Hermes: I mean, small animals are way more vicious. It's because their anger has less space to be bottled up in Eurylochus: That's ridiculous. Give me one example of this Polites: Wasps Athena: Spiders Penelope: Terriers Posideon: Odysseus

I believe Ithaca Saga was also about the love he always had for his comrades. No matter what he had to do, he would regret it because he loved them. If you put the first and last lines of the musical together, you get:
"Alright, my brothers, listen closely...I love you."
The last line of the musical is "I love you". The runtime of the musical is 143 minutes. 1, 4, 3 is the exact number of letters in the phrase
"I love you".

Imagine if in Mutiny, Ares went down on the ship to fill Eurylochus with the courage and rage necessary to fight Odysseus for his crime against his men. And so Ares would be standing behind eury while Ody is alone since Athena left him

The Mutiny song is so good and emotional.  Like Ody and Eurylochus's relationship, aahhhh! He could have told Eurylochus to keep one of the torches but he didn't. They could have killed Ody and dumped his body but they didn't. Because the worst thing about betrayal is it never comes from someone you hate. Also him showing him where they are. Also him calling him "Ody" and "my friend"!!!!!!!

You cannot tell me that Odysseus and Ctimene great grandkids of the God of Thieves, wits, Cunning, tricks, Hermes himself
were chill kids.
You cannot look at me in the face and tell me Anticlea had to go out with them in those kids leashes or else they'd cause trouble everywhere.
You cannot tell me Ctimene and Odysseus don't have the urge to just, steal stuff at random. Even if they don't need to cause you know They're ROYALTY.
You cannot tell me they didn't make a game of who could lie/sneak out more without servants noticing.
You can't tell me these two aren't impulsive liars, liars who lie and deceive without even needing to. Like, to the point where sometimes they can't remember if a memory genuinely happend or if they made it up to fuck with Eurylochus or Laertes.

DANDY'S ODYSSEY - Dandy's World X Epic The Musical
(The Official Introduction)
Tumblr media
-.✦ ────.✦.──── ✦.-
The First Cast of Characters:
Tumblr media
Rodger - Odysseus
One of the most cleverest toons in the game. Of course, I had to make Rodger the wily traveller of olde, Odysseus.
Tumblr media
Tisha - Eurylochus
To be honest, I have no reasoning behind why Tisha is Eurylochus, the only reason why she's even casted as him, is because there weren't that many options left, and my friend– Woah– said that he thinks she fits the role the best.
Tumblr media
Goob - Polites
This one was easy to cast as well! Goob is very kind, and energetic, Polites is kind, and carefree wanting to greet the world with open arms. It was honestly like he was made for the part.
Tumblr media
Brightney - Athena
She's the only other toon that, in my opinion, rivals Rodger's intelligence, if not, even smarter than him.
(And on a totally unrelated note, Brightney is my aforementioned friend's favorite character in Dandy's World, and Athena is also his favorite character.)
Tumblr media
Toodles - Telemachus
Made Toodles Telemachus for, well, OBVIOUS reasons. I actually originally planned to make Boxten Telemachus, but one of the people on Tumblr mentioned on how it would match the timeline better!
-.✦ ────.✦.──── ✦.-
Some doodles of other characters that will appear!

I'm currently working on an animatic that involves two of the Gods! Let's see if you can figure out who they are :3

Odysseus seems to have some decent knowledge of common myths/monsters (he knew the cost of Scylla, domain of wind and sun gods, lotus fruit, Charybdis, etc.)
Did Athena teach him that? Because awwww I feel like that would be so sweet for her to tell him all these stories and legends that might help him out (and they do!!) 🥺
ohhhhh
oh i think this could be both cute and very sad.
like Athena just slams down a notebook on his table and is like this is everything in the ocean and how it works.
And Ody is like but we don't have monsters on our path to Troy or home, right? This says Scylla is like 400 nautical miles away from where we even think of traveling. Aren't you being a bit paranoid?
And Athena is like it's not paranoia if your champion is a dumbass with epic bad luck and no sense of direction.
And with every monster they encounter Ody is like :| And fills out another square in his monster bingo that he made in the back of the notebook.
Eurylochus: Those sirens were pretty intense, right? Ody, massaging his temples: I got triple bingo from them though. *sniffles, under his breath* about to get another real soon.

Scrolling through my blog, saw this (@anerdyrat) and thought “Ykw why not write it”
“If you want all the power, you must carry all the blame!” Eurylochus lunged for Odysseus, raising the Strongest of Same to the side, swinging a large arc towards the captain. Odysseus merely ducked beneath it, stepping close, slicing and barely managing to nick Eurylochus in the calf, easy enough for the larger man to ignore. He swiped down, trying to knock Odysseus’s sword from his hand, but the traitor managed to evade.
He had to do this. For the crew. If Odysseus no longer cared for the lives of his men, then he shouldn’t be captain, just as a king who didn’t care for his people shouldn’t wear the crown. He had to defeat him, take charge, get them home- or at least somewhere where they could die peacefully, instead of at the gaping maws or clubs of monsters or gods hellbent on vengeance.
His second-in-command sidestepped, trying again. And once more, his past friend ducked under the gleaming steel. An old trick of his, one Eurylochus had apparently yet to figure out how to counteract.
“C’mon! Are you even trying?!” Eurylochus gritted his teeth at the banter as the cocky prince slid under his dull sword.
“Are you?” He called back. “I’m not seeing any offensive strikes yet, Ody.”
“Ah, so you’re asking for it!” Odysseus charged, getting close and elbowing him in the gut just hard enough to leave him breathless for a mere moment, enough time to swipe at his calf. Eurylochus yelped and jumped out of the way just in time, his young legs nimbly avoiding the strike. He landed with a scoff and a counterattack, lunging for Odysseus’s shoulder with a speed that turned the steel into a silver blur. “Ha-!”
Eurylochus swung his sword again, toward’s the captain’s arm, his upper shoulder, with a grunt.
“Ow!”
Eurylochus’s heart flattened as he heard his friend’s gasp of pain, lowering his weapon immediately, almost dropping it. He stepped forward, a hand rising to look at Ody’s arm. “Sorry, are you-”
Eurylochus couldn’t help it; his sword faltered for the briefest moment when he saw his old friend flinch as he ducked a moment too late, when he saw red start to drip from the cut. But the briefest moment was all that Odysseus needed, this new man he did not recognize taking advantage of his hesitation.
He grunted with surprise as he felt himself being bodyslammed by the younger boy, stumbling and tripping over his own feet. He landed hard on his butt, his sword flying away into the bushes.
Eurylochus felt the massive sword fall from his hand as Odysseus slammed the flat of his blade into his fist, his fingers releasing before he could force them to obey, before his tall frame was shoved off-balance with a well-placed kick, and then knocked to the bloodstained deck.
Odysseus stood over him, triumphant. “Dirty trick,” Eurylochus muttered as he rose to his feet.
“The words of a sore loser. And I’m telling Ctimene you’re a softie.”
“Don’t you dare-”
Odysseus stood over him, triumphant, a ruthless gleam in his eye as he raised his sword high over Eurylochus’s head as he cried out. For the first time in his life, Eurylochus felt fear, fear that he would be harmed by his friend’s hand instead of the reverse-
“I am not letting you get in my way!”
squelch.
“Haha, I might…I’m sure she’d love to hear about it.”
“My brother, why?”
