You know Zelda, most Links actually were children during their adventures. Breath of the Wild Link Georg who was over 100 years old was an outlier and should not have been counted
Clearly, I'm still not over the idea of a younger Link and older Zelda in alttp. She feels so bad about dragging a little kid into this whole thing 😭😭😭
#and for those of you who enjoy the sibling theory i do too ;)#just 6 years older zelda for the sake of this lol#which is great bc it makes the guilt worse cuz zeldas like 'im your older sister IM the one who should be protecting YOU'#and links like 'youre my what now?'#although i will say from what i know of the alttp manga i can totally see why ppl like the ship#'queen zelda ruled for many years and it is said her knight was by her side through it all' OUAGH MY HEART#anyways#art#fanart#loz#legend of zelda#fan art#traditional art#link#zelda#alttp#a link to the past#tw blood#blood tw#ohuhu markers#marker art#comic

Another Ohuhu vs Copic Post
I'm not the first to compare the two, and I won't be the last, but I have opinions and I love foisting them upon the void of the internet so here we are.
I have a mishmash of 16 copic grey tones and one pastel purple (BV11 Pale Violet), and the 96 Honolulu B Pastel set from Ohuhu, and even though I've only had these Ohuhus for a few hours, I can already tell you I have OPINIONS!
Let's get the obvious out of the way. The seventeen (17) copic markers I've acquired over the years cost more than the ninety six (96) set from Ohuhu. Lol. Lmao even. Everyone knows it, copics are Pricey and that's why everyones looking for an alternative. So yeah, I've been excited about ohuhu for a while! They're been a good competitor, even more so since they added brush tips and refillable markers! For real, while copics have been ridiculously priced, I've resigned myself to just buying a few here and there because it felt like a better investment in the long run. But now? I HAD TO KNOW! What are ohuhu markers like to USE?
Kind of nice, to be honest. They have next to NO smell, especially compared to the copics. Even my prismacolor markers are stinkier than the ohuhus. Love that. I'm not hotboxing myself out of my room every time I want to do a color. Amazing, no notes. Well, one note. I think the reason they aren't as stinky is because they aren't NEARLY as juicy as copics. Maybe it's the color set I got? I'd like to revisit this with a more bold color set to see, but the pastels feel almost Dry. So I wouldn't be surprised if the juiciness results in more stink. If that's the case, then yeah I'll go into the hot box.
The juiciness is probably also the reason ohuhu doesn't blend as easily. They still blend nicely, but the copics were SO smooth. Here's some blending I did with each set. The colors aren't compareable, because the copic colors I have go much darker than the ohuhu pastels, but the blending is the same.
Ignore the one on the top lol that's when I decided I needed More Colors and got the Ohuhus. The bottom cloud is the copics (the brights are prismacolor markers that are not part of this because they're about 20 years old at this point and not alcohol based anyway). It was my first attempt at blending, but it was easy to get a nice gradient! The hardest part was choosing colors and that's on me!
Here are ohuhu clouds! I noticed the paper had some texture so I did the little blob on the right to compare with the first cloud. It did blend a lot smoother on the smoother side of the paper, but I still had to use the darker copic marker to even the blend out. I don't mind that too much, to be honest, I think they work VERY well together! I did find myself needing to layer the ohuhus more, but I really do like the result.
THE NIBS! LETS TALK ABOUT THE NIBS! Copics big thing was always HEY WE HAVE REPLACEABLE NIBS! So when your nib inevitably gets Nasty, you don't have to buy an entire new marker. But now. Guess what ohuhu has done. REPLACEABLE. NIBS! Not only that, but most of the nibs are INTERCHANGEABLE! So if I decide I don't actually like that I got a brush/bullet combo and want the chisel, I can replace either with a chisel! HOW NEAT! I don't know if copic nibs are interchangeable, but they have always been replaceable.
Ohuhu has more different nibs and nib combos. They have brush/chisel, brush/bullet, chisel/bullet, something called a tri nib??/chisel, slim chisel/bullet, and wide tip. The tri tip is. So interesting to me. I'm not a chisel fan, if I want to cover a lot of space I can do that with a brush tip. But this tri chisel?? looks like you get more control over the line width. It's fascinating. I'd love to try it some day, but I don't think it fits the art I generally enjoy making. Like. I don't think I'd use it a lot. It's why I chose the Honolulu B, they have a brush and a bullet nib.
Copics have fewer choices, brush/chisel (sketch), brush/bullet (ciao), bullet/chisel (classic), and Wide. Biggest thing about these, though is that everything but the ciao are refillable. This is the other big draw to copics, especially considering ohuhu doesn't offer open stock. If your favorite color dries out, you'd have to buy a new set with that color in it. Ohuhu has started offering refills for some colors, and I can only hope that means they'll eventually offer refills for every color they offer. Both set of nibs are fine. Copics are a little more squishy, but I think that has to do with the juice once more. They aren't different enough to affect me in either direction.
Color choices are close enough, ohuhu honolulu series offers 363 colors, thier oahu has 320 colors, copic sketch offers 358 colors, all of which have refills. Ohuhu offers 50 colors on their website. Again, I really hope that since this is so new, it just means they'll offer more refill colors in the future. Still, a win for copics. I also love that copics allow you to buy empty BARRELS along with refills, which means you could theoretically make your own colors. Also, if you price it all out, in the long run, buying empty barrels and the ink refills and filling the markers yourself is cheaper than buying individual or sets of copic markers. I hate that. Lower your prices.
Overall, I like them both! Are copics better? Yeah, absolutely, I'm not denying that. But the price is SO outrageous and ohuhu is fighting for that affordability market. They're perfectly fine markers, and I WILL be buying some brighter more saturated colors. I will also be slowly (very slowly) buying copics too. They're so smooth, they really are the quality they're known for. If you want to try out alcohol markers and don't want a commitment, go for ohuhu. They have so many sets, and a wide price range, and still everything is so much more affordable than copics. It all comes down to that. If you want an investment and can drop a lot of money at once, then yeah absolutely go for copics. I am doing all I can not to say They're Worth It, because I hate that price I HATE IT! A single marker shouldn't be six dollars (and that's the Discount Price at Blicks). But I can't deny their quality. I'm going to continue doing what I'm doing, which is getting a large set of ohuhu and supplementing it with copics and hopefully one day copics will take over.
Did that help?
PS ohuhu caps clip on to the end of the barrel. Copics do not (unless you get the ciao).
#bookbird babbles#um. how do i tag this#my reviews#????#OHUHU VS COPIC#idk lol i had fun theyre both good markers#and i love seeing how far ohuhu has come!#i love that they're listening to their customers!!!!!#i havent used any other alcohol based markers and tbh i dont want to#ive done enough research to know ohuhu and copic are the leaders in quality#but like. if someone wants me to review another alcohol based marker i will#i do enjoy this lol#prismacolor markers were always my go to but again ive been using the same set my mom bought me in 200....5? 2004????#when was i in middle school#anyway those aren't alcohol based so they do NOT blend but theyre not SUPPOSED to blend#they do layer nicely though#i think prismacolor has gotten into the alcohol marker game since then but im out of their loop tbh#have been for a while#i think buying the pastel set did me dirty but i use pastel colors a lot more than brights so i thought it was best#and i DO like these colors dont get me wrong but to do a true 1:1 comparison with the copics i have#i shouldve gotten darker colors#but i didnt buy them to do a comparison i bought them bc i wanred to draw clouds lol#ANYWAY THIS WAS FUN WHAT NEXT

Bruh, is this a case of me not using them enough or what because why in the world are my Copic Sketch markers drying out so quickly?
#like at this point i'm considering just switching over to copic ciao#lesser ink flow yes but it's less of a burden on my wallet#and maybe idk they won't DRY UP so fast#or maybe i should just stick to ohuhu markers idk#i'd buy copic refills but for each color is???#ugh i just want to enjoy my copics w/o them deciding TIME'S UP and lose their luster#especially given how expensive they are

I miss this face.
Tech deserved a happy life on Pabu with his brothers & sister. Well, darn it...all the Clones deserve so much more! Why can't the Empire just clear off and let them just live their lives? Of course, we know that doesn't happen. I'm so nervous about this season of The Batch Bad...I don't want anything bad to happen to anybody! (Except Hemlock...I despise his smug face.)
I wanted to draw a super happy Tech in his casual outfit, just enjoying a beautiful day on Pabu with his handy data-pad & one of those fun-looking Pabu fruits. Pabu flowers remind me of Bougainvillea, which grow a lot in Southern California (making me reminisce about my home state). I also just wanted to draw Tech in general, as he is one of my all-time favourite Star Wars characters.
I hope everybody likes this! I enjoyed creating this piece.
Drawn with Sakura Pigma Micron pens, and then coloured in with a mix of Copic Markers & Ohuhu Markers. The clouds were done in Photoshop Elements, because I am terrible at painting clouds.

pv surprises even himself!! 💜💚💜💚
closeups!!!
aaaaaaand some behind the scenes!
absolutely love these two. Idk if this is necessarily during “we’re captured” as I don’t think boxman would thirst that hard if fink was there. So maybe a second meeting/alternate meeting? Maybe fink left to go to the bathroom? Idk…
I do a lot of alcohol marker art with ohuhu markers but this is one of the first times in a WHILE where I’ve done a bit more of a traditional approach…pencil sketch, inks, markers, and lots of touch ups…it took several days, where my usual pen sketches + marker colors take up to an hour at the most. I tried rlly hard on this !!
I got new pens for inks (fineliners from prismacolor) and a small batch of new ohuhu markers, which included a lot of colors that have been drying out -_- it’s so nice having markers that are actually filled…
Anyways I hope y’all enjoyed my lil process description. Just moved and I’ve been spending a lot of my time on art, especially traditional. And voxman is fun to draw and their dynamic is fun to write ! :3

I had sent a request like yesterday- and AAA IM SO HAPPY TO SEE IT DONE ALREADY!! IT WAS SO CUTE >^<
I had another idea, cause my brain has been absolutely filled with different thoughts! Once again, earth 1610! Miles morales- but this time with a very well off partner who tends to spoil him alot. Like gift after gift, as soon as Miles is saying he likes or wants something- they're getting it for him!!
It's just something they really enjoy doing and they love seeing the smiles they get from Miles when he sees the gifts!!
-> 𝐇𝐔𝐒𝐇.
miles morales x reader
-> u like to buy ur cutie patootie bf miles expensive gifts and he's like aw :(
-> btw guys i do other characters LOL i kinda wanna try writing for hobie!! i've been trying to research british slang but i can't stop laughing (it's the AMERICAN 🤓🇺🇲🔥🔫 in me i swear)
you and your boyfriend miles were walking along the streets of brooklyn, occasionally stopping for snacks or to observe the stores placed amongst each other. you held his hand and he held yours. this was just another after school thing you two would do.
". . . and when i walked in he was wearing my shoes! like what the hell man." miles ranted, slightly shifting the story because if he told you what actually happened he'd reveal his identity as spiderman, and that wasn't a path he wanted to go down just yet.
"pfft, that's funny. you know, if it bothers you so much i could just buy you another pair of shoes." you reply, nonchalantly.
"huh? no way! that's your money, besides, you already bought me enough stuff."
"i gifted you stuff," you corrected, before joking once more, "you deserve it anyway! i mean, c'mon miles be grateful."
"i am grateful! i just feel bad, you know, they're all so expensive." he defends.
"name ONE gift that was expensive."
"the ohuhu marker set!"
it was miles' birthday and you were at his dorm for a small celebration, just the two of you [ ganke left because he didn't wanna third-wheel. ] so, you two were just sitting on the floor as he opened the carefully wrapped gift.
"so, how's being fifteen so far?" you make small talk, while a pit of happiness boils inside of you as you can't wait for his reaction to the gift you got him.
"totally fun. can't wait to do adult stuff." he laughs, and just as he finishes his sentence he sees a black bag with markers in them, specifically 216 markers. it was a set that cost roughly $170.00.
"oh my god!" he stands up, that's the reaction hoped for, "these are so cool." he rushes to pull you up, kissing you on your lips, holding a side of your face with his hand.
"how much were they?"
"don't worry! it's your birthday you deserve it." you pull him into your arms, embracing him.
"i looked it up when you left and they were almost $200!"
"you're worth more than $200 miles."
"aw," he leans his head on your shoulder as you both continue to walk down the street. "wait! what about that other time, when you got me a camera.”
it was summer time, you and miles walked into a random electronics store. as you both observed the different assortments of cameras, miles picked one of them up, a small, old digicam.
"my uncle used to have one of these." he says, as he moves the camera around in his hand to look at the many details on the camcorder. over the few months you've been dating, you noticed the admiration he had for his uncle, he even mentioned going down under the subway tracks to graffiti on the walls.
"do you wanna get it?"
"nah, it's $40. let's go get lunch, i'm starving."
"wait! but you like it right? i could get it for you, if you want."
"what! no way, i should be the one spoiling you." he wraps his arm around your waist.
you both eventually walked out the store, but later, for christmas that year, you gave it him as an early gift. miles felt like crying, not a sad cry, more like, 'i've never felt more appreciated in my life i love you so much' kind of cry. he couldn't stop hugging and kissing you that day.
"the camera was a gift for both of us." you rolled your eyes, "i just gave it to you to hold, indefinitely!"
miles gives you a look, "whatever, you know i'd love anything you give me, regardless of price."

"Frankie, don't unleash the coffee ghosts!"
And there we have it, my first "proper" (and probably last, for now) time posting fan art. Rambles about the process under the cut, since I enjoy it when other people do that.
So why coffee? I've seen g3 Frankie as a bit too fond of caffeine since the beginning, mostly because of the coffee break two pack (they have a designated coffee buying outfit!) and their creepover doll, which comes with an energy drink. I mean, come on.
Here's basically the process:
The colours aren't quite accurate to the actual drawing (the background is lighter on the photo), but I tried.
The point of this was really just to make something less mellow (as I tend to do) and focus a bit more on shapes, and I thought Frankie would be perfect for that. I used alcohol markers (by Ohuhu) and acrylic paint for the sparks of electricity. Little fun fact, I had to take a reference picture for the separated hand, and the best lid adjacent thing to hold I could find was a tiny trash lid. I mean, if it fits ┐•_•┌
I don't draw humans (or humanesque characters) often, so this was good practice. Killed one of my favourite markers for the trees, but I had fun.

Been figuring out about my orientation quite a bit lately and I believe I might be AroAce (or at least on both the Aromantic and Asexual Spectrums). I will explain
While I do enjoy the idea of being in a more intimate relationship, I don’t want to fully commit to it for now (I kind of only have these feelings for fictional characters if that makes sense (like in the fictional world, I’m on the Aromantic Spectrum and Omnisexual, but in the real world I’m Aro-Ace)).
Anyways, I had fun coloring the drawing in and I love how it turned out ^^

SMRPG art time :D
Had to draw my favorite boi, and my brother convinced me to draw Geno too.
I feel my hyperfixation on Bowyer coming back, and frankly I think it's looooong overdue.
These were both done with a combination of Ohuhu and Spectrum Noir markers, as well as black prismacolor and a touch of gel pen :)
I hope you enjoy my art!

After months of not drawing, my daughter 'commissioned' me to draw her first fictional crush, and who am I to refuse that? 🙈
(She's 9 and going through her first fangirl phase - falling for the villain with troubled background and a redemption arc ghaghagha- , to the point she's writing her own fanfic, and probably I'm enjoying it a bit too much to everyone's liking but ha. Ha. HA. 😏😏😏)
Here's Zuko from Avatar the last airbender in his fire lord attire as seen in the comics! I kept it simple this time, just black inks and Ohuhu alcohol markers! I was a bit lazy on the lines though and didn't check the hands with some reference, but it was all I could bring myself to and I thought it was acceptable enough for now. It's better than nothing.
Anyway. Last months the misplaced feeling of guilt towards anything that wasn't work or family, took over again. To the point I didn't want to see my sketchbook. But I'm trying to crawl out of the pit and take off where I left. So hopefully, I can present you some of my usual nonsense soon! 💁♀️
More details and timelaps under the break!
