constantly thinking about parallels between the bugbusters episode and the movie with raph and leos roles being reversed:

raph was overconfident and wasn't listening to his team (mainly leo) and he paid the price for it when draxum threw leo off the roof (and he leapt after Leo without a thought or a plan or care for his own safety)

I just had the most exiting realization!! I’ve seen some people refer to Raph and Mikey as the sun shine duo, and originally that got me thinking about how that would make the twins the moonlight duo yeah?

But then I was listening to “When the Sun Loves the Moon” by Reinaeiry and I’ve always put Leo and Mikey into the position of Sun and Moon (not in a TC*ST kinda way but in a color coordination kinda way) and the last few lines of the song go

“Oh how they long, for dawn”

And I originally thought of how in the context of colors of the ninja turtles that would be Raph and Donnie, right? But i didn’t really know what colors dawn was so I started looking at pictures of dawn and dusk and now I see that

Mikey and Leo as a duo would be the Dawn duo and Donnie and Raph are the Dusk duo. This is because dawn is typically blue with yellows showing up with cloudy or hazy skies, while dusk is typically light lavenders and pinks.
