also i am begging for people to realize that the "everything is canon" post from the sonic twitter account was a joke. it annoys me so bad that people use that tweet as a source in their arguments about sonic lore and stuff or just take it seriously at all ..... it literally means nothing it was just a silly comment they made when retweeting sonic and puyo puyo tetris crossover art but people always crop out the context when reposting it

This sums up exactly how I feel about most transition timelines. As much as they reflect people's experiences, they are also a narrative. And the narratives that get shared the most tell a lot about what our values are. The timelines that get the most attention are the ones where people go from sad, loser, nothing boys into beautiful women.

But if you go to /r/transitiontimelines or a similar place, and sort by controversial or look at what has the least likes, its people who made timelines when they still don't 'pass' yet. Even if they're happy as can be, that's not what people are looking for.

I think it says a lot about what people expect from trans women, that they only want to see us be beautiful. In some cases, that they want to believe they can be beautiful. So there is no value in trans life if you're not beautiful.

Just finished Sea of Stars! Wow, what a phenomenal game. Everything was so well crafted and I can tell a huge amount of love went into it.

I got the standard ending, which did feel somewhat anticlimactic but not enough for me to find whatever the glowing pillars it showed me are right now. The internet already spoiled for me what happens in the game's secret ("true") ending, so there's no reason to go further into that for now.

I felt like the ending I got made a lot of sense for the world and characters, and I loved seeing Elder Teaks show up in the post credits scene.

Maybe when the DLC comes out I'll come back to this world -- and maybe then I'll decide that I want to find the glowing ritual site in the Moorlands and 4 house plans that I've never even seen one of and 20 seashells or however many I don't have yet but none of those tasks sound interesting to me at all. The necromancer quest line might be more interesting, but again, since DLC is confirmed, I think I'll wait for there to be a bunch more to do all at once. I can wait to (presumably) kill Aephoril for now -- defending the cosmos from Him seems good enough.

now that sonic prime is over im even more confused about people insisting that its canon and will tie into the game timeline somehow and its place in the timeline will be clear by time the show ends . like all the little contradictions that make it hard to believe this is the game universe aside. theres no undeniable in universe evidence that this is the game canon and not just a separate universe thats more faithful to the games than any of the other sonic tv shows are. and theres also no hint to where this would take place if it was canon aside from shadow and rouge being there but that doesnt really narrow it down much . this whole situation is just confusing and weird

thinking about what absolute fucking Hell On Earth it would be for luz to send hunter away from the castle in the princess AU. it's like the worst possible version of the argument they have where he's like "tell me what's going on so i can protect you" and she's like "no. stop protecting me." in this version hunter doesn't have his imagination to come up with whatever luz is hiding, she tells him straight-up that belos wants to kill him. and orders him to leave. and once again tells him she has everything under control even though she really really really clearly doesn't

like. hunter really wouldn't care about his life being in danger in this AU, if luz told him and let him stay. but if she made him LEAVE??

hunter's entire Life is centered on protecting luz. and the most core facet of that protection, up until belos dies, is Managing The Emperor. hunter weathering ungodly amounts of physical abuse and letting belos do fuck-knows-what to him because they have an agreement: it's Good for hunter to be the recipient of belos's anger, because then belos isn't in danger of hurting luz. it's good for hunter to suffer in her stead, that's what he's built for, that's what he's made for.

hunter being told not only that he's having his entire purpose ripped from him, but ALSO that now luz is going to be the one Managing The Emperor?? and being told she "has everything under control"??? and being told that she's going to take it all on alone??

he wouldn't know whether it's worse if luz still doesn't know exactly what belos is capable of and is making this decision out of ignorance, or if she Does know exactly what belos is capable of and has actually weighed the risks. bc that would mean he's already failed in his entire reason for Being.

Thinking about the devs showing off being able to summon your frame for a few seconds while in Duviri, and it being a high level intrinsic i think? And in turn thinking about North, returning to Duviri on unfinished business again and again and eventually learning how to summon Higgins even if only for short moments at a time, not out of desire for power but for companionship, bc they're alone here and hurting, and sometimes it's not even used for combat, it's just for the transference equivalent of a hug bc they want their friend to be around so bad
