and memories altered
Gabriel gets to be with Emile and has shaped Adrien’s life even in death. Everyone basically puppeteer by him as he died. Sure he’s dead but he also retconned for his redemption, which is bullshit.
Now there are people that defend this ending/potential ending.
I’m sorry but, unless they revive Gabriel and he gets exposed, Adrien finds out the truth, and he gets held accountable for his actions. I can’t feasibly imagine this ending being good.
The writing staff aren’t going to do Anything about this, they are just going to move on to Lila as the main villain and say the Agreste plotline is over.
If they Do, do something, I’ll happily take back my words and alter my view of the episode but right now.
It’s one of the WORST season finale’s I’ve seen in my life.

THE WHOLE THING IS COMPLETE NOW LETS GOOO
And remember I'll be explaining half of it except for the "trauma" part (wont go very deep into it unless you want me to-) because you guys are so sensitive that you can't even handle a damn topic properly instead of learning of how to read a warning instead of ignoring it! So yeah if you get sensitive and stuff. NOT my responsibility, cry about it bozo.
Side note: the "trauma" explanation is ALSO on the document so I won't be mentioning that to avoid drama or controversy.
Unless I can mention a few things like the word "bruises" or something like that. so hopefully this doesn't cause drama in the fandom.
So anyway TW for POORLY GRAMMAR, CA, religion, some yucky theme, etc.
You have been warned-
Before I explain it I would like to inform you that this timeline or "past" was inspired by a random episode from the 1st season were explains why Krupp has always been a "grumpy bully" and reveals his "mother" and her real name.
So instead of a grumpy bully this version is way different compared with the original episode from the show.
Not to mention this timeline is heavily inspired by Bojack Horseman and Moral Orel. and a little inspired by the GS au, a silly and interesting au created by warrior of waistbands/hey-hey "J" (Ps. Check out their au and artwork. They are cool ^^)
Don't want them to block me if they find out I enjoy their artwork and find out about my stuff as well just like the creator of the sticky note au did for no apparent reason :((
Gp's Childhood (?)
Pretty sure you are confused and asking yourself what happened or how did this happen before Gp!krupp himself became a villain in this AU. Well allowed me to explain.
Ben was a regular kid who lived in a place that was kinda similar to a farm. Sorta. Just like the other kids, he was just normal except he didn't have a good and healthy relationship with his family after what happened.
When Ben was 7-8 years old he would always hear and watch his parents argue and fight over things. Meanwhile Jasper was 0-1 months old which sadly he didn't remember what his dad looks like back then.
A few days later Bernice and her husband got a divorce, the 1st reason was because Bernice was toxic and would constantly almost hit him. She was also abusive towards him. Even if the husband wanted to visit his kids, Bernice refused to share the custody with him.
The other reason was because she didn't like the fact he was a jew. Bernice was raised by christians and her mother always told her that people who are in that religion could not be trusted. Because of that, she wanted a divorce over that. Again Ben and Jasper were too young and didn't understand the reason behind the divorce.
2 years later Benjamin turned 10 years old and is in 4th grade. However, his relationship with his mom was terrible. He thought that maybe she was stressed but he was wrong. Every time he wanted to talk his mom would yell and throw insults at Ben. Saying that she regretted having him and wished he had NEVER been born in the first place. Bernice would also say that it's his fault that she didn't have time to get an abortion
Of course, the little buddy was hurt by it as maybe his hatred toward Bernice was slowing growing back then.
꒷꒦︶︶︶꒷꒦︶∪∪︶꒷꒦︶︶︶꒷꒦
September 3, ????: Ben had a bad time trusting people, especially Bernice. His mom kept on judging and yelling at him for not being good enough. Bernice would always compare him with her husband, saying he is just like HIM and he will never be good enough.
Bernice also gaslights and manipulates the child, especially guilt-tripping him to the point Ben can't even focus on his schoolwork.
Until that day she decided to sign him up to a church without thinking. She could've asked Ben for permission but instead, she decided to sign it and say it was for the "best". Ben didn't like going in there but unfortunately, Bernice had to guilt-trip the child again and say she will send hurt him if he disobeyed.
The place was called "The Valley Church Sidney Piqua", also known as "Valley Church" for short.
Bernice thought that place was fun for her son since a friend of hers suggested her sign him up there so he can spend time with other children.
Which gone wrong uh-
꒷꒦︶︶︶꒷꒦︶∪∪︶꒷꒦︶︶︶꒷꒦
Ben hated that place so much, he didn't like people, and he hates being recorded or watched by the nuns. He hates the fact his mom is shoving those in his throat. Before that "activity" started he met the priest, Levi Smith. One of his mom's friends (well future husband I suppose? Like lovers or whatever). The man himself was glad to see the child in person and introduced himself. Again Ben (gp) didn't like the place. He wasn't interested. He just wanted to finish his work.
Days and weeks passed and Benjamin was slowly feeling like the priest was like a father to him.
No matter how much he despises Levi, the man makes him less comfortable. The problem he had with the man was that he kept staring at him nonstop. It's always the unwanted and uncomfortable touch and unnecessary questions. He thought it was how christians treat others and thought it was stupid. But sadly things got worse when Levi encouraged him to follow him to his office to have a "serious conversation" and...
I'll let you guys guess. Not gonna reveal it at all. (OR should I???)
After the experience
He has stopped talking to his mom to avoid being stared at and judged by her as usual. It was pretty painful for him to hold it.
He didn't know if he needed to go to a hospital or not. Still didn't know if he was gonna diagnosed with something worse like a disorder or an infection after THAT.
4-5 days passed (September 8th) and he started to behave differently. He couldn't concentrate or focus. Everything that surrounds him scares him. The cross, the kindergarteners, everything reminds him of the priest and those people. it haunts him.
According to his History teacher, Ben gets easily triggered and hides under the damn table. Others say the little buddy responds aggressively when someone touches or speaks to him
The principal and the teacher tried their best to have a meeting with Bernice about her son's new behavior. Bernice, being sarcastic and unaware, said that's him being a little scumbag for attention but the principal didn't agree with that statement and tried to convince her to visit a therapist for the kid. Unfortunately, Bernice refuses to do that because she doesn't wanna go broke and waste money on something that Ben "doesn't" need and he seems normal to her.
She then asked herself why the fuck would he need that if he's very normal? Maybe he's been a little bastard- nah not really. Her goofy cowgirl egg-shaped ass was still unaware. Maybe Ben was being dramatic and problematic after finding out about the divorce between her and the father.
After the meeting Bernice was pissed off. She didn't wanna waste her time having another conversation with a staff over the same topic. She was sick and tired of receiving concerning and worrying comments from the teacher when it comes to Ben.
Bernice had a enough that ended up doing the worst thing. Harming the living shit out of Ben as a punishment. She didn't care if it's physical or not.
꒷꒦︶︶︶꒷꒦︶∪∪︶꒷꒦︶︶︶꒷꒦
Day 9 (September 17): sadly no positive changes. Still the same. Well.. except for his hatred towards Bernice. It grew more than last month plus his trauma making it more than "little".
(Keep in mind He is STILL 10 and will be 11 next year) things were hard. Still can't focus on schoolwork or chores. He even had to babysit Jasper for his mom every Sunday when she went to church. Well just to visit her belove Mr. Smith /j
The day gets worse as usual. Yeah like always. Ben was aware that soon his school would have a Halloween party but he didn't want to know what would happen if SHE found out about it.
After babysitting Jasper, he felt stressed. His mom came at 6PM when she promised she would be at 10 AM. I guess she lied.
Bernice was only giving him a dead stare. Not saying a word. That made Ben feel less secure. Not sure if what she's thinking of him now.
꒷꒦︶︶︶꒷꒦︶∪∪︶꒷꒦︶︶︶꒷꒦
September 18, ????: Things were the same, Ben acting strange and traumatized after what happened. He wasn't in the mood to be with people and wanted to be alone.
He felt gross. He feels dirty. He feels disgusting and nasty. He didn't know how to feel after that. Ben wished he never met HIM or at least defend himself but it was too late to do that. he wanna forget the things he experienced
He hates his body so much. He hates seeing bruises and bite marks all over his body and neck. He hates it so much. Later that day he finally met someone who will always make him happy for the first time.
Theodore (ted), the new student.
That day was odd but special. He didn't like the kid that much, Theodore seemed annoying to him but hey! It was slowly making Ben less happy that someone like Ted understood him but still didn't trust him that much.
Weeks passed and they know each other perfectly and became friends. Even tho Ted was a friend to him, he was slowly developing an attraction toward Theodore. He didn't wanna confess it yet, he was worried his mom would find out and scold him for it.
He didn't know how to feel. Yet he does feel a bit clingy towards him sometimes.
꒷꒦︶︶︶꒷꒦︶∪∪︶꒷꒦︶︶︶꒷꒦
October 31st: it was a cold night, it was Halloween. Ben was getting ready to go outside like the others, he went downstairs to see if dinner was ready but LMFAO. I guess things can get worse
The priest was in the kitchen along with Bernice. He didn't say a word. Only staring at the priest with disgust and hatred after what he has done to him. To make it work Jasper was with them. His brother was 2 months old (sorta???) and seeing him next to the priest made Ben sick in the stomach. Bernice wanted Ben to upstand what was best for him but he immediately left the house without eating, not wanting to listen to her excuses.
He was now walking outside. He didn't understand how his mom was unaware of what Levi did. But decided to go trick-or-treating to forget about it.
Few hours later: The stressed and overwhelmed boy was still walking around to find candies in a different direction until he saw the church. That was the place where his mom signed him.
Just by looking at it, the place makes him grossed out and wishes that place and the priest never existed in the first place. Then he thought of a random idea, he remembered some random neighbor accidentally giving him a candle inside of a chocolate bar so he picked up the candle from the bag and grabbed the matches
Before he attempted to throw the candle at it, Ben was interrupted by a simple "Hello" from behind. Just
Theodore. Ben nervously blushed and didn't know he was there. Maybe he was waiting for him. Who knows. Ted was happy and said he was excited to see him again. He looked at the candle and asked him about it. Ben explained and Ted was confused yet not really aware what it means.
Soo..Ted grabbed his hand and ran with him with a smile to start their first adventure cuz why not?
Ben accidentally dropped the candle (which he put the fire on) to the ground, slowly burning the place by itself as the two boys ran away laughing to enjoy their night.
꒷꒦︶︶︶꒷꒦︶∪∪︶꒷꒦︶︶︶꒷꒦
Lucky for him, he was happy to be with Ted. Minutes later they both head to a random place to eat and sit somewhere-
And that's where Ben begins to confess his feelings to him and explains how much he likes him.
Then Ted understood that and confessed back. they both became a couple and dated.
They have been together for almost 2-3 years of happiness. Ted was like a missing puzzle and made his day happy. Without him and his warm comforting smile, he wouldn't be happy.
Sadly it didn't last forever because Bernice didn't like their relationship and tried to solve it by separating them :(
Past childhood relationships
Very sad honestly. Did we talk about his relationship with his mom right? Yeah, we did. But there are a few things I'd like to add.
Bernice: not only she's abusive and manipulative. She's also strict. Bernice would get easily pissed at Ben for having Bs something scolding him for not working hard. her to stop.
She throws tomatoes at him whenever he gets a B or for not being good enough- sometimes strangling him with a noose or leaving cigarette burn on his skin or using a branding iron at him. "Oopsie my bad I was joking lmfao lemme check it out-"
Had to make him milk the cows,,,, yes we have cows in this au,,,,wow. Idk how to feel about this.
Just like the episode except a little more... uh...hear me out 🗣🗣🗣 /JK JK
Jasper: the two-month-old brother YIPPE. silly babeh cuz Ben is the older brother
Whenever he's being watched by Ben, he acts like a little gremlin and makes a mess 24/7.
Even tho Ben's relationship with Jasper is just chaotic. Well stupid, he can't blame him, he is aware he is toddler so I don't get why it's necessary to yell at jasper- 💀
Present
Aw yes. The past is the past and we move on to the present now. we have the grown-ass Gp who is a principal and tries his best to focus and he has a different religion, Judaism.
Unfortunately, the childhood trauma still haunts him nowadays. His meds don't work that well and has a major anger issue, sorta. Like I mentioned in a very old post about Gp!Krupp, unlike the OG Netflix Krupp, he still has some sort of IQ since childhood and if we add the current IQ that he has after becoming a villain it's...well high?
Thanks to the smartychanger200, aka the invention that Melvin made and accidentally shot Krupp with, he managed to gain more intelligence...but you know...he then managed to get more by stealing Melvin's IQ and combining it with his uh...big fuckery but that's how it happened,,, uh- /Srs /gen
So, uh...after all, he is still a murderous principal, a walking red flag, I must say. The man himself cam get a little too silly, and should be careful if you interact with him 🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️☝️🤓

🔥favorite and least favorite doctor who episodes (if you can choose at all lol)
OUGH this is hard... can i do top five and bottom five maybe
bottom five:
let's kill h*tler. do i need to explain this one? i don't think i need to explain this one
spyfall part 2. i don't think i need to explain this one either.
girl in the fireplace. i know that's the one my pfp is from. rose is just so pretty in it. anyway. it's a poorly written episode that gets way too much praise, not to mention just how painfully ooc everyone is. you can really feel how much moffat hates rose in that one. and also it feels so gross when you think about how the real madame de pompadour was groomed from age 6 to be a king's consort and basically allowed no agency in her life whatsoever, coupled with moffat's weird obsession with "someone meets the doctor as a little kid and grows up to be obsessed with him" is so painfully... icky.
kill the moon. outside of being an awful episode with a weirdly anti abortion message, it's the episode that made SO MANY PEOPLE give up on my baby girl twelve. if you stopped watching twelve because of that episode i'm begging you on my knees to give him another shot his era is so so good other than a couple stinkers.
legend of the sea devils. i cannot even begin to express my sheer hatred for this episode. everything about it sucks so so bad and i'm beating it with hammers in my mind 24/7. it's just everything i hate about the chibnall era coalesced into one steaming pile of dogshit.
top five:
heaven sent. sorry to be basic but. heaven sent. i love it so much it's so perfect. and reading it through a classics lens makes it even better. i'm planning on doing the capstone for my degree (partly) on this episode as a modern representation of katabasis. the acting, the music, rachel talalay's directing, g-d. it's so good.
dalek. honestly every single one of nine's episodes fuck so hard and i don't dislike a single one of them. but eccleston really acted his ass off in this one and it's such a wonderful exploration of the doctor's time war trauma. it's the only episode that manages to make daleks scary. rose is amazing in it. "it's not the one pointing a gun at me" and "and what about you, doctor? what the hell are you changing into?" "oh rose. they're all dead" OUGHHHH. the ending hits so fucking hard.
mummy on the orient express. i think i'm legally obligated to put this one on my top five because i have watched it nearly a dozen times this year alone. it's such a good episode. great monster. clara and the doctor both get to be incredibly bisexual. it's the one episode of doctor who in which the phrase "sex machine" exists. what more could you possibly ask for.
the christmas invasion. it's sooooo good it's so good. it's tied with the husbands of river song as my favorite christmas special, but it's higher on my list of Overall Episodes. if that makes sense. again rose is incredible in it. david tennant makes the entrance of all time. they're so in love and so fucking stupid about it. song for ten... well i woke up today... and the world was a restless plaaaace.... it could have been that way for me........
the pilot. bill is gorgeous and perfect and wonderful. twelve being a wacky professor was the best choice anyone has ever made. it's like a crash course in doctor who but also a fun and well made episode with absolutely gorgeous music. i love it i love it i love it. murray gold put the s10 soundtrack on spotify right now.
it's so hard limiting myself to just five... i'm sure i'll think of an episode tomorrow and be like DAMN that should have been on the list... but that's okay <3
#i wanted to put turn left on the top 5 list because i truly love it#but i don't rewatch it as much as the other ones because it makes me sad </3#doctor who#send me a 🔥 and a topic and i’ll say an unpopular opinion

Clay being the show’s punching bag and how obvious it is the show had something against him. (but I poorly explain HOW):
S1 just kinda exists, other then the fact he was the first one to get physically attacked by monsters and lost someone who he looked up to in a singular episode is actually insane.
Not much going for ep 2/3 but justice for his service provider, no wonder he hated it.
Ep 4 was “let’s see how dislikable we can make clay” /nsrs (let him go.. god forbid a character be neurodivergent for a whole episode)
5/6 just kinda exist, free him from the golden castle production however.. my man wanted OUT.
7/8 just kinda exist.. uh. yeah.
My god, he really had it 9/10 though, my guy was quite LITERALLY targeted by the lava monsters.
s2 kinda just exists.. but he was full on bullied ep 16 (I mean I guess that was kinda the point, but come on man..)
episode 17 is an episode that very much exists, it’s there and that’s all that matters I guess.
20 is just “clay nearly becomes a fucking sacrifice to monstrox, so let’s nearly kill his uncle.. AGAIN!”
season 3.
Season 4 isn’t that bad.. he isn’t suffering as badly i suppose. (except the fact he’s a walking slab of granite)
uh. he’s been through a bit maybe.. just a few things. (perhaps he needs slight therapy or some shit idk)
#nexo knights#clay moorington#justice for my guy dude..#when the nexo knights are no longer nexo ing?!?#poor clay being the s3 punching bag is so real tbh..

Murder Drones Summarized & Explained
youtube
It's not quite a Murder Drones for beginners, but it should hopefully be helpful towards making sense of the MD lore thus far.
Currently also hope to release a Google Doc version that's more of a true Guide to Murder Drones.
Apologies for how long this took and the amateur nature of the video. I drastically underestimated the amount of effort and time that would go into this. General life, exams, and a few hospital trips courtesy of my low-quality immune system and poorly designed eustachian tubes certainly didn't help my schedule.
As you can probably imagine, isolating myself from all things Murder Drones and the community to get this done was torturous. At least I'll have episode 7 or a teaser for it as my post-isolation reward.

Hi, I was just wondering if technical difficulties is abandoned?
I hope you’re doing well!
*drops in after 5 years and 4 months with a technical difficulties chapter update*
*disappears*
cover art made by @angel-gidget ♡
03/08/23. HELLO, HELLO, HELLO, ALL, LONG LONG LONG TIME, NO SEE. ♡ Can you believe it? When I first published this story (first to tumblr, then to ao3), I had just moved to Japan! When I posted ch. 7, I was still living in Japan, and would stay there for another 7ish months... and in the 5 years and 4 months since posting the last chapter, I have moved to three different cities in the United States and started a Ph.D. program. (I am currently halfway through my PhD program!!!!!) What a wild ride. Also, we lived through the pandemic?! And I bought a house! Over the summer! The market was vicious.
So, then how did I get the inspiration/time/energy/motivation to write Ch. 8, you ask? Marvelous question. I lied down in bed last night to go to sleep "early" and ended up reading an utterly hilarious play-by-play commentary on Bad Books, Good Times of a popular fantasy novel series—and I'm not quite sure what it was about "poorly written books explained by hilariously clever book lovers" but I suddenly had a craving for fanfiction, so I opened up my Books app on my phone, and my eyes fell upon a sudden recommendation for my downloaded copy of technical difficulties. And I thought, "Am I suddenly and weirdly in the mood to jot down some notes to start Ch. 7 right now? By golly, I think I am."
4.5 hours later, I'd written the whole damn thing from scratch on my phone in my Notes app. (Messily! Half-assed! But I wrote all of it down!) I then spent another 6.5 hours today filling in the gaps and "editing." This chapter (and the one that will follow it) has been in my head for more than half a decade, but I just haven't had the space to get it out until now!!
I think one of the most beautiful parts of getting a PhD is how completely it blows your perfectionism tendencies utterly to bits, and one of the really interesting byproducts that has come up in my acdemic writing is just how quickly I can crank out decent-enough writing (skill-building!!). In my case, I think so much of it has to do with just being able to word vomit fairly well while not trying to fix anything until the whole damn thing is basically done. So, I applied that knowledge here! Behold!
This isn't to say that I'll be writing the final chapter anytime soon—I may be on spring break right now and may have had a stroke of Writing Inspiration in the Wild™ last night, but I'm still finishing my last semester of classes and learning advanced Python and working on my milestone paper for my doctoral program and preparing to present at my next conference in June and preparing my proposal for my dissertation next fall. BUT! The important thing is that I will post the last chapter of this story (and all my other stories)! Eventually!! ;)
No BETA for this chapter because I gotta THROW this out onto the internet and get back to coding, so bear with! I may do minor edits for it in the near or distant future. Also, please note that I have not watched any episodes of Miraculous Ladybug after the finale of Season 1, so this fic is very much a ~time capsule~ from the past. If there is any additional lore that might otherwise apply to the plot of this fic, please know that I don't know about it, and I am keeping myself selectively ignorant on all matters of Miraculous Ladybug season 2 and beyond until after I finish this story the way I originally intended. ♡ Woo!
as for, tumblr, sadly, to be honest, I'm never really online anymore! I'll respond to comments here on ao3 ASAP, though. ♡ LOVE YOU ALL, THANK YOU. ♡♡♡

Okay so how exactly do I start this umm this is my first official RWDE post like ever that isn't a reblog off another post so bear with me I am going to be tagging people I follow because I want to hear their thoughts and open a dialogue @kitkatopinions @itsclydebitches @ironwoodprotectionsquad @rwbyconversations @rosekushina @bad-food-sells-burgers @rwde-chibi @dragynkeep
First and foremost I've had no interest in volume 9 I don't know why but I was more invested in volume 7 then v9 I thought volume 7 first to second half was mid and boring. From what I've heard volume 9 is poorly written after seeing criticism for it and watching the episodes yeah I can see why the majority of the volume feels like filler
Personal feelings aside I have a question why was Weiss Blake and Yang and jaune in this volume legitimately why were they there one of the writers I believe Eddie talked about how this volume was about failure and self acceptance basically this is supposed to be Ruby volume the one where she finally develops for the longest time Ruby always felt underdeveloped .
So wouldn't make more sense if this volume only had Ruby fall in the ever after let this be a character study of Ruby centering her as the main protagonist for this volume
Weiss Blake Yang and jaune all had character arcs Weiss learning to break away from her father Blake learning running from your problems doesn't help Yang learning to get her spark back all happened in volume, 4
Jaune learned to grieve phyrra death for three volumes
Ruby never had a character arc so for a volume that should be about failure Ruby should be the only one there narrative wants you to believe Ruby feels underwhelmed by the responsibilities of others the one to always come up with the plans Ruby has always been the one with the most moral compass out everyone what if Ruby question her morality questioned if she was right or wrong questioned if ironwood was right dealing with the fall of beacon not just atlas
In my volume 9 rewrite ( more like a rough outline) Ruby fall through the void with neo
Now why neo well volume 9 neo doesn't feel like a character in fact neo in general doesn't feel like a character neo is only popular because of her design semblance and fighting style. V9 neo is a plot device so Ruby can unlive herself neo wanting revenge for Roman is never explored because the show never explored either of their characters why does neo feel so strong for Roman all of these questions are answered in a book that is never truly addressed in the show in my v9 rewrite
Neo is told by Ruby herself she didn't kill romen I always found it odd how neo was so quick to believe cinder like cinder is more likely to kill romen then Ruby ever could
.the two are forced to work together to put aside their differences to help each other out
.I also toyed with the idea of neo and Ruby sort of leaning on each other in a sense that they learned to be more open with each other and sort of learning to cope with one another
I would also introduce Alex and Louise changed their stories to my knowledge of the volume it never explains how the twins ended up in the ever after I would have it to where tht twins were being evacuated and because of cinder the siblings fall into the void
I would also provide proper characterization of the twins Louis is a silver eyed who was being forced to become a huntsmen by his father who's also a silver eyed warrior Louis was a prodigy and natural gifted he is considered to be a model student and son
But Louis never wanted to be a huntsman he doesn't like fighting I like the idea that he always wanted to be a make-up artist but his father saw it as too feminine Louis from an early age had toxic masculinity placed on him
Alex wasn't a silver eyed warrior she was more like a tomboy and liked to do boy things but since they grew up in Atlas that was seen as weird and unladylike she wasn't considered talented at all and her father never really bonded with her favouring Alex
.I like to think Alex resented Louis for being the favorite I also imagine that she was to be married off to a wealthy family basically Alex was kinda like Weiss but worse she had no real freedom
The twins meet Ruby and neo I imagine that Louis and Ruby feel a connection as silver eyed warriors
I would also change the jabberwalker to be the main antagonist with intelligence manipulating the cat to do its dirty work befriending the group picking them apart starting with Alex who i feel wouldn't want to leave the ever after because of the freedom it grants her
So yeah this is my sorta rewrite of volume 9 it's a rough outline but I am interested in seeing how others feel about this or how they would rewrite volume 9

what if:
fictional television show within the Cyanverse
a science-fiction family show, a la Star Trek or Doctor Who
about a gang of space pirates who adopt this random alien kid floating about in space (the 'alien' is just a normal furry with a googly eye headband because special effects are sorely lacking)
they set off on a quest to find the home of this alien kid
every episode they end up on a new planet and get into wacky hijinks
I'm definitely going for the '80s-90s show that has it's charms but is also quite problematic at points'
of the cast there would probably be:
1) heroic macho captain with a tragic backstory. the crew don't even know his real name and just call him Captain
2) 'emotions are for the weak' scientist with a tacky, vaguely German-sounding name. Dr Quarkenstein. That's not his real name. I don't think he even has a PhD. He tries to experiment on alien kid and it's played for laughs but in retrospective it's actually super fucking awful
3) femme fatale fighter who somehow ends up in compromising positions because of course. Writers try to make her and the Captain fall in love and it doesn't work and everyone can tell it's a poorly disguised ploy to stop people from shipping the Captain with Dr Quarkenstein. would make a great lesbian if the show allowed her to be
4) weapons expert who smokes 20 space cigarettes a day. has been through a lot of shit. has gotten the show in trouble a few times because of scenes where she makes bombs and chemical weapons in very excruciating detail
5) pilot and navigation expert who is very clumsy and presses the wrong button from time to time which is probably the reason why they get into so many hijinks in the first place. at some point it is revealed that he's been doing this on purpose in order to prolong the Adventure. a hopeless romantic and a terrible flirt. probably has some uncomfortable scenes with femme fatale
6) mechanic who stays on the ship and therefore does not get into as many hijinks. very chilled out except when someone messes with the ship, then he goes bezerk and shape shifts into a deadly space monster, and everyone then knows Not To Fuck With The Mechanic
7) alien kiddo. very sad wet and pathetic. filled with wonder about the universe and questions about where they came from. basically a proxy for the audience in the show for the space pirates to explain the space stuff to. textually non-binary but the writer were only able to get away with it because they're an alien.
8) the ship. an artificial intelligence with no gender identity but everyone treats her as if she were a woman. presented by the show as the 'mother bear' who loves her crew and would pilot herself and bring out all the lasers to save them if they got lost without her. can be a bit cheeky.
I know I'm leaning into stereotypes here, but that is kind of the point of what niches the show is supposed to fill
I decided some months ago that homophobia and sexism were canon (because indeed, before then I had been operating on the idea of 'the furries just never had these things', but that was kind of boring) so that's why the writers of this show are so wacky...damn...the one writer who managed to make alien kid nonbinary is fighting for their life out here lol
anyway I think Bjorn and Helga (and probably the rest of the science gang, although they didn't know each other at the time) watched this show when they were kids, through to their teens, and it helped to spark their love for science. I imagine they both had a crush on the Captain and would fight over him.
Caliburn probably related to Dr Quarkenstein a little too much
Zenith probably spent every episode wishing that the femme fatale and the weapons expert got together, and then texted Bjorn about homophobia whenever an episode ended with no results.
Fenrir would probably go hard for one specific episode where they encounter Dinosaurs In Space or something and only think about that, and then someone asks him if he likes the show and he says 'yeah' and then they ask him about something other than that episode and he doesn't know what they are talking about because he only remembers that episode
Jake never really sought out the show, but rather was exposed to it through Zenith. Looking back on it he realises the mechanic is basically just him...
Damien was probably just a casual fan who had it on in the background while he played with his Cyanverse equivalent of Hexbugs, and so couldn't name you a single character from the show, although he swears he's watched it
Noon didn't watch it growing up as they didn't have access to television, but knows all about it from Zenith. they think the femme fatale is cute

I was tagged by @according2thelore to complete a supernatural seasons tier list! thank you for the tag :D
my (subjective and depends on my mood) ranking:
I know others will disagree with me on this but I think season 3-5 are better than seasons 1-2 ^^;
I like shows with a strong plot arc to connect across the MotW format, and season 3-5 have major plot elements in a way that s1 just... doesn't? in general I think s1 is still figuring out its plot pacing, even if it has a special place in my heart. i generally only rewatch a handful of eps unless i'm doing a full rewatch so? season 2 is exceptional but i don't know, the show only hits as hard as it does for me in the more plot-connected episodes (except playthings. maybe playthings alone justifies it being in the s-tier. hmm...)
season 9, contentious and could probably knock down a tier depending on my mood because i have some beef with the retconning and other decisions made but. but sam got double-possessed. i am weak to that, okay? it was disturbing and sexy and the entire fucked up gaslighting plot was absolutely horrible in a very fun way that i ate up like candy.
s11 could maybe go up a tier for me because absolute married bros, but to be completely honest, i didn't like amara. like at all. that plot fell completely flat for me.
i don't think i need to explain s6, 7, 13, 14, or 15's placement here. jack is a redeeming factor, to my surprise, but overall at this point i'm just watching for the brother scenes and tuning out almost everything else.
it's complicated:
s12, fascinating concepts poorly executed. there's a secret better s12 laying underneath the actual s12 we got, if we scrape the surface off the existing s12 and just keep its bones. i live for the potential s12 had and all the incredible things it could have done and been if andrew dabb was more of a proper sicko.
s8? the first half, especially the first few eps, are completely unwatchable. the trials arc is incredible. it's complicated.
