A little 15 min doodle but first post of the year has to be Bingqiu!

#ok its time to get mushy in the tags because I doubt anyone would read them too closely #I’ve had severe art block for YEARS before I got into danmei in 2024 #and it wasn’t that my skill was gone it’s just that I thought nothing I did was good enough #I started reading danmei around the summer of last year and I got SO INSPIRED #I dived into the fandom side of things (I haven’t been in a live fandom in years) and was so excited about all the art people were making #and writing! and music! and animatics!#everything was so bright and colorful and beautiful #and everyone had such cool designs for these book characters that I’d grown to love #so I took a chance and doodled a little Luo Binghe and posted him on here #and I was so taken aback by how welcoming and sweet the fandom was #it made me wanna keep taking chances and posting my art— because I think that’s one of the hardest things I’ve come to accept #that even if it’s not good enough for me #someone else may enjoy it #and ain’t it crazy that ive come to enjoy drawing again too #sure the interaction has been fun but it’s been even more fun experimenting with my style and experimenting with colors and rendering #and grayscale and angles #and composition and expressions #ahh!! art is so fun!! the juppet !! i just realised he is jerma posing i swear that was unintentional...... i spent so long digging thru muppet concept art and looking at old puppet designs just to end up doing a rly simple drawing but. i love joehills!! i have only been watching them for like 4 years but their videos r so special to me :3

Why is he so hard to draw!!! What!! Like I know his clothes are complex but no his face!#He's got a really cute and difficult-to-draw face! Why! I cannot figure him out #It's probably the do with the shape and size of his head...his hair........ I really enjoy fluff and he's Kind of but Not Really fluffy??#And his white streaks aren't intuitive to me - but Larry's floofs are??? I don't know #The only thing I can figure it that I Kind Of draw Dexter the same way - Larry's streaks are like an exaggerated version of how I floof Dex #And then a suit is second nature by now but I've already talked about my difficulties with Kabu's clothes lol #Didn't stop me from putting him out front for this hug tho! It's cute... Kabu asking Larry to come play with him but Larry has stuff to do #May or may not have felt a little that way myself - made most of these doodles during Requestober haha so busy!#The brightly shining brilliant glow boyfriend setup-payoff returns ♥ He glows like a fire! Overwhelming!#I still really love that glow cutaway style around the low-bouncing flower haha - just don't draw there and it gives the impression! Further rambling below

So I can draw again (kind of??) Thing is the new stylus works but since my current hp spectre laptop is a lot bigger than my last one, it’ll take me some time to fully warm up to it. (it also overheats if I use it too long… >.>)

Also embarrassing realization on my part, but the sensitivity of my stylus could be fixed in clip studio itself. The reason it was drawing lines so thick is because I didn’t set the touch setting to pc tablet. That fixed everything and now I can draw with the same lines as I did before. Don’t judge me I was drawing on that old spectre tablet for years (i got it way back in 2017) and I forgot how I set it up before...😅

So yay, I’m back art-wise. But it’ll take me some time to fully warm up to the change. So I went over one of my marker pen sketches as a practice piece and turned it into a little 4 parter. You know I love it when sickies get fed by their caretakers c: I already drew makoto feeding yuma before, so now it's his turn!🥣

This isn’t my best work, not by a long-shot this is mediocre at best. But it did make my sketch look better so it’s a win I guess. (side views are still the bane of my existence >_>)

I’ll still draw but it may be slower than usual. I have college courses to focus on and some other things too (I miss my freedom ;-;)

Anyway, hope you enjoy this soft little moment between these two :3 Makoto loves being pampered by Yuma, even if he doesn’t admit it.
