Dear Survivors, Take It Easy.
Tumblr media
You think this was your fault.
You and your foolish heart.
You HAD to believe them. You HAD to trust them. You HAD to let them in... and then they did it. They HURT you. Your mind, your heart, your body...everywhere meant to be safe.
Maybe you'd taken a beating before...so maybe you should have known better...but it's harder for the heart to see through swollen eyes. Harder for the body to resist under a tortured mind. Harder for the mind to know with a bleeding heart. Harder to know who stands at the other end of that...RELIEF.
They held ice to the bruises, wrapped your shivering bones, filled an empty belly, bandaged the broken promises, kindled a hope in your chest...What else could love have been?
It wasn't your fault to wish for goodness.
You and your hurting heart.
To believe someone...
To trust someone...
To let them in...
Your brave heart wishing for what it's scarcely had, can barely remember, yet knows it deserves...is the WILL TO LIVE itself.

The Devonshire Parure
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Devonshire Parure consists of a coronet, diadem, bandeau, comb, necklace, stomacher, and bracelet. It was commissioned by the 6th Duke of Devonshire for Countess Granville, the wife of his nephew, to wear while accompanying him to Moscow for the coronation of Tsar Alexander II in 1856.
Made and designed by C.F. Hancock with input from Sir Joseph Paxton, the parure incorporates 88 cameos and intaglios from the 2nd Duke of Devonshire’s extensive carved gem collection depicting different Tudor monarchs. It includes carnelian, amethyst, garnets, emeralds, sapphires, onyx, jacinth, lapis lazuli, plasma, sardonyx and diamonds all set in gold and enamel.
The parure has been featured in Sotheby's Treasures from Chatsworth exhibit and docuseries. When not on tour, the parure is displayed at Chatsworth House, the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire.

I'm currently having a how to train your dragon x rise of the guardians renaissance and autumn spirit Hiccup is consuming me at the moment.
So the idea was that Jack and the guardians have their previous life and after was revived to become the embodiment of their mythologies while Hiccup and his dragon riders are real historical people with legends made around them.
Jack and the guardians always get a cute Pixar and Dreamwork treatment with children's movies. It's about finding the wonder of Christmas, or discovering hope, or having fun and treasuring memories.
While Hiccup always get saddles with a Netflix live action docuseries or a HBO game of throne like tv show series with all the violence and raunchy scenes.
And Hiccup is sick and tired of it. There are two type of people he can't quite tolerate. The first ones are historians who are aware of the bullshits he had done and went through. The second one are the people who actually believed what happened in the tv show actually happened for real.
What kind of historical inaccuracies would Hiccup go through?
Do you think those portrayals affected how the other spirits view Hiccup and the others

Uh uh uh new glee ocs...? 👀
YES! Thank you so much for asking and making me put thought into them @ginevrastilinski!!
First I already have developed a Mercedes love interest, Jordan Roberts, who was a kid actor that starred in a bunch of stuff and finally decided that he'd rather start over with a normal life. So he moves to Lima with his parents even though he technically still has a contract to fulfill, causing his manager to be on the chase for him. Kurt, of course, knows him and demands that Mercedes hit that ASAP. He's a football player and single-handedly funds a new theatre department for McKinley.
Tumblr media
Then we have a so far unnamed love interest for either Quinn or Brittany. She's a treasurer for the debate team, having previously been on it but having to drop actively debating due to one outburst that changed her whole trajectory of the future. She's slated to become a lawyer and is in love with anything glitter-related. She also loves animated movies and those cheesy true crime docuseries.

Also, Wyatt Weaver has been recast! Meet your new fave woodweller:

Miriam Margolyes is going on another Australian road trip
Tumblr media
Actress, author and international treasure Miriam Margolyes is heading out on another Australian road trip next month.
The outspoken British-Australian documentarian charmed us with her wit and wisdom in her previous two ABC docuseries Almost Australian and Australia Unmasked in 2020 and 2022.
Now, after a health scare and recent heart operation in London, Miriam travelled to Australia again because she’s concerned for her future.
In Miriam Margolyes: Impossibly Australian, the 82-year-old travels from Perth to Byron Bay and then on to the mining town of Broken Hill to hear from locals about they adapt to change.
Introducing the new series, Miriam said, “I’ve not long ago had a heart operation. My aortic valve, which is a very important part of the heart, was blocked.
“I’ve had the procedure. I’ve got the the cow’s valve instead of mine. I survived. Everybody I talked to said, ‘For goodness sake, slow down.’
“Well, that’s not going to happen. But I will admit my operations left me feeling more vulnerable and anxious about my future.”
On her travels, Miriam has an emotional meeting with Tony and Jim, part of Australia’s Stolen Generation; immerses herself in Byron Bay’s hippie culture and gets her yoni steamed; and kikis with a drag queen in Broken Hill.

Miriam Margolyes Impossibly Australian starts in April
Miriam Margolyes has been a British-Australian dual citizen for over a decade, and has been with her Aussie partner Heather for decades.
In her new ABC series, which premieres April 9, Miriam tours the three Aussie cities and towns to hear about the lives of locals.
“Australia’s a place that’s always challenged me to question who I am, what I believe in and where I really belong,” she said.
“I’m going to three very different communities I’ve always wanted to explore to see how people are dealing with change.
“I want to know if they believe Australia is still a place where we can forge a better future and find the acceptance and belonging we crave.
“Life is about movement. We either go forward or we go backwards.”
Miriam Margolyes: Impossibly Australian starts on April 9 on ABC TV, with all episodes streaming on ABC iview that day.

getting to know thinngg, tagged by @eorzeashan on my main (@space-unicorn-dot), but I think I do more interactive stuff on this sideblog (tho if I’ve been in your replies, you’ve seen my main ofc bc Tumblr), so I’ll put it here, lol.
3 Ships: *inhales* Three is such a low number for the amount of insane inside of my braincells uhhhhhh... Shepherd x Kaiden Alenko, Clint Barton x Natasha Romanova, and uhh... uh... most flavors of x Theron Shan, tbh. Obviously, I’m particularly a hoe for Imperial Agent x Theron Shan, but like. This is a Theron loving household.
First Ship: The first thing I remember actively being like “yes, they should be in a relationship” was Elizabeth Swann x Will Turner from Pirates of the Caribbean. Wee little Dot rooted for them and tbh I still do, lol.
Currently Consuming: I just finished lunch of pizza from an absolutely fabulous local place. Thin crust, my beloved.
Currently Watching: Not a whole lot? I’m so hit or miss about investing in TV, I commit to like one thing at a time and then I go through that post-consumption like depressive period, lol. That said, I last watched two docuseries off of Netflix - “Earthstorm” on natural disasters and “Broken” which is about consumer products and the way demand can be manufactured by companies and issues it can cause, etc.
On my to-dos are Yellowstone, Andor, and apparently there’s a National Treasure series????
Last Movie: Avatar: The Way of Water
Last Song: Getting into Poor Mans Poison lately, last thing I remember consciously seeking out was Sail by AWOLNATION. Don’t look at me, this is also a “we meme to release emotional distress” household and I was last doing the Shadow of Revan Prelude with Tyr and y’all know I have emotions about that man.
Currently Reading: I will be doing class-related reading this weekend, but my usual fare is generally fanfic, lol. My last was crashing with(out) grace by transcendenism on AO3. Disaster Theron Shan, my beloved <3
Currently Craving: To remain under my blankets in a little cocoon instead of going to work. Alas.
Hmmm, let’s tagggg (no pressure/if you’d like)... @captainderyn as my usual suspects crew, lol. @greyias and @sullustangin

Soooo first of all. I adore you. You are such a ray of light. I love your soul — your kindness and warmth sometimes feel tangible through the screen ❤️✨
Not to mention your writing talent. It is seriously such a joy to read everything you put out and I THANK YOU for blessing us mere mortals with it.
And lastly, I saw someone had sent you an ask earlier mentioning an audio book read by Tom. So, I’m here to offer up another hidden Hiddleston gem. If you have Apple TV+ (which is where you can indulge in The Essex Serpent), there is also a nature docuseries available there called Earth at Night in Color, which Tom narrates. It is two 6-episode seasons full of amazing animal footage narrated by the same man that gives a voice to our favorite god. You’re welcome 😏
Girl what is this...treasure of a beautiful message?? Not only a kind and thoughtful barrage of compliments but information to feed my aural kink? 🥺
Tumblr media
Thank you for the recommendation. Imma try and find it with my ipad. Which is conveniently...portable. And Bluetooth headphone compatible.
And also thank you for being so warm and loving and supportive, getting to know you has been an absolute joy and I love our sporadic and unhinged conversations like our hickey hinjix at inopportune times
You are such a gift to this space and I personally thank you for it and provide you with an invisible gift basket which includes: large hats, car snacks to visit @youlightmeupfinn and concealer. Cos clearly you're gonna need more.

Lowe Country | May 11, 2007 | Webisode/Special
Yes! I’m writing-up Lowe Country! Why?
In addition to the five airing programs that were part of “The Night of 1000 Pilots” there was also this. Lowe Country is a fairly simple idea: A proposed docuseries about various days in the life of Space Ghost voice-actor George Lowe. Just follow George around with cameras and let him be him. We see him have some sort of physical training session, get annoyed in traffic, record some lines as Space Ghost for, I’m guessing, the Volume Two DVD (he states the date is 5/12/04). I genuinely wonder what these recordings are actually used for. Was there a music replacement that required replacement dialogue recordings? Was it actually for a promo or something that I missed? I wonder!
One memorable moment is when George visits a radio station and does his “Wilbur the Love Goat” routine with a couple of receptionists. It’s basically sexual harassment, but they take it in stride and I hope and pray that George doesn’t get #metoo’d. He should maybe make it up to them in some small way if he hasn’t already. Maybe he should give them a nice present? Perhaps a real goat named “Wilbur the Love Goat”? Hahaha, I am making myself laugh so hard right now. You sexually harass women for years and then you make it up to them by bringing them an animal that they have to take care of and somehow share custody of. How can I get this idea to George? The two women call George retarded, which caused me to theorize that if we just let women say the r-slur (the one from before that I didn’t censor; not sure why I did just now) and no one else then that would fix all this stuff.
My friend from 7th grade has “we’re all out for a peanut” as his twitter username, and it’s from this! COOL!
This pilot was unique in that it only ever aired in it’s unedited form as a web-only exclusive. Later it was recreated using a CGI Space Ghost in place of George; I don’t remember if the other people in the video were also CGI’d or not. I don’t think they were? They titled it “Earth Ghost” and it aired later as part of either an April Fools or Daylight Savings stunt. I’m sorry I never go through the trouble of looking up which one it is when I say that. They are basically the same to me.
I do like this, and would hella support an actual series of this. But I don’t feel like I need too many more of these. George Lowe is a treasure and he should just get a salary to be himself weather cameras are rolling or not. You gotta admit I’m right about this.
Okay! Since we’re here, we might as well rank not just the “Night of 1000″ pilots, but also every other pilot Adult Swim ever produced up to this point. I’m going to include Lucy, The Daughter of the Devil, even though it’s eventually going to be a series. Also let’s throw Anime Talk Show in there, why not? Let me know if I forgot something. Please! From worst to best:
The Groovenians
The Finkel Files
The Lewis Lectures
That Crook'd 'Sipp
Captain Sturdy: The Originals
Penguins Behind Bars
Lucy, The Daughter of the Devil
Anime Talk Show
Saddle Rash
The Drinky Crow Show
Spacecataz
Fat Guy Stuck in Internet
Lowe Country
Let's Fish
Welcome to Eltingville
Korgoth of Barbaria

Okay, but I can so get into this. It's actually portrayed as a docuseries. We have interviews and confessionals with various people involved. Obviously, the most recognizable face by the end will be the treasurer. The rest is a "reenactment" of events. Maybe even hint that the reason the series exists is to document the lead-up to some huge event that we'll see at the end (the Queen's act of regicide and the fallout from that).
I’m gonna pitch a show as “like Game of Thrones but even more gritty and realistic” and then it’s nothing but a baron handling land estimates and organizing road repairs and stuff. There’ll be an entire episode about how a peasant gets brought to court for letting milk cattle graze on communal pastureland even though it’s supposed to be reserved for draft animals.

"Mr. McMahon: Netflix Exposes WWE's Controversial Kingpin
The Squared Circle Unmasked: Vince McMahon's Fall from Grace - A Raw Look at WWE's Controversial Kingpin
By: Joseph Correa
Are you ready to rumble? Strap in because we're about to bodyslam our way through the electrifying world of professional wrestling and its most controversial figure: Vincent Kennedy McMahon. Netflix's new docuseries "Mr. McMahon" is pulling back the curtain on the WWE empire, and boy, is it a slobber knocker!
The Man, The Myth, The McMahon
For decades, Vince McMahon wasn't just the man behind the curtain - he was the ringmaster of the greatest show in sports entertainment. This larger-than-life figure transformed wrestling from a patchwork of regional promotions into a global phenomenon. WWE gave us legends like Hulk Hogan, The Rock, and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, turning spandex-clad warriors into household names.
But here's the real shocker - McMahon's off-screen antics make his on-screen persona look tamer than a headlock. We're talking about a guy who once scripted his own daughter's kidnapping for ratings. Talk about taking "bring your kid to work day" to a whole new level!
Behind the Curtain: The Making of "Mr. McMahon"
Director Chris Smith (yeah, the "Tiger King" guy) spent over 100 hours interviewing McMahon and a star-studded cast of wrestling royalty. We're talking Triple H, Shane McMahon, and even the 24-inch pythons of Hulk Hogan himself, brother!
But just when you think you've seen it all, the production hit a steel chair to the face - allegations of sexual abuse and trafficking forced a sudden halt. This unexpected twist gave Smith access to a treasure trove of WWE footage that might've otherwise been locked away tighter than the Undertaker's casket.
The Art of the Work: McMahon's Kayfabe Conundrum
For the uninitiated, "kayfabe" is wrestling's code word for maintaining the illusion of reality. It's the secret sauce that makes grown adults believe a man can be buried alive and come back for revenge (looking at you, Undertaker).
McMahon was the master of kayfabe, blurring the lines between his real self and his villainous on-screen character. But in "Mr. McMahon," we see a man who might have worked himself into a shoot (that's wrestling lingo for accidentally turning fiction into reality).
In one jaw-dropping moment, McMahon admits, "I don't want anybody to really know me." Well, Vince, be careful what you wish for, because this series is serving up more revelations than a Royal Rumble has surprise entrants!
The McMahon Legacy: A Double-Edged Sword
"Mr. McMahon" doesn't pull any punches when exploring the dark side of wrestling's evolution. From the physical toll on performers to rampant drug use and tragic accidents (the Owen Hart incident still gives fans nightmares), the series paints a complex picture of McMahon's impact on the industry.
Perhaps the most damning indictment comes from McMahon's own flesh and blood. Shane McMahon's statement, "I think my dad gets the rap that he wants," speaks volumes about the calculated nature of Vince's public persona. It's a moment that'll hit you harder than a Stone Cold Stunner.
The End of an Era or Just Another Work?
With WWE set to move to Netflix, this docuseries could be seen as the streaming giant's way of ushering in a new era. It's like they're powerbombing the old regime while setting up the next big storyline.
But remember, in the world of wrestling, everything's a work until proven otherwise. Is this truly the final bell for McMahon's career, or just another plot twist in wrestling's never-ending soap opera?
The Bigger Picture: American Dream or Nightmare?
"Mr. McMahon" isn't just about wrestling - it's a funhouse mirror reflection of American culture. McMahon's story of a self-made billionaire building an empire on spectacle and controversy might sound eerily familiar (no names mentioned, but certain ex-presidents might be sweating).
The series also forces us to look in the mirror. As fans, are we complicit in the problematic aspects of wrestling's past? It's a question that'll leave you more conflicted than a referee during a run-in.
The Count
"Mr. McMahon" delivers a powerslam of entertainment and insight, It's a must-watch for wrestling aficionados and a fascinating peek behind the curtain for casual viewers.
The series excels in its unflinching look at McMahon's complex legacy, backed by a wealth of insider interviews and rare footage. It stumbles slightly in pacing, occasionally getting caught up in the ropes of wrestling minutiae that might lose non-fans.
However, the compelling narrative and shocking revelations make "Mr. McMahon" a contender for one of the year's most talked-about docuseries. It's a tale of power, manipulation, and the blurred lines between fiction and reality that'll keep you hooked from bell to bell.
The Final Bell
As the dust settles on this no-holds-barred look at Vince McMahon's career, one thing's for sure - the landscape of professional wrestling will never be the same. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing... well, that's for you to decide.
So, what's your take? Is this the end of McMahon's reign, or just another swerve in wrestling's ongoing saga? Drop your thoughts in the comments below, and let's keep this conversation going!
Remember, in the wild world of wrestling, the only thing predictable is unpredictability. And that, folks, is the bottom line!

McMahon." Courtesy Of Netflix
Final Verdict: 8 out of 10 stars ⭐

Dear Survivors, Feeling is Overwhelming.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However well-meaning the layperson or advocate may be, their sincerity can be as overwhelming as it is relieving. The interactions that should have been genuine and kind, were used to manipulate and trap you. The men who should have walked away and called the police, used you for their fantasies of violence. So this person who wants to pay for your coffee, hold open the door, ask for directions, likes your shoes..."What if they want something from me? What if they're lying? What if I believe them? What if this is the first step back down the road I barely escaped?"
The need for BOUNDARIES becomes paramount.
You've borne the brunt of other's trauma and apathy long enough, either living in numbness or overload to survive their emotions. You had to find an equilibrium with pain to defy death on so many levels. The greatest challenge now is evolving out of this hypervigilance: Your feelings do and move without permission or consideration, living apart and independent from any sense of familiarity. They can be selfish things, but a wonderful part of your healing is allowing these feelings to be selfish on behalf of your RECONSTRUCTION.
These feelings...they care about you, about your safety, even as they startle and run wild. There's no room for guilt once you realize this sincerity. All you need are fences strong enough to corral these feral feelings: just enough boundary to coax them back into view without inhibiting the warmth you want to build with the world. Oh, how more EASILY SAID THAN DONE.
YOU are the only face your feelings should recognize in the mirror and the first hand they trust to steady their rages. We can never say enough that it will take time, as healing always does, but aloneness with oneself is the FIRST STEP to trusting yourself. YOU are the most important person in YOUR world right now.
FEEL THAT.

Miriam Margolyes is heading out on a New Zealand road trip
New Post has been published on https://qnews.com.au/miriam-margolyes-is-heading-out-on-a-new-zealand-road-trip/
Miriam Margolyes is heading out on a New Zealand road trip
Tumblr media
Actress, author and international treasure Miriam Margolyes is heading out on another road trip docuseries on the ABC in the new year.
The outspoken British-Australian documentarian charmed us all in her previous two ABC docuseries Almost Australian, Australia Unmasked and Impossibly Australian, as she takes a minivan across the country to meet Aussies from all walks of life. All three of those series are streaming on ABC iview if you haven’t seen them.
Now the ABC has announced Miriam Margolyes: Made in NZ will screen on the ABC in 2025.
“I’m learning my lines for a role in a new film [Holy Days] playing an elderly nun,” Miriam explains.
“In a first for me, the film will be set in New Zealand. I’m very excited about it. But even though it’s just three hours from my home in Sydney, I don’t know anything about New Zealand.
“It seems unforgivable to be so ignorant about a country that’s always been Australia’s closest friend and ally.
“Before I play a New Zealander, I’ve got a campervan to tour the country’s two main islands.
“I want to find out how being a New Zealander is different from being an Aussie. What sets our two countries apart?
“I haven’t got a flying fart of an idea. I need to learn, what is the identity of New Zealand?”
Miriam Margolyes gives candid health update
Miriam Margolyes, known for her acting roles in Harry Potter and Call the Midwife, has been a British-Australian dual citizen for over a decade.
She’s been with her Aussie partner Heather Sutherland since 1968.
In July, Miriam gave a candid update on her health, saying that she knows she “hasn’t got long to live”.
The 83-year-old underwent heart surgery to replace her aortic valve last year. Miriam also shared she’s living with spinal stenosis.
The condition impacts the lower back or neck when the spinal canal narrows and puts pressure on the spinal cord and nerves.
“When you know that you haven’t got long to live – and I’m probably going to die within the next five or six years, if not before – I’m loath to leave behind performing. It’s such a joy,” she told UK’s Telegraph.
“I yearn to play roles that don’t confine me to wheelchairs, but I’m just not strong enough.”
The outspoken octagenarian says she keeps working because her financial situation plays on her mind.
“I’m worried that I won’t have enough money for carers when I finally get paralysed or whatever it is that’s going to happen to me,” Miriam told Radio Times.
“I’m saving up cash so that I can pay people to look after me and my partner.
“We don’t have children, so I need to make sure I’m going to be looked after in the way that I’ve become accustomed.”
Miriam Margolyes released her second book last year and says she’s tapped into a lucrative side hustle: making hundreds of thousands through personalised video site Cameo.
“[The videos are] usually to celebrate someone’s birthday, wedding anniversary or marriage. I’ve got 30 of them to do today,” she told Radio Times.
“I find my [late-in-life popularity] puzzling and very gratifying. I can’t totally explain it. But I do credit Graham Norton with a great deal of my success.
“I was always told that I would come into my own when I was older. I just didn’t know I would have to be this old for it to happen.”

Archivists on the Issues: Fictional Archivists Out in the Open [Part 2]
Continued from part 1
Archivists on the Issues is a forum for archivists to discuss the issues we are facing today. Today’s post comes from Burkely Hermann (me), Metadata Librarian for the National Security Archive and current I&A Blog Coordinator. There will be spoilers for each of the books, animated series, films, and other media he will be discussing. It was published on the Issues & Advocacy blog on March 8, 2023 and will be published on my Wading Through the Cultural Stacks WordPress blog in late September.

However, very few, if any, of these archivists have any professional training. Furthermore, some are archivists in name only, or are confused with librarians. Current fictional depiction of archivists is not very positive. After all, there are even books that depict archivists are villains, or others in which archivists which rarely appear. [2] While there are recent webcomics like Vowrune, Fluidium, and Don't Look at the Sky which feature archives, none of them depict archivists. There has not been, that I'm aware of, any characters which accurately depict an archivist. Surely, there is prevalence of archival source material in "popular recent true crime docuseries" like The Keepers, The Jinx, and Making a Murderer as Cate Peebles noted in 2018, but no archivists.
Often scholars have focused on the role of Star Wars when it comes to depictions of archives, and archivists. [3] Others, such as Gianni Penzo Doria, director of State Archives of Venice, have gone broader, noting archival themes in many films, such as Brazil (1985), Blade (1998), Julie & Julia (2009), Fail Safe (1964), Philadelphia (1993), and Erin Brockovitch (2000). Doria further argued that role of the archivist is lost in common perceptions, with "boring old stereotypes" and "poor visibility" of archives, with archivists becoming caricatures, rather than protagonists. He also states that in film archives are only respected when they are seen as a "sacred place" which preserves "memory of its creator and guarantees accountability and citizens’ rights", but that archivists are not shown in those films. [4] In the preface to Doria's book, Micaela Procaccia, president of National Association of Italian Archives (ANAI), urged archivists to make an effort to "spread awareness of the central role of their work and their professional skills in society." His words ring true.
Others have rightly noted that many of the depictions of archivists "reinforce stereotypes that surround the profession", including in National Treasure. Nuances in the archival field are often lost in popular depictions. Kyle Neill, a Senior Archivist at the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives, has focused on this in his posts on such depictions over the years, as have others. [5] Additional scholars have focused on reel archivists and themes of records, and archives, in espionage fiction. In the case of the former, this included arguments that film images of archivists can be negative to archivists and a risk to the profession, causing negative effects on archival professional identity and may result in potential researchers having "negative connotations about archives and archivists." For the latter, in such fiction, information is power, with stories often stating that documentation can reconstruct someone's personal identity and career, and compiling a large amount of information to learn about their enemy, while events and personal information are intertwined. Unsurprisingly, in such stories, archives are shown as repositories of institutional memory, even if they do not focus on the dilemmas that archivists face when torn between their duty to their employer and their duty to society. [6]
Additional scholars have reviewed films, novels, and TV series, finding common themes. Karen Buckley, in fall 2008, argued that these popular culture medium had stories, with archives and records, which equated protection of truth to protection of a record, made archival experiences interior and archival spaces closed, had lost or buried archives, or stated that information within records centers around "the search for self or truth." This inevitably leads into a strong division between real and fictional archives. [7] Arlene Schumland went further, studying images of archives and archivists "based on a reading of 128 novels", examining how these novels disseminate and perpetuate "many stereotypes of the archival profession." Others followed suit, examining issues surrounding the "image and stereotypes of archivists as presented in films", and arguing that archivists in those films "follow generally accepted stereotypes."
While archives, and archivists, continue to be portrayed poorly, and inaccurately, in fiction, in Star Wars and beyond, it remains important for archivists to tell the truth about the profession. This can, and should, go hand-in-hand with fights for unionization, better working conditions, and recognition, in order to make clear that archival work remains vital in this day and age.

[2] This includes archivists in the webcomics Heirs of the Veil and Leif & Thorn. There's also a librarian named Emily Quackfaster who appears in an episode of DuckTales but works in a library. If you squinted, you could see Theoda and Pothina, who are two researchers who work at the Savior Institute, in Cleopatra in Space, as archivists, or George and Lance in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. There's also Mystique, otherwise known as Raven Darkhölme, who lost contact with her friend Destiny (also known as Irene Adler), who she found "working as an archivist in the Alamogordo nuclear research facilities in New Mexico." Additionally, a solo archivist / lone arranger named Filis appears in bonus material for the live-action TV series, Ultraman Taiga, while multiple episodes of Vatican Miracle Examiner feature an archivist.
[3] Personally, I have been focusing on Star Wars more myself, with recent posts positing that R2-D2 may be an accidental archivist, restricted records and record seizure in Star Wars Rebels, and an upcoming post about an archivist, in name only, in Star Wars Crimson Reign. There were also category on Wookieepedia for "archivists" in Star Wars, although it is hard to know how many are actually archivists.
