Effie 👕10. If your character could splurge on a particular garment, what would it be? This but it needs to be More Pink and More Sparkly please and thank you.

🍽️1. What flavor would your character say their personality is? Lemonade with a shot of vodka, triple sec, and grenadine ;D Oh and that pretty sparkly food safe powder! That too. Fruity and sweet and sharp and boozy ;D

🤝9. Where is your character's comfort place? Spooning or being spooned by Tempie u_u If not with her then elbow deep in legal research or party planning. She gets in so deep with party planning every other stress sort of falls away.

💓8. What scents does your character find comforting? She likes sweet floral fruity scents the most! That or fruit and spice scents like apples and cinnamon :D

🎲10. Is there a skill your character doesn’t know they’re bad at? If videogames existed she would be amazingly awful at them. The type to just walk off the stage in Smash Bro’s while going “Did I do it? Wait where did my little blob go?? Where are they? D:”. But in universe she’s pretty aware of what skills she lacks. However she’s never tried knitting, but if she did she’d quickly find out she just makes a tangled mess. There is no saving her.

Zimri 👕1. What is your character's favorite physical trait they possess? Zimri is quite fond of all of her physical traits -she knows she’s hot shit after all it’s sort of her job- but she’s most proud of her figure. It’s hard maintaining her very pear shaped body for dance and combat and information gathering after all, but she pulls it off wonderfully.

📦14. Is there an item your character is embarrassed they own or want? Honestly? She is so hard to embarrass, nothing is really coming to mind! I think the closest thing would be that she still has the contract Avi signed to purchase her before taking her to his court and basically becoming her new dad. She pulls it out sometimes and thinks about burning it, but she misses him and his court so badly she can’t seem to get rid of it. It is a bit embarrassing because it’s basically the receipt for herself as a product, which should be an awful memory, and it mostly is but it’s also one of the last pieces of Avi’s handwriting she has left.

🍽️3. Is there a food or drink your character is unwilling to try? That depends entirely on who is in the room, who is paying for the food, and what the kitchen looks like. She’s a bit picky about food safety, but if someone paid her to eat with them she’ll eat it without complaint. She is not a fan of super crunchy hard foods though. Zimri was also raised nomadically and food was sometimes slim, so she'll eat to survive but she won't enjoy the taste.

💓2. Are there particular sounds your character is fond of? Drums and wind chimes are favorites in different ways. Drums make her feel lively and want to dance, while the chimes make her more likely to relax and close her eyes to take it in.

🎲11. Does your character have any injury stories? She once got stabbed while in bed with a visiting diplomat’s aide. Totally unexpected too. She wasn’t even trying to dig for information, she just seemed fun so she slept with her and then got stabbed! Apparently the aide had done it before, and they were able to arrest and try her for her past murders. Zimri was stronger than she was expecting for a court entertainer though, so she really only got in the one stab before Zimri was able to overpower her and call the guards. .

For Lemon: 12, 24, and 42 12. What’s something that makes them laugh every single time? Be specific! Someone playing pretend/doing a bit and letting her in on the joke. Examples include: Rinn dropping her off and kissing her hand then calling her Fair Lady like a goober, Cael calling her Ms. Bakhouzin and that she drives a hard bargain all over deciding who pays for what at dinner, Nick doing something similar about her driving a hard bargain over something silly. It always gets her giggling. Lemon also loves a good play on words. They’re like little word puzzles, and she loves puzzles! 24. Did they take a cookie from the cookie jar? What kind of cookie was it? Lemon has snuck multiple cookies, hand pies, fritters, and once managed to inhale an entire tray of Special Brownies when no one was looking. She was fine, just incredibly stoned with a slightly upset tummy, so her big cousins kept an eye on her while the leaf worked its way out of her system. It’s surprising what one tiny puppy eyed halfling lass can get away with lol. She actually got her deer rib bone runes from Coyote by trading an entire kitchen's worth of baked goods and trading it when she was under 10 years old, and got grounded from baking lessons from Rosalind for a month >>’  42. If invited to a TED Talk, what topic would they present on? What would the title of their presentation be? Lemon could give multiple TED Talks, because she is a Giant Nerd, but her four main hyper fixations are arcana, nature, baking, and romance smut novels. So she might host a “Biology and Magic: How the Two Overlap” or “Local Species: What’s On the Menu, What’s a No Go, and Why?” or “Basics of Baking With Bakhouzin's” or lastly “Top Best and Worst Romance Novel Tropes”.

For Effie: 21, 38, and 45 21. What common etiquette do they disagree with? Do they still follow it? Effie is a whirlwind of over the top nonsense, but shockingly she does follow most common etiquette rules out of habit. She was raised in court by her politician parents, so she follows most of them without really thinking. What she doesn’t disagree with is the supposed etiquette of “minding her own business”. If she can hear it, that makes it free game. She wants all the facts in the correct order. Will she do anything with all that fact checked gossip? Most likely not, but it could be important some day!  38. What hobby are they good at in private, but bad at in front of others? Why? I like to think Effie has a lovely soprano singing voice, but for some reason when you put her in front of people suddenly she has to make a joke out of it and just cannot sing normally. Mostly because she really enjoys singing, and doesn’t want to be told she’s bad at something she loves.  45. What’s something unimportant / frivolous that they hate passionately? Socks and sandals. She knows entire cultures do it, that it isn’t exactly a fashion thing for them, etc etc. She Knows. Effie still hates it with a fiery passion. Not as passionately as she loves Temperance, but only by a few degrees.  

and, if so inclined, for Daffodil: 25, 30, and 39? 25. What subject / topic do they know a lot about that’s completely useless to the direct plot? All of the gossip in and around her human family’s court from 300-ish years ago. Who was besotted with who, who was caught talking the lover’s walk unattended into the gardens after midnight at Sir Macavoy’s last ball, who stole money at card night! Daffodil also can’t follow up on this gossip, because the humans involved are all dead now and her elf mother is MIA. She is very frustrated by this fact.  30. When they make a mistake and feel bad, does the guilt differ when it’s personal versus when it’s professional? Honestly, personal is so much worse than professional. Professional mistakes happen and can be a combination of many things not entirely in her control, but disappointing one of her muses? Her light and love and joy?? The very core of her songs??? Her inspiration that makes life worth continuing???? Devastating. She will take to her bed in a faint.  39. Would they rather be invited to an event to feel included or be excluded from an event if they were not genuinely wanted there That depends entirely on why she isn’t wanted there I think. Daffodil enjoys a bit of extra drama, so if her showing up would cause a bit of stir she totally would want to be invited anyway and show up with bells on. If her family didn’t want her there because her presence would cause issues for them, then she wouldn’t want to be invited.

WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER EFFIE PSA!!!

This time, mimic care! Now- this may be surprising to some people, but I have a pet mimic, and a rowdy one at that. His name is Chester Duncan Virens, and he takes the form of a blue polka-dot bowl filled with popcorn! I think I have a picture somewhere…

Thing is with mimics, they can be very tricky to train. Transitioning out of that craving-humanoid-flesh phase is difficult, but here are some tips and tricks I learned!

1. slowly introduce alternative foods: Chester gets hungry easily, and tends to lunge at anything with flesh. I have found that by offering other meats like jerky and rat snacks distracts him and takes him away from whatever he’s targeting. Bonus points if you put it on some wheels- mimics love to hunt!

2. chew toys!!!: Mimics are biters, and Chester attack anything that he feels threatened by. This leads to holes in clothes, furniture, and even your own flesh! Not fun. When your mimic is feeling bite-y, other a chew toy made of bone, rubber, or any other sturdy material. You can even stuff it with snacks for some enrichment.

3. correct bad behavior: Mimics don’t know what you like or dislike unless you tell them. Correcting bad behavior can be tricky, ESPECIALLY if you have a mischievous lad. What I’ve used with Chester are different tones. Soft voices and pets for good behavior, stern voice for bad behavior. You can even use some mimic-spray if you really need your mimic to stop doing something (it just scares them, but use sparingly)

4. spend time with your mimic: a mimic has to get used to you, and best way to do that is to spend time with them! If your mimic is still bite-y, try sitting outside their cage and slowly offering your hand to sniff. Gloves and armor may be needed.

5. Containment: if your mimic is a bit of an escape artist, finding the proper cage is important. Reinforced steel bar cages are strong enough to withstand a mimic’s jaws. Having fences with these bars is good too, mimics gotten get fresh air! If you wanna take your mimic for a walk, make sure you get a high quality collar with a chain leash. A mimic may be used to you, but they are still bite-y around others

Befriending a mimic is a tough but rewarding journey. Everyone can have their own ways for taming a mimic, these are just things that have worked for me! There might even be a time where your mimic doesn’t need a cage or a leash! They can be loyal companions and protectors if you can gain their trust.

Finally introduced my new D&D character to the party! I love her so much she's so much fun to play!!!

Meet Ethereal Sunset of the Living Woods Clan. Or Effie for short. She's a tabaxi rogue/druid multiclass with trust issues, she's joining the established party as they traverse different planes of existence, because she's trying to track down the whereabouts of her partner Tranquil Sunrise (Quil).

Once upon a time Effie and Quil were well known in certain circles for being high calibre criminals. Effie a thief and Quil a forger. They'd taken up this life after leaving home, neither quite fitting into the families they were born into, both having a strong sense of wanderlust. But running away isn't cheap, so the two found themselves using their skills to get by.

Effie was dexterous, intelligent, and charismatic, able to sneak by unnoticed as she blended into the shadows and turned into a cat to gather intel for various criminal groups. Quil was smart and charismatic above all else, and proficient with a paintbrush, able to forge things from documents to paintings for the black market.

But the two renounced their criminal ways as they grew older and acquired enough money to live comfortably. They settled into a cosy cottage on the shore of a lake surrounded by woods that reminded them of the more happy moments of their childhood. They lived peacefully, Quil painting in the dappled light of the sun through the leaves, selling their own works instead of forgeries, now. Effie reading book after book and journalling her every thought, writing the short stories that would fill her mind. Sure, she would occasionally steal the odd knickknack, but she wasn't the thief she once was anymore.

But then The War started. The fall of a god, the talk of vampires and zombies and krackens. Of shadows and stolen souls. And one day Effie came home from the market - new canvases and paint, some spices plucked from an overfull market table, a loaf of fresh bread - to find Quil missing, no sign of a struggle. The only thing out of place a cryptic note that leads Effie back to the criminal underbelly of the world and eventually to the knowledge that Quil has been imprisoned on another plane of existence.

But That Adventuring Party had to go and blow up the only way to traverse through planes, a tree that contains a portal, so Effie goes on a long hunt for other ways, until she hears that, somehow That Adventuring Party has planted a new portal tree.

And so, when they turn up in the refugee town she's been staying in, she decides to follow them.

She follows the stone man into the forests first, watches him for a bit but he's not very interesting, takes long breaks of doing nothing but staring out into the wilds - he does nickname her cat disguise Jeff, though.

Then she follows the girl with the long braid, but she's also rather boring, quiet and withdrawn often in the library researching, or helping a dragonborn she seems to know well with the community soup kitchen.

Then there's the boy with the curls, he's more fun to watch, because he spends a lot of time out at the tavern drowning himself in booze and his drunken antics are entertaining.

They all go back to an old abandoned looking artificer's shop at the end of the day, and Effie cases the place, steals a couple of interesting looking things too because why not.

But finally she hears The Party talk of portals and planes, and it's time for Effie to reveal herself to them, and time for her to finally find Quil.

7. You have the key to immortality in your hands. But not for free. If you want it, as a price, your worst enemy also gains immortality. Is it worth it?

Effie puts her hand to her chest, bright green eyes gone comically wide as she gasps lightly.  “I would never leave my Tempie behind! Now that she’s in my life I couldn’t imagine living that long without her! If we don’t die together in bed, old and loved, I won't know what to do with myself,” she says, pulling her hand back far enough from her chest to examine her neatly kept bright pink glittery nails. “Besides I would never give the cunt the satisfaction of living such a long life. Sort of defeats the whole purpose of me ruining it doesn’t it? No satisfaction if she just kept on living forever afterwards. Sooner or later her suffering would be so totally stale.”

17. Have you ever gotten sheer joy out of hurting someone else, either physically or mentally? To whom and why? Did it scare you?

She thinks about that for a long moment, twirling a lock of hair as she rolls the thought around a bit. “You know I have. It’s like….like the kind of satisfaction that comes from breaking down someone who spent their leisure time destroying other people's entire lives,” Effie says with a small shrug. “Unfortunately I can’t tell you who, that’s what NDA’s are for. You totally get it. I know they’re such a pain but an NDA is an NDA. Anywho I was totally within the bounds of the law when I did ruin them. Just because there was some social backlash doesn’t mean it wasn’t right. I’m not worried about enjoying it. My Tempie would stop me from going past the point of no return, if not by her direct action then my love for her would keep my reigns held tight.”

26. Is your personal happiness more important than anything else in the world? Than fame? Than the happiness of others?

Effie snorts, entirely unladylike, and covers her mouth as she grins. “While I am a bit of a hedonist with some things, there’s stuff I totally admit is more important than my own personal stuff. Tempie’s happiness for example. Fame doesn’t mean all that much if the people I care about aren’t cared for anyway.”

12. If someone else stole something and you stole it back is that a good deed, a bad deed or one of equal worth? Are you better than the original thief?

Daffodil leans her chin on one curled hand, lilac eyes sparking with mischief. “Have you been conversing with my dearest ever new delight? This seems quite like its source may stem from the ever turning mind of our captain Magpie,” she teases lightly, leaning back as she settles more into her seat. “Larceny can be many things, righteous or disreputable depending upon many factors the one may not always be in total dominion over. I do not believe either deed has any effect on the other really, and as long as our architect does not make a game of pilfering my family's good silver, I do believe I will leave the burglary in the hands of the professionals.” 

16. Have you ever contemplated killing someone? Who and why? Would you ever act on it? Are you frightened you might?

Daffodil looks directly at, or perhaps through, the interviewer as a sharp smile sets her gaze alight. “Darling I am well versed in many a trade. Death is not a stranger in my business, nor will they ever be. They dine at my table as easily as I at theirs,” she purrs, maintaining frankly too much eye contact as she speaks, lilting soprano voice gone low and even. “Those who attempt to harm my muses will find that I am quite the composer of final ballades, and I relish the opportunity to share my song, even if I should not deign to stoop to their level. I would not wish to upset my lionheart with such a slaughter, or draw too much undue attention to my privateer, so it is a rare song I sing in its familiar refrain.” 

33. If you could wipe certain memories from your head, would you? Why would you? What memories?

She plays with the thought for a long moment, twisting it to see different sides, before ultimately shaking her head. “No. The music would be poorer without the most varied experiences. My muses provide all the comfort I would require regardless of what the machinations of those in a higher power may thrust upon the path.”

i love the idea of sirius and james growing up together, like they went to the same preschool and begged their parents to hang out every day and they both cry when they have to go home

they also go to the same primary school and BEG to go to the same secondary school and of course they got their way, their parents weren't about to deal with the fallout of separating them

their school life is similar to hogwarts, they meet remus and peter and they're THE group, like they're nerds and play DND but also play football and are great with the teachers and their grades are good too and they're always up to some shit

but james and sirius have always been a little closer, not to the point of jealousy in the group but just,,,its different

james isn't super sure of his sexuality in secondary school but sirius is like,,handsome and pretty somehow? he likes girls, lily evans is still the hottest girl in school and his first crush, but sirius is,,,there's something about him

sirius knew he was bi since forever lmao he's dated guys and girls but nothing has ever really been 'love' for him, at least not yet

he loves james though, obviously, he's always loved james how could he not? he's handsome and funny and smart and charming and tall and—

they're each others first kiss at a house party in year 10, its awkward and they're drunk and outside in the garden trying cigarettes for the first time and its,,,nice?

james finally dates lily in sixth form and they're the school's it couple for months, they are really cute together and they're affectionate and they're both top of their classes, lily is the school's netball team captain and james is the football captain, its great

and then lily breaks down in their last year crying because she thinks she might be gay and she's been so scared to tell james and hurt him but he's the most supportive guy about it

he cries with her because he feels awful for making her feel bad about it

of course he's upset, he really loved lily and always will, but if it isnt meant to be, it isnt meant to be (he cries to monty and effie for a few weeks before finally coming out of hiding and he and lily stay close, james even helps set her up with girls when she's too nervous)

when sirius finds out he basically runs to james' house, he's so worried about his best friend and his heart is hammering in his chest and when he gets there they talk about everything and james cries a little, lily was his first crush, first love, first girlfriend, he lost his virginity to her, she's a huge part of his life and his story

and sirius feels awful because he's happy james is single...because maybe he has a chance?

sirius kisses him and its bad,,,james reels. back, he's so confused and upset and so is sirius and sirius goes home and they dont talk for like two weeks, its awful

peter and remus are awkwardly talking as the other two are silent until peter breaks and begs them to just stop the petty arguing and talk because they're best friends and this is weird, remus quietly agrees and tells them to grow some balls and talk about their feelings like men

sirius apologises for kissing him, smoking a cigarette outside the bike sheds as james kicks stones around and its awkward for sure but they make up

and james is slowly back to his old self after the break up, he and lily hang out and everything is okay, but sirius is,,,james feels different about him

he's more handsome than ever, more charismatic, he was always like this??

and james realises he fancies him and he whines to remus about it and remus, the very gay man that he is, just tells james to tell him

james instead just tries to hang out with sirius like its normal, even after they finish sixth form and look for uni's to apply too together james is looking at sirius' lips, his fingers, his hair, his ass, his chest, everything

he's just,,,,gorgeous

and then their first week of uni happens, freshers is underway and remus is down from edinburgh and peter is back from holiday and they all go out drinking with their new flatmates and classmates and its great,,,then james sees sirius chatting a girl up and his heart breaks

james tries to drink it away but that wont work so he just huffs at sirius and drags him to the toilets to yell at him for flirting with someone and sirius is SO confused because why does james care then it slowly sinks in and as james is yelling and nearly crying, admitting that he wants sirius to flirt with HIM and ONLY him, sirius just grabs him and kisses him, dragging him into a stall and locking it

its so heavy and hot and passionate and everything they wanted and needed and maybe they jerk each other off in the bathroom, whose to say? but they come out red faced and with messy clothes and they're both grinning because god theyre idiots but they're each others idiots

Ok take two

So I have a lot of ocs(last check was over 100, not including the ones I’m still developing), all spread through various original stories and including self inserts for a lot of different media.

But by far the biggest project for my ocs is my fantasy world I’ve been making since I was 18 ish? It’s called Omirus and 62 of all my ocs come from this world, also not including minor characters and villains.

The story essentially revolves around 8 different teams of adventurers and the quests they go on(speaking of dnd, this originally was a campaign idea before it evolved into what it is now!). Each team has a leader and I usually refer to the teams by their leader. When I’m thinking about them, I’ll say ‘team Name’ in my head.

In my first go at this, I shared a bit about all 8 leaders, but I’m so tired now, I’m just gonna share my four favorites and if I have the energy tomorrow, I’ll try to share the other four as well

Effie:

THIS IS MY MAIN GIRL!! SHE IS MY FAVORITE!!!

Effie is a young witch in training after she came across some ancient runes and an old magic infused itself with her, and now she has this crazy amount of magic that she doesn’t know how to control or use, by she’s determined to conquer it. She’s very chaotic and loved causing problems on purpose, and dreams on standing on top of the world one day. At any given time, I am most likely thinking about Effie and her team.

Her story revolves around maturity and overcoming her past.

Tager:

THIS IS MY MAIN BOY!! HE IS MY SECOND FAVORITE!!!

Tager is a were-cat who’s actually the rookie in a secret organization of powerful soldiers. He’s very sweet and has a deep love for most people he comes across. All he really cares about it helping out whoever he can, especially those closest to him.

His story revolves around finding positivity in dark times.

Rune:

Rune is a dragon hybrid who was created by a goddess a long long time ago. However, for reasons he can’t remember, she abandoned him and left him imprisoned in a cave for thousands of years. This caused his mental state to become a bit unstable and he struggles with his animalistic side now. The only thing he remembered about himself was his name.

His story revolves around his identity and humanity.

Dally:

Lastly, Dally is a performer with a great singing voice that often draws people into her orbit. Her girlfriend is also an adventurer(and is even apart of a team not listed here), and she decided to go on a quest of her own to see what else the world has to offer and bring her own stories to tell her girlfriend the next time they meet.

Her story revolves around love. Both romantic and platonic.
