I think if I were to put Percy in an alternate house Id actually make him a puff

like i get where people are coming from with he's ambitious = he's Slytherin like yeah makes sense

but I think i could make the same argument with He's hardworking = he's Hufflepuff

though this is more for like outside reasons

If he (or any Weasley really) was put in Slytherin i think the rest of the family would really not take it well at all

I wont say to extent of outright disownment but the way that person would be treated would be way worse especially by their siblings

that disappointment would be there with any house tbh but with like Hufflepuff it gets turned into a small thing

I tend to believe that Gevanni not appearing in the A-Kira shot (and for like one panel in the C-Kira one) isn't done deliberately. I guess he did his job so well during the Kira case that Ohba found no other purpose in his character other than being The guy who made an exact copy of the Death Note for one night™. But there is something very ironic about how he is also the SPK member who has "unreasonable superiors" in his dislikes in H13, you can't help but see it as foreshadowing.

I occasionally see posts/get messages about the various harry potter references in the bright sessions, etc. and I've gotten a bunch of new followers recently so just so any new/younger listeners of my shows know:

jk rowling is a terrible transphobe whom I hold zero respect for and I haven't given a dime of my money to her since she revealed who she truly is. I want the whole bright universe to be a safe space for trans people (including the trans folks in our cast and crew!) and if I could go back and remove those references, I would. but I can't! harry potter was an extremely significant part of my life until...well, until it became very clear who she really was. it makes me so sad to think that folks might be finding TBS now and get thrown out of the story by these references, but just know that the people who made the show do not stand by jk, and that in many ways, the show is a product of its time.

y'know what we don't talk about enough? Hazel died. We talk about how she grew up in the 30's and 40's and we talk about how out of place she feels in the modern world, but! She died! She was dead! She has spent more time dead than alive, and not by a close margin!

How does that effect a person??? We got some of it in the flashbacks, but once those caught up with her present timeline and she shared them, they just kind of... disappeared. And she was a regular girl with some weird past experiences. That's one way of doing it, sure!

I think it would have been a lot cooler if she was just a touch creepier. If she felt a little bit Wrong. Yeah, in general she's more approachable than her brother, she's more sociable and less closed off, but. If you actually spend any time with her, it can be difficult to tell which child of the underworld is actually more unsettling.

Hazel is bright of personality and has a dazzling smile, but sometimes she'll just... shut down. She'll go completely blank for like half an hour and nobody knows what to do with it. Sometimes she forgets she's alive. Sometimes she'll spout the grimmest shit you've ever heard like it's nothing, she won't even notice it's weird until the room goes quiet. She spent decades in Asphodel, which is designed to make people forget about themselves and wander around for eternity, only she didn't have the luxury of forgetting! Wild! After she comes back to life, sometimes she forgets that she's allowed to Do Stuff now. She can spend so long sitting and staring at nothing. Sometimes she'll start crying on cloudless days because it hits her again that she can actually feel the warmth of the sun on her skin and she can hear birdsong. Every little mundane experience is a blessing and she will make you remember that in the most foreboding way possible.

I don’t know about you guys, but I absolutely love the idea of Bowser being the most fearsome creature in the entire galaxy to the point where he can very easily scare anyone into giving him what he wants because he is just so scary and terrifying.

And yet, when it comes to Luigi, a shy and cowardly little plumber, it is actually Bowser who is the more nervous one.

wasnt planning on posting this since kaerion is an unfinished character BUT i like the movement in these doodles so i am going to

here is how i would imagine a meeting between meredil and one of his older siblings, kaerion, would go. kind of a venomous mer, and the most extremist out of all of meredil's siblings. he has some very choice words about mere no longer affiliating himself with the dominion.

meredil doesnt go out of his way to contact his siblings out of fear that something like this would happen (and even though kaerion happens to be an edge case and probably the worst of his siblings to encounter randomly, meredil is still somewhat considered a hulkynd. he was an abnormal child growing up, with 8 years of his childhood spent nonverbal, and strongly refusing to adhere himself to established rules).

i can imagine they actually probably got along well during their adolescence, and though they were only a few years apart, mere very much looked up to kaerion. the venom and rivalry started when they joined the thalmor's cause, and drifted apart, though most of the competitiveness was on kaerion's part. a mixture of hearsay, familial gossip and a steady drip feed of thalmori propaganda regarding mental and physical disabilities warped his perception of meredil as the years passed, and completely shattered any respect left for him when he eventually heard meredil had abandoned his position in skyrim.

meredil misses the time they spent as children but recognizes that kaerion does not feel the same way towards him any more
