The British-Australian star, Miriam Margolyes, best known for her role as Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter film series, was on live TV when she stated, 'I’m on the side of the Palestinians. I have to tell you that now.' She continued, 'Because being Jewish, we always have to state where we stand. Are we for Israel or against Israel? I'm only for humanity. Ceasefire. Ceasefire.

Behind the Scenes of The Star Beast - Part Nine
Excerpt from Emily Cook's interview with Miriam Margolyes for Doctor Who Magazine #596:
It was Tom’s Fourth Doctor, albeit in comic form, who originally encountered Beep the Meep in Doctor Who Weekly’s comic strip Doctor Who and the Star Beast, published in 1980. Ten Doctors later, the story is revived for television featuring David Tennant as the Time Lord. As fate would have it, a couple of months before she was cast in Doctor Who, Miriam had lunch with David. “A mutual friend arranged it,” Miriam explains. “I’d never met David before. I was so nervous of meeting him on my own. I was worried he’d find me boring, so I thought I better invite somebody who would be more interesting than me. So I asked Julian Clary. I thought I was going to be affecting an introduction between David and Julian, but I hadn’t realised they knew each other already because they’d previously worked together. But it was wonderful. I loved meeting David and his wife Georgia. I thought they were heavenly. Lovely people. The sort of people who you’d want to know. I think David’s an exceptional performer. I love that thing he does with the Welshman [Staged, with Michael Sheen]. That’s terribly clever. I loved Broadchurch, too. And he played the serial killer Dennis Nilsen [in Des, 2020]. He’s able to convey a reality gap with characters on the edge so profoundly. He’s quite brilliant. So just knowing him is lovely. I couldn’t believe he wanted to know me. That truly amazed me.” As part of their lunchtime conversation, David expressed surprise that Miriam had never done a Doctor Who before. She has, of course, previously voiced a Blathereen in The Sarah Jane Adventures alongside Simon Callow. “I’d forgotten I’d done that,” says Miriam. “I mean, I’ll do anything for money. I was very jealous of Simon Callow who played Charles Dickens in Doctor Who [in 2005’s The Unquiet Dead], because he’s a friend, and a great Dickens scholar.

The Harry Potter Millennials were quick to jump Miriam Margolyes about what she said but now they’re all turned around, covering their eyes and ears when JK Rowling just went full holocaust denier just like they did with her transphobia and racism.
And the fact that they proved Miriam right with their absolutely absurd behavior too. They’re terrible people who will whine and cry if a kid got picked over them to do the stupid wand store attraction thing at Universal Studios, they need to grow the fuck up. I actually saw a video of a grown ass woman in her 30s crying about how kids always get picked for a KIDS ATTRACTION and not adults and how it isn’t fair and that she paid money for her vacation, so she should have gotten the chance to be picked.
So yeah Miriam is right, JK Rowling can die in a fire and Harry Potter Adults are just as rancid and stinky as Disney Adults.
Also the fact that they act like Harry Potter is her one acting credit , they do that shit every time a actor who was in the movie goes against JK Rowling and and act like she’s the reason why everyone got their start when they’ve been acting for years before that, why the fuck do you think they got picked ? Maybe if they read another book or watched another film series and consumed any other media that wasn’t barfed up from JK Rowling they’d know that.
THAT IS MISS GLOW WORM FROM JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH AND YOU WILL PUT SOME RESPECT ON HER MOTHER FUCKING NAME

I don't normally post about Harry Potter (even though my user is based on it), but to hear the actress who played Professor Sprout say such mean things about fans of the franchise hurt. "It was 25 years ago, and it's for children."
I know the author of Harry Potter is a bigot, but I need everyone to understand that for a lot of people who grew up with the series, it saved us in some way. I know for me it did. My parents were going through their divorce the first time I picked up a Harry Potter book, and I went through so much growing up that I turned to my magical world filled with adventure and magic and found family to find solace. I still do. I am thirty, and I find myself gravitating to the movies or books when life is overwhelming. It's my safe place.
No matter how you feel about us fans, the works, or the author, imagine having an actor from your favorite franchise mock you while still making money off the fandom.
To everyone who is still here and in love with Harry Potter, don't let that woman make you feel childish or bad for liking what you like.

'Doctor Who star David Tennant has managed to inadvertently raise thousands of pounds for LGBTQ+ charity the Albert Kennedy Trust (AKT) by wearing a TARDIS pin in the colours of the trans Pride flag.
Tennant appeared on sketch show The Last Leg on Friday (17 November) and The One Show last night (20 November), to discuss his return as the Doctor for the upcoming Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials.
On both programmes, he donned a small pin badge shaped like the Doctor’s spacecraft, the TARDIS, in blue, white and pink – the trans Pride flag colours.
The creator of the badge, Dr Jamie Gallagher, has since shared on social media that all profits raised from purchases of it will be donated to charity AKT, which supports homeless LGBTQ+ people in the UK.
Hours before Tennant’s appearance on The One Show, Gallagher updated their followers to announce that more than £18,000 had been raised for the charity.
“Thank you beautiful humans. That will make a huge difference to LGBTQ+ people living with homelessness this winter,” Gallagher shared, adding that their website was “blowing up” with people trying to order the TARDIS Pride pins.
Tennant’s wife, actress Georgia Tennant, has also promoted the badges on her social media.
In recent months, the Tennants have become staunch trans allies, as one of their children is reportedly non-binary.
David Tennant has been spotted on TV numerous time wearing a range of trans and non-binary pin badges, including one which read: “You are safe with me”.
In July, he was spotted wearing a “leave trans kids alone” t-shirt while promoting his Prime Video series, Good Omens.
The t-shirt drew fierce backlash from anti-trans campaigners, most notably from The IT Crowd creator Graham Lineham – who suggested that Tennant was an “abusive groomer” for his support of trans children. Lineham was later reportedly dropped by his TV agent, who also represented Tennant, over his comments.
To mark Pride month in June, Tennant appeared on the Reasons To Be Cheerful podcast, urging that while the community can’t “expect that we will always travel in the right direction towards acceptance,” everyone should be “fighting that fight every day”.
David Tennant will make his much-anticipated Doctor Who return this Saturday, 25 November, as part of the queerest series yet, with LGBTQ+ icons Ncuti Gatwa, Yasmin Finney, Miriam Margoyles and Neil Patrick Harris also starring.'
