Trapped - eddietommy
Hi!💜💜💜 Um... well... this got way too long so... I'm sorry *puppy dog eyes*
Hope you like it and I'm sorry for any mistakes!
(Explicit around the middle, by the way!)
“This is all your fault,” Tommy says, crossing his arms.
“My fault?!? How is this my fault?!? If anything, this is all your fault!” Eddie says in disbelief.
“You tempted me with your,” Tommy makes an all-encompassing gesture at Eddie, “everything!”
Eddie gets all flustered and blushes all pretty and Tommy wants to have his way with him again. “You're doing it again,” Tommy huffs.
Throwing his arms in the air, Eddie yelps, “I'm not doing anything!”
Tommy shakes his head, knowing that somehow Eddie can't see the effect he has on him.
“Never mind… what are we going to do now?” Tommy asks, looking around the empty and dark library.
“Well, my phone died and you left yours in the truck so… we are just trapped here,” Eddie says, resignedly.
“Maybe we could break the door?” Tommy asks, even though he doesn't like that idea.
Raising one eyebrow, Eddie replies, “And risk getting into even more trouble? No, thank you!”
“Maybe there's a phone in the back or something?”
“I guess it's worth a shot…” Eddie nods and starts walking.
Tommy watches him go, enjoying the view, before shaking himself of his stupor and following him.
“I'm sorry,” Tommy says once he catches up to Eddie.
Eddie looks at him sideways before sighing fondly. “You started it but I was more than happy to follow along. So, really, it's both of our faults.”
Grabbing him by the hips, Tommy pulls Eddie into a soft and tender kiss, nothing like the kisses they shared half an hour ago. Those kisses had been hot, filled with passion, lust, and desperation. A mix of wanting each other badly and feeling the thrill of being possibly caught in the act.
It all started when Eddie asked Tommy to take him to the public library before their date because Chris needed a book and Eddie had forgotten to get it for him. Tommy had happily said yes and had driven them quickly to the library as it was getting late and it was nearing their closing time.
Once inside, Tommy stopped perusing the shelves pretty quickly and instead had decided to stare at Eddie, who looked incredibly hot in his date outfit.
Unable to resist him, Tommy had taken a quick look around and, after not seeing anyone close by, had taken Eddie's hand and pulled him to the farthest and darkest corner of the library. There, Tommy had proceeded to hungrily kiss him against one of the shelves.
Soon, the kiss had turned into more. Their hands had started to roam each other's bodies until both of their belts had been unbuckled and both of their pants had been unzipped. Between kisses and demands of keeping quiet, Tommy had taken Eddie into his hand and started stroking him in a slow and torturous way. He had teased him, changing the pacing of his stroke, loving how Eddie begged and whined in desperation until coming completely undone. It had been one of the hottest handjobs of his life. Eddie had then gotten onto his knees and had swallowed him whole.
After they had gotten their pants back on, somewhat fixed their dishevelled hair, and half-heartedly straighten their shirts, they had walked back to the main part of the library only to find it completely empty with the main lights off.
Taking a look at the clock hanging from one of the walls had shown them that it was past closing time. They had shared a brief look of worry before running to the doors, which were obviously completely closed and locked.
Now, Tommy ends the kiss and rests their foreheads together.
“I hope we find a phone,” Eddie mutters.
“I hope so, too. Though what I really hope is that it won't be the 118 or Athena that come to get us out,” Tommy jokes.
Eddie leans back and looks at him in slight horror. “You know what? I bet they have some food in their little kitchen. Let's just stay here and wait until they open again in the morning.”
Laughing, Tommy holds his hand and pulls him along. “Come on! Chris is waiting, we can't spend the night here.”
"He'll be fine… he's a teenager, he will love to have a whole night without his dad in the house," Eddie says seriously, though Tommy knows that Eddie doesn't mean it.
"I'm not spending the night here unless we have no other choice," Tommy says, chuckling.
“Fine! But when they ask how this happened, I will tell them it's all your fault!”

The Prize for Bad Behavior
Chapter 1: What are you going to do about it?
“I know why he’s acting like this. I just don’t know what to do about it.” Eddie sat across the glossed over wood bar table from Tommy. His pint glass hadn’t left his hand for more than a few seconds since the waitress set it down in front of him ten minutes ago and he looked more annoyed than Tommy had yet to see him. They’d just finished up the pick up game on the west side. A game they had easily dominated. They should be in a great mood. But their happiness over the game was being greatly overshadowed by the nasty attitude they’d both been on the receiving end of from Eddie’s best friend.
“You do?” Tommy questioned his eyebrow raising enough that he could feel the pull on his face. Still clearly irritated, Eddie gulped down more beer before coming up for air. His face twisted up into a scowl.
“Of course I do! I know Buck as well as I know myself.”
Tommy had no doubt about that. One of the very first things that Tommy had picked up on when Eddie and him began hanging out, was that he and Evan were attached at the hip. But Eddie’s own admission, the two were each other’s everything. And what Tommy didn’t understand, was how neither man had figured out that everything meant madly in love. He’d seen it a million times in his life. It was a common thing especially among gays. Two people who were best friends, trying so hard to convince themselves that’s all it was. But Tommy had a suspicion that in this case, the two men truly had no idea.
“He’s jealous!” Eddie’s words had Tommy pausing, glass halfway to his mouth as he looked over the table. For a moment, the words had made Tommy believe he’d been wrong, and that at least Eddie was aware of the feelings between them. But a quick assessment of the younger man’s face showed nothing more than surface level irritation.
“What could he have to be jealous of?” He asked, moving to drink his beer. Hoping that the move would hide his interest in the subject, which he was sure was obvious on his face.
Tommy wasn’t entirely sure where his interest lied at that point. There was a moment after the cruise ship rescue, where Evan had looked at Tommy with so much love and happiness and appreciation in his gorgeous blue eyes, that Tommy had sworn Evan was attracted to him. It was a thought that Tommy had felt was confirmed when Evan had gone to Hen to get his number before calling him up and asking him for a tour of the Air Support Hangar. But ever since that day, it had seemed like Tommy had been way off track. Evan hadn’t reached out at all. Not even bothering to reply when Tommy had sent him a text asking if he’d enjoyed his tour. What was more, the basketball game had been the first time Tommy had seen the adorable firefighter since that day, and he’d acted like both Eddie and Tommy were bugs on the bottom of his shoe.
And then, there was Eddie. Tommy couldn’t deny that the man was a knockout. He was hot, a ton of fun to be around, they shared a lot of interests and genuinely just enjoyed each other’s company. Tommy couldn’t deny he was excited every time he knew they were going to be hanging out. It felt just the same giddiness he had with past romantic partners. But despite the fact that Eddie had a tendency to flirt seemingly without realizing it, and a late night admission that he took the path in life he did solely because it had been what was expected of him, Tommy still hadn’t gotten solid indication that Eddie would be open to him making a move. So, he hadn’t.
Tommy watched the irritation melt off Eddie’s face at his question. It was replaced by a look of mourning. Eddie sighed. “He gets insecure.” He told him. It was the last thing Tommy had expected him to say.
“Insecure?” He parroted. “He’s good looking, sweet, from what I hear he’s a damn good firefighter. What is it he’s insecure about? I mean, clearly he knows he can’t be replaced. Especially not in your life.”
Eddie thought it over for a moment, the sad look on his face deepening. “He doesn’t know that.” His friend’s sexy brown eyes met his expectant gaze for a long moment, drilling in the overwhelming truth in what he’d just said, before flicking down to the table. “There’s a long and really messed up story behind it. But Buck doesn’t believe he’s enough…for anyone. I’ve tried so hard over the years to convince him otherwise. And he’s a lot better than he used to be, but-”
“Let me guess, but when it comes to you and your friendship, his jealousy is easily spiked.” Eddie’s attention snapped back up to him, disbelief clouding his eyes.
“Yeah. How’d you know that?” This was one of those moments, where Eddie spoke to him in a way as adoring as Buck’s gaze after the rescue. It made Tommy’s stomach drop a little. Like when the helicopter caught a slight down draft. Noticeable but not overwhelming.
“Because people are unreasonably protective over the things they love the most.” Tommy answered lightly. He knew that after only knowing these two men for a couple of weeks, that it wasn’t his place to interfere. Especially after Evan and Eddie had been tap dancing around the subject for years. But as a man who finally felt comfortable in himself and his sexuality, he couldn’t let two men who were clearly head over heels for each other, miss their opportunity because they refused to see it. If there was one thing that Tommy could do as Eddie’s friend, it’d be to lay this out for him.
Surprisingly, Eddie didn’t some much as a blink at Tommy’s words. A knowing expression pressed his features. “I know that better than anyone.” He muttered more to himself than his friend. “That’s why I’ve never told him that I want to be with him.”
When Eddie finally got the courage to meet Tommy’s eyes, it took a moment for him to actually see the smirk being offered his way.
“You knew?” He questioned. Tommy couldn’t help but laugh.
“Of course I knew. I mean, it’s pretty obvious-well, to everyone but you two apparently.” Eddie’s mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water, giving Tommy the chance to compose himself. With a sigh of resignation, he threw caution and common sense to the wind. “Why do you think I didn’t ask you out on a real date?”
Eddie’s jaw snapped shut, his brows pressing together in confusion as he assessed the man across from him. Tommy knew he was questioning whether or not it was a joke, so Tommy met his gaze head on. “You wanted to ask me out?” Eddie finally asked. His tone not just level, but even holding the tiniest bit of teasing. Tommy’s stomach dipped again.
“Of course I did!” Tommy threw back playfully. “Come on Diaz, you’re a good looking dude. And a shit ton of fun to hang out with. Why wouldn’t I be attracted to you?”
Eddie let out an exhale that sounded a lot like a laugh from where Tommy was sitting. “Damn. And here I thought you kind of had a thing for Buck. I mean, I saw the way you were looking at him on the boat.”
Tommy’s teeth sank into his bottom lip. “I am.” He admitted before shaking his head. “Well, I was. But, you and I both saw how much he despises me.” His words took on a regretful tone that sobered both men a little.
Tommy wished he and Eddie would keep playing around and joking. In another world, Tommy would take this and run with it. He’d flirt, buy Eddie a drink or two. They’d hang out, hit it off, and maybe if Tommy were lucky, he’d be lucky enough to score a kiss before getting in his car and driving home.
But this wasn’t that world.
In this world, whether it was a stated thing or not, Eddie belonged to Evan. Tommy would respect that dynamic. Even though he’d admitted his feelings for Eddie, and Evan for that matter, he knew he wouldn’t act on it. Because he’d already gotten in between the two men more than he should have.
“He doesn’t despise you.” Eddie argued. “He just doesn’t know you. All he knows is that I keep hanging out with you instead of him.”
“Why do you?” The words flew out of Tommy’s mouth before he could stop them.
Eddie polished off his drink before responding. “Because I like you too.” He admitted. “And…the truth is it’s getting hard to be around Buck and ignore how I feel.”
Having the hot guy you're hanging out with pine over another man right after saying he likes you normally wouldn’t go over very well. But for some reason, Tommy actually felt honored that he’d been looped into the same statement as Eddie’s love for Evan. It somehow told him that Eddie was really into him.
“So, just tell him how you feel.” Tommy offered before downing the rest of his drink. “I know you think it’ll ruin things, but it won’t. I know it isn’t my place, but if the shit that went down on the court today says anything, it’s that he feels the same way.”
“You know, I was thinking the same thing. But I couldn’t bring myself to address it after his behavior. I don’t want him thinking that he can get his way by throwing a temper tantrum.” Timmy couldn’t help but laugh, loud and hearty at the statement.
“I can get behind that.” He said finally.
A look of pure astonishment lit Eddie’s face suddenly. “I’ve got it!” He told Tommy as he flagged down their waitress. Tommy did nothing to hide the curiosity and confusion on his face.
“What?”
Eddie handed the waitress a twenty to cover their drinks and told her to keep the change before pushing out of his chair. “Buck keeps forgetting, I’m a dad. I know how to handle a kid having a fit. I know how to give him what we both want while punishing him at the same time, but I need your help. You game?”
The mischief in Eddie’s eyes was something he hadn’t seen since the night of the rescue and it turned Tommy on to no end. Standing, he stepped around the table and up to Eddie. “I don’t know where you’re going with this. But I’m in.”

If I Ever Crossed A Line
Buck’s sex life is none of his business. Sure, it’s always something Eddie’s given passing thought. Hard not to, when Buck’s playboy reputation preceded him when they first met. It wasn’t uncommon to hear Buck and his sexcapades gossiped about at the station. And even now, though Buck’s settled into a true serial monogamist, it’s a hard habit to break, seeing Buck with someone new, and giving idle thought to the sort of chemistry they must have in bed.
Tommy though.
Eddie's imagination runs away from him, though it might end up being for the best.

casual (is it casual now?)
eddie/tommy angst | 1.1k words | read on ao3
summary: literally just the bucktommy kiss if it had been eddie instead, because lou said it was almost eddie and the show said eddie catholic guilt real and I said oh bet?
Eddie slides Tommy a beer across the table and cracks one open for himself. Despite still feeling the burn of the whiskey from the karaoke bar in his stomach, he takes a swig. “Man, I have to remember to invite Buck next week. You wouldn’t know it from looking at him, but he’s a big trivia buff.”
Tommy hums good-naturedly. “Maybe that way we’d actually break our ten-point record.” He grabs the beer and taps his fingers against the side without taking a drink. “Hey, what’s the deal with you two, if you don’t mind me asking?”
Eddie cocks his head slightly, not entirely understanding the question. “Me and Buck?”
“You talk about each other all the time, and your kid is obsessed with him. His name must have come up a dozen times the other day.”
Eddie shrugs. What is there to say about Buck? He’s Buck. He’s worked his way into every aspect of Eddie’s life, and somehow, unexpectedly, became Eddie’s favorite person in the world, after Chris. Not that he would ever tell him. His head’s big enough as it is.
“We’re like family, I guess. The whole 118 is more than a house. We’re all family.”
“Hah. I noticed.” Tommy’s voice is colored with something like bitterness. Not harsh, though. More… sad. Wistful, maybe. “Wasn’t like that when I was there.”
“Really? How so?” Without meaning to, Eddie inches closer.
Tommy lets out a puff of air and shakes his head slightly. “The whole… culture was different. Very macho. Regressive. Not that different from serving, honestly.”
That Eddie can understand. His team was close, but it was a completely different world than the 118. The jokes were sharper, aimed to hurt as often as not. The conversations shallower. Sometimes it almost felt like they didn’t want to get too close in case someone didn’t make it out. Maybe they had the right idea; he had almost died trying to get them all home. Not that he learns from his mistakes, since he knows from experience he’d stop at nothing to fight for any of his new family. It scares him if he lets it. How much he cares about all of them.
“I get it,” Eddie says, taking another swig of his beer. “You’d fit right in there now, though. The way you threw in with us in that storm.” He whistles. “Pretty fuckin’ cool.”
A small smile appears on Tommy’s face that Eddie finds difficult to read. Could be the whiskey. “You think so?”
“I know so.”
“You wouldn’t get sick of me, seeing me every day?” Tommy asks. He sets down his beer, still untouched, next to Eddie on the table, and Eddie suddenly becomes aware that he’s well within touching distance. He’d barely even have to reach out his hand.
“’Course not. Anyone would be an improvement over Buck.” Why did he say that? He doesn’t think that. But it makes Tommy laugh again. Which makes Eddie smile, even as his stomach turns from the casual cruelty of the joke.
“You’re pretty cool yourself, you know.” The calm intensity of Tommy’s eye contact is setting off alarm bells in the back of Eddie’s mind. He tries to ignore them, because something about it feels nice, like the gaze itself is casting a warm glow over him.
“Oh, am I?” Eddie replies, raising an eyebrow.
“In my book, at least. Whatever that counts for.” Impossibly, Tommy has gotten even closer, so that there’s almost no space between them at all. The alarm bells get louder, more intense, and Eddie can feel his heartbeat throughout his body.
“Definitely counts for something.” Eddie’s words come out quiet. He kind of can’t breathe.
But he doesn’t back away. He doesn’t break eye contact. Even when Tommy closes the distance completely, when his hand is under Eddie’s chin pulling it ever so slightly upwards so that their mouths meet.
Eddie’s swept away in it. The warmth, the strength of his hand, the hint of vanilla vodka still on his lips. It all makes him dizzy, twists up his head so he forgets, well, everything. Just for a moment. And he leans into the kiss until their bodies are pressed flush against each other and his hand finds its way into Tommy’s hair and—
“Shit.” Eddie pulls away abruptly, breathless. The man — the man — in front of him stares back. Kindly, questioning. And they’re the only two people in the room, but Eddie has never been more sure he’s being watched. Panic starts to migrate from the tips of his fingers wrapped in Tommy’s T-shirt and hair, all the way up into Eddie’s chest and settles there. He takes one step back, then another. The look on Tommy’s face as he does is unbearable, so he turns away, balling his hands into fists that will leave purple crescents in his palms. “I’m not… I have a girlfriend.”
“Oh.”
“It’s actually getting pretty serious. We’re moving in together soon.” Eddie winces at the lie. He hasn’t even asked her yet.
“Eddie, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know.” A gentle hand on his shoulder tells him that Tommy’s stepped closer. Instinctively, Eddie shrugs it off. And instantly feels sick.
Don’t be a fucking coward. Look him in the face, at least.
He turns to face Tommy, who looks — hurt. Worse, he looks like he’s trying not to look hurt. Eddie swallows, trying to keep down the panic as it crawls up his throat.
“Nah man, it’s on me. I shouldn’t have… I should’ve told you sooner.” Eddie scrubs a hand over his eyes. His skin itches like it’s covered with grime. His fingers twitch like they’re searching for rosary beads. “I think you should probably go. It’s getting late.”
Tommy nods, then opens his mouth as if he’s about to say something. Closes it again.
Eddie walks him to the door, trying to come up with any words that would make this less awful, but when he tries to think there’s only a dark static filling his head with noise.
With one foot outside, Tommy hesitates, lingering in the doorframe.
“Listen, Eddie. I really am sorry for the misunderstanding. But I hope you know that you can call me if you ever need to talk. I’ve been where—” He cuts himself off. Holds eye contact with Eddie for a moment. Sighs. “I’m still here for you, if you need anything.”
Eddie nods lamely. A part of him needs to delete Tommy’s number. A part of him wants to pull him back inside. He’s not even sure what for. “Thanks, Tommy.”
The door clicks shut with Tommy behind it and Eddie slides down the wood paneling to the floor, dropping his head between his knees as a heavy sob escapes his mouth.

eddietommy + darkness
Hi! Thank you so much for sending this! Sorry for the delay and for any mistakes! Hope you like it! 💜
Tommy is in bed, waiting for Eddie to finish in the bathroom. Today is one of those rare nights when both of them don't have a shift and get to actually spend it together.
Hearing the bathroom door closing, Tommy perks up, already imagining the things they are about to do.
Eddie enters the room in just his boxers and softly closes the door. Tommy starts to open his mouth with the intention of teasing and flirting with him but before he can, Eddie turns off the light, leaving the bedroom in complete darkness.
Oh, Tommy thinks, it's one of those nights.
Tommy lies on his side and patiently waits for Eddie to get in bed.
Early on in their relationship, they had learned that neither of them are good at talking about the important and hard stuff. One night, after Eddie had spent the entire day in a bad mood, making snide little comments and snapping at Tommy for whatever reason, Eddie had apologized just before they were about to fall asleep, with the room bathed in darkness, and talked about why he had acted like that during the day.
After that night, they had tried that method several times and it has always worked. Sometimes Tommy is being the one talking about whatever he's going through while Eddie listens patiently.
Once Eddie gets in bed, mirroring Tommy's position, Tommy asks in a soft voice, "What's wrong, baby?"
Eddie sighs and starts to slowly tell him what's been bothering him.
