With all the issues in the world and with so many governments going down the toilet something my history teacher told me is really sticking to me.

Bad history teachers are a threat to National security.

That is what she believes and why she became a history teacher. I agree with her. Bad teachers are threats to National security. Not teaching students about history is a threat to National security. Teaching students a white washed history is a threat to national security. It’s not just history, it’s also science and English teachers who are important. With all of the missinformation it’s important students to how the world works and understand basic science. Especially with anti vaxxers and flat earthers. Good English teach students how to be critical thinkers and think for themselves. Reading books from authors, genres and time periods give students a better understanding of the world out them. I didn’t enjoy many of the books I read such as The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie or The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Manly because both books had like no likable characters. But I’m glad I had to read them for school especially The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian. Reading it gave me a look on how it is the be a Native American living in the USA and trying to break the cycle of poverty.

Teachers need to be treated much better, we need to give them respect so they can stay in profession and give it their all. They are the ones to prepare the youth for the real world. Some of the most important people in society. Yes there are crappy teachers out there, ones that don’t care, ones that have favorites, ones that are ableist, racist, sexist etc, teachers that in all honesty shouldn’t be teachers. I do have teachers I dislike and one that I hate (she didn’t understand my IEP) but still most teachers want what’s best for their students. I’m super grateful for many of the teachers I had throughout the years. Teachers are the backbone of society and we need to treat them like that.

Being an elementary school teacher is one of the carers I’m looking at (and the one that’s is most possible) and I want to be the teacher that students come back to say hello years later. I want to leave positive impact on my students. Make them love going to school make them feel like they belong, teach them to I brace themselves and respect others as well. Make them love learning want to know as much as possible. Ask questions and be good people. If I become i teacher I would love to work at the elementary school I went to, because that’s where my love for learning came from and I feel like life would have come full circle

Shen Yuan is just a very nice teacher there and all the kids adore him. LBH will try making him little snacks to try, LQG picks flowers or finds insects to show off, basically all the kids are sweethearts to him!

They hate principal Shen Jiu though! He’s mean and glares at Shen Yuan! He’s always ordering the man around! Stealing his lunch!

It’s one awful day when LBH sees them at the store together, realizing they are married.

YQY is a kid too but he’s like the one guy obsessed with that mean teacher, fights for Shen Jiu’s public opinion like it’s his job.

Shen Jiu’s office is covered with things from him, and Shen Yuan is like ‘ah he never gets me things!’ And Shen Jiu is just like ‘everyone else does? Back off.’

I havent participated in daily dracula this year, but that and re: dracula really shows how important it is that schools reevaluate how they teach classics. Especially when literacy is at such a low point and an interest in books is so uh not great. I guarantee students that engaged in classics in fun and unique ways remember the books so much better than those that were forced to just read it.

the world is DIFFERENT now. Our educational standards, like it or not, need to evolve with the kids. They can’t do nothing, but we ALSO shouldn’t be working them past their limits. Give them a break.

“Is there anything that I can do to help out right now, Mr. Black?” A gentle voice that has rapidly become familiar says, just behind Regulus.

The teacher quickly gives his instructions to the student that he’s watching over before turning to the woman, “Not that I can think of, Miss Potter, but thank you.” 

“Oh, I meant to tell you,�� she smiles, “It’s Evans now, the divorce has been finalised and I wanted to go back to my maiden name.”

“Of course, we can work that out with the school’s system at some point this week, I’m glad things have all been sorted out. If you don’t mind me asking, why did you and Mr. Potter divorce?” 

The woman smiles softly, “Oh Harry’s obsessed with his father, you’ve probably heard the world of him.” She shakes her head, “It’s nothing bad, we just… our love wasn’t romantic like it used to be.”

“I’m glad that everything was amicable then, things like divorce can be hard on children, and while I doubt that you’ll be giving him any issues, I’ll make it clear that I can be a listening ear for Harry.”

“That would be greatly appreciated, thank you, Mr. Black.” Then she furrows her brows, quickly leaning down to help a child with the craft that they’re working on, “You haven’t met my hu- ex-husband have you?”

Regulus shakes his head, “I don’t believe I have. I understand that he was helping out with today, but I don’t think he and I have crossed paths.” 

The woman takes a moment to gesture to where a group of kids are sitting around playing with some of the water toys at a table. With them is a man seemingly explaining how putting a block in the way of a channel of water stops the water from flowing, “That’s him.” And Regulus feels nearly frozen watching the man. He has a kind smile on his face and he’s talking to the kid with such kind patience. They’re near enough that Regulus is able to hear the man’s echoing laugh when the kid says or does something. He’s broad, clearly fit, and looks dorky in the outfit that he’s wearing alongside round glasses that sit low on his nose. 

Lily seems to pick up on his thought process, as she lets out her own gentle laugh, “He gets that a lot.”

“How did you manage to not get jealous all the time?” Regulus blurts before shaking his head, “My apologies that were… unprofessional.” 

“Your brother is dating my best friend,” Lily smiles, “I don’t think you need to worry about being all that professional with me. And to answer your question, I just had to get used to it. That man is loyal, almost to a fault, and incredibly oblivious to people flirting with him so I never had any reason to be… nervous about people flirting with him. And I mean, he was my husband, I understood.”

“You’re better than me.” Regulus hums, but leaves it at that, tearing his eyes away from the man smiling and playing with the children to help out the kids that he himself is watching over.
