trying not to think too much about the performance review I had yesterday or I will rage quit
#i actually got great feedback from my manager#but i said (again) that i want a promotion#i said i *need* a promotion. financially#and she was like “i just want to manage your expectations”#girl it's been 3 years!!#for context. it's fairly common for people in other teams to be promoted after like. 1/1.5 years lol#i've literally been asked why I had not been promoted yet during an interview with another company last year#like that's how weird it is#and my manager was like... well everyone would like a promotion...#(everyone already GOT a promotion. at least once)#she brought up another guy as an example. girl he's been promoted 4 times in 5 years!! are you serious#do you not. understand the situation#AND THEN she said... “and we need to be fair to (guy who's just been hired)”#EXCUSE YOU?#what does he have to do with my promotion he's been here for like 4 months??#i think they want to promote him lol.
