they had a pop up pageant at church this morning and the baby got to be a donkey and stood there the whole time looking solemn and occasionally readjusting his little donkey hat and afterwards we asked him if he had fun being in the pageant and he said seriously "yeah. I was watching the recording of la forza at la scala di milano, which opened this year's season, and leonora's dad's death was so funny, he was sitting at his desk (why??) and alvaro put down the gun in front of him ON THE DESK and it just went off and shot him in the chest. hilarious. cartoon character death
