Yeah is very nice

Especially in 1.21.x with Codecs for just about everything, deserealizing stuff out of json is typically pretty easy, too

...though static registries *are* very convenient, since you can query them without knowing what level you're in

(P.S. Mod devs, if you have statically registered thing that you can't figure out how to make dynamic, consider integrating with "Json Things" -- it adds "thingpacks" which work like datapack registries but for any registry (like blocks/items in the base game)

KubeJS works too but idk it's kinda hard to use)

I louv it when a mod makes their features data driv!n and easily customizeable through datapacks
