THE TEAM IS GROWING
Ok, so you know how Loki plopped me in front of Apollo recently and was like, "You work together now."? Well, back when I was doing those free rune readings, someone gave me an energy reading in return (I forgot who, but I'll edit to add their tag when I can!) In the reading, they mentioned a frog. I have had no previous connections to frogs, so I was very confused. But last month, I did a little journey to meet this apparent frog with Loki, and today, I did some tarot readings to learn more about the work they want to do together. (If you're wondering, it's hella shadow work. 🙄 But also connecting with more land spirits in regards to channeling and working with them in that capacity....but mostly shadow work.) I started looking up associations with frogs in different cultures. A lot of them mentioned transformation because of their life cycle (and working with a shapeshifter, it isn't super surprising such a creature might approach me/be recruited to help me). What stood out to me, though, was that the Japanese word for frog also means "to return." Images and items that look like frogs are given to people for safe travels so they can return home. I am not crazy familiar with Japanese culture, so I didn't know this. But that meaning really resonates with shadow work, I think. Because it's all about getting back to yourself and finding safety and comfort in yourself no matter what your struggles. So now I got Frog on my team.
THEN, because in my search for frog associations I found things about Chinese cultural associations, I started thinking about the Monkey King, Sun Wukong. My Trickster's Journey tarot deck is based on Monkey's journey in Journey to the West. In the Chinese zodiac, I was born in the year of the Monkey. I was feeling a little bit of a nudge and pull there. So I also talked with Monkey about what working together would be about. It's sounds like we'd be practicing some shrewd business and working on charisma to help in all my business-related dealings. Essentially taping into the energy and vibes associated with the year of the Monkey in the zodiac. With the possible rune readings gig on the horizon and my general desire to do that, that all makes perfect sense. So it would seem like Monkey's joining my spiritual Board of Directors as well.
As of right now, the apparent major players helping me out right now are
Loki, for general love, support and nudging, and being my home base (which also includes their kin) ❤️🏠
Apollo, for taking better care of my health and working on creating structure in my life.🗓🥗
Frog, for making sure I properly address all my emotions, even the dark and heavy ones I'd rather just ignore (and expand my channeling practice with land spirits). 🐸👥
And Sun Wukong, for building up my charisma and confidence to help me be the business person I really want to be, and just generally play the parts I need to play to get me where I want to go. 🐵👔 (OMG searching for these emojis I typed in "monkey" then "business"....like we're getting into literal monkey business. There's that trickster energy 🤣)
We'll see how these new developments play out. I still feel like I need to know Monkey a lot more before getting into the weeds with him. But maybe not? I guess we'll see lol. (So if anyone has any experience with him or knows others that do or know other good resources, let me know!)
I'm having a time over here, I tell you what...

hello, all! i’m benji, relatively new to larger witch communities, but have been on-and-off interested in witchcraft since i was about 20! i’m a crafter, and am interested in selling some of my services in order to afford doctor’s visits so i can get on disability!
i have several options for you to choose from if you want to support my business endeavors, under the cut! (All prices are in USD!)
Sigils
I will make sigils for different intentions at $3 per sigil. No curses.
Tarot Readings
I work with several different gods and goddesses who help me with divination, and I’m willing to do a three card spread (typically Past/Present/Future in some aspect) for $15.
Prayer Cords/Prayer Beads
The price of these depends on how intricate you want the prayer cord to be, or how many beads you want, but I can infuse the beads with intent or make you a personalized prayer cord, depending on what you prefer. A single prayer cord would be $18, and prayer beads would be sold in a minimum of 6 beads per order, at $0.50 a bead.
Alter Cloths
Depending on the intricacy of the cloth and the pattern, these will be higher priced items. I charge $9/hour/item, so if you wanted, say, a 3x3in cloth for a pocket alter, and it took me 30 minutes, I would charge you $4.50. Any alter cloth beyond a certain length may take me several hours and I will charge accordingly. I will also charge more depending on the price of the yarn you want to use and if I need to purchase a specific pattern for your item.
Other Knit/Crochet Items with Intent
I also make shawls, scarves, hats, and stuffed toys that I can infuse with witchy intent. I charge $9/hr/item, and the complexity of the pattern dictates how long it will take me to make. Again, I will charge more based on if I have the yarn you want me to use already or if I have to purchase new skeins, and if you have a specific pattern you want that I do not already have access to, I will charge for the purchase of that pattern as well.
If you’re interested in any of these, please DM me or check out my Ko-Fi!

The set up for my Sabbats is always so much longer than the ritual itself lol
Still, I see it as a part of it, so it’s fine.
It also didn’t feel like a “do magic/divination” kinda night either which is why it felt so short.
Either way I’m glad I did it, though I did get a little push of encouragement (wasn’t feeling in the spirit and time blindness was a factor). So thank you @n0tthec0ffeemachine for that! I do feel better and a bit more connected with myself.
It’s surprising was grounding and light meditation can do lol.
Pictures are also pre ritual, would have been too dark to take them during.

Ever since I was 12 my grandma has preferred me to not accompany her to church as whenever they sing, chant, light candles, or read from the book, I just whisper, "Witchcraft".

Intro/ pinned (2025)
Hello, my name is Neon! I go by any pronouns and I am an agender lesbian! I am currently 25 and I am AuDHD. This blog is mainly going to be used as a book of shadows with me reblogging information and recording a few things from my own path as I go.
I have been a pagan for around 10 years now and my current path is best described as 'eclectic chaos magic' with influences from Hellenism, kemeticisim, Asatru and Appalachian folk magic as well as Chaos Magick. I am open to learning other paths.
My current deities include:
-Artemis (My Matron)
-Loki
-Hermes Oneiropompus
-Bastet
-Athena
and a few more here and there.
My main tools are my tarot cards and my stones, but I am trying to connect with my pendulums. I also use a good amount of candles in my practice and I do meditate and work with dreams as well.
One of my goals this year is try to work with some of the calendars from my current path.

🔮 My Tarot Decks + Crystals 🔮
UPDATE: For a more up-to-date list of my Tarot/Oracle decks, check this post!
I wouldn't consider myself an 'official Witch' or anything like that, but as an artist I'm attracted to the beauty of things like this. I've been collecting idols of Ganesha and pretty stones ever since I was a middle-schooler. As for Tarot, I finally got my first deck in November 2022. I've been passionate about studying the art of reading them ever since then!
So far the resource that has resonated with me most is the podcast Root Lock Radio. Approaching the cards from a psychological/therapeutic angle just makes the most sense to me! (Also shoutout to Weston's explanation for the suit of Swords. Finally understood why thoughts = conflict.)
The eclectic collection of cards you see above are my favorites from each of my decks: A holographic blue version of the classic Rider-Waite-Smith, The Mystical Manga Tarot by RANN, Tarot of the Golden Wheel by Mila Losenko, and Tarot of Oppositions by Zizzi & D'Aloisio
This blog is mostly for text posts and aesthetics, but I'm thinking I might start doing Tarot readings on here too! I know I don't really have many Followers, but if you've read this far, please leave a comment with your favorite Tarot card, it would make me smile.

There’s a tarot deck I found on Etsy that I really want. It’s affordable, I love the artwork, but the shipping is what’s stopping me from getting it because THE SHIPPING COSTS MORE THAN THE DECK PRICE IS!
Just needed to vent.

Queer witches have always been here
We all know the gays love tarot and astrology, but did you know that the connection between witchcraft and queer sexuality goes back to ancient times?
Throughout history, cultures all around the world have believed that queer people have special spiritual or magical abilities. While "queer" and related labels like "gay," "lesbian," and "transgender" are modern terms, all cultures have people who exist outside of mainstream gender and sexuality norms. These people with non-normative identities are sometimes believed to have a special connection to the world of spirits.
(I am using the word "queer" as a convenient umbrella term for all of these complex identities, but I do recognize that this isn't historically accurate.)
In some cases, such as some parts of Europe, these queer people were explicitly called witches or magicians. "Deviant" sexual behavior was often part of accusations during the English witch trials, for example.
In other cultures, queer identity is connected to other special spiritual roles. Some examples include:
Ancient Mesopotamian sal-zikrum (literally “women-men,” priests of Inanna)
Ancient Roman galli (male priests of the goddess Cybele who were castrated as part of their initiation)
Old Norse vitkar, men who practiced a feminine magical art called seiðr and were sometimes accused of having sex with other men
It's interesting to note that many cultures assign a special spiritual role to people who fall outside the categories of "man" and "woman" -- people we might identify today as nonbinary or genderfluid. In other cultures, magic was associated with homosexuality or bisexuality.
And then, of course, we get into modern occult movements with figures like Aleister Crowley who, as hateful as he may have been in some ways (and he was), was also unabashedly queer in his practice and his writings. If you follow any magical path influenced by Crowley's writings, including Wicca and Wicca-inspired witchcraft, you are borrowing from the work of a queer sorcerer.
Several of the most notable witchy and pagan authors of the 20th century were/are also queer. Scott Cunningham, who pioneered ecclectic Wicca as we know it today, was a gay man. Starhawk, who wrote The Spiral Dance and founded Reclaiming, is bisexual. Stewart and Janet Farrar, who published some of the first widely available books about traditional Wicca, were in a polyamorous triad with Gavin Bone. (Stewart has passed away, but Janet and Gavin are still together.) If you read any popular book on witchcraft or occultism published in the last 50 years, it probably cites at least one queer author.
Witchcraft has always been queer. We have always been here, and we're not going anywhere any time soon.
#citing these authors as examples does not mean i agree with them or recommend their work#but i have to respect the queer witches who paved the way#queer witch#queer witchcraft#queer magic#queer history#queer spirituality#queer#lgbtqia#lgbtq+#lgbt#witch#witchcraft#witchblr#witch resource#pagan#paganism#pagan witch#paganblr#inclusive heathenry#reclaiming witchcraft#wicca#history#occultism#occult#magic#magick#long post#my writing#mine
