i'm unwell!!! because in stede's eyes, ned low was right!! ned says "he [ed] only likes you because of your bumbling amateur status" and calls stede blackbeard's "pet" just like izzy did in series 1

so stede steps up as a captain, kills the man who harmed his crew, and suddenly, for once in stede's life, he isn't a joke! the gentleman pirate is taken seriously and welcomed into the pirate community!

and what happens less than 24 hours later? ed calls their night together a mistake, AND LEAVES.

yes, obviously the situation is more nuanced, and these old men are once again struggling to communicate, but i 100% understand why stede went a bit of the rails at the end of episode 7. stede's been so focused on trying to help ed, that he's completely ignored his own ongoing identity crisis and trauma, and after the incident at the academy in series 1, this meltdown was long overdue.

✨I finished it✨

The Lighthouse and the Kraken, my silly little idea for something to do with a damaged ceramic lighthouse I had that turned into one of the most labour intense art projects I've ever done. I poured so many hours and love into this thing, and posting the progress on here and having you guys cheering it on kept me motivated to see it through❤️ (even when I had to take a break for a few weeks because my shoulder got worn out from working on it)

the way several characters have told ed and stede to "shut up" in some way, shape, or form. but when they're both talking to each other, they absolutely cling to every single word. they can't get enough of each other's stories, or ramblings, or little recounts of their days.

EdWin Week Day 1!!! - Bittersweet

ok i know i already put this in the tags of the lfj priest pic but i needed to make a post on this for maybe someone to see this and write this au

a bucktommy au where tommy is a catholic priest:

buck is not a religious person but one day while on a call he meets priest tommy. buck cannot stop thinking about this priest. buck decides to look him up and finds the church tommy works at. because he cannot stop thinking about the priest, buck decides to go and start confessions there just to talk to tommy. at first buck just talks, about his life, his job. it then dives deep into buck's personal issues. he feels so free talking to tommy. eventually buck starts flirting with tommy, leading him to confess how tommy makes him feel. it then leads to buck confessing to tommy what he would do to him in bed, desprate for something. it becomes more and more of a frequent thing. buck goeing to confessions and telling tommy exactly what he would do to him. his words become more and more heated. and he is enjoying it, and he knows full well tommy is enjoying it as well. the sweet sounds of tommy's heavy breathing becoming deeper and deeper witheach confession. each time buck would find himself hard knowing full well tommy would as well based on the huffs and even light moans from tommy's lips. it becomes nearly an everyday thing, where buck goes to confession and whisper to tommy in that small confession bos what he would do to tommy if he head him in bed. buck hopes one day soon the confessions will eventually happen in his own bed where he won't just tell tommy what he would do to him, but show him.

Stede couldn’t let Ed talk to him about Lowe’s death because he still thinks he needs to be able to handle the blood on his face! He still wants to prove he’s a man! He thinks that a man defends his crew, his love, his space, with his sword; and he can’t let Ed ask him about it so gently, because he’ll end up sobbing in a bathtub under a robe. And he’ll defend Ed’s right to do that any day, but he is not prepared to fall apart, not when he’s spent the whole season trying to be Ed’s pirate prince, with the beard and the sword and the ruthlessness. Ed’s telling him he doesn’t need that — that he wants the sparkly, golden Stede whose strength is in saving, not killing. But Stede isn’t ready to see what Ed sees — to give up his own dream yet.
