While it’s been heard plenty, it’s important to start seeing the music, too.
We obviously have to fuck it, as well.
its almost 2025 we HAVE to do something about music

notes to self: things I've recently learned edition
Being emotionally healthy does not mean that you will not feel negative emotions. It means that when you do feel negative emotions like anger and sadness and shame and dejection, you will not let it trigger self-destructive behaviour. You will observe and understand what you are feeling and you will allow yourself to feel it and pass.
Let people be who they are and give yourself time to know who they are. Then you get to decide whether you want them in your life or not. You shouldn't want so badly to fit someone into your life that you ask them to change or compromise on your end.
Do not wear a dress when you go to the beach because then when you sit on the sand it goes everywhere. EVERYWHERE.
You do not care so much for anything really. If it's there, great, you will enjoy and appreciate. And if it's not, that's fine too, you will go on with your life. Example: You've only had mangoes thrice this whole summer and it doesn't even matter. You always thought you couldn't go a summer without devouring 10000 mangoes. But here you are.
Be the healthy person. Do the thing you want to do and say the thing you want to say instead of waiting the other person to do it. Express what you feel. Ask for what you need. Even if they do not reciprocate, at least you did the healthy thing - you communicated. There is beauty in being confident and having clarity on what you want and who you are.
Humans always overestimate the things they can do and the way they can change in one year and underestimate the changes that can shape their life in 10 years. Don't do that. Stop pressuring yourself to do everything this calendar year and really capitalise on the power of time and have a long term vision and plan for what you want and who you want to be.

Dear Survivors, Band-Aids Have Purpose.
Tumblr media
We've been told to stay away from band-aids, that they do no real good for healing but that isn't entirely true. Band-aids were never meant to be a cure, that's TRUE, but they ARE meant for protection.
These little strips, however disposable in the end, are what open the window between hurt and healing, take the breath between tears and smiles, create the space between pain and relief, and shelter the cuts from dangerous debris surrounding it. Airing out our pain is a MYTH.
Merciless exposure to the elements at our most vulnerable kills something in us, but covering our wounds maintains the natural defenses that keep our hope alive...and a wound that heals with hope is less likely to leave a scar. Band-Aids are meant to give our bodies the time and safety they need to reconnect the severed strands that bleed us, cleanse the poison that weakens us. Ripping off that protection will feel uncomfortable, but in the end, a band-aid didn't heal you...
YOU healed you.

Hi friends, with uni starting up again I've been really motivated and grateful, but I am going through a lot mentally and emotionally with family stuff (more than usual lol) so I was considering using the uni counselling service. The qualm I have is that I only get access to four sessions for free, and then can have only six more for the year (billed). I'd rather not start at all than be cut off from sessions before I can reap the benefits...
That's why I wanted to ask anyone who has used university- or college-based counselling services what your experience of it was. you can just answer in the poll, but i'd also really appreciate if you could tell me more about it in my inbox if you're open to it

Healing is important, but not because you aren’t enough and you need to become a “perfect” version of yourself to deserve good things in your life. You are enough as you are now and healing is important because you deserve to be able to feel at peace.

Mercury turns direct suggests a moment of clarity, a moment of insight where over the last 3 weeks or so, we might be thinking something a certain way and now we are seeing things differently.
We are realising how things actually are. We are able to accept and find that truth now.
In this time communicate and understand clearly.
There is a perception of pessimism and inability of seeing light
Breathe. Be diligent with your thoughts and mind.
Hone yourself to your belief and faith in the dark. Seek help when you need it.
Be patient with self and you will find equilibrium.

My note for you. If no one has told you lately, the universe loves you. You are worthy of love. If you don’t know it yet, didn’t this year, with its triumphs and trials, woven a tapestry of our lives together?
Thank you for reading my posts.
At the New Year's dawn, let's carry that strength into the new year ahead of us. 🔥 Let's continue to build ourselves, nurturing dreams, conquering challenges, and becoming the person we envision of being.
To all you here, may the year ahead be a canvas painted with vibrant hues of joy, growth, and self-discovery.
May we continue to find solace and inspiration 🦋

I found myself riding this exact wave at the end of 2021 and through most of 2022. Only now am I beginning to heal after having moved away from the environment where all of this occurred and deleting and blocking the individual. It cost me so much peace of mind, focus, and even money.
If you find yourself in a similar situation, limit contact, find something to help reground yourself and your expectations in reality, and find a means of external accountability and support. Remaining in these types of relationships will only continue to be damaging to your health and emotional wellbeing.
